121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Paper Wallet on: June 09, 2012, 12:18:30 AM
Hey All,
Not very active on talking on the board, but I thought I would share my paper wallet I made for one of my offline wallets.
It is a card protector which has my address and QR code on it, with a bitcoin on it (Thank you google image search) and inside hidden inside other sheets of paper is the private key and QR code so when I want to retrieve the bitcoins I just grab the case and open it up.

Thanks for giving me a little attention by looking! Maybe inspire you to make your own wallet somehow!

Anyone interested in Polyester Handkerchiefs, its what I do in my free time...

They look like Silk from a distance and they almost feel like silk, the difference is they are washable and dryable..

If anyone is interested I'll post some pictures later of colors and stuff I have. Price wise probably 1 BTC which will probably cover shipping as well.

If no one is interested, let the thread die!
125  Other / Beginners & Help / Bitcoin Miner/Website Shares question on: March 16, 2012, 05:17:30 PM
Hello, Finally got a card to start mining with, it is a HD6770. I have guiminer and it says I'm getting 182 Mhash/s, I am part of mining.bitcoin.cz and I was just wondering why my shares guiminer says I have never match the shares the website says I have, I'm sure of them get rejected and what not but when I first started I have 200 shares according to the website but my miner said I had just over 1000, then the next round started and I lost track.

I'm sure there is an explanation and I'm just curious.

A friend told me about them a year (maybe even longer) ago but he didn't really explain it well and it came off sounding like a pyramid scheme so i never looked into them. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago i randomly stumble onto them again but this time i look into them and i love it. Kind of kicking myself now for not realizing what they were when i first heard about them but im glad i know about them now
I'm with you on that one, I heard about them but didn't look into what they were, then I heard someone talking about them again at school and how they mine them, and I looked into it more and love it as a hobby, I also mine Litecoins as well thanks to Bitcoin.

That is a great idea!  I have a few rigs here and there around my house, strategically placed for heat during the winter months.

Why save on electricity when you can save on gas!

I have four.  Not bad.  I get a steady 220 mhash on them but I don't really push them that hard.  They are more like filler cards for the 4th slot on my rigs cuz my PSUs can't handle four 5850, but they can handle three 5850 and one 6850 under clocked a little.

I think you can unlock shaders and get more performance out of them.

Thanks for the input, I probably won't push mine to hard either, it's just a fun project, and I think I'll use the excess heat from the cards to keep my hedgehog warm, she has to stay at 72 Degrees minimum.

I'm planning on starting a small rig just for the fun of it, definitely not looking to make a profit, I would like to be able to expand upon it so I was wanting to get opinions on the Sapphire HD 6850.

Thanks everyone I'm excited to be here.
