126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Needed: Antminer L3+ batch 1 or 2 firmware (not the one now on Bitmain site) on: October 17, 2017, 03:30:25 AM
If I am in the wrong section, I am sorry for that but I see a lot of your comment only to ask to move to Altcoin? Why?
If I use Antimers L3+ mining, lets say Prohashing, I can use them on BTC payout? So what is the difference?
Not much, only your Dogma standing in your way I think. Please don't think A SHA miner is just all. There is more...
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Needed: Antminer L3+ batch 1 or 2 firmware (not the one now on Bitmain site) on: October 17, 2017, 03:01:22 AM
Hi Guys,

I am looking for a L3+ firmware batch 1 or 2 (downloaded a while ago on the Bitmain support site, not the one now)
Should have downloaded it myself back then, but you know how things go...

I run my Antminers L3+ with one fan instead of two, it seems to be 2\3 degrees colder without the back fan.
But after flashing one today with the new firmware on the site I cannot run this one with one fan anymore! WTF!
I cannot download a firmware of my other L3+ so if I would like full control back with one fan I need an older firmware...
Hope there is someone that has downloaded all there history firmwares etc.  Wink

I think full control is absolute great. I have one of my L3+ DC 390MH @630 Watt with 29% ONE Fan and it is mining just 4 meters from where I sleep! However I have ordered a 3000 RPM 43DB (max) 178CFM Noctua fan and I think with this one I will get my sleeproom L3+ even more silent and even back up to 504MH! With just one Fan and beneath 43DB... (My R4 does 49DB)
ps. The L3+ also provides some nice heat, nice extra feature coming the winter time...

But again if you have an older L3+ firmware downloaded and willing to share with me, please let me know!

128  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I am hope to do a comparison of the avalon 741 the s-9 the syan miner. on: October 10, 2017, 03:19:59 PM
-whoops, this is allready mentioned in the Syan thread-

LOL, a -silent- home miner with a 6200RPM fan Smiley

https://syanmining.com/

This thing wil make more noise then an S9 !!

(and then the dimensions... It can fit 190 chips + psu + watercooling...)
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BCH bleeding death? on: October 09, 2017, 05:22:01 PM

Why not order your S9 direct by Bitmain? If I am correct they are selling right now...

133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JP Morgan says Bitcoin is fraud and will blow up ???? on: September 14, 2017, 03:15:57 PM
You guys really think that Exchanges Trade -real- BTC and Altcoin??

It are just 0's en 1's and they hold all your coins in their wallets. You are NOT exchanging real coins.
And I think -that- is what has to change!
134  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Can I use a R4 controller with S9 blades? on: September 11, 2017, 08:10:29 PM
Yeah, I would like to control the frequency and fan speed myself and try to get me a silent S9 Wink

Wil give this a try and see how it works out for me. Thanks!

If this is just about need to control frequency and fan speed manually, then you can try my trick that I have posted earlier in the S9 and R4 threads  Smiley :

This was done with R4. I have no autotune S9 to test it.

This is also S9 related, so I thought to share this here as well.
If there is someone with a desire for non-autotune settings, be brave and please report if you get same results as I had  Wink

Well, this is an interesting find and I thought I'll share it with you. Smiley

I had a problem booting my Antminer R4 8.0 Th/s, batch 2, autotune-model.

So I went looking in here:
Bitmain.com: Three Ways to Restore Factory Settings (R4/S9/T9)
https://enforum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/3957

I used the last option in the list, IP Reporter button restore.
Quote from: Bitmain
Usage: Please power off the miner, then hold down the IP Reporter and don’t release it. At the same time, please power on the miner.
Releasing the IP Reporter after 5 seconds, the machine will automatically restore factory settings.

My miner restored with firmware Aug. 9 2016 and autotune settings were gone.
I am now suddenly able to control frequency and custom fan settings.  Cheesy

This was not my original problem, but I'm happy with it.
My original problem was that the miner jammed somehow in the booting process and didn't even show up in my router ip list.

135  Bitcoin / Hardware / Can I use a R4 controller with S9 blades? on: September 10, 2017, 11:40:52 PM
Can I use a R4 controller with S9 blades?

Anyone tried this? Using a R4 controller with S9 blades? Just wondering because the chips are the same,
but this controller with the Zynq 7020 on it does support full range of Mhz selection and full range of Fan control.

So if this can be used on S9 blades you can fully personalize your miner, (very) silent and (much) lower hashrate or
select whatever ideal freq. and fan percentage you need\like in your situation...

Please let me know what you think? Or have tested Smiley

Very nice review, seems to be a good competitor for the L3+

Wonder how did do 900W @28nm instead of Antminers 800W @16nm...

Really would like to get my hand on some of these Wink

Also send you a PM

139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: August 24, 2017, 04:24:01 PM
I have been up to try and get my hands on some L3+ but couldn't get the order through. (And then expired)

Also my mate did the same thing, If he would have lucky ordering he would order some for me and visa versa.
We both had our LTC ready and then you find some *ssholes with no money ordering and have some up for sale Sad

Well, I will never buy from them. I just don't give them a chance and I will wait till... (next week?)
