Because bitcoin is the new gold of this generation, people tend to look for safer store of value due to inflationary tendencies of fiat money and also central banks manipulation, so they see bitcoin as the most valuable asset to maintain value of their wealth as well as the technology behind it is at par on the current global trend in terms of accessibility and ease of use which compare to gold is way way better.

Hi guys, I need your help. I want to lend in the community but first thing, I want to start it with the Filipino community. Please give me a suggestion on what to do like the basics first. I am new to this kind of business but I have a good experience in Lending business in the Physical world.
This is a very good idea, my suggestion would be to ask for collateral like digital goods or btc talk accounts, there is a btctalk account estimator you can find in the forum plus you can also ask for other social media accounts for verification purposes just to make sure. Lastly you can copy the formats being used by other lenders in the lending section. Good luck

Experience has shown that: Trading forex is very risky and most times inexperienced traders jump into trade with they hard earned money without thinking of what they going into. Please advice inexperienced trader here.!!!!!
Trading is a high risk high rewards business, so if you won't try to educate yourself first in the basics or the do's and don'ts of trading and just jump in and make trades then you're in for trouble and bound to lose all your money, so my advice is if you really want to be a trader, be a learner first.

Indeed and compare it to Portugal which decriminalized drugs, and the results were surprising, because drug usage in fact falls dramatically when it's legal. It seems humans really have a crave for something illegal.
If the drugs are legalized, then the scope for the drug cartels evaporate. Actually, it is the drug cartels which encourage or force young people to use hard drugs such as heroin and cocaine. Without their presence, the usage is going to decline. Legal drugs can only be light. It can be assumed with a strict control of the state. Otherwise simply can not be. There is no need to legalize the hard drugs. If soft-drugs such as cannabis and peyote are legalized, then no one will seek hard drugs such as heroin and meth. The soft-drug trade can be nationalized, and this will bring additional revenues for the state. But Portugal legalized the use of heroin and the results were positive meaning the number of heroin users dropped substantially plus HIV infection was also indirectly addressed because the procedure was done in a government sanctioned clinics and the heroin user is monitored by doctors during the whole session to avoid being overdose and syringes to be contaminated.

I constantly hear people arguing for mining as opposed to buying and holding or vice versa as better investment strategy - is there any reliable source of information that compares the two over an extended period of time?
By simply looking at bitcoin's price history, you can already see that price grew by 75% compare to december 2015 and by that alone you can already assume buy and hold strategy was the better investment against bitcoin mining already, because there's no maintenance cost, no time consuming monitor needed, etc.

Do you watch a team that you bet while playing? or you better not watch for fear of later when the team. if I personally see the team but if the team is starting to look to lose I will turn off my television
i have mostly made bets on e-sports games and i have always watched every single game that i have ever watched either through the game client itself with commentary or through twitch TV. mostly because i believe half the fun of gambling on sports is when you watch your bet take shape and every moment is a good risky feeling. Good to see another esports enthusiast here, do you follow the current Dota 2 Boston Major? If yes, who do you think will win the whole tournament? Virtus Pro's current form seems good though.

What do you think of Raptors vs Cavs tonight ?
Better stay away from Moneyline and bet on Over Points. Like I said, Toronto Raptors comes in a large lead win against the Atlanta Hawks in their homecourt. The momentum is still there and likely there is a chance they can crash Cleveland Cavaliers in their home. Cavaliers, which came from a 3 game losing streak at the road will surely having a hard time again to steal road games against the Raptors. What I see? Expect some massive rainbow shots from both sides which will result for a high scoring game. So I consider that betting on Over Points is likely the best option. I think it's good time to bet for the cavs here tbh, considering their losing streak thus most public bets will go with the raptors and that's what wise guys always wanted and gamblers know what happened when betting against the wise guys.

Why is someone get addicted to gambling once he gamble ?
Because of GREED, when I started gambling 5 yrs ago, I was happy winning $100 and go home after that, then it became a daily routine for me to go to the casino, and that's when the problem started when I was no longer happy winning just a couple of hundred bucks, I wanted more to the point that I was already winning a lot like 10x my usual winnings but i still don't want to go home and then my luck ended, I lost way more in the process than my winnings so I ended up broke and sadly that's when the time I decided to quit when it's too late. Nowadays I still gamble but I mostly use online casinos or sportsbook now, I learned to be happy on smaller profits and stop gambling when I'm getting tilted. That is really a good story to share mate so that others including me will be enlightened to the fact that greed can let us down. It is really one of the prime reasons why we lost even me, I won couple of bitcoins already but I did not stop because of wanting to earn more and then lost all in just a split of seconds. Yeah, it was always like this and it still will be for most of the gamblers, until you lost everything and realized what would've been if you just played it smartly, and more what ifs will follow your mind but eventually somehow greed always prevail.

I always watched games of the teams I put a bet on, may it be an NBA, NFL or Esports, because it is where you will feel the excitement especially for a long time gambler like me but there will also stressful thing that comes when you lose, but well that's how gambling works though.

This on-going drug war by the government of the Philippines is bound to fail, simply because you can not prevent crime by killing and creating another crime. They should learn what happened to other countries who did launch a war on drugs but miserably fail.
That's true. I'm wondering why no one ever wants to learn from the past mistakes? Any war calls for another war and there is no end to this. The only solution is a civilized method to deal with it: do not punish the drug users and find an effective way to explain to others how bad drugs are for them. I agree 100% with your post. Look at the Mexican drug war. It has been going on for many years now, and despite costing hundreds of billions of USD and more than 100,000 deaths, there is no end in sight. The war has also spread to the neighboring countries such as Guatemala and El Salvador. Indeed and compare it to Portugal which decriminalized drugs, and the results were surprising, because drug usage in fact falls dramatically when it's legal. It seems humans really have a crave for something illegal.

That's what I'm arguing with many people who are supporting this kind of policies, it will never be effective and it will just create more criminals, the best thing the government can do here is to educate its people, follow the law and be an example.

This on-going drug war by the government of the Philippines is bound to fail, simply because you can not prevent crime by killing and creating another crime. They should learn what happened to other countries who did launch a war on drugs but miserably fail.
So what is your suggestion? Just keep the old way and just ignore the increasing volume of drugs that manufacturing in the country? The drug addicts are just killed because they are fighting back when they are arresting, And i think the extra judicial killing that happening is not made by the government, it is made by the Boss of that people that been slaughtered so that they will not testify against them. I think the drug war is effective because people in the Philippines gained fear on dealing with drugs. Only people involves on drugs/ their families are against on this drug war. Imagine china and other rich country has a death penalty on drugs abuse so how do you conclude that it will not work for just killing criminal. How can this drug war be effective if your creating another crime? So how do you address now the hundreds of murderers roaming the street? As you said those EJKs are not by the government, so aren't you bother so many people are dying without justice? How can you know if all those peole are guilty or innocent if they are already dead? My suggestion is for the government to simple just follow the rule of law and stop promoting the killings.

Why are those people in Poloniex killing the lending system, asking for 0.013% return during 2 days for amounts like 0.05BTC-0.2BTC? It's worse than what banks pay to investors...
Makes no sense to put a lot of money to receive 2000 satoshis after 2 days...
I tried lending bitcoin in poloniex at the rate of .05% because that's most of the listings had, but after 15 days my investment of .03 just earned around 25k sat less the fees and it was definitely a waste of time, the only way I see to earn there through lending is if you have at least 1000 btc to lend.

That would be very beneficial to ordinary people because there would be no inflation on currencies and the value of money will remain the same and that would mean a better purchasing power across all social status, not just the rich people.

It's a great thing to be a member of this forum, I almost invested $250 worth of zcash just last week on genesis, but decided to put it on hold, thankfully I found this thread. Never doubted that site before seeing this.
consider yourself very lucky. question everything in bitcoin and always do due diligence. Yeah i know, but I never have any doubt about genesis before though by looking at all the good reviews about them on other sites, so I'm kinda not paying attention on their credibility until I read this thread.

If you're into high risk high rewards thing then Forex trading will be suited for you because of its volatility, but not everyone is born for trading, a lot of people go broke doing this, but if you can control your greediness or risk management then you can definitely make a profit doing trading.

They way central banks manipulate inflation of currency, it is not far fetch to think a lot of people will lose confidence on fiat currencies considering you lose a lot of value on your hard earned money everytime inflations kick-in, so I for one, would definitely look on alternative ways to store my wealth without losing any value and bitcoin is a very promising solution besides precious metals.

So time to ride of you still have time plus take note on the oil prices it's also on the uptrend because OPEC will cut supplies beginning January.
