I like execoin much but its way overpriced right now I think

Not even close. You'll just get hurt by waiting to buy.
man be realistic, look at the difficulty and compare it with the profits of mddlecoin
Middlecoin? Where they mine all the 'dead' coins? Also, remember you get half the speed mining adaptive-N compared to scrypt..

Precisely. I'm not sure how a direct comparison can be made between the two to determine EXE's value. Hash rate and difficulty is increasing exponentially at the moment for EXE. Just looking at the stats, a continuing rise in value seems imminent. I'm not claiming to know where it will settle, but at the moment I think it's still undervalued.

past block 42000. Time for KGW?

1847 to go Smiley

how long we must wait?
1 day? or how many hours?

Considering the difficulty adjustment soon and the hash rate increase I would say 24 hours is a good estimate

WTF is going on with the price?  Is this getting listed on crytsy today or something?

I think people are just realizing that it's undervalued. Also, it being at the top of 24hr growth on coinmarketcap is attracting a lot of people.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXE] Execoin - Fast | ASIC resistant | Multipool resistant | no-premine on: March 13, 2014, 04:43:18 AM

It is very similar to vertcoin. However, I believe vert will need a "sister coin" in the world of scrypt-n ASIC resistance. Panda is a pure pump and dump and GPU is relying on an extremely shaky and unsubstantiated platform. EXE is looking like the most solid contender.

I agree with pandacoin being P&D, but not sure what you mean gpucoin being shaky and unsubstantiated? I'm trying to find what makes execoin standout from the other 3 coins I mentioned. It doesn't seem to bring anything new to the table as far as technical merits go.

The entire idea behind GPU is that you can spend the GPU you mine at their store to buy more video cards. This hasn't been implemented but when it is, there is a lot that can go wrong. Considering the shaky launch (and subsequent relaunches) I just can't see any potential. As for what makes it different, it's the more aggressive n-factor schedule and block time. This, to me, feels like more of a difference than scrypt clones which did different things with block rewards.

From reading up on execoin, it just sounds like a vertcoin, pandacoin, gpucoin clone. What does it do differently from the others?

EXE has 45 second block times compared to PANDA and VTC's 150 second block times and GPU's 60 second block times.

I cannot find much else, but EXE has a more aggressive scheduling compared to VTC. IMO I'd keep some on Vert and some on Exe since Exe is running cheap atm and seeming to go upward.

Does anyone knows how to make sure my upgrade is successful? I can't identify it by see the version information.

When I updated my wallet the file I downloaded was called execoin-0.8.6.2-kgw-win32-setup. The windows installer on the site still seems to be called that. Are you using something other than the installer?

Change your TC to 8193 and lower your clock down to 1020.

i did that but still disabling my gpu Sad

Try even lower TC like 4000. If that works, you can go about increasing it slowly to see what your cap is.

ok i try it but what is the maximum kh of his r9 280x?

Should be something like 350-375

Attention everyone!

Sources and wallets with KGW will be released tomorrow. We are going to hard fork at block 42000 (~in 4 days +/-) so that everybody (including exchanges) would have enough time to update their wallets. Sorry for delays, we're trying to minimize risks.

Good to see a coin doing it right and thinking long term. Gonna be huge

Agree! Great progress so far everyone

Coinedup.com proved to be a killer of new coins... I truly hope exe survives. Since on this exchange the coin has lost more than %40.00 of its value....
This coin have great potential. Do not understand why many people are not seeing it. Or may be most of them are looking for the quick profit.
I have about 300 KHs power on my PC and continue to mine this coin.

The problem with coinedup is that there seems to be no buy volume. I think the price for this coin has a ways to go.

Hey Guys,

Had some free time today and set up a P2Pool node on Amazon EC2 - have a look and throw your hashes at it if you want :-)

Don't worry about prices. I think it will settle at 10k satoshi.
how much satoshi is one bitcoin?
is 10k satoshi = 0,0001 btc?

Yes. 1 BTC is 100,000,000
