121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto going Banned in China? Bitcoin going Illegal? on: September 09, 2017, 05:07:08 PM
I hope they will not try to Ban all crypto coins in China.

i hope they DO BAN all crypto in China including bitcoin. it will be once and for all and we will get rid of them for good!

i am honestly sick and tired of hearing about news coming from China that always spikes FUD and causes bitcoin price to swing around wildly. if there was reality to these swings i wouldn't have been as mad.

some bullshit rises from China and panic sellers start giving away their bitcoin to whales instead of taking the cheap coins from whales. and we have all seen where each of these panic sells end up...
The official ban in of crypto in China actually wouldn't be that bad as many would think. It would certainly clear the air and clear the speculation.
In the same way that the previous ban on leverage trading on Chinese bitcoin exchanges, after it we never have such dramatic price spikes and sell offs.
I wonder how this ban would affect bitcoin mining though? I hope that Chinese bitcoin miners don't give a damn about minor inconvenience like that tho.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi is Back! Is Craig Wright an Imposter or Brilliant Marketer? on: September 08, 2017, 06:12:44 PM
Dr. Craig Wright is a genius and is helping to save Bitcoin through Bitcoin Cash. Exciting times! Do not miss out! https://twitter.com/mikerelentless/status/905927067245666304
You know what? I wouldn't have problem with Craig Wright if he would be a straightforward man for one, but he is a slick bastard and attention craving whore.
Heck, he might even be a man behind of the original bitcoin creation process (I doubt it) but his recent actions made him a very dubious figure.
SO what that he is intelligent and bright when at the same time he seems like a totall crook? Plus the link you posted is nothing more than trolling attempt Wink
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today, Bitcoin dump ? on: September 08, 2017, 05:39:16 PM
a lot of bad news circulated a few days. china forbids ico and it affects the exchange rate of bitcoin and all coins. even new today changer in china close their booth. and increasingly makes the bitcoin price drop dramatically. and reportedly again about malaysia which he said follow in the footsteps of china. but not to worry this all must have passed.
ICO ban is actually not that bad idea. I agree that it is a bit extreme move but in the end it will be the best option for old coins like Bitcoin.
When people will realize that ICO fast money schemes are no longer an option they will face all attention to Bitcoin.
This will effectively strengthen Bitcoin's position - traders instead of ICO will buy BTC/LTC/BCH/ETH
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Drops Below $5,000, So sad! on: September 07, 2017, 10:12:21 PM
I will share some of my thought with you guys, so you will understand that price temporary pirce decline is not something to be afraid of:

1. When we will reach round numbers like $4k, $5k, $6k - we will always see some decline - it is standard market behaviour.
Price just reached another psychological barrier and some people will sell off their coins to make a profit.

2. Temporary crashes will create only a better entry point for new blood. New investors will be able to buy BTC at a lower price.

3. We reached certain point - so people will know that this ATH is more than possible next time, so they will wait patiently without panicking next time we will reach 5k

4. Price crash was linked to China ICO ban, and this won't affect bitcoin directly - it could even strengthen BTC position in the long run.
125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of 1 Satoshi rise to $1? on: September 07, 2017, 10:02:07 PM
In my opinion, Bitcoin Value  it will still go up. But 1 sat = 1 USD is not gonna happen ever. Because then 1 BTC would be worth 100 million dollars (so ridiculous).
If you say 1 sat = 0.01 USD <=> 1 BTC = 1 million USD, i will accepted. However, we still have to wait a few years.
At this moment it is totally ridiculous thought, I agree, and at the same time Bitcoin proved me wrong many times, and I will never say never to any - even the most fantastic price prediction.
Many great minds and personalities predicted that bitcoin might be worth between $100,000 to $2 million in the next 5 years.
I know this is nothing close to 1 Satoshi = 1 Dollar, but we gotta remember that bitcoin will go higher and dollar's value and purchasing power will only decline over time.
Maybe in the next 50 years our children will be alive to see this crazy scenario come true.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: September 07, 2017, 09:57:52 PM
Let's face the harsh truth - TV as a medium is in decline. Soon every TV-like activity shall move to the internet.
Just look at Netflix, HBO GO and other platforms conquering cyberspace. We are not living in mid 90. anymore, the internet is the medium of choice for the people.
We don't need TV commercials or advertisement to push Bitcoin popularity higher. I mean, have you ever seen the commercial about 'the internet' (as the network)?
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will China's decision affect the market in your opinion? on: September 05, 2017, 08:15:55 PM
Nothing will happen. Bitcoin is not forbidden in China as I understood. And look at the price of Bitcoin. Its up again.
This.

Bitcoin is still safe and Chinese goverment won't ban it. They know that Chinese miners are the leading force that gives China an edge in the cryptocurrency world.
ICO ban is actually something I was expecting, panic on the market is only temporary and with no more ICO chinese investors will focus on existing coins, bitcoin included.
This will only strengthen the position of bitcoin in the long run. I am not worried at all. We have a bright have future ahead gentlemen.

128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you even gamble? on: September 04, 2017, 12:59:22 PM
I gamble solely because I want to beat the house and make profit. There are a lot of reasons that others have about gambling but I think hunk everyone apart from those reasons also wish to make some profits.
You know that this is mathematically impossible in the long run, right? Casinos are built on solid ground - gamblers are always at disadvantage playing.
The more you will play the more chances you will have to lose your money. The best option for those who want to beat the house is to win once and then never come back.
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you care? on: September 04, 2017, 12:52:01 PM
Op, imagine this situation - you are a rich person with beautiful wife or girlfriend, your woman is cheating on you with another man because you are loaded and she is after your money.
So tell me would you like to be cheated on by your wife or girlfiend and live in a lie that she is truly faithful and love you or find out the truth, ditch the bitch and move on to find some better girl?
It is the same with the casinos, I hate being lied to or be a victim of someone's else evil schemes. This matters for me.
130  Economy / Gambling / Re: easy online lottery, realistic payout and realistic ammounts. try it out yourself on: September 04, 2017, 12:46:26 PM
poor attemt`? onion looks outside golden,,,but inside?
ammounts are very realistic.
instructions?, if you use your common sense u can undestood its easy, and instant!!
facebook name coz we would like to know who is the winner! ,i guess others like to know too,if they have desire to find out who will be the winner.
And for those who never use facebook? You realize that crypto gambling does not go hand-in-hand with sharing your faecebook profile.
Furthermore how exactly this lottery works? I am not even gonna start that this is not provably fair, but this whole process of picking a winner is totally unclear.
Additionally, I don't want to be mean but the layout of this site, free domain - basically everything is screaming that this might be not exactly the most realiable gambling service.
131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 7000 HOT SEPTEMBER on: September 03, 2017, 12:26:03 PM
$2 million is more than enough to lead a comfortable retired life.
Eh? in my country this value only serves to buy a comfortable home, but the person will not have a comfortable life for one year with 2 million dollars.

Do not need to rush to reach $6800 or more than $7000, most countries will legalize bitcoin in the future and many companies will accept bitcoin as a means of payment.
Of course, if you are living in developer 1st world country the $2 is not something that amazing to have, certainly not a fortune to dream about at night.
But $2kk is not a small amount either, I bet that if you will invest your hypothetical $2 million in Bitcoin now, then if the near future you will double, triple or quadruple your investment.
Anyway - on one hand, I would like for bitcoin to grow really fast and high, but at the same time, I am aware that there is a high chance of bubble exploding, and I am a bit scared of rapid growth.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Cryptocurrency world on: September 03, 2017, 12:11:50 PM
$170 billion is already invested in crypto space now. It will only increase in 2018 an we see  ATHs for lot of altcoins.
Having tons of new coins is only confusing and unneeded situation, so far in crypto-world, we have a model of predatory capitalism where everyone can offer their own product.
While I like the free market and total lack of constraints at the same time I would like to see some kind of regulation put into place to protect investors/consumers.
With the amount of money invested into crypto grows I expect that sooner or later US Securities and Exchange Commission or similar regulatory authority will take a closer look at what is going on.
133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin: $100K in 2021? on: September 02, 2017, 12:49:45 PM
That's reality if government interfere it will surely another issue that we need to tackle here as we really enjoying how bitcoin keeps rising every now and then, people will enjoy especially those new ones who only starting this venture they will got a chance to take advantage let's just hope for the best that this speculations will come to a reality and won't be stop by any means.
Trust me, so far bitcoin is not that great of a deal for Government but they are watching it closely. Whole cryptocurrency sector is grey area for people who don't like taxation.
Sooner or later government will think of something that will change that state - some kind of regulation - not only bitcoin but for every single crypto will be put in place.
And then I have no idea how this new law will reflect on the price of BTC, it won't be so amazing when you will have to pay tax everytime you trade BTC.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This ICO looks Promising . on: September 02, 2017, 12:31:17 PM
So, there is this new company called UTrust that is "offering" to solve the problem of businesses not accepting Cryptocurrency as a form of payment due to price volatility.
The company plans to do this by automatically converting Cryptocurrencies to Fiat immediately they are received as payment.
We have Bitcoin payment processors (BitPay, BitBay) and they do exactly this kind of on the fly crypto=>fiat exchange, so it's not a new concept at all.
They won't fix 'volatility' they merely suppressed it with the instantaneous exchange. I don't think that ICO will be that successful while trying to rehash this old concept.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where is the actual value of Altcoins coming from? on: September 02, 2017, 12:04:07 PM
Most altcoins are constructed on the premise of being something unique, needed, revolutionary and better than every existing altcoin - and most of them are totally wrong about it.
Significant number of altcoin have no real life usage and what makes them somewhat valuable is people faith that someday altcoin X might be used by company Y etc.
Yet most of them are traded on one exchanges and price is shaped by news and rumours about the coin.
136  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: September 02, 2017, 11:16:55 AM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin

NO sir, a big NO. You must have a stable job as well sir. We must not make Bitcoin as our primary means of income, that's not wise. What if someday Bitcoin will experience failure? What will be your back-up money? Those are the reasons why we need to find a stable job in real world.
I can understand the motives of the people who want to switch to bitcoin powered economy completely and leave their day job.
So far I cannot think of a situation where bitcoin will ultimately fail and the price will decline to oblivion, but it is still not stable life nonetheless.
To be frank I am wondering if I would earn more money if I focus on bitcoin completely and leave my job. I being to assume that I Bitcoin might be a better choice in the end.
If you have the guts and backup plan then you should follow your dreams. If you want to be covered then don't quit your job.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why compare BTC to USD? on: September 02, 2017, 10:50:45 AM
When people talk about Bitcoin price, they usually refer to its price expressed in dollars. I really don't understand why...
Because US Dollar is so far the most popular currency in the world. Despite fact that economy of US is not that amazing like it used to be in the past, it is still the major power.

US Dollar is going down in price, US economy is collapsing. There are many other countries which has more Bitcoin users, like Russia, China, Japan, Philippines and the whole Eurozone. Even ICOs are forbidden in the USA.
Every fiat currency purchasing power is going down, it is a natural process and it is called inflation.  I wouldn't say that US economy is collapsing, it becomes a bit stagnant but it is still a power house.
There are many other countries which has more Bitcoin users, like Russia, China, Japan, Philippines and the whole Eurozone.
There could be many other more appropriate currencies like EUR, CNY or RUB...
I am afraid that Rubles or CNY is not something we could use, Ruble never was considered global currency, same with Yuan and Yen.
Euro might be a better pick but there are troubles in EU too which might arise in the future i.e. migrant crisis.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto identified by NSA,? on: September 01, 2017, 09:37:19 PM
At this point, in time it doesn't matter who Satoshi Nakamoto was.
Bitcoin is living its own life and Satoshi disappearance showed us that even without main leader behind the coin it can still thrive just fine.
NSA or other government agencies probably know the full answer to the question behind bitcoin inception, but this stylometry thing? I am not buying it.
139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Segwit helping BTC on: August 30, 2017, 06:04:38 PM
Litecoin has gone to $64 all the way from $5. Segwit helped it happen. Will things like support for lightning network significantly assist Bitcoin's price?
You are right with SegWit for Litecoin - it boosted its price and rating of Litecoin - and LTC doesn't even need scaling upgrade nor SegWit that much.
Secondly, we don't have Lightning Network implemented and we won't have for a very long time.
Additionally, SegWit is not working properly without every device, wallets and basically everything which is not blockchain itself supporting it. It is placebo effect right now.
140  Economy / Speculation / Re: What price do you think bitcoin will reach by 2020? on: August 30, 2017, 05:49:27 PM
What price do you think bitcoin will reach by 2020?
I personally think that bitcoin can reach $100.000 by 2020 but i think it's never going to go to $1.000.000!

I don't believe bitcoin can sustain the upward slope in value. The price will be much lower in 2020 then it is today because there will be much more efficient technologies that will dilute its value.
It is not about technology as much as about economic status of bitcoin - which was the first and original cryptocurrency.
The better tech cannot kill bitcoin so easily, we have dozens if not hundreds of coins which have presumably better code already.
So tell me why every new coin with better code is not automatically king of the hill of cryptocurrency?
