121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks against cryptocurrency? on: June 05, 2024, 01:53:57 PM
As the first cryptocurrency, Bitcoin has also faced some criticism, especially from the centralized financial sector.

Centralized financial institutions may be unhappy with the concept of decentralization because it challenges their long-standing monopoly. They may worry about losing control over financial transactions and having difficulty profiting from a decentralized system. This is one of the reasons why they may express opposition to cryptocurrencies.

However, as time goes by and technology advances, we may see the centralized financial sector begin to accept and adopt blockchain technology. In fact, some banks and financial institutions have begun to explore the use of blockchain to improve their business processes and provide more efficient services. This shows that despite the existence of competition and opposing forces, innovation and change are inevitable.

In this competitive market, we expect to see a variety of different choices and perspectives, and to drive the development of the industry through transparent, open and equal competition. This will help improve the efficiency and reliability of the entire financial system and provide users with better choices and services.

I don't doubt you on this but I hope you're aware that the central banks are the government itself, the competition wasn't about the market but just that government don't want to see Bitcoin grows more than the central banks. They know if they make cryptocurrency become Centralized they might lose profit from the central banks, why because right now some countries their bank's are working Blockchains meanwhile the government have noticed that if Bitcoin and bank cooperation people will focus more on cryptocurrency cause of the profit bitcoin have in the market sectors, and they are also scard of fraud but what i believe is that they're trying to use the fraud aspect as an excuse to the society. Meanwhile bitcoin it reliable and trustworthy, legitimate in any ways. And if the government accepts cryptocurrency to operate with the banks then things will be more easier for Bitcoin mostly when it comes to convert your coins to fait money.
122  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Waiting they happen to pension money for Nigeria? on: June 05, 2024, 01:32:20 PM
First what's pension in Nigeria? The pension scheme in Nigeria Is a crucial social safety net that provides financial security and stability to millions of workers during their retirement years. But right now the government are not really doing as if the money belongs to the workers anymore, currently now the retirement plan in Nigeria it's what the leaders are using to support their selfs.

Some of the workers have waited for long no way. How long is pension paid after retirement in Nigeria? It provides a guaranteed periodic income (pension) to a retiree throughout his/her life after retirement. Under the CPS, annuity is guaranteed for ten years. If the retiree dies within ten years of retirement. The monthly annuilty/pension will be paid to his beneficiarries for the remaining years up to ten years.

But right now they aren't following the laws anymore because I've some people who have waited and right now they aren't alive anymore. Why? Because they've waited for the government to release their pension money, but no way cause they have no one to help them out there. Secondly how many years do you have to work to get pension in Nigeria? The 50 year/retirement rule is the general rules.

However there are exceptions provided if the person leaves employment before age 50 for medical reasons or in accordance with the terms and conditions if he/she employment which allow for partial lump sum removal in certain circumstances. In this terms it's better but but Nigeria are not working according to the laws anymore, besides nowadays the government itself are borrowing the pension money for them to settle some bills in Nigeria. Is it good that why?

Mean why the retirees are dieing in pains and hunger, our leaders are not trying. How's the pension calculated on in Nigeria? According to Nigeria pension commission, employee is expected to contribute 8% of the sum of his basic salary, housing allowance, and transport allowance. The employee however is required to contribute minimum of 10% of the same sum.

Even with 8% and the 10% of the retirees summation they won't still pardon them or help their life even if is their money, because most of them at this point all their hopes a and their life is on their retirement plan(pension). How much is the pension in Nigeria? The minimum contribution under the act is 18% of monthly emolument, (with a minimum contribution of 10% by the employer and 8% by the employee).

So waiting I dey try talk be say with all this and most of the people still dey cry out for help, i know of someone who's suffering and dieing just to get their pension money paid before they die. But the government are not even thinking of working towards that at the moment, but all this going on how do they want the citizens to cope. Somebody asked what's the major problem with pension in Nigeria?

For my opinion Nigeria have experience inconsistency in policies due to it's many challenges inception delay in payment of pension and gratituties to deserving retirees in Nigeria fueled by lack of accountability, poor leadership, embezzlement of pension fund. Inaccurate pensioners records. It's the initiative to explore the savings of Nigeria workers and senior citizens, who live off them in retirement, basically to actualise the governments funding plan could put the livelihood and survival of many.

And the government are even trying to make things difficult for the citizens, the government is also looking to draw from life insurance and other funds from the investment industry to the tune of #20 trillion. Is this pension money made for the government or for the workers in Nigeria because right now I don't really understand anymore, my people waiting una go talk about this issue?

this matter na small matter for them but them go do as if say na one big thing, you see one thing about the government them won chop everything way come out from the state. Can you imagine how long how some people done dey wait for their retirement plans some done wait no way them give up, I remember one woman for my community way she retired because she get plenty children she no get enough savings when she dey for work. But after her retirement she come dey hope for her retirement plan so that she fit start up small business for herself, meanwhile she no even know say her plan and the government plan no be the same thing. She tried her luck put effort no way but can you imagine your own money way you suffer for person go won share with you, them tell her if only she go agree to take half and leave the other half to them. Is it good? No, instead just as you said them they use the money to support their selves and that's bad to the workers. I don't really know if the government really exists anymore.

N/B: these post no any actual link as I been get am from my community WhatsApp group and thought it wise to bring it to the forum make we all see why the well being of the common man no concern the senate but rather na national anthem be their problem and do you agree that their salaries should be reconsidered?

one thing i know about is that, our so called leaders don't care about the citizens which is we. You can see the amount going in to their wallets but they haven't even think of paying pension money (retirement plan), how much or how many days e go take them to pay off the retirement plan e no go take them one day. But see what the senators are earning yearly of which the individuals are crying out just for their salary to be increased, meanwhile someone is their receiving what 10000 people can earn in yearly. Okay take a look all the profits that's also coming from the companies we have in this our Nigeria, then the companies it's to contribute to so many things. But even work for the citizens to work no way to prevent more poverty to the society no way, waiting the leaders them dey do for there nothing. So for me whoever goes there he/she is just fighting for he/she stomachs not for the citizens anymore, they don't know what others are facing some people are crying for the minimum wage. Nothing in this Nigeria is working for me.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks against cryptocurrency? on: June 05, 2024, 06:43:16 AM
Banks have been a place where rich people have tasted customers' money for many years and the existence of Bitcoin is a big threat to the continuity of their business because anyone, anytime and anywhere can send large amounts of money directly without any other party being involved. which is disturbing and this is the mission of creating Bitcoin by Satoshi.

If banks are smart then they have to cooperate with Bitcoin, not just go against it.

you know the banks are government so just refer it as the government. You're right if they're smart they have to cooperate with Bitcoin and with this they'll also have more customers and more profitable to them, but the government don't like them to cooperate together because they know if they do Bitcoin will take over the central banks. That's their fear so central banks are the government meanwhile cryptocurrency only needs to get Centralized that's what will need right now.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks against cryptocurrency? on: June 05, 2024, 06:33:55 AM
FIRST WHAT'S CRYPTO CURRENCY? A digital currency in which transaction are verified and records maintained by a decentralized system Using cryptography, rather then by a centralized authority. The crypto currency are not centralized authority, so banks don't allowed them. Which are characters
in 6 ways.

 (1) SO WHY BANKS ARE REALLY AGAINST CRYPTOCURRENCY? Cause the volatility of cryptocurrency markets are concerns over security and regulations. They've made many banks cautious about involvement in the crypto space. Some banks have even banned the use of cridit cards for purchasing cryptocurrency, reflecting their hesistancy to embrace the emerging technology full. If only the cryptocurrency are ready to make a good terms with the banks.

(2) AND WHY DOES CRYPTO CURRENCY DISRUPT BANKING AS WELL? First from the Centralized to Decentralized finance. The cryptocurrency operates on Blockchains, distributed ledger that records transactions across a vest network of computer. This erases the need for central authorities , creating a more open and transparent financial system. And this also causes the risks for banks.

(3) CRYPTOCURRENCY RISKS FOR BANKS?  Risk of fraud and scams among crypto-asset sector participants. Legal uncertainties related to custody practice, redemption, and ownership rights, some of which are currently the subject of legal processes and proceedings. And this lead to why they aren't accepted in banks.

(4) WHY IS CRYPTO NOT ACCEPTED IN BANKS? The main reason banks do not accepted Bitcoins as legal tender, is because they aren't backed by a central authority. Such as a government or central bank, unlike traditional currencies, Bitcoin is not regulated or guaranteed by any third party. And this will also make the banks to get scared of linking up with crypto currency.

(5) THE REASON WHY BANKS ARE SCARED OF BITCOIN? Perhaps the most existential threat Bitcoin poses to banks, is because the potential to render traditional banking systems obsolete. As more Individuals and businesses adopt Bitcoin and the cryptocurrencies for their financial transactions, the need for traditional banking services could diminish. And it gonna affect the banks increases accessibility.

(6) HOW DOES CRYPTOCURRENCY AFFECT THE BANKS?  In my own opinion, cryptocurrency have had a profound impact on traditional banking. By challenging the status quo and disrupting long-est abolish systems, their decentralized nature, cost advantages, and increased accessibility have implications for both individuals and financial institutions.

In December 2022, the Basel committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) announced a new standard for banks which sets a limit of 2% on crypto reserves, defines how to classify cryptocurrencies and makes provision to minimize the risks associated with cryptocurrency exposure.

Click on the link to no know.

So what I'm ultimately getting out here, is that crypto currency can't go in line with banks. What are your thoughts towards this?

the banks are not the one against cryptocurrency it's the government, if the government can regulate crypto currency in our country than that means cryptocurrency will be centralized and once cryptocurrency is centralized. Then they can go inline together and work together as one, the government feels that crypto currency are not reliable or they're scared of fraud meanwhile crypto currency are legit. The banks don't have any issues working with Bitcoin but we all know that the banks are government, so definitely the  government have seen that if Bitcoin and the central banks works together their profile won't be much anymore. And things will be more easier for cryptocurrency in the global cause it'll be easily to convert our coins to fait money, so the government have think about all this things that's why they don't won't Bitcoin to be centralized. And they've noticed the rate of people who into Bitcoin are much and if they get to regulate crypto currency and making it Centralized that means, Bitcoin will take over the central banks.
126  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: What is this new penalty for drugs trafficking in Nigeria? on: June 05, 2024, 06:14:20 AM
Nigeria's Senate has approved a bill that proposes death penalty for persons found guilty of trading or consuming hard drugs and narcotics. In Nigeria, death penalty is now the maximum sentence for the offence, replacing life imprisonment.

https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/nigerias-senate-proposes-death-penalty-drug-trafficking-2024-05-09/&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwj71KH82IiGAxWGh_0HHd4VBYMQFnoECAkQAg&usg=AOvVaw2YGmXkc97XU_pXBOYaq3iQ

For me I don't think this is our major problem now, cause their is many things Nigeria needs to look after not going to drugs trafficking at the moment. Look at the petroleum industrials and the cost of things now, that we're battling that government haven't even think of making things easier for the citizens. It's not also bad for this but at the moment this not what we want to hear now, cause na who eat belle full na fit buy drugs take. So my people how Una see this matter way the Senate approved?

for me this new penalty set for drugs traffickers it's not the major problem that Nigeria seek right now, but in the other hands for the help of the younger ones now. Trying to make drugs as their hobby and most of them have already got addicted to it, so it'll help them but for the government setting it for dead penalty it's not nice cause if so then so many people will die. a friend of mine saw this and said their kids are also into it so it'll effect them as well, he also suggests that maybe the prisons is feed up so no space for them to send more people their. But that's not the major issues why the government set the new penalty for drugs, if you take a look around states in our country now most youth's have gone insane. And the rate of the drugs traffickers are getting much, why? Because no work provided from the government so many decided to go into drugs dealing. So what I'm saying is that the dead penalty set isn't good we are all one blood, why not go and serve and come back. Or either make another prisons for the drugs traffickers.
127  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Senate seeks cryptocurrency regulation. on: June 05, 2024, 05:52:06 AM
NIGERIA GOVERNMENT HAVE SEEN THE FORCE COMING FROM CRYPTO THEY HAVE NO CHOICE THAN FOR THEM TO COPERATE.

The Senate Committee on Capital Markets on Monday called for the regulation of cryptocurrency to ensure some level of accountability and protection of investor’s funds.
The Chairman of the Committee, Sen. Osita Izunaso, said this when he briefed newsmen in Abuja after the committee screened Dr. Emomotimi Agama, the newly appointed Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and three executive commissioners behind closed door.
“The issue of cryptocurrency must be regulated because Nigerians are trading in crypto.
“Since Nigerians are trading in crypto, why are we not regulating it? Where is the money going if we don’t regulate activities in the crypto market?
“You can’t stop them from trading in the crypto market. So because we can’t stop them, you have to regulate it,” he said.
He also said that investing in the stock exchange and capital market would help to boost Nigeria’s economy.
Izunaso added that “President Bola Tinubu has told Nigerians that he is looking for a N1 trillion economy. That can only be done through the stock exchange, through the capital market.

https://punchng.com/senate-seeks-cryptocurrency-regulation/

what I usually say is that no matter how the government tries to fight with cryptocurrency they won't get to them. Because justice belongs to Bitcoin, and about the regulating if you check very well most of the top leaders today are trading with cryptocurrency. And most of the business operates with cryptocurrency now in this Nigeria, and the government are also benefiting from it so it's right time for the government to open their eyes. If you see very well the youth's now are not longer waiting for the government to provide work for them, now the cryptocurrency are helping both the youth's and the top business men in this Nigeria. So it's right time the government regulate cryptocurrency and make it Centralized, so that the banks can also work with them that's what we need now. Our senete have seen the effort towards cryptocurrency that's to show to our president that cryptocurrency is valuable in our country.

129  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: The underrating of Local made products. on: June 04, 2024, 09:40:48 PM
Nigerians are talented and gifted with skills in both entrepreneurships and productions but at times we hinders our credibilities of global recognitions in a way that we don't feel proud of our produces as local mades.

You can imagine for example Aba and Onitsha where that are popularly know for industrial and international market places could produce some quality materials and items as a copyright or imitating of an existed materials but instead these our local producers to name it after their own products, they tag it to be the same products names where they copied it from.
This can actually be default of the laws as impersonation but to be frank, we can actually produce a unique one differed from the existed ones. Lot of creative Nigerians do really have those potential skills to produce quality products which they can actually be tagged to say it is makes in Nigeria Aba, Onitsha Nigeria or elsewhere within our local regions.

Or do I say they are trying to get us deceived that even after producing those products here their intentions is to sell it out as part of imported products so as to make more profits?
If so, I think they fails to understand that there'd be more values in firms if they're being commended and widely recognized and accepted on their endivoirs of productivities.
To some extends, we the fellow Nigerians are the cause why the the local producers disguises their products to be foreign made  because we belittles home made products nomatter how high quality it may be but chooses to recommends the foreign products.

I hope we get to learn and help ourselves too so we can actualize an affordable economy system.

we the Nigerian we believe our own products are not quality enough for use to us, but not knowing that our talents it's good we just believe that the foreign ones are much better then our own products. Sometimes it's not the fault of the leaders but we ourselves but the leaders are also making it seems difficult for the home made products, most of the companies needs the government to support them to elevate their business to the global. And the government only believes on the foreign products which is making it seems as if our products is not good, meanwhile their is no different between the foreign made products and the local products. Just take look at our own rice here can't you see how good it is, and we have different companies which are producing rice in our country. Just that some of the rice companies needs more quality and with the help of the government they can achieve it. So we Nigeria we are good at own products nothing can stop it.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: June 04, 2024, 07:10:32 PM
Gambling can affect self-esteem, relationship's, physical and mental health, work performance and social life. It can harm not only the person who gambles but also the family, friends, workplaces and communities.

So with all this I think if they put an restrictions on gambling it's not a bad idea at all, first why is gambling a problem?

Gambling can stimulate the brain's rewards system much like drugs or alcohol can, leading to addiction. If you have a problem with compulsive gambling, you may continually chase bets that lead to losses, use up savings and create debt.

You may hide your behavior and even turn to theft or fraud to support your addiction. So with my conclusion and my observation towards this gambling is really cousin harm to the life of those ones who are addicted to it most their families.

Secondly what are the social problem caused by gambling?
(1) Depression and suicide
(2) bankruptcy, family-break up
(3) domestic abuse
(4) assault, fraud
(5) theft, and even homeless
Addiction to gambling is link to a range of serious personal and social harm such as those things I mentioned. These effects can be devastating to the individual as well as their friends, family, workplaces and community.

This are the harms and with all this are the reasons why, they see people who gambles as a distraction towards the society and the most people who are into all this are the addicted ones. So how is gambling harmful to the society, ills associate with problem gamblers are widespread and often go beyond and addition to gambling.

People who gambles can be at risk of this following categories of harm.
(1) Financial harms
(2) Erosion of savings
(3) Filling for bankruptcy
(4) Relationship conflicts
(5) Neglect of relationship with significant other
(6) Neglect of relationship with children
(7) Extend family and friends
(Cool Social isolation
(9) Emotional or psychological distress

So I don't really blame the people who sees gambling as a bad thing to the society, meanwhile If the younger ones take of the steps of being addicted don't you think they'll experience all this as well. So gambling it's bad to the society nevertheless it's also helping in the other hands, to ones which are benefiting and earning from it.

What is the mindset of a gambler? On my opinion pathological gamblers play the cope with a life stresses. Near-misses and personal choice give some gamblers a sense of control, winning money. Others believe they can beat the casino and win real money.

So the mindset are those things that attract harm to them and the society because they are focused on the money, and that's why I said it's also helping some people in other hands and it's also killing some people right now in the society. Behavior also involves that makes it look bad to the society, while trying to get back lost money by gambling more( chasing losses) lying to family members or other to hide the extent of your gambling.

Risking or losing important relationships, a job, or school or work opportunities because of gambling. Asking others to bail you out of financial trouble cause you have gambled money away.

So what I'm trying to conclude is that gambling isn't something you should take as a hobby or as a means of earning just to make a living. So what are your thoughts?

you know back in the day's everyone see gambling as bad thing to the society, and right now some countries don't allow gambling in their country, why because they've seen the addicted ones in the country how their behavior and they don't want their youth's to get into it. Meanwhile some countries add a restriction towards gambling if you're not up to 18 years old you can't register with them, is not that gambling it's that bad but the people making it seems like it's bad are the addicted one's they make gambling looks evil. In the eyes of the society but not knowing that gambling is also helping in other hand, their are some countrys which are extremely poor but some of the citizens survive with gambling and some people which you see having some big investment. Most of them took the risk by gambling and they got what their wants now. So gambling might be bad in some other society but not all the society, I know why government aren't ready for them to into gambling aspects it's because they're profiting from the casinos. So with my own opinion gambling isn't bad to the society either it's helps out with some things which the government can't afford to the citizens.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never borrow money to be able to gamble on: June 04, 2024, 06:49:04 PM
First remember that you have to play with common sense and responsibility, to make sure that the game is always an entertainment. Knowing this won't make you go to the extreme of borrowing money to gamble. And you have to know the golden rules of gambling. Which are!

(1) DON'T FORGET IF YOU PLAY YOU CAN ALSO LOSE

(2)FOR YOU, GAMING MUST ONLY BE A HEALTHY FOR ENTERTAINMENT.

(3) DON'T SPEND MORE MONEY THAN YOU CAN AFFORD

(4) DO NOT GAMBLE TO WIN BACK MONEY THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY LOST BY GAMBLING.

(5) DON'T LET GAMBLING INTERFERE WITH YOUR WORK OR WITH YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES.

(6) REMEMBER THAT GAMBLING IS NOT THE IMPORTANT THING IN YOUR LIFE. DON'T LET GAMBLING AFFECT YOUR FAMILY LIFE OR YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

(7) SET YOURSELF A BUDGET AND DON'T EXCEED IT.

Why I brought this topic it's because so many people are still paying debt, why? Because they went ahead of borrowing money just to gamble and by the end of the day, they lose it all.  I know of a friend who is still battling to pay of his debt while he used the money on gambling. Is it proper no. What are the main points of gambling?
(1) CONSIDERATION
(2) ANY AMOUNT WAGERED.
(3) RISK (4) CHANCE AND A PRICE.

With you knowing this elements, you won't bother to go to the extreme of borrowing money to gamble. So have you borrowed money to gamble? If you do please take notes of this and stop it.

you're right on this because I've seen some many people going insane just because they're trying to pay back their bills. For me I won't advise someone to go to the extreme of loaning money just to gamble, maybe it might work out for you for the first day but remember everyday isn't Christmas. And with the process while you went ahead of borrowing money to gamble with if the money goes because is game of risk and luck, so don't think that you might win always remember that borrowing money it's a risk to yourself not to the casino gambling. With the elements you mentioned are good but with all this some people will still go the extreme of selling or meet up a friend to loan money just for him to gamble, the risk is something someone should put first in mind before going ahead and borrow money. You're right on this OP.
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it? on: June 04, 2024, 06:28:00 PM
Hi everyone,

Gambling has become very popular in the world , especially after the changes that have occurred over the years with modern technology and the abundance of games, we can now gamble with one push    anywhere and anytime . More money is flowing to sites and casinos in huge quantities, and everyone’s goal is to win more ,As is always known, if there is a loser, there is a winner, and I don't think that the percentage of losers is greater than the winners .

Is this true gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it?

who said so? Haven't you heard of people who becomes a multi millionaire through gambling, gambling can change lifestyle in one day why because it's a game of luck. If gambling isn't a place to make money, why are people gambling every day and night? Is it for fun or you just want to give out the little money to the casino gambling. First one thing you should know is that their are set of people who gambles, some gamble because they are earning from it why some gamble because they are just try to meet up with their monthly incomes. So even if you're gambling for fun you're also chasing for the money and in gambling you losses occurs more than winning, why because it's a game of luck and risk and through taking the risk you can become a millionaire not in one day but as long you're continually doing it. So for me every one gambles for the money not for the lose.

Many eyebrows have been raised since the new president of our beloved country and fatherland (NIGERIA) Bola Ahmed Tinubu took over from Muhammadu Buhari.
Many up till date still have doubt if the current president is leading us to success or we are going backwards currently no one can describe what we all are facing right now but all still hoping there will be better days ahead and hope for the future.

It's been a year now since our acting president sat on as the leader and father of the masses and front man of the nation and there have been alot of controversies all these while from price of petroleum to industrial products and to farm produce everything seems like we are in the worst days of our living, what is the work of a leader to make sure the masses who have elected him are always singing of his praise but that's not happening it now looks like we are used to taking things how they are.

Currently the president has signed into constitution a change of the national anthem, how this thing take concern wetin dey happen for this country person wey Neva chop dey sing?
who do u think will be mostly affected by this change
The military
Teachers
Students
National football team players.
Below is the picture of the new Nigerian national anthem

waiting me I know be say our president no really know waiting we need right now, him he know say this national anthem no be the major problem way Nigeria they talk about. How you go just wake up one morning waiting come up from your mind at of all things way we need na national anthem, but wait ohh since then born me I never one day hear say the USA or UK them done decides to change their national anthem. If them done change am abeg make somebody update me abeg, because all this story dey tire me now see how some states done scatter finish cause of the leaders way them get. But i think say maybe he get plans towards something about the anthem, and if e no get plans that means all this our leaders then just they there they use our heads. One thing never change for this our country na only national anthem dey change always. Okay see our our own products way we ourselves dey produce garri, how much be a bag of garri for your state and rice? Them no see all this one change na national anthem hmm.

The transparency of Bitcoin transactions, due to the blockchain, ensures that all movements of the currency are unique and verifiable, reducing the risk of fraud in systems. Regulatory bodies and financial institutions are increasingly encouraging and merging Bitcoin into their systems, indicating how reliable  and potential for legitimate use in the business .

Bitcoin is reliable for easy transaction, it is a system way of saving, it is transparent in trading.
Due to its unique financial stability companies are happy to use it in the legitimate ecosystem due to its legal rights in the country.

we all know Bitcoin is reliable and potential for legitimate use, but the government don't really see Bitcoin this way they see Bitcoin as a treat to the society. Why because their are so many platforms out there and it's something they think it's a fraud to youth's, who are investing towards it and that's why the government made Bitcoin Decentralized and not making it Centralized cause they're afraid of it. Everyone who's into Bitcoin investments knows that Bitcoin is what will need for ourselves, but their are some people who doesn't want Bitcoin to become Centralized of which they can operate with banks as well. And if they work with the banks that means they Centralized so what I mean is that we know how legitimate Bitcoin is but the government don't see it that way.

It's just because they don't know, they don't have the knowledge of it so it takes someone to tell them about it so they can have that knowledge, but to most of them they are addicted to it and it can only take the grace of God for them to change automatically.

you're right on this, you know as a student savings won't come across your mind if only someone talks to you about investing. And even if someone or a friend introduce with anything concerning investment you feel like he doesn't want you to enjoy yourself, and when it comes to addicted most of the students started that lifestyle of burning smoke while they're still at home, and with that freedom of no one is here to control me any longer so they can smoke more then 5 pack cigarettes in one day. And a pack cigarettes is $30 for a pack but if they really had the knowledge of investing the money, I think before their graduation they might have gotten up to $25,000 or more than this before they're out from school. So what's killing the youth's nowadays it's lack of knowledge and not ready to learn about anything.

If you're doing well in school, wouldn't you have higher chance of getting a high paying job? I mean bitcoin is just there after all, your investment in bitcoin can wait. Don't ever risk your future career just because bitcoin is a really good investment for the long-term, remember that you can't just pull out any of your investments in bitcoin just to supplement your needs, you need a stable income after all so you can hodl your bitcoin in peace.

quote] with your degree you might have a higher paying job, but that doesn't change the fact that you won't concentrate with your studies. But on that process you smoking of your payment not remembering that their are so many ways of making money while you're still in school, okay just as you said that your investments in bitcoin just to supplement your needs. But most of them don't know that their are ways mostly when it comes to Bitcoin investments, why do you think that if they start investing with Bitcoin while their still at school. Do you really think they are taking a risk? For me they are not but only laying a strong pillar that will hold them in future purposes. But for saying don't ever risk your future career just because it's really good investment, I don't support you on that. Just as I said they aren't risking anything neither they're laying a strong ground for their future.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do people truly risk their money on bets for profit? on: June 03, 2024, 11:58:42 PM
I came across a recent topic where the op was saying over 80% of gamblers gamble to make money and I had to have a dip thought on that and was curious as to know if there are possibilities that people gamble just for the sake of answering the name gambler?
Nearly eighty percentage of the gamblers are doing gambling for the money making.
From my opinion, I think there isn’t any need to stake or risk one’s money on a game simply because you want to catch fun when you could simply not risk your money and still have fun while watching same game.
I don’t know if I’m really staying my points well but I wish to know if people really have to gamble without intentions of making money?

your statement is not bad, but their are three set of gambler you should know about. * The one's who gambler to earn for a living * the one who gamble for fun * the ones who gamble just in the name of betting his/she club. But the world see the one's who gambles just to earn for a living as the addicted one's,  so if you're any of this categories that means you've find yourself in gambling life. Their are set of people who can risk everything they've just to place a bet and with the process they lose it all, and this set people are the addicted ones but those ones that gambles for fun. Don't really take gambling that serious more like the addicted ones, whenever they like they gamble most times they gamble twice in a week. This people aren't really into the money aspect but just they feel doing it for the love they have for football. And those ones who gambles because their club are paying, aren't really into the money as well but just doing it to prove to their club how far they can go for them. This my opinion towards this.
139  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: June 03, 2024, 10:57:10 PM
I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.

why the rich win more than the poor it's because rich one's stake on higher amount then the poor man. Meanwhile the poor one's only gamble with the amount they can afford to  get, so you don't have to blame he/she for not seeing any good profit or winning like the rich one's. The rich will always get more winning because they can use very good amount of money and also get in return a good amount, they can sacrifice their one of their investments payments just to place bet, but the poor doesn't have any for him/she to bet on so you can't compare their both with the winner. And in gambling the higher your amount the higher your money increases in return, and with that you can invest it with something good in life.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: June 03, 2024, 10:44:06 PM
I think its all about money. When you have more than enough money in your gambling accounts, then literally you'll go with higher bets and random bets. Cause you don't know what to do with that extra money. That's why mind will force you to do gambling with that fund. And thus people become over confidence with any match or really don't care about their money. So they gamble and loss. And yeah, Greedy plays viral role in gamblers life. Sometimes i also feel greedy to place bets on my favorite team although we shouldn't use to place bets all the time. But as I already said that money matter here! If you keep lower money in your account, then such things could be reduced in my opinion

gambling have this spirit the more money you have on you, you'll want to spend it all gambling because in gambling the more higher you stake the more your money increases, so as gambling you don't have to go gambler when you paid with your salary. You'll surely burn it all on betting that's how it works, and if you're addicted never you loan money to gamble that's the worse mistake ever. I have seen someone who's still paying bills up till now he went too far with it, so the mistakes people do must is gambling with your last cash in your account thinking you might have lucky chance. And by the end of the day you end of begging for money and that's awful in humans life and if you continue taking this risk, either you loan money or you using the last cash in your wallets to recover the loses from casino. That means you're really making the worst mistake ever.
