..... So who would be motivated enough to burn btc in order to stop this ITO from reaching the 850btc needed? .....
Who ? You asking? Spoetnik, UnicornFarts, rdnkjdi, leewilson.... the list goes on and on. Have't you seen how desperate they were ? pookie / MrBoh ?

I think the entire ITO should have been done just through coingateway. The way they dealt with it was great. All the exchanges have messed things up one way or another.

for the next 21 hours I will mainly be doing this ... ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fsmilies.newcastlebeats.com%2Fsmilies%2Fwilly_nilly.gif&t=664&c=Swe061XDXfOcBQ)

If they sell their BLOCK they purchased at Bittrex back into the wall at Bittrex they are perfectly welcome to take their BTC and go buy block somewhere else if thats what they choose to do. It is their BTC they can invest how they wish. There are no arbitrage opportunities as BLOCK cannot be withdrawn or deposited from Bittrex.
We maintain an account for the ICO that has the coins that were being sold and the BTC from those sales for our BUY/SELL walls only. It is all tracked through there, volume created by people buying above ICO price does not count towards the ICOs total sales.
The statements above only stand for the 48 hour buy back period.
Thank you,
Ryan @ Bittrex
Thank you Ryan for the explanation. However I think that the concern people have here is that anyone who wants to cripple the ITO can deposit as much BTC as (s)he likes, put up slightly higher bids to attract buyers, and then sell into the buy wall at a slight loss. The cost of this would be minimal. If you're aware of the smear campaign we've endured, you'll have little doubt about the presence of people who would very happily pay a low price to make the ITO fail. This, in my opinion, presents a sure-fire way for opponents of the Blocknet to create conditions that do not reflect true interest in the project. As such, I think that the buy wall does not address the unfair conditions due to open trading being enabled on Poloniex. Instead it creates a severely unfair condition for every single supporter of the Blocknet. I request that you end the Buyback period early. Sincerely Arlyn BUMP!

@Arlyn plz, can you or someone from the team with good knowledge of the numbers of raised funds do some calculations and keep us up to date how much was sold and refunded so far? my own estimate is from numbers that where thrown around in the forum and are now flying around in my head ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) ~1100 BTC where raised and ~100 BTC were refunded so far => 1000 BTC minus 150 BTC more refunded on Bittrex would make the IPO fail => Bittrex sellwall from now 330 BTC down below 180 BTC would mean => FAIL?? IPO refund timer: http://www.webcountdown.net/?a=zqXsrezso, do we know roughly where we are with regads to the amount of BTC raised so far?
We were at about 1100 btc before the buy wall appeard, now with 90 btc sold we are at about 1010 btc

xc forum down for some maintenance I guess?
No comment for shadowcoin+DKR merge, XC is way ahead in that regard as well. I mean seriously, how long before every1 realizes just how forward ahead XC team thinks/plans/delivers ?
They announced a few days ago the XC forum would be going down and being replaced. Hope it is decent, and comes soon. there is currently nowhere to find out anything about XC.

Maybe not the best analogy. The Concorde was retired because it was unprofitable. (jk)
LoL ! I was waiting for someone to point that out. Technological prowess over profit was my analog. Why else is Darkcoin bothering with a "beautiful" wallet. haha. I was only messing. Good luck to ya. I hope it goes ahead. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

.......Many don't want me here because I keep pointing out major issues.
I like to ask you just one thing: Will you go for seppuku, if this ITO succeeds ? ? ? had to google that. LOL.

The proposal merges the two coins and they'll keep whatever stake they had, but in Darkcoin instead. It's the first "coin-merge" to ever happen in crypto.
I think it's a great idea ! Check the history of the British Aerospace industry. The country was chockfull of disparate plane makers all trying to solve the same problem. It was a no brainer to merge complimentary enterprises to work co-operatively on a more ambitious project. I hereby nominate Darkcoin and Shadowcoin as "De-Havilland" and "Hawker Siddely" of crypto respectively, who merged this... ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FMsnFKxN.png&t=664&c=Z0cAQ8gOqYhblw) with this.... ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FHPiaPRp.png&t=664&c=hTeK4XWP-IqqfQ) to make this.... ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FjdKs1BY.png&t=664&c=mkR9Ks4AdXo3vA) Maybe not the best analogy. ha! Sounds like exactly the same idea that XC team offered shadowcash in that leaked chatlog.

Hopefully a large investor that believes in the project does come along and sets a very large wall at 0.00025001, which results in a jubilant rejoice as BlockNet ITO succeeds it's funding minimum.
If I had the funds, I'd do it. But alas, I'm just a small fish.
Do it....you know you want to. Save the future of crypto!
Sorry, had multiple conversations with myself at the same time.
I heard somewhere Prometheus had some clout. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

lol... Arlyn sent over a very angry and frustrated letter yesterday afternoon. Here’s the chronology she lays out of the assault on Blocknet:
|
|
|
For those of you who are fans of sweet sweet justice, the journalist behind the scandalous Blocknet "Scam" article has been fired. Edward Snowden was fired too along with many people especially journalists that were doing excellent jobs because the powers that be wanted to line their pockets instead. Really??? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

watch - so many poeple will dump there will be less than the required amount to do the project. But then XC will say "we are going to move forward with the project anyway" just to keep the remaining btc

For anyone still wondering about Dan's ability to code, I have had a private discussion with Xander Shepard recently. He does the Linux builds for XC and is listed on the XC team roster on the official website. He has seen the private github repository and has verified with me that Dan makes very regular commits and that he is indeed a skilled coder with the experience he says he has. I just wanted to help clarify this matter. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FqapRTvh.jpg&t=664&c=9j61XI_QFPDUow) We do know that he paid loljosh to create XC. He's never publicly admitted it. [–]atcsecure 2 points 3 months ago*
For LolJosh's involvement, he assisted in some of the original QT work and as you can see he didn't start offering an X11/PoS coin until after x11coin was released
(just posting this because its not like it's a secret)
