121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][SBC] StableCoin ¦¦ A new breed of cryptocurrency ¦¦ v1.2 RELEASED on: June 27, 2013, 12:48:17 PM
I was interested until i read about the 0.5% premine, it doesn't seem much, but it is.

You can't make up silly services to cover up for your get-rich-quick scheme. The anonymity for bitcoin (and the like) will not be achieved by centralized services like you claim to want to provide, but rather on protocol level or by a layer built on top of it. From a legal perspective this ain't gonna work either, you'll be forced by regulation to keep track of every coin going in and out of your service and you'll be required to have people verify their identity. Not from the start, but if it ever gains traction, this will happen.
Even if you were honestly going to provide this service, you still singlehandedly possess a huge portion of all coins, and you can call yourself rich soon enough if people are dumb enough to buy into this, which a lot probably are. As we have seen many times already with many other coins and scams.

I get what you are saying, however, you are going on the presumption that Artos IS scamming everyone.  If he is, then I am sure he made 40-50 BTC off of his endeavors...but if he isn't, then everything you have said is borderline libel.  "you can call yourself rich soon enough if people are dumb enough to buy into this"

The 1 thing that concerns me.  If I was a developer for a new coin, I would think I would devout some time each day (Especially during launch and when hitting the exchange), but I looked back, and don't notice a single post from Arthos since SBC hit an exchange.  Even after there have been reports that someone is attempting to steal the 1.5 mil premined coins for the mixing service, he still hasn't said anything.  I really hope it is because he is slaving away on his computer getting the Mixing service and Store set up.  But still a really bad time to not be posting anything.

Edit:  Opps I managed to find a post of his, but still not enough to give the people hope of the future of his coin.

+1

This coin needs some enthusiasm and I don't see it arising by itself.  Price is dropping.  Hashrate is not great.

The hashrate jumps anytime it is listed among the top 3 on coinchoose.  It doesn't stay long as the difficulty to price never changes...the difficulty goes up...the price stays the same.  That HOPEFULLY will change if Artos gets the store going.

if your pre-mining a decent chunk, for the purposes of a mixing service, don't you build that first, or already have it built at launch?

Actually "pre-mining" was done with the genesis block...so how would you have it ready "at launch"?  Not meaning to be picky but actually think before you type.

Coding a store and coding for a mixing service takes time and money.  Who knows how much funding the dev had before he launched.  I am sure some of the coins that were sold on the first day of Cryptsy were the dev's to assist in the funding for coding.  I am fine with that.

Blockexplorer is now dead - http://coinminer.net:2750/chain/StableCoin

That is the reason SBC is not on CoinChoose.  CRAP!!!

I setup a new block explorer here : http://sbc.isa-geek.com

I barely got it up running.

Can somebody test it please ?

Looks good SilverWolf.  Going to do a few searches on it now...but it appears rock solid.

Hope you don't mind, I emailed Sal your link to get it back on CoinChoose.  CoinChoose is our greatest ally in getting this coin noticed.

Awesome!

He just pm'd me and said it should be back up shortly.

That was quick Smiley On top of the list now Smiley @236%

THAT should get the numbers going again.

Ok, which one of you placed the 23 btc buy order?
me  Cheesy.
stablecoin has potential, and I'm trying to support it's growth.

Good job.  This truly does if Artos gets the mixing service going and the store up.

Trying to purchase some but it takes FOREVER for BTC to get into your account.  .000039 to me is a GOOD buying price

Yeah I know the feeling, i've tried other coins but they all seem to take about equally as long.

Up to .00004950 for buys with a bit of support at .000049 and sells are at .0005695. Looks like we might make it to .00006 and beyond. Things are shaping up Cheesy

I put the purchase order for 13500 at .000049  Figured it doesn't cost that much in an attempt to keep the coin afloat.

Re-read everything in the CoinChoose thread.  If the blockexplorer goes down it is removed automatically.  I also messaged Sal.

we need to figure out why we've been removed from coinchoose.

100% agree.

SBC entire network is down to 26.13MH/s.  Are pools down or is this the end of SBC?
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][SBC] StableCoin ¦¦ A new breed of cryptocurrency ¦¦ v1.2 RELEASED on: June 23, 2013, 04:56:09 PM
If Artos truly is creating a store with Amazon and Steam integration...demand WILL be there.

Did coinchoose dump Stablecoin?  I don't see it on there anymore

It might not be bad compared to Bitcoin profitability.  What is bad though is that the Hash rate was approx. 130 MHash/s - 95 MHash/s.  Since it hit the market I am only showing about 55 MHash/s.  That spells trouble.

Now listed on CoinChoose, currently 2nd most profitable coin to mine Smiley

That will bring the hash rate up I imagine.

Hashrate has actually gone down again... 44MH/s over entire network.  Meaning now that it is on CoinChoose though...people will hop back and forth to it and away from it.  Think while difficulty is EXTREMELY low, I will continue to mine.  1kh/s brings more than 1SBC a day right now.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][SBC] StableCoin ¦¦ A new breed of cryptocurrency ¦¦ v1.2 RELEASED on: June 22, 2013, 05:12:10 PM
Hashrate has dropped HORRIBLY since it hit the market.

Right now it is around 1kh/s per 1 SBC per day.

People forgetting about Stablecoin?  Too many alternative coins out there.

.....
If 1 SBC was worth 0.01 BTC then I'd have just mined 120 BTC in a week... Be realistic guys!!

......

I love this. Oh Yeah, waiting for SBC trading .... cryptsy is good

It is on the list to be added

YES!!!  Now we see if our trust in the Dev is valid.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][SBC] StableCoin ¦¦ A new breed of cryptocurrency ¦¦ v1.2 RELEASED on: June 18, 2013, 05:27:11 PM
I agree with the price of .001 as a start but mining needs to be higher.  Coins are only owned by such a few people... Needs more diversity.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] StableCoin Shop - Amazon.com and Steam Integration on: June 17, 2013, 01:09:58 AM
I am happy to see a shop made for it.  Just like other stores that have opened...hopefully 3-5 of these alts survive and can be used in stores such as the one Artos and crew are creating.
