121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: July 25, 2014, 11:45:47 AM
It is sad that in http://coinmarketcap.com/ NXt is now in 4th position.May be when ethereum will come it will take nxt's place and nxt will go further more down.  Sad

Sorry if its stupid question, but why would you hope nxtcoin gets more expensive? then transactions are more expensive and nxtcoin assets are more expensive. Isn't it more logical to hope for price to go down?
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Qora hits Bloomberg News! on: July 25, 2014, 11:38:01 AM
I don't think anyone was mislead that this is like many online news site articles a press release. It clearly states it at the end of the article. The point is that it got onto Bloomberg, I'm pretty sure we didn't pay for that cause advertising on Bloomberg would cost a fortune so yes it's a press release that was obviously deemed interesting and was used by the site.

Bloomberg has definitely lost some credibility over this..

I agree. Did you see the article of ccedk offering nxt?

An exchange with no users is offering coin that nobody wants....sounds like magical combination!

They should also write how my dog had to take crap this morning and I had to clean it up after him.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution- Updated on: July 25, 2014, 11:35:31 AM
Muddafudda seems pretty lazy, since he started this thread around 500 more shitcoins appeared. What the hell is he doing?
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will EXO destroy Nxt, NEM, Node aka java crap? on: July 25, 2014, 11:28:13 AM
That is really big gun!
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BULBACOIN] - first cryptocurrency of Belarus on: July 25, 2014, 10:09:20 AM
Cool, this is great news! Will you also make coins that are specific for each region of Belarus? Or maybe by each town that would be even better
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero VS BitcoinDark VS bitsharesTITAN VS Dark VS...... on: July 25, 2014, 09:52:28 AM
I think BitcoinDark will win the race, premine and 1 week pow sound irresistible.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will bitcoindark (btcd) can be mine again? on: July 25, 2014, 08:47:23 AM
So premine and 1 week of mining? LOL, another great coin.

Its creators should now make POS coin that they buy themselves and call it BitcoinNight.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how you predict altcoin can be success ? or how you analysis it? on: July 24, 2014, 05:56:19 PM
The most important is to have fair logo contest. Other then that it would be good if Dell accepts it
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ::::::: The Great Pumper - Rpietila ::::::: on: July 24, 2014, 05:54:23 PM
Darkota would be a good name for annon coin. You should make your own coin, if its truly annon noone will know if you instamined it or not Smiley And there seem to be serious shortage of annon coins so it will probably be a success too
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ::::::: The Great Pumper - Rpietila ::::::: on: July 24, 2014, 05:17:06 PM
Shhhh after a long time we have a Litecoin like PnD and people will not let it be  Roll Eyes

In any case, I think the right CN coin to pump is Boolberry.  Cool
Boolberry is such a bad name marketingwise Monero is much better.

I think DuckNote is best one, it applies to high finance.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The great Pumper - Rpietila on: July 24, 2014, 02:48:09 PM
IMO he didnt do enough of threads as Monero is still far away from hights. He should be making 1 new thread a day. Or do what NXTCoin people do, write into each thread of who ever created it NXTCoin promo material. That would maybe be good way for Risto to go!
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A currency with no transaction fees vs a currency with no volatility on: July 24, 2014, 09:46:56 AM
I prefer with volatility when price goes up Smiley
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burncoin -- An open source project, developed by the community on: July 23, 2014, 06:23:38 PM
You got the order wrong, first you need to have logo contest
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [poll] Is there room for another new Hashing Algorithm? on: July 23, 2014, 06:19:48 PM
Yes but what is 1400 compared to 7 billion? There is still long way to go so OP should start programming instead of hanging out on forum.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [poll] Is there room for another new Hashing Algorithm? on: July 23, 2014, 05:11:16 PM
I think there is room for many new algorithms. Currently there is only about 1000 alt coins and that is not even nearly enough. IMO until there is 1 altcoin for each person on the world the job here is not finished. Instead of starting a poll you should have already created your coin, or a couple of them.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite type of Altcoin launch? on: July 23, 2014, 10:48:22 AM
I prefer samurai launches.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats stopping you from investing in Altcoins? on: July 21, 2014, 10:37:41 AM
You posted this topic in Alternate cryptocurrencies part of BTT. People here are already invested into alts so nothing is stopping them. You should post it in Bitcoin part of forum.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: July 19, 2014, 01:24:11 PM

Poloniex good day for all cryptos on it combined doesnt even come to top20 bitcoin only exchanges Smiley And crypto assets exist for over half a decade, while virtual assets exist for almost a decade now (visit slcapex.com for example).

But more importantly, did you actually offer 10k NXT bounty to next community to artificially fake volume on poloniex (https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/price-speculation/msg66820/#msg66820), while at same time setting price 100% higher then on nxt ae and unloading it to nxt members that went for bounty....at 100% profit on arbitrage? LOL (lol is meant for faking volume, my condolences to nxt members that actually fell for that gimmick).

Thats pretty twisted, atoni. James set up a trading competition, open to all, even you. Ofc its intended as promotion for jl777hodl, but so what ?
I'm offering a 5000 NXT prize for NXT traders on www.ccedk.com up 'til the end of this month......is that also "artificially faking volume"?

The original price on Poloniex was pretty much the same as on the NXT AE, btw, and what is wrong with taking arbitrage profit?

Instead of attacking NXT, why don't you simply promote Ripple?
Promotion works a lot better than attack, as NXT has proved in the last few days.....

Which is twisted? Read all those pages on nxt forum and you will see that its bounty to fake volume to make jl777hodl look attractive. So what did I twist?

I have 2000 Ripples that I bought for 3 USD year and a half ago, I used less then 1 on sending money between exchange in transfer fees (since its so damn cheap to send, I send money 3-4 times a week). Why would I promote Ripple? To gain or lose 50 cents? lol. I use Ripple in contest of NXT only because out of all original cryptos that are out now days, NXT decided to copy absolutely everything from Ripple instead of choosing its own path.

Poloniex to list jl777hodl (JLH) in first ever crypto-asset listing

Jmaes takes a NXT asset out into the real world for teh first time.....plucky little jl777hodl !

Sorry to break it to you but crypto assets have been trading since beginning of bitcoin.

Maybe James doesnt remember GLBSE?

Or how about this: www.cryptostocks.com

Or the oldest of them all, https://www.therocktrading.com/en/exchange/stock which is also currency exchange.

But I must admit, paradigm shift does sound cool....if only it was true lol
I think you need to re-read the original text, I said NXT asset, not crypto asset.
Like many of the concepts in the second generation space, NXT is implementing these ideas, not creating them for the first time.

And yeah, we are in a paradigm shift, crypto (especially second generation crypto) is going to change the world.
But we all knew that...............

What do I need to reread? "Poloniex to list jl777hodl (JLH) in first ever crypto-asset listing" - this is from your quite.

And if you read entire thing you would see that Paradigm-shift was meant to be for listing of crypto assets. While crypto assets are being traded for almost half a decade now Smiley
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT/NEM or Monero/Bytecoin? on: July 19, 2014, 01:09:36 PM
I will help you, here is quote from JL777Hodl.

"This means the active liquid NXT is probably around 250 million total, which is still plenty especially with the normal trading volumes of 1 million NXT per day."

And? The active liquid Bitcoin is probably 1 million or less, the rest is hodl'ed and never leaves wallets, what does it have to do with anything?

It has a lot to do with anything. First and more important stakes dont matter in POW currencies while in POS they are the only ones that matter. So if a couple of people control 75% of network its EXTREMELY important.
