121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: June 28, 2020, 09:37:05 PM
We are close to finding the cure for the coronavirus. China has already received the go-ahead for testing its large-scale phase 3 vaccine in the UAE.
Which shows good hope for overcoming this pandemic.
While so many of us must settle for games without fans. Until the final cure arrives.

I hope we really are. It will still take some time even the vaccine was invented or found. The release of the vaccine to other countries might take a while but I do hope that we can find quickly the vaccine. I am so excited to watch a game again and bet on it. We should be seeing the playoffs now of NBA, that virus is really annoying.

A vaccine can really take a lot of time, in particular testing it. But I'm not sure that we have this time.
The virus is not static, it is able to mutate, which means that while the vaccine is being prepared, there is a danger of a new strain of the virus, which will lead to the need to develop a new vaccine.
The question is whether we had enough of that time while restrictive measures continued to create a full-fledged medicine.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FOX prepared to add virtual fans and crowd noise to NFL broadcasts on: June 28, 2020, 07:26:27 PM
It will give some confidence to the players but not the same level as it was when the stadium is filled with the audience. And it needs lot of work and money to bring the same feel as people present in the stadium and all these things have to be done for no profits, then I doubt this kind of module will be implemented on every sport to tackle covid 19.

I can understand if they’ll introduce it into broadcast matches from TV screens to increase the interest of the audience, but I don’t understand what is the point of introducing this directly into the matches themselves. After all, someone will have to sit and press buttons for various gaming moments, thereby creating artificial noise. Obviously, the AI will not cope with this, which means that the role of the "crowd" will be played by one or a group of people. This is comparable to the artificial applause played from a tape recorder.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: June 28, 2020, 06:30:36 PM
Sometimes providing too many bonuses especially for new players aren't that effective. Some players are abusing the system as they are creating too many accounts though it could still be avoided by implementing IP restrictions for one account. I think gambling sites should focus on developing their games in such a case that players will not be bored in long term playing because welcome bonuses are only good at the start and if the gambling site doesn't really care for long term, these players will switch to another site.

I don’t think that limiting the IP address can solve such problems, given that we live in the age of VPN.
I don’t see any particular problems with the fact that people abuse bonuses, because every time they have to make a new deposit and subsequently wager the bonus, which will make them linger on the platform for some time. However, this signals that it is necessary to make such types of bonuses so that the client does not have to create new accounts to receive it.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker games that are providing free plays to earn real money on: June 24, 2020, 08:13:30 PM
You can spend some time watching a move or to play free roll poker and earn some money, it's maybe little, but it's something.
I don't like to underestimate any kind of profit, it's better to earn something then nothing.
I agree with Findingnemo, it's fine if someone likes to do it. We all think different, and is it collecting satoshis, or learning to play
poker for free, each of us have some incentive why we do it, or it can be a combination. What's is matter is that we enjoy doing that.
Yes it can be used for learning purpose but if you wanted to play poker with free money then it won't bring the real game inside you because you are not spending your money so you won't play the game to win.

Poker is a money game. I tried to play chips - no pleasure. No drive, no excitement, no fear of losing. Even playing at small bets you feel a whole range of thrills that gives the game a special taste.
Chips can be scattered endlessly even without looking at your cards. Real poker only appears when playing for real money.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: June 24, 2020, 08:00:59 PM
I like the welcome bonus on especially large amounts. For example, in order to save the client for as long as possible, I would set a big bonus on the first deposit, but I would have to wager it for a long time.
In addition, I would add additional bonuses for each subsequent deposit. As a result, a situation will often occur in which the client has bonus money, but for them to win back he will need real money, which means new deposits. Cashback, by the way, is very attractive for any kind of customers, in any form.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Am I wrong or right share your opinion please on: June 24, 2020, 07:58:37 PM
I would like to see more specifics. If a mistake was made, then in the interests of the platform in its correction and satisfaction of your needs. After all, this is an accident, which means, ceteris paribus, you could easily cash out funds. Any self-respecting casino will do so that it would be good for the client, regardless of the situation, except for those where the client was caught cheating.

128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is bitcoin not anonymous? on: June 01, 2020, 10:56:00 PM
You can't be anonymous if using are using centralized exchanges which request for your documents for verification of KYC to buy and sell bitcoin.
Luckily, there are many more (and anonymous) ways of buying bitcoin. Exchanges are just a service; same than youtube, netflix or a bank. They are not something that comes with the network per se

Nevertheless, the exchange (third party) will know who owns the purchased bitcoins if the identification procedure has been passed.
So this data can fall into the wrong hands by selling data by the exchange or hacking it by hackers, for example.
Others, we are to some extent dependent on third parties, which is not acceptable in cryptocurrency, in my opinion.
129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is bitcoin not anonymous? on: June 01, 2020, 09:55:29 PM
FIRST

Its Satoshi Nakamoto, not Satashi Nakamata.

SECOND

You're wrong. The creator of Bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto never said that Bitcoin is an anonymous currency.
That's what he says about privacy in  bitcoin's white paper:
Quote
The necessity to announce all transactions publiclyprecludes this method, but privacy can still be maintained by breaking the flow of information inanother place: by keeping public keys anonymous.
The public can see that someone is sendingan amount to someone else, but without information linking the transaction to anyone.   This issimilar   to   the   level   of   information   released   by   stock   exchanges,   where   the   time   and   size   ofindividual trades, the "tape", is made public, but without telling who the parties were.

So long on the forum and do not know such simple things.  Huh
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Extra weeks added to bounty campaign on: May 28, 2020, 09:32:59 PM
Alas, there are many precedents when a company was extended up to one year and as a result, payments were tiny.
Unfortunately, one cannot predict what outcome awaits you.

However, the following can be said. If the project extends the Bounty company, then the project has problems with raising funds,
and if the project has problems with raising funds at the initial stage, it is not known what will happen to it in the future.

Maybe it won’t collect anything at all.
Therefore, first of all, be interested in how much the project raised funds and ask for evidence.

131  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Poll - How did you find out about Bitcointalk? on: May 28, 2020, 08:07:11 PM
In my case, this happened back in 2014. At that time, I just started doing mining and did not really know anything about bitcointalk .
However, when I encountered a problem with my GUIminer on the mining.bitcoin.cz I began to look for a solution that brought me to bitcointalk to "mining support" branch.
As it often happens, I found not only a solution, but also a whole community that helped me dive deeper into the world of bitcoin and mining, as well as find answers to the most difficult tasks.
And to this I am infinitely grateful. Roll Eyes

133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which projects do you hold? Which ones do you believe in? on: May 25, 2020, 10:25:15 PM
Bitcoin and fiat. I bought part of the BTC at levels of 6400, but about 60% of my deposit is now in stable coins.
The current situation is too ambiguous, I fear that, against the backdrop of the financial crisis, we may face a severe recession.
I want to have funds for additional reinvestment in the case of this scenario.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins is helping during the lockdown on: May 07, 2020, 03:54:27 PM
Bitcoin is really a save haven and this pandemic has proved that. In has been the one I have been using in term of assistance since all banks are closed. We are in an era of financial freedom.

Whether this is true or not, we can only see when we look back when all this disaster ends. At the moment, Bitcoin is showing positive changes and really looks like one of the most sustainable assets.
But this is only at first glance. In the past, we saw how this stability fell before our eyes for several months. Therefore, it is impossible to say unequivocally that bitcoin now, for example, is better than gold, the price of which is also growing.

136  Economy / Economics / Re: China’s second corona wave can it crush it’s economy? on: April 24, 2020, 08:17:33 PM
if the cause are same , i think the overcome for it will be easier , and if "lockdown" really needed will be in short time / shorter than the first one . also i guess china have made the vaccine itself

It must be remembered that the incubation period of the virus is 2 weeks or more.
Repeated waves will be stretched in time and will depend on the number of people who managed to make contact with the infected and spread the virus further.
The virus has a surprisingly large incubation period, which is alarming.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Sad News]: Nigerian shot dead after resisting robbers access to crypto phone on: April 20, 2020, 04:54:12 PM
This can happen in almost any country. I heard stories of masked people at gunpoint causing one trader to give them a large amount in bitcoins, as well as stories of torture in order to gain access to cryptocurrency.
If you are an ordinary person, do not pretend that you have a cryptocurrency. If this has already happened, create a fake backup of the keys to the wallets on which you will store an extremely small amount for robbers.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We'll know Satoshi Nakamoto when the time comes on: April 19, 2020, 01:56:56 PM
I was always surprised by the fact that when law enforcement agencies award a reward for certain information about a crime or finding a missing child there is a huge number of people reporting deliberately false information. What for? Is everything alright with these people? Do they all have mental problems? These are not tens, but thousands of people trying to attract attention in such an idiotic way. I think the same thing here.
If you could anonymously declare that you are Satoshi, there would be thousands of them.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Education on: April 19, 2020, 01:54:35 PM
People themselves must be able to get the information they need, at school they only need to teach this.
The school should give a general understanding of what exists in the world, while the man is obliged to decide which of all this he wants and will study.
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins is helping during the lockdown on: April 19, 2020, 01:27:57 PM
Pretty instructive story. Anyone can make simple calculations. If he invested a very small amount in bitcoin several years ago, and did not touch it for a long time, he would have won a thousandfold.
Who said that this cannot happen again in the future?
Now more than ever people see the inconsistency of current financial systems, while Bitcoin remains in place.
