Government and other criminal gangs.  Just thought was interesting for informational purposes.

The government has far more effective ways of brainwashing.
The media is one of them.  Wink
122  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mother jailed after son drowned as she checked Facebook on: October 11, 2015, 03:32:41 AM
Very good judgement. How careless she can be!!  Shame on her!!

She sounds addicted to Facebook or her phone IMHO.

People today usually have at least one full blown addiction, but tend to ignore them. It's not healthy to be addicted to anything.

Her prior record of letting her son play on the road, and narrowly miss getting hit by a car, also seem to have gone against her.
She just doesn't seem to have learned at all.
123  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin reach 500 USD again ? on: October 11, 2015, 03:31:03 AM
...and why do you think so ?

I voted end of 2016, well I think it will be the run up to the end of 2016. My reasoning is because of the halving and hopefully if we don't get $500 it will reach fairly close to it on approach to the halving but who knows until it happens.

A lot of people (including me) are betting on the halving giving a boost to the price.
Not long before we find out.  Smiley
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: We will break $200 again on: October 11, 2015, 03:29:38 AM
I dont think so... we dont see 200 again

Traders say that Bitcoin's true bottom did not reveal itself yet. This would mean that we would see it go under its low price collapse. I think the amount was 170 and it was dumped down to 150 quite a bit.

According to them, before that the price will never be truly reliable or can become stable. But who knows, maybe that 170 was the true botton. *shrug*
We have 2 big points, FBI auctions and BTC from Gox, if the price still upper 200$ we should see higher prices soon

FBI auctions until now have not had a negative impact on price.
The buyers usually have some long-term plans and don't dump the purchased coins immediately.
125  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Saudi Arabian employer accused of chopping off Indian maid’s hand on: October 11, 2015, 03:28:24 AM
I hate to say this. But more than 90% of the women working as maids in Saudi Arabia suffer rape and other forms of sexual violence, sometimes in full view of the female Arabs. It doesn't matter whether the woman is 15-years old or 70-years old. That is why in Sri Lanka, they sterilize the young women, before shipping them to Saudi Arabia.

I wouldn't support the Sri Lankan practice either.
If going to Saudi Arabia is akin to slavery, then don't go.
Poverty might be bad, but there is no point in subjecting yourself to a worse fate.
126  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mother jailed after son drowned as she checked Facebook on: October 10, 2015, 03:12:40 AM
She is 31 years old!
I expected the mother to be some teenager. If you are not ready to take the responsibility of having a kid, use protection.

Saudi Arabian employer accused of chopping off Indian maid’s hand

Is your employer displeased with your work? He might just decide to chop off your hand!

The same debate happened before the last Bitcoin halving in 2012 and nothing actually happened to the price. Of course back in 2012 Bitcoin was much less known to the general community.

You should qualify that statement saying nothing happened immediately.
The price now is a lot higher than what it was 4 years ago.
129  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: October 10, 2015, 03:03:52 AM
There's just no way to quit your job these days unless you hit some sort of jackpot and you have a very successful business. Posting in a forum profesionally is imposible due the low rates, you would need to post all day. If you could get something like 0.005 as a Legendary member then it maybe would be viable, other than that and it's just pointless.

Well if bitcoin becomes worth $1Mn, maybe you have hit the jackpot.  Wink
However, I doubt if somebody like me would quit their jobs. It varies from person to person.
130  Economy / Economics / Re: Good read on the future of the dollar on: October 09, 2015, 11:44:05 PM
If your prediction will become true there is no sense on it. If the us dollar collapse in the future there is now chance that it continue to be the main currency in international trade. Who will want one currency which is collapse or collapsing in continuation? One one stupid. Because using that money will lose from the collapse. Needed to use more money the next time of buying something in the same amount. There is no sense to do this.

Even if I believe the dollar might collapse, I can still continue to use the dollar as long as my exposure is hedged. Moreover, nobody expects the dollar to collapse overnight. It will be a slow decay.
131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the final US Marshals auction produce a pump, a dump, or a flat price? on: October 06, 2015, 03:40:42 PM
It will remove uncertainty.
So I guess the price will move up.
Nobody expects the coins to be lapped up and dumped at exchanges.
132  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is low volatility becoming a threat to Bitcoin? on: October 06, 2015, 03:34:16 PM
Just when we thought the low volatility was boring, Bitcoin has made a nice move up.
Prepare for more volatility in the coming days.  Smiley
133  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do you think there is gun violence in the USA? on: October 06, 2015, 03:24:11 PM
In other news, a 11 year old boy has shot dead an 8 year old girl, in the US state of Tennessee.
The apparent reason - a fight over a puppy.

yet another religion.

They all seem the same to me.  Wink
Religions could be scams but humanity is not ready to live without them, even so, there are lots of "sinners" killing, lying, stealing others, so imagine a world without some kind of rules.

Could be scams? You get negative trust if you try preaching here.  Wink
There might be "a few" sinners who go straight because of the fear of god, but think of all the wars religion has caused.

136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gentlemen, i think it's safe to say we're the new halving elite on: October 05, 2015, 11:14:57 PM
I do agree that this is best time to hold as after halving there will be huge increase in price of bitcoin.Bitcoin is on the way to be most previous and valuable digital currency of future.Halving of blocks will be one more step towards this goal.

the supply side has long been known.

but the demand side has been very hard to read. we have lots of market manipulation even by the very exchanges that help "set" the price as they trade in the market too. in the last few months the price has been in the $200-$300 range. I think this range is so large that it will not be possible to see any halving price effect even if there is one.  Tongue

Assuming demand side remains constant (big assumption), we can hope for some price increase close to the block reward halving.
137  Economy / Economics / Re: Good read on the future of the dollar on: October 05, 2015, 11:12:09 PM
Dollar is strong despite what people may think. It does not matter that China is the leading economy of the world now.
USD will be official currency of the stock markets and oil traders for years. Central bank of US and FRB won't let it fall so easily.

I agree that the private banks will do everything in their power to keep the dollar from crashing, including wars and the like... But the truth of the matter is, is that this currency, along with any fiat for that matter, can not last long with trillions of dollars in debt... It's simply not feasible. As for me, I'm looking into the best countries to move too in the next 5 years so I can get as far away as possible from this inevitable disaster.

You don't have to move.
Just move your assets.  Smiley
138  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Germany seizes private property to house muslim illegal immigrants on: October 04, 2015, 10:37:15 AM
This law is bound to needle people.
Although it applies only to vacant commercial property, and the owners will be adequately compensated, the state seizing property always creates heartburn. When it is for such a cause, there is bound to be resistance.
139  Other / Politics & Society / Re: HSBC has wrecked our lives, say customers frozen out and unable to switch on: October 04, 2015, 10:23:55 AM
Can't they sue the bank to release their funds?
If a court asks HSBC, they will be forced to provide an explanation and release the funds.

It is not that easy. Before applying to start your bank account, you have to sign an agreement in which HSBC states that it can freeze your accounts for any reason, which it does not have to explain. Also, if you sue them in the court, the litigation will go on for many years, causing financial loss as well as time loss for the petitioners.

Yes, we do sign agreements but courts can check whether these reasons are justified.
Are litigation delays common even in developed countries like UK? In such cases, companies are usually worried about bad press. But I don't think the bank will give a damn in this case, given the bad press that it already has.
