121  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Open Source FPGA Bitcoin Miner (Smaller Devices Now Supported!) on: June 30, 2011, 04:14:53 PM
I've been trying to run this miner from repo under linux, but I have problems with TclUrl. I did not have it, so I downloaded it and compiled, but now I get:

ERROR: Can't load library: libTclCurl7.19.6.so. The operating system reports the following error: libTclCurl7.19.6.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

any hints on how to solve it?

Sounds to me as you try to use a 64bit  lib on a 32 bit linux.  For me, your aproach  works fine.

That was a good hint. I still don't understand it though. I'm on 64bit, I've compiled it and also tried debian 64bit binary, in both cases getting mentioned error. After your post I gave some 32bit binary a try (on my 64bit system), and it worked. And so the adventure begins Smiley It definitely needs some leds blinking Cool I was also wondering, do these chips have any built-in temperature sensor?

123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bitcoinity.org/markets - live mtgox & tradehill charts on: June 28, 2011, 04:22:39 AM
I've added some very basic mixed markets view: http://bitcoinity.org/markets?exchange=all
It required some internal changes so if anyone started experiencing some weird behaviors, please report.

When did you add the feature? Only Ive been getting data connectivity issues when refreshing the site for the last hour or 2? (I only have mtGox selected btw)

Under the link I gave. What do you mean by data connectivity issues? Mtgox is updating every 60s because it's API is not fully functional yet and that's the best resolution I can get. Or do you mean some other problem?

One thing I noticed, the 3 day and 7 day options make no sense. The time axis only shows about 28 or 30 hours instead of the 3/7 days. Judging from the scarcity of the trade bars, I guess it still processes the entire table, it just doesn't "shrink" it to the displayed size.

I guess you are looking at mtgox. Mtgox only has data for about 30 hours during last 7 days. For tradehill these should look better.

Just a small request - any chance we can get the '10m, 1h, 12h, etc' view selection highlighted so we know which view we are looking at at a glance?

And my laptop isn't really new but chrome is using some 30% cpu when the page is open. It would be great if you could optimize that.

I've worked on this first because I thought that may be really annoying. Do you see any improvement after refreshing page?

Also I've added donation address in the footer.

Morel improvements are on their way.
128  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Botnets are to Bitcoin, what GPUs were to Bitcoin 9 months ago on: June 27, 2011, 03:59:45 PM
Botnets were discussed so many times before on this forums. Conclusion: they are not really useful for mining. People did math. For details, use the search function.

She's a looker!

Are the buy and sell values switched around for Tradehill, though?

I don't think they are. But I've noticed that before, sometimes tradehill ticker does this. I don't know how their system may be constructed to allow this.

Thanks for all replies. I haven't set up proper monitoring yet and soon after I went to sleep pushing process died :/ It's fixed now, and you shouldn't need to refresh it. If live updates are not working in your browser, let me know (just remember trades are not happening sometimes even for a few minutes).

  • * multiple markets an the single graph coming soon
  • * and so is bitomat with PLN, EUR for bitmarket and britcoin if I get my hands on their API
  • * indeed weird things may be happening having two exchanges opened in two tabs currently (especially when changing displayed timespan after opening it) - before I get to that I'll try to add this mixed view so maybe there won't be need for this
  • * shading on the chart is how market depth looked previously (10 minutes ago)
  • * about internet explorer: maybe you had it while live updates were down, it could be causing such error, I've just opened it in IE9, and it works ok. But in general, to be honest, supporting IE is a low priority for me (but please tell if it's working now)

Some errors you may have been seeing could be caused by the fact that part of my backend was down. So if you still experience any difficulties please report.

133  Economy / Trading Discussion / bitcoinity.org/markets - live bitcoin price charts on: June 26, 2011, 09:40:19 PM
mtgox: http://bitcoinity.org/markets?exchange=mtgox (a bit laggy while their API is still not fully functional)
tradehill: http://bitcoinity.org/markets?exchange=tradehill

I just wanted to create some thread to collect feedback.
Ideas or problem reports are welcome.

Basically I just created it to have some live ticker on my unused 15" LCD (so it's kinda optimized for 1024x768 full screen), but since some poeple started using it, I'm developing it a bit more. More features coming soon.

134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend got 60 extra BTC from his Mt Gox account and insists it is not theft. on: June 26, 2011, 12:46:25 PM
I don't know if that was your friend or you, doesn't matter. But I hope you do realize that giving quite exact info about balances narrows it down to very few accounts.
135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mt Gox TO Euro Bank Account - Longest Waiting on: June 22, 2011, 11:14:21 AM
I just received first wire - the one I was talking about form 10th June.

Also I've got some info from MT, that these SEPA transfers are going through some french bank which was doing some detailed controls lately which were slowing it down a lot.

Why post this on the forums, your just going to encourage more miners. Sad

These miners are working for your money security.
139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mt Gox TO Euro Bank Account - Longest Waiting on: June 17, 2011, 11:26:48 AM
I'm currently waiting since 10 June 2011. I guess it also depends on the receiving bank.
