121  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: May 27, 2024, 10:28:54 PM
But OgNasty, how will you know if one is completely doing the challenge here? I'm starting from tomorrow but how do you know I'm keeping up with your challenge.

I don't care if people keep up with the challenge or not.  I only care about letting them know it's going on so that they too can become stronger individuals.  If you want to fake that you are participating, I'm fine with that.  You are only depriving yourself and with faking it maybe you'll inspire someone else in the process, so I still see it as a positive.
Yeah, it's about personal life so whether one fakes it or not it's really no big deal. For me I'm in to the challenge because I already had intention of building my body so this is just one big opportunity.

It's a win- win process. If I participate I win.

You are absolutely right most people might fake it but just like you said it is personal decision.. it is not compulsory that everybody must do it but I think it is really good for the body most especially for the youth cause it helps keep one fit and agile. If old men can be walking out in my street then who am I, me that my blood is still flowing well. To me I don't intend doing it till Bitcoin hit $100k cause we don't know when it is going to hit that amount but we are hoping it hit it soon, let assume it take Bitcoin 5 years to hit that amount, won't you get tired of the push up before then... Unless you will be doing it once a week or twice though it will still be somehow.
122  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: May 27, 2024, 10:07:23 PM
[edited out]
In a simple word Trading is exhausting, and requires more energy compared when you just accumulate according to your DCA plan which is very relieving and free from losses that might be incurred when you Trade. I also say do we care about trading an asset when we can accumulate and have it in our position. This can't be overstressed as it a matter of choice which we know that every decision has a consequence wether good or bad.

I only would consider selling to buy back Bitcoin to be valid, when such investor musy have been present in the market for at least a full cycle to see how far his investment has gone, of which such investor must have a good stash of Bitcoin and has reach a certain maturity stage whereby he isn't joking around his portfolio but not a beginner or one who accumulation journey and portfolio is still below average ( best word I can use) that's same thing as chasing short term gains because you are just crashing your accumulation journey.

Selling to buy back is reinvestment in Bitcoin which isn't the right phase for anyone who don't have a good stash of Bitcoin or still in early phase of accumulation, you will surely get wrecked if you do.

It is likely that several of us will have variations of differing perspectives regarding how to consider the selling of bitcoin with the potential of buying back at lower prices.

My own personal perspective is that if you are selling your bitcoin with the expectation of buying back cheaper, then you have the wrong ideas about the whole matter - in other words, once you get to a sufficiently large enough bitcoin stash, you should be able to consider any BTC sells  that you make to be "extra bitcoin" that you do not really need, so in that regard, you sell them without any expectations of being able to buy back, and yeah sure if the BTC price ends up dropping, then you can use the money that you generated from the sales of BTC to buy back BTC.. so also the selling of BTC on the way up could be like an insurance policy, but you are not selling a large enough quantity of your BTC that you are going to feel that you no longer have enough or that you need more, so maybe when you buy back if the BTC price drops, you are largely just replacing the ones that you bought and the size of your BTC stash might not be changing very much.. since you have to take into account transaction fees and also tax ramifications that can vary between jurisdictions.

So yeah.. I am thinking that your level of experience and the fact that you got through a whole cycle does not justify your selling of BTC as much as your ability to calculate the size of your stash in terms of either having enough or more than enough. .and surely there are various tools that you can create for yourself in order to consider these kinds of matters, including some kind of a raking system that makes sense to your own personal circumstances.

I don't know if this is your strategy but I think the strategy is very nice cause it will help one to still be somehow grounded in their investment. In as much as it is good to invest when the price is low that doesn't mean that we should sell all our Bitcoin when it skyrocket though that's what most people are practicing but I have come to realize that it's not  advisable to sell all your Bitcoin and then wait for a drop or dip to invest again, this can make one lose balance and sometimes you may even short or use some of the money earned from selling your coin and this will really affect your investment plan that's why it is good to sell some and not all the coin in case of necessity.
123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: May 27, 2024, 09:25:19 PM
We all know that bitcoin is volatile in nature and what will all do, it's like prediction that's after our analysis we take a decision which sometime will happen the way we wanted it to and sometime it doesn't happen. Anyone who invested in bitcoin will always want or wish for it to skyrocket but it's not our expectations that is controlling it.

You sound like someone who is focused on trading because actually I see no reason why you would want to analyzed the market before you can start investing, however considering the fact that you seem very new in terms of investment you should focus on how you can accumulate Bitcoin and hold because in terms of holding you don't need any technical analysis or prediction to determine your investment plan since the goal will be for holding and also I wouldn't advise you to focus on trading because is a big risk and there is a big chance you could blow your investment portfolio.

However one thing you most understand is that with the potential of Bitcoin it will surely move very high even if it take some time, perhaps that's why holders shouldn't think about any analysis before investing on Bitcoin because no matter the price you started accumulating in the future it will worth it.

Thank you for letting me know that it is better to  accumulate and hold Bitcoin than to trade and I understand now that Bitcoin require little or no analysis since it is something that will skyrocket no matter the drop or dip. I have been doing and thinking more of trading that is why it have been so difficult for me. Morever, I understand that trading will be very risky for me since it is a short term something and if it doesn't work out well for me it will be so frustrating.
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Buy Buy or Sell Sell Sell? on: May 27, 2024, 07:39:56 PM
If someone buy a coin at a certain rate and after which the coin drops, that's shouldn't bother you though it depends on the coin you bought cause if it is a shit or memecoin  then it is something to be worry about because most of those coin whenever they drop they don't appreciate easily and most will never appreciate again but if it is Bitcoin you invest in there's nothing to worry about cause even if it drops it will definitely appreciate. However, when buying shit or memecoin you ought to be very careful before you dive into it cause it can be annoying at times and sometimes sweet when your analysis is being done correctly.
125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: May 27, 2024, 07:08:35 PM
Buying in the dip is pretty cool cause that's the point where most people without enough funds always use to invest but sometimes it is not necessary to wait till dip period before investing cause after dip sometimes it will still continue to dip the more untill it then skyrocket. One thing I love about investing in  Bitcoin is that no matter the dip it will still appreciate and put smiles on someone's face.
126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be confused, bitcoin halving doesn't translate into bitcoin All time high on: May 27, 2024, 09:39:18 AM
Recently, there have been alot of discussions around bitcoin halving and what the expectations will be as regards to the value of bitcoin, and is no longer News that bitcoin reached the blockseize for halving cycle over the last 24 hours, and significantly speaking there have not been any sign of bitcoin price increase which is not expected anytime soon.
Main purpose for this thread is to set the record straight for newbies
Never get is twisted bitcoin halving is not an auto mode for bitcoin price increase and no one should expect anything out of the ordinary for bitcoin just because the network just recorded it new blockseize rewards, although bitcoin halving have always been speculated to birth new all time high, but it is not 100% certain that we must achieve such ATH each time there is a halving cycle, at least reading through history have proven that already.
My advice
Don't buy bitcoin because you assume that bitcoin price will skyrocket after bitcoin halving, that is a wrong mentality that could lead to depressing results if that failed to happen.

Well this is more like an argument now, I don't really know what to believe anymore. First I use to hear after halving there's going to be a bull run but now I seeing a thread that is saying that after having that the bull run is not 100% sure so I am wondering which should I believe because I am really confused right now, but I am just having this feeling that since bitcoin is volatile in nature we shouldn't only expect it to take a bull run after halving or bear but we should expect anything because of it nature.

You have just said my mind because I don't know what is meant to happen again after Bitcoin halving because I have seen two different idea concerning this halving but whatsoever may be this case, we should just be careful while investing. We should know that anything can happen because we are dealing on volatile something and people with high strategy.
127  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Make people no dey conclude for waiting them no know about on: May 27, 2024, 09:07:28 AM
In as much as you are benefiting from Bitcoin, I don't think it really matter what most people say about it. I don't know which part of the country you from because in my own area or side people don't call Bitcoin scam, in fact they just want to hear you say Bitcoin all the time because it's a big name and they know and they don hear how people dey take turn big men and big women by just investing in it. People in my area are always eager to learn about it though most of them don't actually know the risk involve but they believe say them go make am if they go see person wey go put them through, there are so many people out there that are looking for who to put them through on Bitcoin because they know the worth. Op, just like I said earlier I don't know the part of the country you are from I mean, who will still be saying that Bitcoin is a scam in Naija heh, I will say that person is a primitive or dark age person or maybe someone who just probably want to discourage others or someone who has lost money because of his ignorant, in fact even most dark age person won't say Bitcoin is a scam anymore because of how popular it has become.
128  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The increase of altcoins on: May 27, 2024, 08:41:50 AM
Well just like most person have answered so far, I will like to add small thing. First to start with Etherum is not only the rising coin or the only coin that have appreciated in its value, BNB has also been appreciating in its value though the way Etherum come dey skyrocket this period no easy and e go good if person invest on am but the reason why me I no go like invest for Etherum na because of their Gas fee, Etherum charge is too much compare to BNB and Bitcoin and secondly, Etherum transaction sometimes dey
always take time. However, if you go fit bear with these Etherum characteristics or features you fit invest.
129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I almost become a millionaire on: May 25, 2024, 07:42:06 PM
In the year 2010,my best friend introduce me to cryptocurrency and he advice me to invest in bitcoin. I felt bitcoin was another ponzi scheme created by scammers to scam innocent people. Today my friend is a multi Millionaire. If only I had listened to his advice,I would have become a millionaire by now.

Sometimes in life things happen for a reason and I am very sure that this particular one happen for a reason though I may not know the reason but I am sure it is for a reason and again even if you invested back then just like they replied above you wouldn't have waited till now because you would've been so eager to sell it and back then people don't like investment stufffs most especially Bitcoin, they see it as a fraud and they also see it as something that is not legit so somehow you are not to be blamed.
130  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Make you no leave very small Satoshi, for wallet during bear run. on: May 25, 2024, 07:13:47 PM
Op, sorry to say, you come dey talk like say you be newbie I never still understand how coin  wey person keep for wallet go disappear if na newbie talk this kind thing i go understand but snr member like you no suppose talk this kind thing though everybody still dey learn but this one na the basic thing wey person suppose don learn or know. Well just like dey don answer you, coin will never and can never disappear no matter the dip rather e go just dey below waiting been dey your wallet that is to say that e no go get value but once the coin begin to pump you go see say the value go begin they come out again, na em be the volatility for you, you no gats fear.
131  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My model of an ideal investment portfolio on: May 25, 2024, 06:42:56 PM
Building a good investment portfolio is one key area I've come to learn of its importance and in building a good portfolio, the decision to diversify your investment option into different sectors is Always key and from what I've read both on the forum and off the forum, it seems the concept of diversification of your portfolio tend to tilt more to investing into Bitcoin and altcoin which somehow appears a bit one sided as i feel that building a good and ideal portfolio should cover not just the digital sectors but should necessarily touch other aspect of our lives.

So I'm led to share how I intend building what I termed "my ideal investment portfolio" and I hope I can get some contributions and criticism if it's necessary to possibly help me make informed decision.

So here's my Ideal investment portfolio
1 To invest in my craft: I believe this should be the most important investment I should make and it involves ensuring that I'm updated in my skillset and that I get the relevant certification that will keep me relevant in my carrier.
2.To Invest in my proposed tech academy for kids  : This has been a long dream that's still lingering due to finance but I'm working and hoping to build a tech academy for kids in my locality since it seems they are interested in it but aren't previledged to have tech firms that's nearby the locality. I intend HODling my Bitcoin for possibly one circle and then use the proceeds to invest into this projects as it's bent on helping the kids and teenagers in my locality to becoming technologically inclined.
3. To Invest in Bitcoin   : I'm cureent DCAing to stack up a good chunk of Bitcoin which will help achieve part of my tech academy project and also serve as part of my diversified investment option.
4: invest in people    : this obviously is one area I can't ignore seeing that I'm a beneficiary of the investment someone made in me that has built me this far. I believe that investing in people can give greater returns than most of the investment option we have here and there and that's what my proposed tech academy for the kids and teenagers hopes to do.
5. To do long term Investment in Bitcoin and real estate   : once my four year investment plan becomes a success, I believe it's best to now focus more on building a Bitcoin stack for the long run that will serve my retirement needs and also venture into real estate which seams to be a good retirement plan outside of the decentralized financial system.

This is my personal plan on how best diversification of my portfolio can work well for me and I'm open to any impute and recommendations regarding this.

Sir @JayJuanGee seems to be too good on this kind of analysis and I would have loved to see his impute here.

This is really amazing I mean you have a great plan there but the thing is fulfilling your plan after you have gotten all it takes to start up the plan because I have seen people with this kind of idea and plan but when they were fortunate to establish what they have been saying for years it was a like a problem and a waste time for them. However, let me hope and believe you won't be like those who said and didn't make it reality when the time came. If you are able to fulfill or establish this your plan, not only the people you have helped will thank you but almost everybody in that locality and they will never forget what you have done for them because you have invested so much on them even more then can imagine and remember a good name is better to be called  someone.

Good luck to your dreams mate.
132  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Tradding Vs Saving, which is the safest way to build crypto holdings on: May 25, 2024, 06:20:27 PM
In addition to what everyone have said so far, I think the best or safest way to build crypto is to accumulate Bitcoin and then hold it and remember you can't lose your coin but it may sometimes take long time to skyrocket but I think trading is the fastest way to build your crypto or make money depending on how good you are and it is also very risky because you can make loss at any given time, so the two have there advantage and disadvantage but if you don't want to make loss while building your crypto I think you should go for Bitcoin accumulation but if you want to build your crypto very fast I will suggest you go for trading.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: May 24, 2024, 10:53:11 AM
From the first question you ask if I didn't cash out and the game cut i will be so restless and aggressive even though it wasn't anyone's fault but mine. But the thing is sometimes it is very difficult to do it sometimes it can be seen as greed but not all the time reason because you have something pressing to do with money if it played finished. My second year in school I was unfortunate to pay my fees early till exam was approaching and I had no means so I now played a bet with 100 naira to win 72k and my school fees was 70k and everything was entering and they showed me cash out of 22k and it was remaining 10 minutes for the games to be over and all is playing well, at that point in time I wasn't reasoning the 22k I was looking at the potential winning with the happiness that am going to pay my fees only for me to see that my game i played to win has closed I was so disapointed and frustrated in this case I didn't see it as a greed and if you where in my shoes I am sure you wouldn't have cash out either because I have something pressing to do with the money and then my school has a policy that NO school fee NO exam. But if I don't have any pressing issue and i played with 3k to 20m and I saw cash out of 1.5m bro I will rush and cash out ooo.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it proper for younger ones to gamble? on: May 24, 2024, 10:32:04 AM
Because nowadays the younger ones take gambling more seriously then school. Yesterday i got back home early so I decided to step out and go to a betting shop to catch some fun while gambling, I saw two teenagers gambling with their school uniforms on them.

I asked someone besides me why did they allow this boy's to come in with their uniforms and gamble, he said did they put any restrictions that younger ones are not allowed to gamble. I said but it's not normal, I replied him what if this are your kids would you be happy seeing them gambling with their uniforms on them. So what do you guys think about this situation at hand now.

It is very made known to everyone that under 18 is not allowed to gamble but nowadays the way children are growing you can't really tell if they are under age or not and to me the restriction age is very okay but there are some people who is below that age but they can control themselves and gamble responsibly more than some people that are above 18. The way children are growing nowadays I don't think they should still be using this +18 though just like they have reply there are country that don't take it serious like Nigeria. If I may ask those children who entered bet office with their school uniform, are they under age if yes the manager should be hold responsible for anything that happens but if they are above no one should be  hold responsible because they know what is right and wrong.
135  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Life of Bitcoin Enthusiast on: May 23, 2024, 08:06:54 AM
This one na every ambitious person pray to celebrate his sleepless and restless days in time coming. I know say many people dey try but waiting no gree no gree, sometimes they go invest finish waiting for your investment to progress na that time you come dey see problem here  and there, and most of these palava na something to settle with money and e dey worry investment and sometimes no be say you no get any other thing wey dey give you money but at that point in time that particular thing wey dey give you money outside your investment no go  do well at that instant so there won't be any choice than to go an touch your investment and most of this problem no dey ordinary but some people no know.
136  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Undergoing of wider Crypto adoptors in our society. on: May 23, 2024, 07:38:35 AM
That's quite interesting though, but next time you see her try and explain to her the risk in crypto and how she can go about it without being scammed because she's still a newbie can be easily carried out by what she will. just like i said in my previous post scam sometimes is like accident because you may not expect it or see it coming. I don't think it is necessary to be telling people you are into crypto I mean it's pointless unless you are in conversation with someone and maybe stuff like that came up and most people that are into crypto their appearance and the way they do things will tell you.
137  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Scam ads on Bitget on: May 23, 2024, 07:16:03 AM
This one na pure daylight scam 6k loss for this kind harsh weather wey people eye dey red for money well in addition to what Obim34 said, I think it's our government that is causing all these nonsense and most of these exchange are /is fully aware of what our government is doing and since the aim of those exchange is to make money they are now using what our government is doing to play with our intelligence . Morever, it is very important for an exchange to maintain their integrity even if they are at advantage to dupe or scam people but failure to abstain from it will result to loss of customers and fame they have before.
138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I don't hold BTC for ATH on: May 23, 2024, 06:47:12 AM
I don't hold btc BTC for ATH I just hold it as a wealth and true decentralized blockchian platform,
Nothings happen if btc bull run coming or not, Because I always believe that btc is a digital wealth and public power decentralized system ATH or Bull run is not important for me.

I may not know your reason why you don't hold Bitcoin during all time high (ATH) and why you don't care about bull run, if i may ask have you being doing it before, has it favored you, if it has then no problem but bull run and ATH are period most people pull out their money and then after dip they invest again. Morever, what you just said I don't know what strategy is that though everybody has there own strategy but there are some strategy that are boring and risky.
139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How active can a newbie be daily? on: May 23, 2024, 06:29:43 AM
I greet you all
You know when you come to a forum like this you need to first know the do's and the don'ts, the rules and regulations, and most especially how to grow, in life we all want growth to some certain extent the same thing applies to this forum, I ask most of my friends here how can a newbie grow on this forum, they all keep saying, if you want to grow you need to be active on the forum,

My question is what does it mean to be active on the forum,
How many quality Posts can someone make daily before he or she can be considered active on this forum, sorry I ask a lot of questions so u can learn too.

I think this question has been ask several times and answers has been given to it anyway this is beginners and help board. However, being active on the forum won't determine your growth here because you can be active and yet doing other things that are not relevant or things that won't help you grow so being active doesn't guarantee your growth unless whenever you are active you always read threads thoroughly and carefully only then can you grow and for the number post a newbie will make, in addition to what they have said so far there is no limit to a post newbie is suppose to make, they can make as many as possible.
140  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can i make some coins that wort something? ??? on: May 22, 2024, 08:57:54 PM
Well I don't think being a newbie will limit you from earning something like coins and you earning something depend  on how fast you can assimilate or understand that particular thing. Just calm down and learn don't always be in a hast before you run into trouble. Morever just like some of my colleague said, you can do airdrop to get coin if you don't have money to buy coin but before you do all these try to have a basic understanding of how it works.
