Hello. Trying to get some posting rep as a newbie! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Welcome brother - great coin and community here

Nice to see STEPS up around 3000 sat - a much more respectable price for such a promising little coin.

OK I have some steps now how do I make them stake???
Put them in the wallet and keep the wallet unlocked but encrypted. OK so I did that and it still says stake 0.00 so I just wait. Thanks again for the help. It takes 24 hours for the coins to be eligible for staking - then you must wait a further day or so for the coins to gather weight. You're welcome! Good to have you on board

Who's the shithead who just refuses to let STEPS rise? dumping every fucking hour!

Cool ty, yeah I mined on steak a bit but 10% is a high price to pay... I really appreciate the input.
So I just go buy some steps???
Yes. Yobit is the best price/volume exchange to use.

I see the web wallet is up on STEPS site. How are you planning on getting the payment gateway to work? Will STEPS be added to a site like coinpayments or will it be a custom setup? The online store will it be like ebay where people can put their items up for bid or like ETSY where you have a fixed price, or will the store be run by the devs only?
I didn't make any mention of my worries with the exchange before because TBH i didn't think STEPS would last this far. But since I have already ROI'd and development seems to be humming along fairly well I feel I can express my worries now.
Don't you think 5 minute blocktimes are too slow to run an exchange on? Look at NXT for example. They have slower block times and their decen exchange is terrible!
Bitshares 2.0 on the other hand is very responsive. But they have 3 second block times. Over 100x faster than STEPS block times.
Or will the exchange be centrally hosted with STEPS being the head currency like they do with DOT over at cryptopia?
IF the STEPS team could beat 3 second block times without implementing DPoS that would make the currency far more useful than BTS 2.0 is as everybody would be contributing to processing blocks versus BTS 2.0 where only 101 people are making all the money and processing all of the blocks.
Thank you for your well thought out post, will will provide some more information in due course. You did give us some food for thought and we will consider it. We take this project very seriously and as stressed out before Steps is here for the long term. Glad I could be of assistance. I will tweet to shapeshift see if we can get them to add STEPS. I send a tweet to shapeshift, here is their response: ShapeShift.io@ShapeShift_io @AltcoinSteps Hi, there. I have added your coin to our discovery list. If we decide to add we will announce on social channels ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) PS: We now have 569 twitter followers, very good growth for Steps!!! Awesome Andre! Also just a heads up - STEPS is half way through the 60 STEPS rewards now - within 4 days it will be 70 STEPS per block. If you haven't bought now its only going to get pricier week on week.

Great to see some buy action on STEPS tonight, its been a rough week price wise but development is still moving nicely.
Looking forward to the store!

Hey Devs - Just a little request.
Can you guys add into teh block explorer a little up or down arrow for each address to reflect transactions in and out? It would make it much easier to work out whether the top addresses are accumulating more STEPS when the coin dumps or whether it is them that is doing the dumping.

We are nearing the completion of our Version 1 of the forum. We decided to make some last minute changes and will update the community about progress over the weekend.
We would like this opportunity to ask for some community input and any suggestions will be much appreciated. We still have time to implement good suggestions. I used several open source forums like SMF (this one), phpBB and Discourse. I like the latter the most and it would be nice to see something like that. It would be even better to see you use a "homebrew" one, but I think that's not the kind of forum you are thinking of. It also would be nice if you could choose between eg. a light and dark theme My 2 STEPS ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) We conducted some thorough research to see which way would be the best to achieve our goals with a new forum. We do not completely agree with all the open source forum software or paid solutions. For that reason we are building our own platform from scratch and all our services will be offered in one platform. We are busy with numerous tests and it takes time to finish. We fully committed to achieve our goals and will have a secure, easy to use and modern forum. Looking forward to it - you guys are all doing a great job, we are all behind you!

The dumping of a coin I hold a great deal off would normally concern me - but here, it really doesn't.
I will not sell today, or tomorrow or a couple of months down the line. Why would I? As time goes by the Devs will add more and more to the coin increasing its value and its desirability. Hand in hand with this the block rewards increase. I might only be getting 3 or 4 blocks a day right now - but when those blocks are worth 200+ STEPS each and STEPS is inevitably over 10,000 sat, that's when an investment now really pays off.
Too many people invested here wanting a quick pump n dump - You need to dump and cash out I'm afraid. the sooner you people sell up the sooner the coin can be redistributed to those truly interested in it.

my netweight is actually between 0.5 and 1%. my chunks are divided in 5k packages. last stake was 36h ago.
i think i have to buy more... much more
Staking has certainnly become more difficult over the past week. some days I don't a block at all - with over 100,000 coins in over 100 inputs.

Not in this context. You don't say you have been "working effortlessly". That phrase would only remotely make sense if you said you have been performing a hard task or skill effortlessly as an indication that these things are easy for you where others would require effort. No one wants to hear from their accountant "I've been working effortlessly". The ordinary meaning of that phrase is either your job requires no effort or your putting in no effort. Which, if you think about it, probably isn't what the dev intended to say.

Cannot wait for Polo to add STEPS! This is will be exactly what we need, loads of volume - splitting all steps across Yobit, C-Cex and Polo. Moon time!

Everything is looking A-OK in my books keep up the good work team and community
Yep the incrementally increasing stake rewards are doing their job - increasing price AND demand.

Wow what a last 24 hours for STEPS!!! Seems we are gaining major traction! Stake those STEPS & tweet them exchanges!!! they gonna have 2 take notice soon!!! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) The number of totally shit coins that are on Bittrex - it won't be long before a proper coin like STEPS gets added.

New Idea for the devs: Any way we could set up a section on the website that allows users to purchase Amazon, Newegg, Steam gift vouchers with STEPS?
We are very very hard on this idea and more updates will follow soon. NOXT app have the ability to purchase amazon vouchers and there will be more options soon. Currently NOXT is in beta testing and not public, more updates on this will follow soon. Great to hear - looks like just the APP the crypto community needs. Giving a real use to these coins,.
