How's it possible
For bitcoin to be so high
Yet I still feel rekt

122  Other / Meta / Re: [Voting 2024] Bitcoin Pizza Day on Bitcointalk 🍕 on: June 08, 2024, 07:39:34 AM
First the votes

Code:
I vote for: #17, #45, #77, #83, #111

Jeez icopress, this looks like a crazy amount of organization on your part, kudos to you for that.

Not gonna lie, a lot of these pizzas look awful  Cheesy

#70 - what in the actual F is the big red slab the BTC is made out of? Is that even edible?? If its raw steak, OK, maybe cook it and then I can get behind it.

Clearly some people don't know what a pizza is, and I can't get myself to vote for any of the ones that make the BTC out of ketchup, sorry, can't do it.

Could I do better? Probably not.
123  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: June 08, 2024, 06:17:23 AM
What is happening here, is it an upgrade?
Ethereum and its tokens have been removed from exch, they do not exist in the dropdown menu nor are they shown in the reserves.

edit:

07-06-2024 ETH node downtime Ethereum node crashed and corrupted its blockdata files itself. We are currently resyncing the whole blockchain which will take some hours. All affected orders (that involve ETH, USDT, DAI and USDC) will be processed once the resynchronitzation is complete.

Ah OK that explains some things. I was trying to make a swap for ETH yesterday and kept getting errors during the exchange process. Although ETH was an option, it didn't get as far as generating a deposit address, so no harm, no foul. Will just be patient and check back later.

Our donations today:
...

Outstanding, and truly commendable.

@ChiBitCTy. Wait for Netflix Sports hehehe. What might be on their roadmap is if Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is a very successful and a very profitable event, I speculate they might open their platform for most of the major leagues in America and Europe.

Aw man, they postponed it until Nov 15. The NFL season will be more than halfway over by then. And Tyson will be 5 months older. He's already too old to be doing this IMO. Not that I would mind seeing him smash Jake Paul's stupid face.

https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/40297849/jake-paul-mike-tyson-boxing-match-rescheduled-nov-15
Quote
Paul-Tyson's new date will raise eyebrows with it falling on a Friday instead of a Saturday, which is commonplace for major boxing events. But with the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Houston Texans on Nov. 18 for "Monday Night Football," a Friday fight would give the stadium time to set up for the Cowboys game.

If Netflix is promoting it, does that mean that Netflix subscribers will get to watch it for free? I doubt it but that would be sweet.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 500sat/vb for a transaction? Has the world gone mad? on: June 08, 2024, 05:52:01 AM
Miners are slowly crunching through these big ass consolidation transactions. We now see some from 19 hours ago that are ripe for pickup in the next couple blocks as fees have fallen to ~$7.

TL;DR: bitcoin is doing what it is supposed to do just fine.

This is why Ordinals and its metastasis including Runes is categorized as an exploit and an attack.

*according to you and you only
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 500sat/vb for a transaction? Has the world gone mad? on: June 08, 2024, 02:49:16 AM
Its not Ordinals or Runes. As has been pointed out already, its (still) these poorly-executed consolidation transactions that for whatever reason miners are refusing to pick up, even after 16 hours. Look, these are the current "data" transactions in orange:

They include all Ordinals, Runes & other transaction that make use of SegWit or OP_RETURN.

The big, dark blocks are the consolidation transactions, which all have fees of 106-107 sat/vByte. So in theory they should be picked up shortly, but for whatever reason they are not.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MemoryDealers aka Roger Ver Arrested! on: June 08, 2024, 02:39:22 AM
Interesting that he wasn't extradited. I don't understand how the US can hold a tax trial in Spain.

Really wish they'd stop using the term 'Bitcoin Jesus'. Supposedly, as I understand it, Jesus never hoarded wealth or celebrated it. 'Bitcoin Evangelist' is far more appropriate, but 'Bcash Shill' is even moreso.
128  Economy / Reputation / Re: To freebitco.in and their representative, TheQuin on: June 07, 2024, 08:57:35 AM
I probably miscounted a bit, but let's round it down: winning $200 is 50 times less likely than winning $20, and that makes the difference 25 12.5 times larger than it should be.

You know that such a small sample doesn't prove anything, don't you? Every day I see plays that have a 5% or less chance of happening.

The difference is due to the way that FBC rounds the number. I believe it was TheQuin who actually explained how it works once, but basically he said the chance of spinning a 10000 is only half of how it appears... I can't find the exact post that explains it but this is why the $200 win happens disproportionately less often than the $20 win.

Regardless, it seems to me the prudent thing to do is to continue supporting the flag on wetsuit until management explains what happened with user funds in these incidents.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Shitcoin 3.0 - First Parody Token on the First Parody Blockchain! on: June 07, 2024, 08:27:49 AM
Just deployed the ERC20 contract for the token bridge.

Feeling pretty fancy, NGL.

ShitcoinDAO CEO Turd Ferguson made another public statement on Twitter today, this time addressing the epidemic of fraudulent celebrity coins currently gripping the degenosphere.

"Now I may not be a celebrity or even a real person, but there's one thing I can't tell you: its that we ain't no rug," said Ferguson. "We launched almost 10 years ago and we ain't going nowhere. And you can hang your hat on that, jack," he added.

130  Economy / Reputation / Re: AI Spam Report Reference Thread on: June 07, 2024, 07:03:51 AM
I'm mostly curious about what they're aiming for. Is each case we report here a separate individual, or are there a few of them with several alts? Possibly both, but do they really think they'll get away with it? And what's their purpose? To rank up enough to join a campaign? How in the world do they believe that they'll actually end up in a campaign, passing through the ranks undetected? Are they really that gullible?

That's a good question. Surely most sig campaigners must know about this thread by now, so I'd say there's a high chance they are visiting the forum for the first time or came back from a hiatus.

There's definitely some accounts that continue to use ChatGPT but manually change some of the words in an attempt to avoid detection (this mostly happens in the Gambling section). Even for these accounts, there's no way that they will be able to do this all the way until Legendary before somebody figures out what's going on.
131  Economy / Reputation / Re: *Groan* Report of Harassment and Defamation on: June 07, 2024, 05:47:56 AM
Here's the problem: you're wasting your time advertising your... thing... in this section of the forum. You should stick to the Gambling board and maybe Services. So now you have like 5 threads in Reputation, all of which haven't gone in your favor. Can I ask what help you think you're doing yourself by putting on such a "show" for all to bear witness? If its for the sake of marketing, I'd have a hard time believing its working.
132  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 06, 2024, 12:14:15 AM

It tastes like... freedom.
133  Other / Meta / Re: There's enough merits, if hoarders aren't selfish. on: June 06, 2024, 12:07:56 AM
Personally speaking, I have no desire to help members who join the Eloncoin sig campaign to rank up. In general, it proves the bar for campaign entry is far too low around here, and it makes me want to be stingy with my merits.

To be fair, I looked through your posts and they are better than the average account in your campaign. Although this one was kind of weird:

...
Still, considering the fact that most human text are almost as similar to AI text, I think we as humans should endeavor to make purposeful mistakes repeatedly in perhaps tenses or spelling of words so as to show we are humans, because I believe one reason why there's a confusion when trying to distinguish human from AI essays is the perfection that exists mostly in the scientific uses of tenses and grammar.

I'd say its more like some people take the time to make sure what they're writing makes sense, and others don't -- mainly because they are in a rush to crank out shitposts.

Congrats on selling your SHITCOIN stash. You opened a dispenser with all the other tokens I gave you on a single address, so you sold everything all at once. Someone got a hell of a good deal. But in exchange you got 1616 Dogecoins, so congrats! Only took slightly over 1.5 years, lol.

I don't understand, how users can expect to evolve, if they don't allow the flowers to blossom.

You all are bees, so spread your pollen.

This is exactly what our "pollen" consists of, at least in part: warning newbs and the less educated when a project displays major red flags, which yours does. You may be able to appeal to some people, somewhere on the internet, but it won't be here, with us.

Unlimited Money Generator, modern term, now evolve, and adapt!

That's gonna be a hard pass from me dawg.

136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: June 05, 2024, 12:14:21 PM
I had a bet offer the other day that I couldn't refuse: the person offering the bet wants to take Kansas City to win next season's Super Bowl, and I get all 31 other teams. Its a 1:1 payout. So I had to take it based on sheer math:

Chiefs aren't even in #1 position currently -- that honor belongs to the Niners.

His reasoning was the Chiefs will face a bunch of mediocre opponents in their division, and he may be right about that, but they also have to

1) make it to the playoffs in the first place
2) win all playoff games
3) win the S.B.

Chiefs would be my immediate pick for next year, but I can't ignore the odds as well as he can.
137  Economy / Reputation / Re: AI Spam Report Reference Thread on: June 05, 2024, 11:56:47 AM
That last one was me, it was from ChatGPT when I first discovered it and I overwrote our initial post but couldn't get it back. Anyway, I updated it again with pertinent data for posterity. I'm not a spammer or scammer though.

This was from last September. I'm actually now of the opinion that its OK to use ChatGPT if you are doing it for self-promotional purposes. It will come across as insincere and cheesy to those who know what's going on (why wouldn't you just take the time to describe your product in your own words?), but its not necessarily spam, per se, and not posting to fulfill the requirements of a signature campaign also comes into consideration.
138  Economy / Reputation / Re: The science behind Poker Player, Vod, and JollyGoods Destruction. on: June 05, 2024, 11:37:41 AM
Furthermore, it is 2024.

Nobody is going to try and scam, you with the name Unlimited Money Generator.

I don't think there is anyone dumb enough to do that, in general.

WOW

WOW

If it was an actual "unlimited money generator" then you wouldn't need customers! You'd just be using it yourself, make a pile of money, and then retire without bugging us. It would make life a lot easier for you and everyone who has to read your words.

Nobody here is going to be your customer. We've seen it all, a hundred times before, and we're not interested. Just accept that and move on.
139  Economy / Reputation / Re: To freebitco.in and their representative, TheQuin on: June 03, 2024, 04:12:24 PM
I am not sure whether I should remove the negative feedback and I also want to know others opinions.
Maybe, we can consider changing the feedback type to neutral for now? or remove it? I am not sure.

It was obviously a technical problem and not an intention to deceive users. The flag and negative tags that were left and based on this reference are obviously no longer appropriate. I don't know if there are any other active scam accusations, but I would consider this as solved.

What about the users that had their BTC sent to an address that wasn't theirs?

FreeBitco.in Appears Hacked - Monthly Prize Money Stolen From Multiple Users

I'd like to know more about what happened here before withdrawing support for the flag.
140  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake doesn't pay my winnings - $12000 on: June 03, 2024, 06:12:35 AM
You have made a world record for longest max win lol  Grin

I could really only watch half of it before I started to get bored & got the point. Huge win.
