Yes I think the La Liga title race is over and 99% belongs to Barcelona. However, in my opinion, some of the results of the match did not have a major effect on El Barca's position at the top of the standings. With a large enough point difference with its competitors, it certainly makes the remaining matches of the season no longer interesting to enjoy.
For this season Barcelona will be La Liga champions, but I really hope Real Madrid is obliged to win the Copa del Rey title. I certainly really hope these two teams meet again in the Spanish Super Cup.

Well, i don't think Real Madrid are going to control the game against Manchester City, in last season's SF when the both sides squared off, City controlled the game for the both legs, and still did not win. I don't think any football side can control the game against Manchester City, you just have to come up with a different game plan, and last season Real Madrid chose to hit City on the counter attack, which they were successful at. Having said that, i don't expect Real Madrid go seek complete dominance against City, they will be patient and wait for their time on the counter attack, but i think it is City that would progress to the final this time around, they definitely must have learnt their lessons from last season and i am pretty sure they'd not allow it to repeat again this time around. It is not possible for Real Madrid to control and donate the game against Manchester City, but what exactly do we mean by the term Control? Real Madrid is not a team that plays on a lot of possession. That is not their way of playing and they are not at their best at it. They will let City play far forward and will watch for small individual mistakes and then strike on the counter. It is often said of Real Madrid that they can only counter, but of course they can do much more than just counter. The counter part has been elevated by art by Real Madrid and last year things went wrong for City in a completely different way. Both Madrid and Barcelona got easy wins but its already the end times right now and the league is almost over. I have to say, I still think that Real looks like the better team, and the fact that they are not leading the league right now is all due to the fact that they lost so many unexpected games, could have won that. Modric missing made some people worry about the game result but the reality is that we are seeing it not do that badly neither, they played so well and we all know Vini was already good, and rodrygo is getting better and better too and they are a very well balanced team. Some players are getting older so they will have to obviously replace them, but aside from that as it is I would say this Madrid team is better than Barcelona, they just had a bad season.

Karim Benzema is a phenomenal striker! In the month of April, he's managed to score three hat tricks - now that's what I call him a true goal machine. It's amazing how he keeps getting better and better with each and every day, his strikes are so clinical! After Ronaldo departure, Benzema has shockingly stepped up in an amazing fashion. He's really proven himself on the field and it's great to see him playing at such a high level. He is currently in sensationally good form. He should get a title this season, or two. He will definitely win the Copa Del Rey, but a title just for him would be great. Lewandowski has scored a goal at the moment, so he is 2 goals ahead again. On 6 May, Real can win the Copa Del Rey, but 3 days later there is also an important match: Real at home against Manchester City in the Champions League. The remaining games in La Liga are no highlights. He is playing very well and I think he might even overtake Lewandowski in the La Liga goal scorer list for this season. This would be a farce for Lewandowski, but it also shows that Lewandowski has had his best days already. Playing for Barcelona and being at 19 goals after 32 games isn't quite as strong as I thought he would be. Barcelona's defense is so strong and now they lack this deadly offender. He is doing alright, but keep in mind that Benzema was even injured for quite some time and I think missed several more games than Lewandowski and yet might finish the season with more goals than him. Even though they are facing strong opponents now, Man City will not let this season's big achievement target slip away. @Pandu Geddon they’re very close to winning the Premiere League title, but it’s not a guarantee that they’ll win because if their player’s let their guard down then there’s a big chance that they can lose the league title by a slim margin. Furthermore for their next two cups they need to defeat Manchester United, Read Madrid and one of the Milan club’s which is not an easy task hence I feel that there’s a big possibility of them breaking down under pressure and possibly losing out on these competitions. Manchester City have big chances of winning Premier league , the remaining games is not what will be hard for them to win. At this point of time Manchester City have this winning mentality, winning is now a tradition for them, they can be able to win most of the game to win Premier league. |
