121  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What exactly is Russia's problem. on: October 11, 2022, 12:59:02 PM
the war between Ukraine and Russia can't be explained briefly.. it's too complex ..but for sure that it was Ukraine who started provoking Russia by allying with NATO .. and Russia was also wrong to provoke Ukraine by annexing Crimea .. and many other problems .. so who do you think is wrong depends on which angle you look at it..
122  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is there a movement for change in Iran? on: October 10, 2022, 01:29:17 PM
tbh it will be very difficult for this movement to be able to revolutionize the Iranian government,,, because we know that most of those who sit in the Iranian government are patriarchal and highly uphold male superiority.. especially Iran is a country that highly respects Islam and according to their understanding patriarchy very important in Islam
123  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Elon Buys Twitter - Project X on: October 07, 2022, 02:43:42 AM
it seems that twitter will become a web3-based social media platform and more friendly,, but in my opinion this is still an ordinary social media where censorship is still there,, even though it is not as massive as before,, but it is better.. there is no new innovation in this and this will be new cash field for Musk

125  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is good leadership enough to fight corruption? on: September 29, 2022, 03:39:35 PM
yes,, good leadership of course will reduce corruption .. but it will not eliminate corruption in the country .. even in a country that adheres to communist ideology like China which hates corruption, corrupt practices can still be found, but it is not as massive as it is in African countries.. to eradicate corruption can't just be with the good leader, but it must also start from people's awareness to fight corruption, but of course it is very difficult to achieve
126  Economy / Economics / Re: Can commodities return to its price last year? on: September 29, 2022, 02:31:02 PM
commodity prices certainly won't be able to return to their previous prices due to inflation.. but if oil prices go down, along with transportation costs and production declines,, of course this will affect commodity prices and make prices more affordable,, but I think this will be difficult to achieve

128  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is a creeping beast on: September 27, 2022, 12:28:36 PM
basically in an economic system, inflation is needed to be able to control people's purchasing power, make loans more attractive, and some other benefits.. but this will also be a problem if the government can't control their inflation because it will make the economy chaotic like what happened in Sri Lanka ... decentralized currency does not seem to be the solution for this, because indeed the issue of inflation is very complex and cannot be solved with this alone .. but I agree that a decentralized currency is needed, not to overcome inflation but for faster and anonymous transactions
129  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The economic danger of China and Taiwan war on: September 26, 2022, 02:21:09 PM
of course there will be a pretty massive economic impact if the China Mainland and China Taiwan wars occur.. because global chip production still relies on Taiwan and many global companies put their R&D centers in Taiwan, and many other things where Taiwan is the a very strategic country in Asia and the world .. so if this is disturbed, of course it will make a fairly massive economic impact even beyond the war in Ukraine and Russia

131  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teach Children Financial Education on: September 22, 2022, 12:58:01 PM
it's quite difficult to be able to teach children financial education from an early age because at that age they shouldn't be managing their own finances.. but basic knowledge about finances for teenagers should not be a problem.. and moreover, we also have to be able to manage our finances so that later these children can learn from how we manage our own finances, in addition to the basic knowledge they have gained
132  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC Chair Gensler Raises Concerns Over ‘Staking’ Model on Ethereum on: September 21, 2022, 02:32:14 PM
i also prefer Ethereum PoW over PoS,, but for the sake of a greener future i think PoS is not a bad idea because it is more energy-efficient and doesn't require a high performance machine.. but speaking of the news above, what i wonder is what what does the SEC Chair have to do with PoS issues on the Ethereum network?? indeed he is worried about this PoS, but what does that have to do with him?? why should he comment on things that are not his domain?? smh
133  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping: an increasingly unequal relationship on: September 21, 2022, 08:51:05 AM
putin sees that when he sided with "asia" he could get more advantages than siding with "west" .. even though the relationship seems unequal at the moment,, but putin believes that in the future russia will benefit more from this relationship ... and it seems that russia has started to open up opportunities to share their nuclear and space technology with developing countries in asia such as indonesia, and several other countries, which will make russia-asia relations even closer
134  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests on: September 20, 2022, 03:01:57 PM
All around the different regions/parts of the world, they have the same issue that's causing mass protests. It's HIGH INFLATION, HIGH FUEL PRICES, HIGH FOOD PRICES, HIGH COSTS OF LIVING, AND LOW MINIMUM WAGE.

this has happened in my country... right after the government started to raise the price of oil,, many people started to take to the streets and protest.. because with the rising price of oil this will make transportation costs and many other things increase,, on the other hand people's salaries are not comparable with their cost of living and this causes inflation and many poor people suffer even more
135  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: September 20, 2022, 01:33:22 PM
Can't say how much India is suffering but Pakistan is suffering alot even though its sitting very next to world largest oil and gas reserve country. Buying expensive LNG from Qatar instead of cheap Iran gas, producing expensive electricity from furnace oil but not willing to buy cheap Iran Electricity. All this is because of USA sanctions on Iran and also forcing other countries not to trade with Iran.
Now Europe is facing energy crisis and they must thank USA for that. Just like we are suffering.

most developing countries are facing this problem,, especially in Asia,, they are very interested in buying oil from Russia or Iran to be able to suppress oil prices in their countries, but the problem is that America will impose economic sanctions on countries that buy oil from Russia or Iran .. this is a dilemma because America also provides a lot of subsidies to these countries but at the same time the price of oil in their country starts to soar which will cause inflation to get worse
136  Economy / Economics / Re: California sues Amazon, alleging its policies cause higher prices everywhere on: September 20, 2022, 11:53:03 AM
California as a state should be able to regulate how Amazon works in their state and with their regulations can prevent things like this from happening .. I totally agree that California officials sued Amazon because their policies can cause significant price increases which will harm consumers
137  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Spare Change Investment Apps A Good Option on: September 20, 2022, 11:06:07 AM
to be honest,, I think Acorns is very helpful for beginners who don't want to focus too much on investing but still want to invest small and don't really care about fees .. but for experts this is quite expensive and not worth it because the fees are unreasonable .. However, Acorns offers easy investment thats what makes it the best investment platform for beginner
138  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is suicide the best option? on: September 20, 2022, 09:21:39 AM
Regardless of the circumstances of this life, suicide is never an appropriate course of action because it is widely held that "if there is life, there is hope." Remember that nothing good comes easily. Many heroes who have stood to ensure that our nations are better today fought very hard to achieve their goals because most of them suffered greatly, but they withstood the pressure and they succeeded. Many of these lectures in higher education institutions are not treated the same way that students are treated these days, but endurance should be the main point now. Always consider other options before committing suicide.

but not everyone has good mental health.. have you ever heard the news that there was a priest who committed suicide because of life problems? even though he should have a good religious foundation and experience in dealing with problems in his life, but he chose to commit suicide.. so we can't say that someone has to be able to withstand a problem, we have different mental health so for some people suicide is the best option
139  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think Color should be a limitation? on: September 19, 2022, 05:21:09 PM

My question is, do you think color should be a limitation to whom we love or choose to be with in life?

of course not ,, we can love anyone regardless of what color he is .. life will be very short if we continue to worry about the color of our partner's skin ... regardless of what people comment on our choices ,, just let them comment, because who lives life is us not them
140  Economy / Economics / Re: What is regulations turning into on: September 19, 2022, 02:54:10 PM

Are regulators not overdoing?

the problem is that we live in a world where politicians who have little or no understanding of cryptocurrencies are trying to regulate cryptocurrencies..i think it's very funny when they try to make cryptocurrencies more "less" private because in some cases these politicians mention that the sender and receiver of cryptocurrency should include their identity.. in my opinion this is too much because humans also need privacy regardless of what the purpose of their transaction is
