Actually, this is a complicated situation faced by Barcelona and with Xavi's dismissal, I don't think they are actually ready to find a replacement. I wonder what Laporta was thinking when he fired Xavi considering that he had asked him to stay and now he has changed his mind to tell Xavi to leave the coaching chair.

Personally, I would have liked Xavi to stay, but he might not be what Barcelona needs right now. Barcelona are in a difficult situation and they need a manager that can make them compete against Madrid and Europe with what they have. They need a different approach to the game. They need a manager that can constantly attack, because if you look at it closely, you'll see that Barcelona have quality players and they shout playing better than they did this season. What Barcelona lacks is squad depth, but their first 11 is solid.

With all the names I'm seeing to replace Xavi, Hansi Flick is the only one I'll pick over Xavi. There's no point sacking Xavi for a manager that doesn't have more experience and plays better football than Xavi.
Flick knows how to push his players to the last, he knows how to manage them and bring out the best from them. The problem is, his patter of football is very draining and requires a lot from the players so it's either the players don't adapt or they do very well this season and be too fatigued to do it again the next season. I believe that was the problem he faced in Bayern Munich.
Let's wait and see if Barcelona would fire Xavi at all before we can speculate.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fixed matches group in 3rd world countries on: May 22, 2024, 06:31:05 AM
First, Match fixing exist. Especially in very low leagues of countries outside Europe. I believe it's also done in European leagues but it has to be on way lower divisions because there are no much eyes there.
Secondly, 99.9% of people that claim to have fixed matches for selling or for free are liers. When a match is fixed, they don't make that information public, it stays within a small circle of all those involved, so for you to have that information you're either part of that circle or have a source that gives you that information.
That particular guy may be among the 0.01% that have a legit source of fixed matches.

As a newbie why is he involved in any coin that's not bitcoin? If he just stuck to bitcoin as a holder he wouldn't need to to be stressed and keep checking on his coin and listen to what other have to say.
And why should he have to trust people? Safeguarding your seed phrase is just the same thing as safeguarding other personal details of yours, difference is, this should be saved offline. All you have to do is find a safe place where nobody would think to look and no body is going to come across it by mistake.
It's not compulsory you use a hardware wallet, even though we all agree it's the safest means to secure your bitcoin. If you use an open sourced, non custodial wallet you would be fine if you keep your seed safe safe offline and don't expose your wallet to people online.

The stress that I say comes with bitcoin is just the emotional stress. Watching your asset devalue is not an easy task, but if you stick to bitcoin and have a basic understanding of bitcoin you'll understand that bitcoin dip is not the end of bitcoin, it usually comes back up, so that means you'll definitely get your money back.

So I believe there are only two problems with your friend.
The first is, he didn't stick with bitcoin. A newbie shouldn't be meddling with altcoins.
The second is, he doesn't have an understanding of bitcoin, or maybe he has the wrong understanding.

124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to maximize winning potential and control excessive gambling habits on: May 21, 2024, 06:00:57 PM
Yes, it is, but it is easier said than done. We all know that bankroll management is very important, but we tend to forget that as we go along. I have had a lot of problems managing my bankroll in the past because we tend to become too excited and put an excess bet on what we should allocate. This usually happens when we lose and want to chase our losses when we forget the allocation and go ahead and exceed our bets.

Not chasing losses is a very hard thing to do. I think it's underestimated. Most times we talk about it as something we can just switch on and off. It's very difficult, especially when I have money. If I do not have much money on me at the time, I might be forced to stop gambling, but when there's money on me, I always have the urge to want to win back what I have lost. Sometimes when I set out a certain percentage for gambling for the week, I might use all that money in a day or two and this would make me go over the estimated amount I planned to use for gambling for that week. It's takes a lot of discipline, I'm not there yet but I'm getting better at it. I have come to realize that it's a constant work in progress, I don't think anybody masters it.

There are even times when you'll be tempted to stake very high on a particular game. This happens to me when I'm only looking at the potential win and how huge the amount may be. Greed sets in and I want to win big. Like I said, it's a constant work in progress.

wait what? 70 as a number is just not good for anyone here anymore? like we are just gonna skip it then?

There's a level of success you'll get to, certain success that is celebrated by others won't move you anymore. I think that's the case here. We spent a lot of time at 64 and now that it's rising, 70 isn't the goal, it should go as high as it can. Lol.
Since 70 wasn't good enough, it's skipped to 71. Grin

We are not certain yet so don’t be too confident, It is a final and anything can happen. Manchester United can be full of surprises sometimes just as they did with Liverpool that ended their title hopes. Both Chelsea and Newcastle now hope for united to lose sos let’s just hope they lose but it’s not certain yet.

Of course I know it's not certain, it's football, nothing is certain, but we know the odds obviously favours Manchester City. Liverpool have not been too solid this season. They've fumbled a couple of times but Manchester City on the other hand gets better as the season got further. With the way Manchester United play, it's very difficult for them to stop a team like Manchester City.
Manchester City concede over 10 shots on target when they're playing against a team like Crystal Palace. Teams like Bournemouth have 20 attempts on goal against Manchester United. That doesn't look like a team that can face a motivated Manchester City side. It's not certain that Man City will win, but Manchester United chances of winning are too low.

Bayern is now in a difficult period, they are considering many candidates, I see names such as Kompany and Falk, but until there is any official announcement, these will just be negotiations between the team and the candidates.

I highly doubt that Bayern Munich will end up with any of those managers the media is putting forward. Bayern need an experiences manager right now. Someone that understands the club. They wouldn't want to go two seasons without winning the Bundesliga and they would really want to compete in the champions League. Not to mention the fact that if they don't get the right manager some of their key players may leave.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 21, 2024, 07:32:19 AM
I feel Chelsea will qualify for the Europa because i don’t see Manchester United winning Manchester City in the FA Cup.
Yea, Chelsea will be in the Europa. Man City is winning tha final. Chelsea tried to turn their season around, but it was already too late as their inconsistency was a problem to them.
It favours Newcastle too if Manchester City beats Manchester United in the FA cup final because they'll be able to qualify for the conference league in second place, but if Manchester United wins, they won't qualify.

Manchester United needs to improve their team before next season starts because this squad cannot compete in the league especially with such weak defense. They need to rebuild the team even though Ten Hag will stay a little longer.

Like I've always said, Manchester United have so much work to do. Their team is not a good team and they need to make some very big decisions. They need to stop buying players that a hyped by the media. They need to go for solid players that are good on paper and on the pitch. A team like Manchester United need great players. They should take their time and rebuild. The whole team doesn't needs to be strengthened in on transfer window, but they can take time to build a solid team, just as Manchester City did.
The problem is Manchester United want to strengthen their team in one season, same mistakes Chelsea made. Players should be integrated into a team at different times. If very well managed, you can have a world class team over a  period of 2 to 3 seasons.

Your money does nobody here a favor. Nobody cares about you or your money. You're just an entitled clown seeking attention. You claim to be an old user in the forum then you should know that post like that would be deleted. How do you accuse people of spamming when you're making two words post with emoji? Isn't that's spamming? I guess the spanners are just taking a page from your notebook.

The fact you believe special treatment should be given to you because you claim you have more money than 99% of the forum or because you're from a 1st word country shows the kind of clueless clown you are.
You complained that the wall observer thread is filled with crap, I just went through you post history and all your post in the wall observer thread can be deleted by the moderator and he'll be doing the right thing. You are part of the  people that post crap on the thread you claim love so much. You're a spammer.

For some people there may be those who invest without capital, but for others or most people the main requirement is capital, on the contrary I have not found people who invest without capital, in my opinion, I do not agree with the absence of capital, because the slightest thing, the will or desire of a person can be said to be capital, to be confident.

As long as you have an income, you have capital to invest in bitcoin. Your problem is, you see capital as a special fund that is either outsourced or saved for a long time. Capital is simply money you can use to invest and with bitcoin you can invest with whatever you have.
If yo have an income. The smaller your income, the smaller your investment might be.
Imagine having savings and saying you're waiting for capital to invest in bitcoin. It doesn't make sense because that savings can be your investment. It can be $20, but as long as that $20 can grow to $25 or drop to $15, that's an investment and that's how it is with bitcoin.
As long as you have an income, you have capital to invest in bitcoin in my opinion.
130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What type of a trader/investor is this? on: May 20, 2024, 12:49:31 PM
A common greedy investor.

I won't just conclude that it's greed. He may be inexperienced too. Or he just had a higher profit in mind.
For me I'll go with inexperienced, because an experience trader would know to take profit when he had the chance. He messed up, but that happens to a lot of people.
Using the whole 3k he had in the first place was a move that could make or break him and he got lucky with that, then he made another call when it got to $80k. He made a make or break decision. If the 80k has turned into $200k we would be having a different conversation right now.
Like the saying goes "the difference between a mad man and a genius is in the result".
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 20, 2024, 12:10:19 PM
Guardiola is one of the best and most brilliant in the whole of Europa and another who could be likened to him is klop in Liverpool but this wasn't his lucky season, peps achievement since his arrival to Manchester city has been really of a very reputable statue as he's got the premier league four times and the champions league once aswell as other trophies which some other English Coach has not been able to win in their stay in their various teams.

I don't think I'll put Pep and Klopp on the same level. No disrespect to Klopp though, he's a good manager, one of the best, but I believe Pep is ahead of him. Pep has won 6 premier league titles out of 7. It would have been 7 out of 7 if Klopp didn't win one. Since Pep got to the EPL he has only failed to win the EPL twice which was in his first season and the season Klopp won it. That's an insane record.
This man won he la liga three times in a row, something Madrid has not been able to do in over 30 years, he won the Bundesliga liga same way and now he was won the EPL 4 times in a row.
If Pep hadn't won the EPL this way people would have said he can't do it in the premier league, but now he has. Winning the EPL 4 times in a row is something no other manager has ever done. I think Pep is underrated.

People try to undermine his success with "he spends a lot of money", well, so does every other club. Liverpool spends money, Arsenal spends money, Chelsea, Manchester United will spend money, but none of them can have the success of Man City in the league and it simply because they done have Pep. Pep buys players that are a little above average and turn them in superstars. He's a genius in this. Look at the amount of trophies he has won in less than 15 years of management. He'll retire as the best manager the world has ever seen..
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 20, 2024, 11:55:32 AM
Useless historical statistics. Are there many players left on the teams from the last time they met? If I remember correctly, Dortmund beat Real even when Lewandowski was in their lineup  Grin The current balance of power is clear: Real is first in La Liga and Dortmund is fifth in the Bundesliga. I think that the top teams from La Liga are obviously stronger than the top teams from the Bundesliga (although this question becomes more and more interesting against the backdrop of Bayer's rise).

It doesn't always work like that. Dortmund knocked out Atletico Madrid and PSG who are in better positions in their local leagues than Dortmund. The year Chelsea won the champions League against Man City, they were not top of the league.
Finals goes down to who wants it more, who's more experienced to win it. It's a one game match, whatever happens in the match determines the winner. There are no second legs or whatever. So saying a team would win because they're top of their league and they're opponents is 5th isn't accurate.

Real Madrid are obvious winners of that match, but that is because they're the better team. They have more experienced players, they have better players and coach, they have more experience with the champions League too.
What's going to make it interesting is that Dortmund knows all these. They know they're the underdogs, so they won't go there for o be slaughtered, they'll prepare for it. They're not just going to let Madrid run them over, if you've been watching Dortmund in the UCL recently, you'll understand this.
The odds are still in favour or Madrid, but Dortmund are going to fight, I don't believe they'll win because I've always known Dortmund to be that club that bottles when you need them, but they'll put up a fight.
133  Other / Meta / Re: Artificial Intelligence on the Forum on: May 20, 2024, 10:50:50 AM
My thoughts on this are simple. If a user is assisted in making a post through artificial intelligence, instead of the user to pass it on as knowledge coming from themselves they should do the right thing and simply put at the footnote or references, source as artificial intelligence. Doing this without adding a source is tantamount to plagiarism. However if it is overdone by a user then the attention of the user needs to be called to it and they should be cautioned. We want to see original thoughts, ideas and write up not ai generated.

Except a user is using it as a reference to something, I don't think AI generated post should be used at all. I don't see any reason why somebody can use an AI to write a full post and then putting a link or stating that the post was AI generated makes it okay. I don't know if there's an expressive rule against it, but it doesn't make sense to me. It's different if you use an AI tool to correct your spelling, grammar or punctuation, but using an AI to generate a post is just wrong. It's not organic.
This is a discussion forum and in a discussion if you don't have anything to say you just be quiet and listen, you don't always have to say something. It's better to not reply to a post or create a post than posting someone else's words, that's plagiarism..

While Mbappe alone has the potential to add so much strength to the team, Wirtz transfer is also being talked about for Real Madrid. Could Ancelotti face a crisis after bringing so many star players to the team? Every player wants to play, but 11 people will be on the field. When you think about it, all of the players have the quality to be on the field in the first 11. As a result, Ancelotti seems to be quite confused. Even the substitute players are in the magnificent Real Madrid. Each player has effects that will change the balance of the game when they enter the game.

Ancellotti is one manager I know that has a very good man management skill. He knows how to keep his players happy and motivated. Remember how Vinicius was just a player who could dribble before Ancellotti came to Madrid? Ancellotti came and turned him into a beast. As long as you have talent and you're ready to work you can succeed under Ancellotti. Wirtz joining Madrid won't be an issue for him. He is a player that won't be on the bench, he can be a starter for Madrid, but he too has to fight for his spot. I doubt Madrid would sign Writz though, but if he joins that would be the perfect team for him. Madrid don't have an attacking midfielder and with the way Madrid play, they always need a creative attacking midfielder. Writz has proven himself as one of the best, so I don't expect him to be a bench warmer I. Madrid.
135  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial fact that the authorities would not want you to know. on: May 19, 2024, 04:19:30 PM
This is a usually a fault of the bank and not the government, except the government has a poor legal system. The bank knows that if the beneficiary tries to use legal means, he would spend almost the amount of not more than he could get from the account, so he would just forget about the money because it's not worth it. Most times if it's a very huge amount of money that no matter how long the legal proceedings may take, the money would still be worth it, the banks releases the money after asking from the necessary requirements. Also, the bank might try to protect themselves because if news goes out that they've refused to give a beneficiary who is a next or kin his money, it would be bad PR. The bank most times avoids a legal case.

First things first, you should get a lawyer. You may not know the laws and policies of the system but a lawyer would know and he would handle matters for you. A lawyer will prepare you and make sure you have all necessary requirements.
Both the original owner of the tweet and the next of kin need to get a lawyer.

Buddy try taking things that concern, your family, government, and other things to your local board and not a general discussion panel.

The fact that a particular country was mentioned doesn't make it a discussion for the local board of that country alone. This is something that is not particular to one country alone, it happens in different countries, so I believe it can be discussed in a general board and as well as a local board.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FED action against bitcoin & crypto on: May 19, 2024, 03:25:10 PM
FED, DOJ, SEC can do anti-Bitcoin, anti-cryptocurrency actions and can do some regulations to serve their fights against this market but they must now, by doing such fights, they are fighting against their citizens.

Things like this have a bad side and a good side. I get that the government are using all there power to fight bitcoin and crypto in it's own way, but looking from a different perspective, there doing their jobs.
If there are no regulations and the regulatory bodies don't do their jobs people will commit so many crimes and break so many laws with their platforms. If prominent people are allowed to do whatever they want they will get away with a lot, despite all the regulations, they get away with a lot talk more of little to no regulation.

The downside is that the feds just want to scapegoat whoever they catch at this point. Cz was a clear case of scapegoating for me, even though he was guilty. I feel it's either the crime was worse than reported or the feds wanted to make a statement with CZ.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoin specifically for holders.. on: May 18, 2024, 07:07:50 PM
I don't know much about the coin but if they have the same founders as Arbdoge, then they're not very good are they? Because after a year now Arbdoge is still worth way, less than $0.005.  If their previous project is still a shit coin after a whole year, what's ti say this one would be any different?
In my opinion, Meme coins are not worth it. Just telling people that a particular coin is good, doesn't make it good.
If I'm to ever invest in memecoin, it would be because I have money to spare , because no matter how I try to research and study for the right one, they most likely all end up the same way.

Roberto DI Zerbi has parted ways with Brighton football club. This comes as a shock, there have been no talks of him leaving and out of no where he has left. This should suggest he has had some personal conversations with some other club, Bayern? Juventus? And he wants to give Brighton enough time to find a replacement before next season.

I believe this is a good thing for Di Zerbi. The sack may not be good for his resume, but in the grande scheme of things, getting let go by Brighton might seem like a good thing.
Di Zerbi is a good manager, contrary to popular beliefs, I don't think he's among the top young managers, but he's good and his time at Brighton has exposed him to the world. Now people have seen how good he is and how good his team plays, he struggled this season, but it doesn't mean he he's a bad manager. Since clubs have seen how good he is, he won't be without a club for a long time. He might even be opportune to coach a manage a team bigger than Brighton.

De Zerbi going to teams like Juventus or Bayern Munich won't happen, he's not there yet and I'd he goes there he will most likely underperform which would hurt his career so badly. He's good, but to me, he's not good enough to be in one of the top teams in Europe. I hope his management team can get a perfect job for his level so he can build himself.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: May 18, 2024, 06:14:55 PM
Real Madrid is also interested in Mbappe. If that happens, Barcelona must respond with force. They can't allow Real win La Liga. With Xavi in charge, significant changes are possible. Kimmich and Silva would give Barca the creativity and depth it needs. That middle would be a football symphony. I think Barcelona would benefit greatly from these signings

The problem is, I don't think Barcelona are ready to back Xavi in the transfer market. The kind of players they have their eyes on are not players that can strengthen their team to compete. Players like Kimmich and Silva are good and they won't be exceptional signing, but the million dollar question is, "Are Barcelona going to sign them". There are player that would be so happy to play for Barcelona like Nico Williams, Kimmich, Silva, but Barcelona has to be very persuasive and ready to fight their clubs to sign them.

Also, I feel Barcelona needs another top striker. Since they won't be relying on Vitor Roque then they have to either sell him or send him out on loan and get another striker. The problem is, they need a world class striker. They need somebody that can rival Lewandoski for his position, not just someone who would be number 2 to him.
If Barcelona signs Kimmich, Silva, Nico Williams and a good top striker, they might be okay.
Also, I see some Barcelona fans saying that Cancelo should be sent back, that would be a very bad decision. Cancelo is a good player, one of the best in his position, letting him go would be a bad idea.
A loan for Xavi Simon is also on the table, if I was Barcelona, I would take it with open arms.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: May 16, 2024, 09:01:17 PM
I think Girona's case next season will not be too different as Newcastle's case this season in the Premier League and also the Champions League. Girona is not a team that has a large spending budget to increase the depth of its squad next season, while several important players on loan will return to their original clubs. Girona will be faced with weak financial strength in this case, so I don't think they will really be able to maintain their form in La Liga or the Champions League.

Well, all things considered, Newcastle didn't perform too poorly in the champions league. I know they won only one match but I believe they were kind of unlucky too. The first time in decades that they'll be playing in the champions league they get grouped with PSG, Dortmund and Milan.
Girona needs to a lot in transfers before they can compete in the champions League. They don't have deep pockets but if they recruit rightly they might have a better team and they can still get some players on lone.
With the kind of form Girona is ending the season with, I doubt they'll be flying high next season, but I hope they make the right decisions because I want to see them competing.

For now, I'm waiting for Barcelona's match against Almeria. This is an important match for Barcelona to win so that they remain in second place above Girona.

Barcelona is currently winning, but not convincingly. I believe they'll finish the match with a win because they're already 2 goals up, but matches like this sums up the difference between Barcelona and Real Madrid this season. This is supposed to be a very easy win for Barcelona because Almeria has only won 2 out of 35 matches this season. Barcelona is another team that has a lot of work to do or else they might have two straight seasons without a trophy.
