121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana Slope Wallet Vulnerabilities on: August 05, 2022, 08:03:36 AM
This hack is not big enough to make solana crash a lot and also it seems that freebies are the ones affceted, I meant those that love to claim free tokens and stuff, I am not a fan of solana and I don't think I will ever be.

123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Death of Etheruem mining - Predicitions on: May 14, 2022, 06:02:16 AM
Ethereum switching to proof of stake will be its biggest mistake, all those whales expecting huge staking rewards will be disappointed on the long run, I still very much believe that the PoW algorithm is what takes Ethereum to this level.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everything stop on: May 12, 2022, 08:01:29 AM
Save your money with USDT, or BUSD, as this point BTC will also keep losing value because of the major dump from Luna team, they bought too many BTC and now they have to dump the BTC to save Luna and UST, I am sure that BTC can go below 20,000$ with this current situation.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My crypto mining journey starts today on: May 12, 2022, 06:56:00 AM
Better to wait until after the ETH PoS crash or if the bear market continues. GPU prices could be half, meaning you could buy twice as many cards if you're patient.

Right now is a horrible time to build a rig, because the recent dip in crypto price hasn't been reflected in used video card markets yet. A RTX 3060L still costs $400+ on feeBay. It should really be $370 or lower.
I have stopped looking for graphic cards to buy, also new graphic cards are coming from Nvidia and AMD soon so I am expecting those RTX 3080 to go as low as 400$, I believe this is possible once ETH gets off the PoW algorithm and Bitcoin dips to under 20,000$, still think impossible?.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What a bear market actually looks like on: May 11, 2022, 05:34:09 AM
I'm a little skeptical if this bear market could be in a similar situation to the last bear market. This is because corporate companies and some governments are buying bitcoin from their own bonds as the bitcoin price drops. I think this time the bear season may be a little shorter or there will not be very deep falls.
So only rich men and the government will keep holding their assets in Bitcoin and other but if there is a huge fear in the market many will surely sell and leave, this is normal, more than 60% of crypto investors are people not the government or rich men.
127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Get in my shoes for a minute on: May 10, 2022, 06:23:07 PM
I would rather buy a hardware wallet right now and keep my BTC safe instead of taking the risk with other wallets that can get compromised before you see another money to buy a hardware wallet, its now or never before its too late, safety first OP safety first.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Don't make a big mistake miners on: May 10, 2022, 06:13:32 PM
Holy mother of Mary  Cheesy You are one crazy fella 😆, no wonder you mentioned a warehouse lol, I think this move is easy for you because you have been around since the last bear market, you have come to understand that a bear market is the best time to gather those yummy altcoins, hehe I am sure you will have a success story to share on here by 2025 👍, Rock on Fella.
I did start a warehouse with 200 cards back in early 2018, but it went bankrupt when a big investor quit and we only received 200 cards instead of 1200 cards. The warehouse had enough power capacity to hold 3000 GPUs while the rent was $3500/month. Total hashrate was 5 Gh/s. This would equal 10 Gh today, as video cards were half as powerful back then.

I learned many lessons from that failure, so I will keep trying. I did find a few people who want to invest in an operation that size, but we need to wait until the right time to do it. $400 for an RTX 3060 is still too expensive. It needs to be MSRP or lower before we think about getting the warehouse.

Paying $2,000 just for cheap electricity at 2-3 cent per kWh, right?
No, the power cost would be 6-7 cents while the effective rent per kWh would be 2-3 cents. Let's say the warehouse has 125 kW of capacity, which is 90000 kWh per month. $2000 rent / 90000 = 2.2¢ per kWh. So the total operating cost is 8.2-9.2¢. Obviously, the more power the site can handle, the more cards we can fit, so the lower the operating cost/kWh.

If it wasn't for the cheap electricity, I don't think any warehouse could demand a rent fee of $2,000 just to park 12.5-25 mining rigs there. That's like asking $160-$80 per mining rig. Insane price since local warehouses in my country only takes less than $15 for 1 mining rig, electricity price at 8 cent per kWh.
What I said was that 100-200 video cards is the maximum most people in the U.S. can run in a residential house with a 200A 240v electric panel. Anything more requires a warehouse. Datacenter colocation isn't possible because it costs at least 13¢/kWh.
Sounds like you aren't the only one running the farm or you use someone's fund to build the farm, that could be a good plan but I cant say if its good right now in a bear market, I think your plan was the bear market after all.

Cheaper graphic cards
More hashrate
Cheap electricity

It seems now is the best time to start, I get you.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Who've noticed the same ? on: May 09, 2022, 04:32:47 PM
There is one thing I have come to understand about gddr6x graphic cards, before the hundred percent LHR unlock came I used to get 58MH on my 3070ti using 176watt and my memory temp is around 86°C max but now that the unlock came out I am getting 82MH and GPU is taking 190watt to run perfectly but the memory temp is 103°C, the higher the watt your gpu is using the higher your mem temp goes.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: LHR unlock woke up sleeping rigs? on: May 09, 2022, 04:20:22 PM
I heard that Trex also released its own LHR unlock hours ago, haha now every available mining software have supported this unlock, its a shame that this have made ETH mining profits to go crippled now, if BTC keeps falling like this mining won't worth it anymore and those LHR graphic cards won't matter.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about Rewards Token Projects in general? on: May 08, 2022, 05:18:59 PM
All these type of projects do is give out some rewards, that's all they know how to do, no real utility nothing, stay away from such projects because they can easily turn to scams right before your eye, find good projects that add value to crypto and it's users.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 100% unlock on V2 on: May 08, 2022, 05:02:28 PM
NBMiner has 100% unlock today.  So expect all the majors will have it in short order.

You are joking right? Next time just drop a link or a picture to at least proof that what you are saying is the truth, are you currently using Nbminer? If yes send us a screenshot with your LHR graphic cards mining ETH with full hashrate unlocked.

Here take your video:

Funny my 3090 gigabyte can't do more than 105 mhs but all my 3080 ti do 117 mhs (my target is 88-90C on memory), my 3080s are doing 97 mhs (before was 77) same consumption same overclock.
About to try this out on my 3070ti rig but I need to upgrade driver to version 510.60.02 for Nbminer to work perfectly in HiveOS, also I need to update the Nbminer to the latest version, I hope I get a good result like everyone else.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finding projects before they list on CMC/CG. on: May 06, 2022, 02:27:12 PM
This website has a token  Grin and you see that's the difference, coinmarketcap relies on nothing to keep working, new projects need to get on coin gecko and CMC so people have information about the project but that's not the case with this website you drop, it looks suspicious, they have a token and of cos they are looking for way to attract people to their own token, its all about the money here.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Basic mining rig on: May 06, 2022, 02:15:01 PM
i`m from india and i think aliexpress does ship here but the import tax is quite high... does ebay and ali accept returns of the gfx card doesnt work ok ? ETH DAG being > 4gb is the bottleneck but i`m ok with mining new coins that are promising just to experiment and be an early miner in case any of them takes off to the moon !
You should be able to source for cards in India without having to buy from a long distance, mining isn't that profitable anymore so people are already selling their graphic cards, buy a used graphic card mate and do your thing.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all hacked on exchanges are real on: May 05, 2022, 05:33:28 AM
This claim hasn't been proved before but that doesn't mean its wrong, humans are the most dubious I've ever seen, betrayal and deceit are very common among us, this is why I don't trust Dex platforms as well and their own part is when more safer if they do anything wrong because no one will question them.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS and Cardano are better than Bitcoin on: May 05, 2022, 05:25:03 AM
If this claim is true why haven't Bitcoin lose its first rank on coinmarketcap or coin gecko yet? There is one thing you don't understand, the success of crypto project isn't only about how many problems they solve in crypto space, people are the most important part in crypto world, if they have interest in a project more than the other no one will stop it.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 6800 XT vs 3070 TI on: May 03, 2022, 06:56:33 PM
Buy more 3060Ti or 3070, AMD cards will perform lower once ETH PoW is deactivated, Nvidia works better on other algorithms that's why I make that only very few AMD cards are in my rigs, most cards I have are Nvidia, you can use AMD cards like 6600,6700,6800,6900 to mine Ravencoin and Flux but performance-wise it's not as good as their Nvidia counterparts.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs aren't just there yet on: May 03, 2022, 03:26:58 PM
I just think that NFT’s are this cycles version of last cycles ICO boom & bust. Let’s be honest, who wants to pay hundreds of thousands of $ for a stupid JPG image, it’s ridiculous. I think a lot of ballers were selling NFTs to themselves to launder money but also increase the supposed worth of said NFT for the next potential sale. When you have celebs & influencers buying them for stupid money there is always the chance some other high net worth moron will follow them.

If I was you, I would be looking to invest in bitcoin & other leading alts. NFTs are a passing phase, they have no utility & no future use case.
Someone I knew took pictures of a random person and sell it on open sea, the crazy thing is someone actually bought the pictures, this is just stupid honestly but who wouldn't want to make money just because something looks so stupid? I am not going to wait around and keep condemning NFTs when I can make money out of them.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Am I Wrong on: May 02, 2022, 07:28:07 AM
Today was a crazy day with ETH. Like the above poster said it was the BAYC NFT and the transactions fees were nuts. I think at one point it was like 4000 GWEI and something like $70M worth of ETH burned today alone due to these transactions.

People are saying they were handled poorly and could of been some gas savings if they did the transactions a little different however it was done in a poor way and so much ETH was wasted on fees alone today.

Good for miners I guess.
It was a bit over 6000 gwei lol, something like this will always happen once in a blue moon, every time a popular project plan to introduce a NFT there will be a gold rush and the price will spark up madly, its a shame that this doesn't stay around for a long time, my rig was even off at the time .
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Warning to all crypto miners plain to HODL on: May 02, 2022, 07:05:39 AM
These two Pow altcoins (Loki aka Oxen and Havven Protocol) are the sole survivors of many proof of work coins of 2017/2018, many died but these two still survive, this is an example of why we need to be careful which PoW coin you plan to support and hold, not all of them will survive.
