Yes, it is definitely possible.
Look for tokens that have real world use - IOTA, for example, is partnering up with a lot of major companies.

Iota>byteball>eth> bitcoin>Feathercoin
I agree with IOTA first. However, what is so special about Feathercoin? I remember it from years ago and it was a Litecoin clone IIRC?

Publishing prices of any coin is not so grateful. Price can be now 900, but in a day 1200 and then again back to 900-1000. Only news can be published is when there is something like a double up or so as it will be noticed by everyone and remembered by many.
Yes, indeed - posting about short-term price changes as if it is news is just asking for egg on your face.

Yes, this. IOTA offers: zero fees, no miners, massive scalablity, nano payments, confirmation in seconds (as network grows), it is quantum secure... The network literally works faster the more it is used, unlike any other crypto. What altcoin has features that can even compare?

Is there any use case for this other than to scam people? No. Is this against the rules? Probably not.

north-korean people don't have smartphone ? Maybe only the very top of society - same for internet connections.

I think a lot depends on what Bitcoin does from here.
If it consolidates and then continues the bull run, ETH and other alts will suffer until Bitcoin takes a rest.
If Bitcoin crashes then Ethereum is the natural successor (at this point) and will do very well indeed.

If bitcoin is spreading like mushroom on UK and there are few local exchange there. Then why not try to start a local exchange maybe a simple exchanger bitcoin>pounds(local currency). At the first place you may not get massive transactions but when that business started to bloom then expect that you'll be holding.
that could actually be a good idea, you need to set some basic needs to assure the quality in the services You would probably need a licence in order to do this. Also you would need to comply with AML/KYC type requirements.

Segwit beeing the new Azure like somebody jokingly twittered That's a good analogy actually SegWit is almost a no-brainer - it should be activated. Politics has got in the way, however.

Keeping both seems to be a sensible option since worst case scenario would be to sell the winning chain.
If I had to choose, I would stick with Core.

Mike Caldwell / Casascius
He minted the first ever physical Bitcoins and very nice they are too.
I also remember him writing some BIPs... I think.

One private key, one vote.
The crucial thing is how to make sure the private keys safely get to each eligible voter.

I am not sure they will have a lot of luck when trying to enforce that.

Considering how Erdogan is consolidating power, I find his use of the word 'fascist' rather ironic.
I hope secularists in Turkey will soon fight back and depose him.
I think this will be very difficult. He did crush the national coup easily at first and then he gave punishment to more than 10.000 persons and no one of the population said a thing. The population is from his side. Erdogan has sympathy from the population and as long as it will be like this no one will fight him back. Well I guess he can throw all hopes of Turkey joining the EU. Welp, even the very existence of EU is now precarious with stuff like Brexit and right-wing movements gaining ground in Europe. Even if don't collapse it seem people there would definitely not want Turkey in. Some even blame Turkey of taking advantage of the immigrant crisis. As for expulsion, that will happen when people become fed-up with Erdogan. They can't love him forever. Yes, I can't see them joining the EU any time soon - not even in 25 years. They need to focus on making it work rather than admitting new members. Although it may well be too late for this.

More important is if other European countries follow the UK's lead and break away from the EU.
This would have to be extremely bullish for Bitcoin.

North Korea knows that they would get wiped off the map in seconds if they attacked. They are just attempting to stay relevant by constantly being the annoying kid on the block. China is rapidly abandoning them, so the days of that dictatorship may soon be coming to an end.
It's still not solved. It seems to me that only a severe economic embargo can finish the dictatorial regime in North Korea. The maintenance of nuclear weapons costs a lot of money. You need to make sure that the money Pyongyang was not. No one is afraid of North Korea. Most likely it has not yet been thrown out because it was to whom to point a finger. If suddenly it gets boring, then Kim Jong Il will quickly sort it out. And I shove such a wild neighbor, too, is no longer needed. Any nation will nuclear weapons technology is rightly feared. As their delivery systems get better, it will come to a point where the US has to act - it would be intolerable for them to have the capability to strike the West.
