121  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: Do you believe the MtGox trustee is saying the truth? on: March 21, 2018, 06:48:37 PM
Of course he's telling the truth, he's a professional with the backing of the court.

He's also acting on the orders of the judge in the case and taking every precaution required to shield him from liability.

The trustee has shown incompetence in several occsasions. It always felt like he googled "how to sell bitcoin" and got into some exchange. Why the hell would you dump on Kraken? it's insane. Anyone with some competence would first of all go OTC and find a deal with a billionaire willing to buy big packs of coins to avoid market destruction.

Then we have the decision itself of forcing the coins to be sold instead of just sending a transaction to creditor's wallets, so they get their coins back and nobody suffers a loss. It's completely retarded that we are dealing with this when bitcoin can be easily transacted back to the people that lost it. And if you ask the people that lost the coins, they want their coins back, not fiat..
122  Economy / Speculation / Re: When the price of bitcoin will go back to it's previous highest?? on: March 20, 2018, 06:01:03 PM
We have seen that the price of bitcoin has been stucked between 8k and 9kk.Sometimes,it reach 10k.But will the price of bitcoin reach it's previous highest within the end of this year?Which price are you expecting??
Good news are coming out but it did not affect the price very well because we have had bad news for a long time. Bitcoin will need time to come up from the limitations place on it by the effect of bad news and I believe with time it might go ahead to cross the $11,000 high we have had so far. We may be above $20,000 very soon maybe before may 2018.

It looks like a lot of people where paying attention to the G20 summit news for some reason, and it urns that they ended up being positive, doing a flipping 180 degree change on their opinion, since one of the chairmans was negative about cryptocurrency not a long time ago, but now they said "cryptocurrency does not pose risk to the financial system" and apparently this made Bitcoin skyrocket again to $8000+.

It sucks that people are paying attention to these news to value their coins. Bitcoin is about not caring what the damn G20 bureaucrats about have to say about things, but whatever.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: which coin will 5x?? on: March 20, 2018, 04:01:08 PM
If you want to go not x5 but x10, check out Poswallet, they are rebranding to Stakenet and I believe this project has massive potential. Once Ethereum goes Proof of Stake, the Stakenet website will have tons of traffic and network effect will spread. It will become the de-facto way to get your coins staked without having to download each wallet.

Masternodes are coming soon, devs are working hard, you can still get in at the bottom. Im sure it will go x10 eventually against BTC, not only USD.

This is the price of XSN, coinmarketcap hasnt updated it yet.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Poswallet to Stakenet migration on: March 20, 2018, 03:44:38 PM
I successfully completed the migration of half of my POSW holdings. I sent them from cryptopia to Livecoin the other day, and now I checked and they have been converted to XSN.

The question is: How do I convert the other half? The POSW markets are frozen on Livecoin so I can deposit my coins on there... their twitter says tomorrow is another round ("The next coin swap will be March 21st on Livecoin.")

https://twitter.com/XSNofficial/status/974979083221258240

This means that they will open POSW tomorrow so I can send it from cryptopia to Livecoin again? or I should have sent them already?

When will I able to convert my remaining POSW to XSN? please help, I think it ends on May 1st.
125  Economy / Speculation / Re: "Bitcoin post no risk to the world's Financial instability" on: March 19, 2018, 06:55:23 PM
The point of Bitcoin was that it shouldn't care what regulators have to say about it. If the price of Bitcoin depends on the opinion that G20, a group of old people that don't even know what Bitcoin is or how to use it, is, then this just means that there's a bunch of idiots holding Bitcoin that need to be smoked from the market allocating these coins into the hands of people that will not dump depending on what some bureaucrats have to say.
126  Economy / Economics / Re: The significance of bitcoin decentralization on: March 19, 2018, 03:35:09 PM
It depends on the point of view.

Some people see the lack of regulation as a positive, they see the fact that nobody buy you controls the money as something desirable. They also see the unrevertible transactions as something positive and so on.

Other people see that as very negative traits... they want the peace of mind of knowing that you will be able to blame someone else but yourself for your stupidity. They also want to be able to revert transactions.

This is why Bitcoin is so polarizing. Some people just don't get why it has value.
127  Economy / Economics / Re: They are manipulating the Bitcoin price throught ponzi-paper money scheme on: March 19, 2018, 03:12:15 PM
What are things measured against? fiat. Who has the money printers? the powers that be. Then by this basic premise, how isn't every manipulated and keep under control? they can issue futures at any rates, pump and dump at will... who cares? they print the money.

With Bitcoin, since everything is mathematically correct and open source and limited in amount, they can't win, only become bigger players by hoarding, and that is what they are doing, they are taking away people's coins and hoarding them.
First of all the money care value.  So printing money can't be totaly uncontrolled or the currency will worth nothing like it happens in Venezuela. The amount of printed money and gov expences is a pretty clear process and it is hard to secretely manipulate it.
In case with Bitcoin futures they were settled in USD (what makes them look more like a gambling) and imho they were pretty unpopular. They did not created any FUD that may bring the price down. The market reaction on JP Morgan CEO's words was way stronger, in comparison with it the news about futures trading were nothing. There is no clear evidence that futures were aimed to dump Bitcoin.
Btw I also don't think that some government is buying BTC just to take it away from people. That sounds too stupid.

As a matter of fact there is a group dedicated to market manipulation called PPT:

Do you really think that the powers that be are going to be playing fair against something that can challenge the status quo? time to stop being naive.
128  Economy / Services / Re: 🔷 TV-TWO Signature Campaign 🔷 [Hero/Legend Only] [FULL] on: March 19, 2018, 02:56:57 AM
Hi, I made a mistake with the hour due different timezones this week (im out and very busy) and got confused, jet lagged too as I speak.. I think I didn't made it within 25 posts on time, I think by 2 posts only. I hope the posts are good enough to get paid nontheless. I will try to get 25 on time for next week, cheers.
129  Economy / Economics / Re: They are manipulating the Bitcoin price throught ponzi-paper money scheme on: March 19, 2018, 02:51:50 AM
Hmm, that's interesting but the whole thing looks more like a conspiracy theory. The price is determined by many factors that are not counted. Also those types of assets are too different from each other (well, maybe not the assets but the markets are different). For example the uranium price has been growing before 2007. Untill that year the amount of registered geolocations increased dramatically together with the amount of suppliers in the market. In this case  people had too many uranium on too high price, the dump was logical.
The conditions of the market were also different in cases with gold and BTC but it doesen't seems like futures had a very significant impact.

130  Economy / Economics / They are manipulating the Bitcoin price throught ponzi-paper money scheme on: March 19, 2018, 01:44:17 AM
Noticed how gold, silver and other assets like uranium started crashing right when the CME futures started?

Now compared to Bitcoin:

Remember this guy?

The powers that be are manipulating Bitcoin suppressing it's price since they can print as much fiat as needed to keep it down. The Futures is the Wall St goons section where they get them trying to control the market participants expectations. Their goal is to frustrate potential buyers through this and get holders to dump, triggering avalanches through media FUD as well:

The hope: Bitcoin is different to any other asset they've had to deal with in the past. This is a war of epic proportions at play as we speak. Buy the dip, long term they can't win. Let them keep printing money, see what happens.
131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it worth trading in such deeps? on: March 18, 2018, 06:06:57 PM
If you are out of the market and you wanted to wait for it to stabilize, I think it's the correct way to do right now. We have broken (unfortunately) most resistances that could held us up in price, I think we are on a bear market for now, until the charts tell me otherwise.

If I was out of the market, I would wait it out, and once the price starts stagnating, aka becoming almost flat, it may be a good idea to start planning a big entry, similar to how Bitcoin stagnated after MtGox's crash. When everyone starts saying how Bitcoin is dead and the price is almost flat (2014-2015) period this is the ideal period to accumulate. I hope that happens, which would mean 2018-2019 will be an accumulation period, and 2020 will be the new era of $100k+ a coin, with once again, a bunch of people on the brink of suicide because they sold at the bottom during that accumulation period.

Whatever you do, just don't short it... that's insanely risky. BTC can skyrocket at any time and put shorters in bankruptcy overnight.
132  Other / Meta / Re: "Incorrect recaptcha" on: March 18, 2018, 05:19:41 PM
It means that when the forum asked recaptcha whether you actually answered it correctly, recaptcha said no. IP change is a possibility.
Yuph, I'm not using TOR for browsing. But I think the main problem why TOR keep saying "An error has occurred" and "incorrect recaptcha" is because of IP issue. Tor uses different IP's as it keeps you anonymous to the web. That's why everytime it loads/changed the recaptcha, the IP changed as well.

By the way OP, do you just encountered this issue recently? Are you not having trouble in recaptcha in the past? Because there is a possibility that this is a browser issue.
Clear cookies, install brave browser, reset modem, dont login in Google email. This help me.
Brave browser is a good browser to stay anonymous, but besides from Tor browser, you can try firefox focus as well.

I have been having problems with the "try again" or "connection error" stuff within the captcha box before. Like I said before, this message is within the forum, not within the captcha box, and it happens after you get a green checkmark of a successfully completed captcha.

The only logical explanation is that the IP changes right after you complete the captcha, so once you press "login", you are already using a different IP, so the forum gives you that error. What I don't understand is that this happens even after I change IP sometimes, and as far as I know Tor only changes IP automatically every 10 minutes..
133  Other / Meta / Re: What does "leet" means in my profile? on: March 18, 2018, 12:26:53 AM
It means "elite", I think it's one of the ancient memes on the internet. I remember ages ago when I played videogames online, saying that you were "1337" meant that you were really good, and it is in ASCII code, "1337" = "leet" = "elite". It's just a really geeky homage to that by theymos as far as I know, or maybe it came like that by default in forum software.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet
134  Other / Meta / "Incorrect recaptcha" on: March 17, 2018, 11:57:00 PM
Im sure we Tor users are well aware of the "Try again" message after completing the recaptcha and generally trying a bunch of IPs's until you get one that isn't banned, but im getting a new one that I don't remember ever getting before...

After successfully completing the recaptcha clicking all the damn cars, roads and buses and what have you, I finally get the green checkmark, then I press login, and I get this error:

"An error has occurred!
"Incorrect recaptcha."

That's all. And this is a forum error btw, not an error within the recaptcha's box.

Any ideas in how to get around this and why it is happening? my take is that you are unlucky enough to get your Tor node's IP changed right after completing the captcha, and the forum gives you that error..
135  Economy / Speculation / Re: User sjefdeklerk is spamming FUD news on: March 17, 2018, 08:15:51 PM

To be honest, I don't like attitudes like these a lot more than fudsters as blinkered horses are not my favorites either.
So let's just ignore any piece of news that we don't like cause it's better to live in a bubble.
Not my style!

If you don't understan why a ban on bitcoin means bitcoin is on the right track maybe you don't know what Bitcoin is to begin with. Why do you think satoshi added a newspaper article on the genesis block about banks in the brink of collapse? Exactly.

The nature of Bitcoin is always a challenging one against the status quo. If they aren't fighting back, Bitcoin is not important enough. If they have to resort of a ban, they are showing impotence.

May I remind you what happened quickly after the latest biggest ban news?

Exactly, it triggered a dip... then a big bullrun.
136  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC slumps again, is it heading for 6K or lower prices? on: March 16, 2018, 07:29:59 PM
There's still time. Let's see if we can close today above $8500, that would be the very limit... if we go lower and we get a candle under the 1 day moving average... well I guess we may have higher chances at going lower.

Ideally, we want to close the weekend at $9000, ideally a nice pump of $10000+ to close above 5 figures, but unless someone can confirm it, we are still at the mercy of Kobayashi dumping on Kraken. This guy needs to be stopped if he is still not going OTC.
137  Economy / Speculation / Re: User sjefdeklerk is spamming FUD news on: March 16, 2018, 07:15:35 PM
Haha, my own topic, you're too kind. But honestly, why is a bearish user, shorting bitcoin, not allowed to post news he finds interesting? You only want positive news but hey, that's kinda hard these days. You're more than welcome though to post positive news once it arrives. To each their own perspective, right?

He has been doing that because he is SHORT on BTC. His whole purpose is to reduce BTC price. He should be banned as such.

Well if that was my goal, wouldn't it make more sense to mail those stories to the whales? I'm not sure how these handfuls bitcoin holders on this forum are supposed to decrease the price. Or are you long more than 1 bitcoin? Yesterday night somebody was pushing 500+ btc bids on bitfinex, somebody took one of them out, I think it was 365 bitcoins in 1 single trade. I highly doubt people like that read this forum and think 'wow this news article is BAD, now I'm going to sell", or do you honestly believe it works like that?

You are free to post whatever you want, but it is too obvious that you are shorting. Me personally, I admit the price can either up or down, even if im bullish long term.

The problem is when people like you think they can predict the future and point to news as being obviously bearish news, when they are subjected to interpretation. For me, regulatory news for instance, means bullish news. Even a ban on bitcoin is bullish, since it means bitcoin is working as the subversive anti-censorship tool that it is, and governments are taking it serious enough to ban it.

So bearish news are relative, if you think shorting bitcoin is a good idea at any rate... good luck with that, because all shorters get eventually rekt.
138  Economy / Speculation / User sjefdeklerk is spamming FUD news on: March 16, 2018, 04:37:23 PM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;threads;u=1474678;sa=showPosts

This is ridiculous, similar to kwuckduck insanity but with even less effort, at least kwukduck is hilarious.

This is exactly how a bitter panic seller looks like. These guys obviously sold the bottom, and are now trying to get the price as low as possible to get back in. Luckily, they have no weight in the market... I don't know why they even bother spamming these FUD news.

Just ignore the FUDsters, we are going to all time high this year, buy the dip.
139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let me tell you exactly what's gonna happen on: March 16, 2018, 04:14:06 PM
We have just crossed the 7 day moving average on the 12 hour chart.. by crossed I mean upwards, with the recent recovery. If we can sustain this for 12 more hours and close above the 7 day moving average on the daily chart, that's the start of something positive. Next step would be to cross the 30 day moving average. I believe we can do this somewhere in April.

Finally, the 200 day moving average which was resistance at february, should be passed somewhere during the summer, starting the bull run to the new all time high.

The alternative scenario is these resistances being broken downwards, which would still be good news for long term holders since BTC would be at an insane discount.
140  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC break below the former low at $6,000 on: March 15, 2018, 06:37:56 PM
If the trustees of the Mt. Gox confiscated funds try to sell a shit ton of bitcoins again, I will  not be surprised if the price drops back again to those lows. However, I am very optimistic that once they run out of bitcoins to sell then the price would likely shoot back up since there won't be any more pressure to the demand for bitcoins. But, I believe they have not even sold half of the bitcoins they have so we might still see a bumpy ride for the whole year.

The trustee is done selling for now, it's not yet been decided what will happen to the rest of the coins. So for at least the next 4 months or so we do not need to worry about that situation.

Futures contracts ended yesterday and many speculate that the price will always be dumped prior to that happening as people aim to get a better closing price. There's been a slight recovery from 7700 so far, let's see if that trend can continue in the coming days.

The main concern now is that the news from the g20 summit is still looming over us, I am of the belief that the market will respond positively even to negative news because expectations are always worse than reality.

Im not sure about that. There was some japanese guy on twitter, tweeting in japanese so some things may have been lost in translation, but bottomline is that they could be selling at any time, even if some news said that it was frozen until september, this guy say something like "it is independent from that, the trustee can still sell" or something along the lines.

Hoenstly I think it is crazy that they haven't officially gone OTC yet. Kraken should ban the guy's account.
