121  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: September 24, 2015, 07:41:43 PM

did you turn pot from +  12 oclock   to 1 oclock   some sticks (I have 20)  want a touch more power.
if the + is at 1 oclock move to 2 oclock
if the + is at 2 oclock move to 3 oclock

the turn is clockwise

Thanks, this worked perfectly for me.

I'm currently running 3 Compaq sticks and a USB RBox on BFG Miner and I'm stable.  I just can't try to run any U1 or U2's on the same computer running the Compaq's as the U1 and U2 are seen as CBM instead of RMU as they were in previous versions of BFG.
123  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: September 22, 2015, 03:39:20 PM
I only have 3 Compaq stick miners.  I have 1 stick that throws a lot more errors than the other 2. It doesn't matter if I run them direct from the PC in a hub or if I run the one unit solo, it still throws a lot of errors.  I've tried different computers and 2 different hubs and I'm running BFGMIner with:

bfgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u 1JiWuyX94wrCr7JhkAn7x5qNMCEef1KhqX.bmoscatosticks -p x -S rockminer:all --set rockminer:clock=280 --set compac:clock=x0b83 --api-listen --api-allow W:10.0.0/24

The compac's look pretty good look at the percentage it is not big.   If you compare to the U3 it appears is on with it the U3 is most of your errors.

But .04 percent should not considered "a lot more".  You should be good.

I guess I should've added that the stick in question has actually crashed once after running for 2 days straight.

Any updates Novak on recompiling your cgminer build to work alongside some regular U2 sticks? I got a bunch laying around now I guess I could build another pi just to run the old legacy miners but I have that 1 stick that won't play well with my others so I was going to put it with my old U2's

I know that BFG Miner doesn't work with both U2 and Compaq at the same time, it sees the U1 and U2 as Compaqs.

Hey Mike,

How long did you let BFGMiner run?  It seems like I need almost 10 minutes before my hardware normalizes from the hardware errors when I'm hashing against CKPool.

This is with taking the antminer settings out:

Luke,

I've asked this a few time, for some reason, my U1's and U2's display as CMB instead of AMU.  Yesterday I received 3 Compaq's from SIDEHACK and they work fine on a PC with just the Compaq's and RockMiners, once I add the code for the Antminers, the Compaq's run at 2Gh/s instead of the 10 that they normally run at.  If you see by batch file, I'm starting rockminer, antminer and compaq's:

bfgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u 14LxDWtRRdQAbnJdd4Ew5jwag8Bx9UfNRd -p x -S rockminer:all --set rockminer:clock=270 -S antminer:all --set-device antminer:clock=x0881 --set compac:clock=x0b83 --api-listen --api-allow W:10.0.0/24

I'm only running at 150 MHz, but at least one is ringing. I'll try tomorrow on a different hub to see if there's an issue with power.
136  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: September 17, 2015, 11:38:03 PM
too fast bro  . give me 1 min

change  sticks to this:

bfgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u 14LxDWtRRdQAbnJdd4Ew5jwag8Bx9UfNRd.1 -p x --set compac:clock=x0b83

then  http://solo.ckpool.org/workers/14LxDWtRRdQAbnJdd4Ew5jwag8Bx9UfNRd.1

gives you just the sticks

looks like you just started it

then set the u2's to this

http://solo.ckpool.org/workers/14LxDWtRRdQAbnJdd4Ew5jwag8Bx9UfNRd.2

and the master address to this for grand total

http://solo.ckpool.org/users/14LxDWtRRdQAbnJdd4Ew5jwag8Bx9UfNRd

Thanks, after restarting with the new link it seems to have normalized my reported hashing.

http://solo.ckpool.org/workers/14LxDWtRRdQAbnJdd4Ew5jwag8Bx9UfNRd.compaq

I have to ask, I have really bad tinnitus (ringing in the ears) from doing time over in the sandpit... is it me or do these compaq's sometimes have a high pitch coming out of them?

I'm running 3 sticks with BFGMiner, what's weird is that my 5 second average and all time is clocking at about 40GBs, but I only have them running at 150MHz with:

bfgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u -p x --set compac:clock=x0b83

This is a cool idea.
140  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER U3 Discussion and Support Thread on: September 17, 2015, 01:10:31 AM

When you are having to restart is it just restarting the cgminer?  Or do you physically have to power the U3's?

I'm hoping the first if so I might be able to write a batch file for it.  If have to physically power the U3's the batch file would do no good.

You have to physically de-power the U3 (both usb and 12V).  Unplug, count to 5, plug back in.  Sometime I had to do that more than once to get them going again.
This is not the case for me. I just have to unplug and replug the usb port only. Someone in this thread mentioned disabling the usb port with a script via the OS then re-enabling it.

Again, a batch file is a work around for bad hardware.
