123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines Bitcoin Progress Status for 2015 on: October 22, 2015, 06:10:41 PM
Good to see that many Filipinos are now getting the vibe of using bitcoins. Smiley I know the staff of coins.ph personally and I must say that their exchange is the best there is in the Philippines so far. Also, I was wondering if a bitcoin ATM would be possible in the metros seeing that there is a large user base for bitcoins in Manila. That would probably heighten the interests of our peers. Smiley

Good to hear that mate. Yeah i use coins.ph regularly when converting my btc to fiat and i say their services are good. As far as ATM's i see on facebook several machines installed in Makati areas.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin impacts? on: October 22, 2015, 05:48:52 PM
Bitcoin. It's remarkable to the fact it allows you to send money to someone anywhere in the world, in real time, minimal fee, without any third party. So in terms of the transferability, it's revolutionary.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: October 22, 2015, 05:37:36 PM
Any form of gambling can be profitable short term and if you're any good at money management it's even possible to make a living at it BUT most people don't have the sort of self control required for that form of tight money management.

Centralized(Paypal) Vs. Decentralized(Bitcoin)
Any Paypal user, whether a buyer or a seller, will at some point run into issues with Paypal's centralized structure.  For instance, I am on my second Paypal account currently after my first account was frozen, and all attached cards and banks were banned from future Paypal use.  I had to create an entirely new bank account just to use Paypal due to arbitrary freezing of my first account.  Bitcoin, on the other hand, is decentralized and I am completely certain that nobody has the ability to limit my access to my Bitcoin wallet, or to move funds from my Bitcoin wallet.
Also Paypal charges nearly 3% for transactions between people while bitcoin transactions are almost 0%

129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines Bitcoin Progress Status for 2015 on: October 22, 2015, 03:18:50 PM
We now have bitcoin exchanges which offers several services including ways to transfer cash, pay bills, and load users cell phones, all using bitcoin. Also a number of merchants are accepting the currency as payment for goods. Bitcoin ATM machines are now available in some parts of the country so mainstream adoption is steadily rising.
If only majority of our overseas workers know how crypto works they could save a lot from remittance center fees.

131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: October 22, 2015, 02:57:59 PM
Here in Philippines bitcoin is steadily growing in momentum. As internet access is accessible to masses bitcoin moves up along with it. We now have bitcoin ATM'S in some parts of the country and many overseas workers are sending money through bitcoin as exchanges pops up. Merchants and some restaurants now accept bitcoin payments.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin better that fiat? on: October 22, 2015, 02:41:54 PM
Bitcoin's value is tied to fiat and still in early stages which needs mainstream adoption so they are equal at moment. Man can't wait till i can buy pizza with bitcoin in my place.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best sports betting sites on: October 22, 2015, 02:17:27 PM
My fave gambling sites

Cloudbet- interface is user friendly, better odds and live betting.

Nitrogen Sports- better odds, user friendly interface and wide sports varieties.

Directbet.EU- no need to create account, completely anonymous betting and payment is direct to your wallet plus they accept altcoins like dogie, ltc etc.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: October 22, 2015, 03:23:28 AM
Bitcoin is undeniably better than WU. Here in my country which has a sizeable population of overseas workers western union charges almost 12% from remittances while bitcoin is almost 0% in fees. But still many folks don't know how crypto works. Bitcoin still lacks mainstream adoption.
135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best Cloud mining Site? on: October 22, 2015, 03:09:02 AM
Cloudmining was never profitable. I have some small investments in different sites for almost two years now but never did i make money. High maintenance fees and mining difficulty eats up your payouts plus almost all cloudmining sites turned to scam later on. Just hold on to your coins Smiley

139  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: October 21, 2015, 04:59:41 PM
This is a very broad topic.. But bottomline is be frugal, only spend on things you really need and live below your means.
