121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: January 02, 2016, 06:29:33 PM
No gains with p0 state on 960, 970 and 980. Only ETH gains some % with memory oc.
Anyway I managed to put all the cards to p0 state also in windows. It is the same "trick" as in linux using nvidia-smi tool.

I'm not responsible if You kill Your GPU. The risk is Yours.
The procedure is:
1) open cmd.exe with the admin privileges
2) cd C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI
3) nvidia-smi -q -d SUPPORTED_CLOCKS -i 0
4) nvidia-smi -ac 3505,1455 -i 0

-i 0 means display adapter 0. -i 4 would mean display adapter 4.
Step 3 is used to show the possible clock settings combination for each power state. The numbers will change if You overclock Your gpu before running step 3.
The result after typing step 3 would be looking like that:
Code:
C:\Windows\system32>cd C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI

C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI>nvidia-smi -q -d SUPPORTED_CLOCKS -i 0

It always starts with the clocks of the p0 state. In my example it shows memory 3505 after that You can find listed all the possible graphics settings. You must chose one and type it exactly the same number in the step 4.

Example:
nvidia-smi -ac 3505,1446 -i 0
The nvidia inspector shows Your card in p0 and You can overclock also the memory with msi afterburner or any other oc tool.

If You type nvidia-smi -ac 3505,1440 -i 0 it won't be accepted because 1440 is not in a list of matching Mhz for memory clock 3505.

I'm not responsible if You kill Your GPU. The risk is Yours.

lol please tell me you donated cause he has not even given you his newest version.... lemme guess he asked for another donation?

LOL I have donated because I have made some BTC in an unexpected P&D... Nobody asked me about anything I just felt it that way.
I have this version since 2. july 2015 and I have made enought to donate. 0.1 BTC was around 25$ at that time and my gain was like adding an 750ti which was priced around 120EUR.
I really don't care about the text in the miner.

Anyway I will not partecipate in Your dev wars.

And btw check the definition of donation. My BTC and my decision. Simple as that.

The private spreadcoinminer is around 15-25% faster than the opensource. Compute 5.2 Cards get the most increase in the hashrate.

Everybody who donate more than 0.1 BTC will get it.

Using %20 more power..............bringing us back to a %5 increase........

My rig uses 3% more power and hashes 15% faster with optimized miner.

Those are my numbers with public miner, wattmeter showing ~850W at the wall:

New Spreadcoin Block Explorer

I'm pleased to announce that spreadx.eu is now live.

I'll be adding network statistics and service node status checking in due course.

Many thanks to Chaositec for doing the grown up bits!

I have a small observation about the new block explorer(which is great). It shows the UTC/GMT time and not the local time. Maybe it is supposed to be like that but personally I prefer it showing my local time like cryptoid explorer does.

Keep up with the good work guys Wink

And the mail history contacting the support.
What happened with your withdrawal? Why was it rejected, have you received any reason for this?

I wanted to exchange some BTC to PM USD.
I have followed all the steps and the indications. It was written max amount possible in BTC matching exactly the sum I have sent.
They have received my sum(quickly as it should be) and the status changed to not enough funds.
My next step was contacting the support and they said I'll have to wait.
I didn't want to wait and we agreed for the refund. They changed the status to rejected at that point.
I have received a mail saying: You were refunded. --11th december
I have sent 2 more mails saying I was still not refunded.
The last mail from coinomat was:
Hello!
Please, sorry for delay.
It's connected with some technical problems, which will be solved during the day.
  ---13th december.
I didn't send them another mail since today and still waiting the response.

I have accused them in this thread and on official FB page for now.
I will stop doing it if they give me back my BTC or PM USD as I wanted till the beginning.

That's it.  Roll Eyes

Contemplating selling my (9) 750ti's, (3) 970's, and (1) 960 because I can't find anything worth mining anymore.  Is there some hidden gem I don't know about?

Only ETH in linux.

Just tested my rig with my old usb linux installation and it seems OK. Also the 750ti should be somewhere where it was. Getting 110MH with 980 +3x970 +960 +750ti. Power at the wall shows exactly 900W.

In windows I got 96MH without 750ti. But there is also a memory OC of all the cards 750ti=6300Mhz, 960=7500Mhz, others to 7700Mhz. I somehow succedeed to put the cards into the higher power state and OC also the memory. I couldn't find a way in windows for that.

Hi dominuspro
I think you are wrong about 750Ti. I also tested this card a week ago, and can prove that TLB is definitely an issue. Yep, in benchmark mode i got 18 mh\s from 2 750Ti cards. but during benchmark DAG file is aroung 1G only, but if you will try real mining it will be more that 1G, as a result i got only 5mh\s from 2 cards on real pool.
But 980/970/960 still can mine well.
If you want to recheck my test - just remove all your hi-end cards and leave 750 Ti only in your rig for test.

P.S. let me know if you will have different result.
P.S.S that's on linux of course.

You are right. I cannot enable only 750ti with cuda-devices param, but I can disable the 750ti and I loose 7MH. So 750ti is hashing around 7MH. On the same clocks(1426/6300) it used to be over 11MH some months ago. 960 with 2GB is not loosing that much. It is still around 11MH.

The 980+3x970 combo increased hashrate with mem oc from 86MH(Windows) to 92MH(Linux).

The power limit is still on the factory settings on all gpus.

A screenshot if someone finds it somehow usefull:

BTW what should be the --diff for FTC solo mining? Default settings in r.74 gets accepted 4/10 blocks.

Depends on the pool. If there are rejects (low diff shares) then decrease the diff multiplier below 1.0 and if a pool shows low hashrates without rejects then increasing -f is a good place to start.

Asking about solo mining... diff 2 seems even worst:

The diff parameter doesn't matter for solomining at all (sorry, missed that you said solo). Using wallet 0.8.7.1 I have no issues solomining (found a block while writing this). Also, you shouldn't be able to find shares (reject or not) anywhere near that frequently with that hashrate.
In fact, a 5 card 970 rig (ignoring the 980 for simplicity) have an average block finding frequency of 36 minutes with the current difficulty. It's like you're mining to another wallet that's not FTC. Or your wallet have sync issues.

Are You using release 74?
I'm using the same wallet but I get more non accepted shares then good ones. Overnight I got accepted 4/27. Not sure about the diff. It looks worst if I use it with factors 0.5 and 2.
I'll do another, longer run without it...

I was mining ETH earlier with 750Ti:s on linux and the cards hashed at around 7-8Mhs back then.

Maybe You forgot to OC  Tongue Memory should be overclocked too for ETH(especially 750ti). I was hashing at 21+MH with 2x750ti.

I should do some tests again... Never tried other maxwells in linux. Maybe I'll find some time around wednesday...

Seems some more Hashes for each gpu. But non profitable nowadays  Cry
Seems like Etherum is the only profitable algo at the moment on the NVIDIA unreleased gpu's

I'm not sure about that. Anybody know how much a 750 Ti is expected to earn a day (before electricity)?

The 750ti is not good in mining etherum. You need a compute 5.2 or bether.

Period   ETH   USD
Minute   0.000342   $0.00
Hour   0.020540   $0.02
Day   0.492959   $0.39
Week   3.450715   $2.73
Month   14.788778   $11.71
Notes

Thanks. How about 970s?

http://etherscan.io/ether-mining-calculator

Check by yourself Wink I allways got a correct calculation.
750ti was doing 8-11MH some time ago in linux.
Don't know if it degraded allready...

970 should be around 20MH.

-Now compiled and adjusted for cuda 7.5
-Faster quark on compute 5.2 devices
-Neoscrypt is 50% slower.
-Most algos are slower or same speed.(0-5%)
1.5.75(sp-MOD) is available here: (9-dec-2015)
https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer/releases/
The sourcecode is available here:
https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer
Please post you hashrates guys.
like i was mentioning many times earlier - cuda 7.5 was working and compiling fine on my fedora 22 x64 systems ... and were on par - if not better ( by a little bit ) than cuda 6.5 ...
now that you are tuning the kernels to this compile - this should be a nice update in hashrate - though the rates that a lot of people are getting here are in no way related to what im getting on stock clocks ...
ill test today if there is any chance to ...
tanx for new update sp ...
#crysx

I have just tuned a few kernals in quark and x11 (qubit). Lyra2v2, neoscrypt, x13,x14,x15,x17 etc. will be done later. Optimizing for compute 5.0 is hurting 5.2 performance. I should split the kernals and make seperate versions.

New compiler alot of work..

Please donate some beers Smiley
