really, please our most active leaders to comment urgently on wallet situation

as to my new wallet ( which had obviously cost me some BTC value and a lot of my own research work time ) we are testing already second day and it is staking well.

now starting to send this wallet to these members of community which PM me - for more testing on more wallets.

just in case there would be no action from our most active leaders, would try to send to Cryptsy myself for testing within some days or hours

Let me know if how the testing is going for the wallet so that the wallet can be sent to the blockchain explorer and also be updated on the website.

explorer most likely uses self compiled no-GUI bitcoind - type linux version. not sure if could use windows
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: April 14, 2015, 10:59:44 AM
Thank you for new windows wallet.
Staking OK.
Number of blocks and transactions in wallet are not in accordance to AsiaCoin Blockchain Explorer.

Same problem.Explorer disregards nothing.

on my wallet have checked manually count of transactions listed under wallet > transactions is correctly listed on wallet > overview
most likely there is error on explorer side

actually i checked explorer also has some problems with nodes . there are some nodes always on my wallet which are never shown on any day on explorer

a detail which might explain difference : explorer does not count orphan blocks whereas wallet count orphans as transactions

another thing which explorer does wrong on my wallet page : totally wrong count of ''sent'' transactions

asiacoin wallet mandatory update

there was a single line code error of Asiacoin

Maestro1 found the bug https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=595999.msg10978155#msg10978155

We managed to assembly this source code

added features requested earlier by community

-support for 38 languages

-coin control

main developer has Legendary status on bitcointalk, due to involvement with several other coins his identity could be disclosed only on request

new source code including Maestro1 patch : https://github.com/AsiaCoin/AsiaCoinFix

new assembled and tested windows wallet : http://sourceforge.net/projects/asiacoin/files/11.04.2015/

although - as we see on this network - some users were able to repair and recompile wallet themselves

VERSION 2.0.0 WITHOUT PATCH WOULD NOT WORK ANYMORE

WE REQUEST EVERY MEMBER OF OUR COMMUNITY TO DOWNLOAD AND TEST NEW WALLET AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

please post your experiences with new wallet and feature requests

just in case someone needs linux wallet - leave info, we try to compile it faster

we got preliminary word from Cryptsy that wallet is OK
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: April 10, 2015, 10:53:58 PM
Already available new fixed windows wallet?

wallet now live testing

staking is ok

most likely need little more testing until release

also trying to add more languages into new wallet

not confirmed now if possible

will update as soon as finished

actually could release my wallet for testing for members of our community

due to serious situation, only for this thread posters lets say 2-3 posts to this thread

send to dropbox or any other service

on cryptsy around 35 wallets in maintenance now, maybe Asiacoin wallet within hours would be on maintenance who knows

please send me PM

allow several hours as we updating now for second version with added support of 38 languages

should be ready within around 20 hours

now testing final version with features

this is exactly identical wallet as used before April, 03 - built by Micryon with patch from Maestro1 with added important features requested earlier in this thread

- 38 languages

-coin control in the wallet

-support for bootstrap for fast syncing

after testing will release of course as Open Source

now will send final version to members of community who PM me

I fixed the source code: https://github.com/Maestro7/AsiaCoinFix

OP not updated yet. I don't have the right hardware to build the windows binaries right now. That should wait (or someone else may be kind enough to build the windows binaries from the above source?).

thanks  for fix

have assembled new wallet with your fix

will test staking in some hours

does such staking will be legit or there is a risk of fork?

actually this new wallet shows one positive on antivirus http://virusscan.jotti.org/ and http://virscan.org/

i really do not know if can submit such a wallet for general use?

but hope private use will create no fork ?

in the past months it was shown some users were assembling own wallets from source with version numbers 2.0.1 and version ''zero'' and use of these privately assembled wallets
did not make any forks ?

I think you should make a giveaway or something to promote this coin. It can't be on a 10th page

Nice idea... What do you think people?
Some sort of promotion definitely sounds good. A tipbot will be great too.

strange happenings on AC blockchain
wallet crash ?
some kind of blockchain attack ?
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ac/ stuck at 525599 since for over 9 hours
wallet shows as out of sync but having connections

actually on this page https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ there are more coins with blockchain stuck somewhere
MaryJaneCoin   319852   8 days 8 hours
Noocoin           122142   14 hours 57 minutes
LitecoinDark   289659   4 days 8 hours
DarkShibe           194273   26 days 14 hours
Pesa                   120749   15 days 19 hours

what does it mean?
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: February 24, 2015, 03:56:37 PM
i am for instance one of the guys who lost OMC on allcrypt due to a 51% attack.
now chasing the devs / allcrypt to get my investment back.

no fun if this happens.

often enough smaller alts kill themselves quickly or get kicked out from the exchanges if people finished dumping.

how safe is AC to prevent that ?

agree

very good question

BTW - does (bad) experience with OMC suggests any clues - something could be done to secure AC blockchain? anything feasible?
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: February 24, 2015, 02:01:30 PM
difficulty now 2.20

usually for a long time between 0.05 to 0.2

is it an attack ?

update 2339 GMT now difficulty 2,50

update 0011 gmt diff 3.53 WTF?
Higher difficulty doesn't mean AC network is under attack. You might want to take a chill pill.

thanks for info

then - what would constitute an attack ?

when wrote this post about difficulty shooting up  to 3.0 considered this:
1.it was never seen this high before
2.lately: strange wallets from explorer : protocol number ''zero'' wallets and ''2.0.1'' wallets occurring and no word on these versions on this page
2.for what reason someone should build new AC wallet (to show wallet versions of ''zero'' and ''2.0.1'') and keep it secret?
3.most obvious explanation : some unclear danger ahead
Being open source, anyone can compile an AC wallet version themselves with a protocol number and version number that they want. As mentioned by Maestro1, the blockchain only accept stakes that follow the same rules as everyone else's. Any developer interested in AsiaCoin can tinker and compile the wallet. I don't find it illogical given that AsiaCoin's source code is freely available. At the moment, I am looking at a sub-1 difficulty.

I am not sure what is the 'unclear danger ahead' that you are implying.

unclear danger ? several items of fuzzy reasoning as for example:
1.major ''hacker'' attacks on exchanges happened last 2 to 3 months
   that means:
-vultures (hackers) are circling above altcoins market
-vultures have fresh capital to crash the markets or pay for hacker software
2.last weeks there were quite strong pumps on many altcoins
-astonishingly such major moves soon after these major exchanges hacked and fresh capital came for ''hackers''
3.there was a thread on bitcointalk this year : someone boasted he has killed some small altcoin blockchain and he promised he would be ''serial killer of altcoins''.
Did not follow that thread ( due lack of time ) - what has happened later in that thread?
4.protocol number ''zero'' showing on AC explorer
-possiblility that someone hacked this wallet?
5.as protocol ''2.0.1'' was professionally explained by Maestro1 , nobody ever explained what is ''zero'' protocol
 - actually - after some discussion on this page, protocols '2.0.1' disapperared from explorer today. accident or something ?
same for ,zero, protocol - today is not shown
one actually could start guessing if there is a correlation of ''zero'' and ''2.0.1'' protocols shown and higher difficulty on our blockchain ?
and if there is such an correlation - does it mean anything?
during last rise of difficulty till 3.01 - on the explorer it always was shown 5 to 7 wallets with ''2.0.1'' protocol and roughly two wallets with ,,zero,, protocol
6.if a hacker would like to kill a small coin blockchain- he would possibly hit smaller coin where is not enough attention
-as for AC : nobody notices as difficulty unexplainably rises from usual 0.09 ( as today ) till 3.01 ??
7.there always is theoretical possibility that promoters of major altcoins or even bitcoin would like to kill some altcoins from time to time.
do not know if AC could be perceived as threat by anyone from bigger coins now.
Actually this was a business Mintpal was in all the time : it was proverbial at that time : when some altcoin started trading on Mintpal it was soon to be killed
Mintpal - as some serious altcoin traders claimed - was generating up to 90% of turnover with army of bots - all with intention to kill most of coins and pump some chosen coins.

taking all this together - see some possible troubles?

explorer https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ac/#!extraction
again few strange wallets

wallets protocol 2.0.1   - now single IP ( also a node for Hyperstake and some other coins )
wallets protocol ,,zero'' - this is single IP in China 221.232.159.150 and for sure it is not a exchange

my question :
1. if someone modifies 2.0.0 wallet to such extent it shows 2.0.1 protocol or ''zero'' protocol would it be considered legit ?
2. for what reason he does such - possibly - hard work ? where is a profit ? could such a wallet stake much faster ?
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: February 02, 2015, 01:59:35 PM
Dogecoin : transfer takes roughly 1 hour ,
cost of transfer (as far as known) - 1 DOGE
DOGE is quite widely used for transfers

DOGE already had significant crashes and forks

Asiacoin : transfer time roughly 20 seconds
cost of transfer : 0.01 AC (roughly 50 times cheaper)

AC never had a fork (this present wallet)
AC so much better?
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: January 26, 2015, 06:18:05 AM
some POS coins and annual POS return
HYP HyperStake 750% PoS
HBN (100%)
CAP(200%)
TEK(500%)
we must look how these coins prosper and/or survive at such high stake rates
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: January 18, 2015, 12:32:41 PM
hi guys . Is it true that AC is fastest altcoin available?
Recently tested direct transfer within two AC wallets.
Receiving wallet has shown AC as arrived after around 3 to 4 seconds
and has shown as confirmed after around 20-25 seconds.
Does anybody know how many seconds/minutes takes to transfer other altcoins ?
I know only bitcoin - it takes roughly one hour to confirm ( so much worse that Asiacoin )
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest on: January 16, 2015, 02:31:45 AM
could someone explain staking techniques : does this need a lot of CPU power ?

would be staking much better and faster on fast desktop or we could stake as well
on a netbooks with computing power of 10 % that of desktop ?

GPU mining popular year ago or ASIC mining now - both involve very big
computing powers for hashing

anybody has tested staking both on fast and slow computers ?

do not think 1000 CNY could be broken again downwards short to medium term
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AC] AsiaCoin | Pure PoS | 100% Interest | Mandatory wallet update NOW! on: January 10, 2015, 01:39:16 PM
thanks for your comments
coin swap/denomination could be very powerful
but now our wallet is surprisingly stable
many coins have problems with wallets crashing or forking and so on
changing into some new untested wallet we should really do only ( and very quickly ) if this wallet has real problems
for instance ( of course this is example within very strong old coin ) lastly seen comment of yasinlee from litecoin that litecoin does not need now any development
last time due to - probably - some good contacts of someone - asiacoin got this wallet seemingly for free from some good devs
could not happen next time
if we would try to use coin swap mostly for marketing - it should be obviously together with all other smaller development work which is missing since months as - for example -
-reinstate android ticker app which was closed after mintpal folded
-put some work and design and ideas into official channels twitter facebook reddit and so on
