I am interested in seeing their solution for actually withdrawing money from a bitcoin address.  I would also like to see and actual product in action instead of an ATM with a bitcoin logo Photoshopped on top of it.

If anyone wants the original p2pmining code, PM me your email.  It may be difficult to setup because I don't have a copy of the Mysql database that the site runs on and my commenting is very sparse. Lots of optimization needs to be done also.

No sign yet of the tens of thousands of new Mt. Gox depositors lined up to buy ...
It may take a few weeks for any new MtGox user to actually be able to get funds into MtGox to start buying.

Pyramining does not hold bitcoin.  They trade it for fiat to buy hardware as soon as it is deposited.

so from what i gather on this idea is you need to deposit your own bitcoin in this machine inorder for it to give bitcoin to whomever puts money in correcT?

Cool idea!

The bitcoin is deposited and managed through the website.

Looking for anyone with some public (indoor) location in the northwest suburbs of Chicago to host my demo unit for while to get some user feedback. I will cut you in on any profits. PM me.

but still dont answer my question. Let me re question it. for you.

Who's bitcoin is being used to fund the machine to give to people who put in cash?

The person who owns the machine.

Announcing Bitvenders.com Bitcoin ATM system

This project is in Beta, but it will allow you to build your own Bitcoin ATM machine.

Overview: The Bitvenders system allows anyone in the world to build and manage their own Bitcoin ATM.  The Bitvenders system consists of two parts; Kiosk software that is free to download and a website that manages the functions of the Bitcoin ATM/Vending machine kiosk.  The kiosk works by a user entering a destination Bitcoin address and then inserting cash into a bill validator.  A bitcoins are then sent to the address instantaneously at the current market value plus a fee set by the kiosk owner. Bitvenders will collect a small fee from the transaction (< 1% , Bitvenders fee is set to 0% during Beta).

To get started, here is a list of components needed to setup a basic system:

  • Bill acceptor compatible with MEI serial protocol (EBDS) such as  MEI cashflow AE2400 , AE2600 or AE2800. The MEI SC series validators should also work, but haven't been tested yet. (The SC series will probably need to be used for non US currency)
  • Serial cable for bill validator
  • A web cam
  • A windows 7 computer
  • RS232 to USB converter
  • Touch screen with at least 1024x768 resolution (optional)
  • Kiosk Software at https://bitvenders.com/portal/download/BVKsetup0_0_5.exe
  • Bitvenders account at https://bitvenders.com/portal/

Video Demonstration of my Bitcoin ATM demo unit will be here soon...

WARNING: This is an early release so that Kiosk owners can try out the system before Bitvenders is ready for large scale operation. Only deposit small amounts of Bitcoin into accounts for testing.

The internet was way to confusing also.

REQUEST: Would it be possible to add one more digit of accuracy to % completion when viewing accounts.  This would help to compute final payout more accurately.

Thanks.

You need to use SSL cert or users are vulnerable to man in the middle attack.  An attacker could possibly change the deposit address to one owned by an attacker.
