Rampton.

Thanks.
122  Economy / Gambling / Re: WIN88.ME - BITCOIN DICE | LOTTO | RPSLS on: March 18, 2015, 10:51:30 AM
But anyway, let's give it a try, what's their email address?
And where was it published?

Trying to find out better if they are a trustworthy site or not.

Why bother? They seem pretty shady to me. Not saying they're a scam but some of there behavior is a bit suspect especially with what seems to have gone on in here or has been alledged. There are plenty of better much more trusted options to gamble especially for dice sites. I'd give this one a miss personally.

What have we done to be untrustworthy?  We pay everyone out, out games are provably fair, we don't have fake numbers like many of the sites. and we've now been operating longer than most.

The things detailed about by espringe stunna and hilariousandco don't give me much confidence and the way you try promote the site seems a bit unethical or at the very least desperate.
123  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Holy shit this is creepy. 9/11. Steven Emerson Adviser for the FBI on: March 09, 2015, 03:40:31 PM
It has been rumored (and in many cases it is the truth) bin Laden and others were/are trained CIA agents. They were trained operatives that the U.S. was/is using to conquer the Middle East.

I know it sounds like conspiracy theory but it is very likely he was involved with the CIA in the past especially with the Russian/Afghan war and the CIA backed the Taliban or whatever they were called then, but that doesn't mean he was still and ally before 9/11 (not that I think he had anything to do with it for sure) but the CIA has backed many terrorists in the past as long as it furthers their agenda or they can overthrow who they want them to overthrow.

Marco said it might take a month or two here.
Noting the way timelines are met here, wouldn't be surprised if it is in 2016.  Tongue

Ha. Most can stick to deadlines but I'd take dates announced as speculation not concrete dates state in stone, though it seems to be only Primedice and this forum that misses them MASSIVELY  Grin.

128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin insurance ever be a reality? on: February 23, 2015, 06:53:35 PM
I don't think bitcoin insurance is even a possiblity , after reading some comments that coinbase and circle provide insurance to the accounts
But then again this guys post cleared my doubt!

According to that a company is offering insured trading. Insurance isn't such a massive issue and most legit companies will have insurance that covers their own end at least (though not for users 'claiming; their funds got 'hacked'.
129  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: wordpress removes bitcoin payment option on: February 23, 2015, 06:49:17 PM
Typical bandwaggon jumpers. When the price goes to 1k+ again they will put it again. Bitcoin naysayers have no notions.

Why would that matter? They'll use a payment processor so they're covered. I don't think this is the case and is likely an error like someone pointed out above.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dread Pirate Roberts Killed 5 men? on: February 09, 2015, 08:57:26 AM
I wasn't sure DPR ordered a hit before. After reading a transcript, it does seem likely. I don't even know if the guy in question did really die. Is the whole conversation staged to scare him out?

No, no one died but the feds mocked up some photos to show that he'd been 'killed'. The people who he was talking to trying to organize the hits were also police informants.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the elites plan when they get back from the island? on: February 09, 2015, 08:54:07 AM
What will happen? Absolutely nothing.

Bitcoin was meant to be decentralized and open this seems to be quite the opposite imo

And it still is, but that doesn't mean groups of people can form their own boys club. Let them have their secret meetings. It doesn't matter.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Winklevoss Twins Aim to Take Bitcoin Mainstream With a Regulated Exchange on: January 30, 2015, 04:23:14 PM
I don't see the big deal in this other than having the Winkelvi name attached. Don't get me wrong I'm glad they're getting involved and are promoting bitcoin but I'm more concerned about decentralized exchanges. I'm sure this is just a ploy for them to scoop up massive amounts of bitcoins easily through taking their cut of fees.
133  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to get an avatar on the forum right now! on: January 07, 2015, 02:10:20 PM
This is actually pretty cool, but it's not really an avatar though is it? Just a signature at the end of the day Cheesy.
134  Economy / Services / Re: Silver Wallets Signature Campaign on: January 07, 2015, 01:55:16 PM
Got my wallet. Will leave feedback now for the both of you. I'll also keep my signature in place until the new Primedice campaign re-opens. Thanks.

This is definitely a really nice hardware wallet of sorts that any newcomer to Bitcoin should use. Now you can hold your Bitcoin in your hand and it's not some flimsy piece of paper but real metal. Cool

Aren't hardware wallets electronic? This is just a physical wallet, but a nice one at that.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And 2014's Worst Currency Was...Bitcoin (Bloomberg) 12/23/14 on: December 23, 2014, 03:10:28 PM
It's true that bitcoin hasn't done great this year, but they're missing the point. Some of us can see the value past its fiat worth and we must remember that 1btc is still worth 1btc.
136  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | The Most Popular Bitcoin Game | 1% Edge | Active Chat | Free BTC on: December 15, 2014, 12:46:12 PM
Martingale is a poison.

Like most things unless you use in moderation. You could even argue gambling is poison. Martingale isn't really any different from just randomly gambling.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government confiscation on: December 15, 2014, 12:42:45 PM
I keep about 80% of my bitcoins in my Coinbase (US company) online vault, and about 20% online in my BTC-E (foreign company) account.  I always have a teeny tiny worry in the back of mind that I'll wake up one day and the headlines will read "US Government bans Bitcoin, freezes all Bitcoin assets" and I will be unable to access my Coinbase coins.  Am I paranoid?

If you aren't the sole controller of your private keys, you don't have any bitcoins.

No government can "freeze" properly secured bitcoins.

They could crack the password like they did with some of DPR's coins, though if you have a ridiculously strong password this shouldn't be too much of an issue.
138  Economy / Services / Re: Silver Wallets Signature Campaign on: November 29, 2014, 12:10:54 PM
I have completed both my minimum posts and within the 60 days. I'll likely keep my signature in place until PrimeDice re-opens their deal. Thanks for the campaign and really looking forward to receiving my wallet.

If you have any open spots, I would like to join.  My current signature campaign is over tomorrow (November 29 ).

This campaign is pretty much over and has been closed for a while.
139  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: November 29, 2014, 12:07:12 PM
So is there any open deals for a Senior at the moment (will be one once my activity updates)? Might just keep my Silver Wallets signature in for a bit if I can't find one and wait for PrimeDice to re-open. Good to see the rumblings of other deals soon to be released too.
140  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Payment Recieved scam on: November 21, 2014, 04:44:12 PM
c) I don't have a blockchain account.

TREAT AS SUSPECT!

I think merely treating it as a scam/suspect is an understatement. I think you're safe in guaranteeing it's a scam based on C alone  Grin (though all three reasons combined should seal the deal). If anyone gets these types of emails they should just load up a bookmark and check their balance on the blockchain instead rather than clicking on links. The beauty of the blockchain is you don't even need to log in to see your balance as it's all there for anyone to see.

i got my $2,031.88 - fools!

lol...
do you realize that some stupid folks could now try to follow the scam-link?

LOL, or leave him negative feedback from promoting a scam Cheesy (though if anyone lost money because of a joke/sarcasm it's probably their own fault).
