121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to handle tough times in cryptocurrency? on: August 31, 2018, 04:47:27 PM
I always have stop loss at the entry price to prevent a bad situation but if there's a situation where i forget to set it and i'm sitting on some loses, i will see if the price will go down much more or not, if yes then i will just cut losses and find another trading opportunity rather than holding for a really long time. It's better to use your money to trade something else rather than waiting for the coin to move up again in a bear market.
122  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you start trading? on: August 31, 2018, 04:28:58 PM
I start by reading a lot of basic stuff, i used to read investopedia a lot to learn about the basic thing and after i understand most of them, i start learning about TA and do some small trades, i lose quite a lot at the start but after keep learning about TA, comparing my analysis to others at trading view i become much better at trading.
123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low sell high? on: August 28, 2018, 04:13:59 AM
Well that's the point of trading, buy when the price is low and sell when the price is high, you can do it with any exchange as you like but I usually trade on binance because the volume is high so it make trading easier, also it seems like you are completely new to trading in general so i suggest you learn the basic first so you won't lose a lot of money.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will altcoins ever recover their value? on: August 27, 2018, 12:41:53 PM
They will but not all alts will recover their value, there's too much shitcoin that pumped so hard in the last bullrun and they are definitely not worth that much even later, a few solid coin may be recover their value and surpass that in a few years but there will be only a few of them as most of the alt is overvalued.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you determine the price of the coin you are holding? on: August 26, 2018, 09:38:39 AM
I agree that it depends on the demand and supply of the coin but usually i also compare it to a similiar project, i look at the competitor marketcap, the coin supply, and the progress of the project so i can roughly determine the price of the coin that i have, it has a lot of flaw but i think it's good enough to evaluate a project.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs Created a Strong 44% Downtrend for Ether in 14 Days on: August 26, 2018, 09:21:59 AM
I know this kind of situation are going to come, it's very good in bull market because the project collect more money than they initially planned but in bear market like this icos will sell their ether to secure the funding of their project and that means suddently there's a lot of sell order in a large amount from a lot of icos and that will push the price down even further.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest problem of altcoins on: August 26, 2018, 08:33:15 AM
Price wise you are quite right as they are influenced by the price movement of bitcoin, almost all trading pairs in crypto is againts bitcoin so ofcouse they will be bitcoin dependant, that's why it's very important to have more fiat pairing so that the projects can be independent and their value will grow according to the development and progress of their project.
128  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: other exchange places, other than poloniex on: August 26, 2018, 07:40:39 AM
Seems like you don't have any experience about trading and think it is easy to do, it's your fault that you lose your money, not the exchange fault because the price movement is the same on all exchange, maybe a bit different sometimes for arbitrage opportunity, if you want other exchange then you can trade at binance as the volume is way bigger there but if you don't learn TA then you'll most likely lose your money again.
129  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or mining? on: August 25, 2018, 02:42:52 PM
If the electricity in your place is cheap and you can do it then i think it's one of a good source as passive income, but the downside is you have to wait for a long time to break even. In trading the risk is higher but you can earn money quickly but you have to be good at it. If you want to mine then it may be the right time as there's a new gpu in near future.
130  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Dugaan adanya manipulasi harga/volume token di exchange on: August 25, 2018, 01:31:56 PM
131  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Investasi yang bagus 5 juta ? on: August 25, 2018, 10:02:50 AM
Saya masih sangat baru dalam bitcoin, ada uang 5 juta bagus nya invest dimana ya ?

setiap jawaban saya akan apresiasi
5Jt ?

132  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Blockchain help eliminate the basic problems in the world? on: August 16, 2018, 06:02:38 AM
No it can't do something like that, blockchain technology can be used in a lot of field but to say that it can solve major problems like you stated is too much. Blockchain will be useless for the one that live in poverty and if they want to reduce poverty then they have to work hard for it.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your experience in trading? on: August 16, 2018, 05:45:58 AM
My experience in trading especially in crypto is quite good because i think it is easier to trade crypto rather than stock. I earned quite a lot of money trading crypto since last year and even in this kind of market i can continue to short. I keep learning TA and practicing so i can make a better trading decision.
134  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallet Can Hack Too! We are not safe then? on: August 15, 2018, 09:05:18 AM
Recently I have read several topics that their Trezor, Ledger wallet got compromised! They never ever take pictures of secret seed, they did not save phrase code in online. Then how their hardware wallet got compromised? Today this thread shocks me, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4869771.0 , What should we do now to secure our assets! I am really feeling not secure anymore. I did not take any pictures, did not save phrase code anywhere. But, still am I not safe? OMG!
There's already an update for that thread as it seems like it's insider job, family/friends took advantage of the opportunity and wipe out his hardware wallet. There's no technical mistake on the trezor side. It's unlikely that you will lose your money if you are using hardware wallet unless there's technical fault or they brute force your phrase which is very unlikely.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Increasing dominance of Bitcoin on: August 15, 2018, 07:36:46 AM
The bitcoin dominance keep increasing because the money is flowing out of crypto from alts, people sell alts to bitcoin and cash it out so of course it's been increasing these days. It's shows that this market is full of alts with weak fundamental as the price crash a lot and a lot of project panic sell their eth so they won't lose the development fund.
136  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversify Investments on: August 14, 2018, 12:04:01 PM
Diversify your investment is indeed a good thing to do but it's even better if you diversify it to another investment outside crypto like stock or gold. If you split it to a few crypto then you still lose a lot of money because everything on the market is down but if you use half of it to buy something beside crypto then you won't lose a lot.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when the price of Bitcoin falls below the cost of mining? on: August 14, 2018, 05:50:13 AM
I feel like I've seen this kind of topic before but the cost of mining will readjust itself based on the bitcoin price right now, if the price keeps dropping then a lot of miner will stop mining, the difficulty goes down and the cost to mine will go lower aswell, the opposite will happen when the price goes up as there will be more people that want to mine that make the difficulty increase.
138  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think the markets will collapse on: August 14, 2018, 04:53:35 AM
I don't know your definition of collapse but i will consider it collapsed when the marketcap goes below 100 mill because that's the marketcap when i join crypto last year. If it goes below that then the market stepped back more than one year and it will take a very long time until it recover again.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone forgot the key to their bitcoin wallet ? on: August 13, 2018, 04:52:05 AM
What are the measures to keep your private key safe and in memory ? Are there any alternatives to retrieve the key back ?
You can print the private key and store it somewhere safe or you can buy hardware wallet and use it for better security. One of the advantages of crypto is that you have full control of your own money but that means you'll lose your money if you lose the private key because there's no way to retrieve it.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment or free? on: August 11, 2018, 03:34:25 PM
Well the project that collect money will last longer than the one that only give a free coin at start. They'll need money and time to develop the project and if they have nothing then they'll be forced to take a part time job while developing the project. I've invested in such project before and the result is not that good, the development is really slow and it's hard to attract new people because there's no marketing budget.
