121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Chain Could Send Ethereum Price Back to Double-Digits: Analyst on: April 26, 2019, 12:00:02 PM
it doesn't matter in my opinion. ethereum is still the same centralized token with a huge supply with no cap that is doomed to go down in the long run but it won't happen because of some other altcoin coming along, specially another fully centralized one issued by an exchange!
besides ETH has been losing the market for a while now, and ever since ICOs started dying ETH has been having a very hard time keeping the price up as it is. so its upcoming dumps is guaranteed and won't be because of Binance's shitcoin!
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex has been on it's journey to become great again. on: April 26, 2019, 11:40:52 AM
in a cutthroat competition when things are so close and everyone is hard at work to push the others (the competition) out of the game and take their place, when you lose your place it is over. taking it back is near impossible and based on what i have been seeing Poloniex is constantly losing its position when you look at their volume and the fact that they have increasingly made it difficult for people to use their platform with all their rules, KYC, AML,... and basically verification. i don't see them coming back ever again to become half great.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop badmouthing new projects on: April 26, 2019, 11:05:08 AM
people aren't doing that for no reason, the new projects are actually horrible that is why everyone hates them. for a very long time now we are not seeing good projects come out anymore. in the past 2 years there has been at least 2000 new projects and only 1 or 2 of them were decent enough to be called a "cryptocurrency" the rest of the 1998 projects were pure shitcoins with majority of them being ICOs or any alternative name they call it these days like IEO...
otherwise all of us are desperately waiting for good projects to come out and start actually competing with bitcoin instead of pump and dump coins that advertise fake competition that doesn't exist and vanish when they are done pumping.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BNB the Next Bitcoin? on: April 26, 2019, 10:53:51 AM
it is like asking if dog shit is the next gold!

BNB is useless centralized token that is controlled fully by an exchange that can get hacked any moment in which case the value of that coin (since it is centralized) would drop down to zero in an instant. and you still are insisting on comparing that with decentralized bitcoin!
not to mention that if you bothered checking the volume you can see the BNB only had a high volume during its pump and ever since its dump began everyone is jumping ship...
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The right time for investment? on: April 26, 2019, 10:44:32 AM
bitcoin is always good for a long term investment because it has a good future ahead of itself and it is all because it is offering actual utilities that are used in the real world.

altcoins are all good and bad at the same time you only have to have a good timing. which means buying those that are getting pumped and selling them as soon as the pump was over so that you are not caught under the large scale dump that comes after each pump.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LESS REWARD on: April 24, 2019, 01:18:55 PM
the rewards they were giving to their bounty hunter slaves have never been good from the beginning if you consider the value of the time they were wasting to advertise all of these scam projects. of course if you don't value your time then it was good!
otherwise the only case where a bounty hunter could make a decent amount was if he got lucky and that shittoken got pumped right after he could dump his coin and only if they dumped it on time otherwise if (like 90% of them) fell for the scam and held on to that shittoken they lost all of their money.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is Becoming a Crypto Monopoly on: April 24, 2019, 01:08:50 PM
it is best that we also discuss the solutions to the problems at hand. the problem is not just with the monopoly, that is not a serious thing in my opinion as it is a passing fancy. throughout the past couple of years this position of power has changed hand at least 4 times! and it will change hand soon again.

the bigger problem is all the shadiness and the huge risk that all the traders take by using these platforms. the solution to all this is not that simple either, although it exists. the solution is distancing ourselves with anything centralized and moving towards true decentralization (again not centralized exchanges disguising as decentralized like Binance DEX!!!)
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this another drama ? on: April 24, 2019, 12:38:22 PM
do you believe with John McAfee, if he already know who is the real Satoshi Nakamoto ?

take a look at John McAfee's history, he has been seeking attention for a very long time and he has been using anything he can to gain that attention so that he can make money of that attention. with this little statement he has gained a huge attention that he has been failing to gain for months. now he is just milking that attention as much as he can. he has no more information about SN than you and I have.

by the way this is bitcoin discussion and not altcoin so you are posting in wrong board.
there are also multiple topics discussing this already in the respective boards!
129  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Different Multi-Signature Address For Same Pair Of Public Key? on: April 24, 2019, 12:27:35 PM
And The question is Why?
Why With A Pair Of Public Key, With The Same Type Of Multisig, The Address Is Different? Isn't That Will Confusing?

it is because what you call your multi signature "address" is the result of hash of a script. and when you put the public keys in a different order the data you are hashing is different so the result of the hash is different and finally the address is different.
hash of
52<pubkey1><pubkey2>52ae
is different from hash of
52<pubkey2><pubkey1>52ae

in Electrum by default, when you give it a set of public keys to make an address, it first sorts them (lexicographically) so that no matter what order you give them to the wallet, it always produces the same result.
which is why when everyone here is testing with your public keys they are always getting the same result. but when you use another tool (like those websites) you get two different results.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop paying crazy tx fees(!) I paid only 1.9sat/B when pool asked me for 100+ on: April 14, 2019, 01:00:42 PM
~snip~

i think everyone has to compare their wallet's suggestion with real fees of transactions in the mempool first before they can make a conclusion about whether it is giving them an appropriate suggestion or not.
this site has been great for visualizing the memory pool and analyzing the fees: https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/
If they do compare then they will never end up paying 4950% increased fees (101 sat/B where you could spend 2 sat/B) :-)

sometimes people don't know they are overpaying though. the point was that they simply trust their wallets. why shouldn't they? it was supposed to work properly. and i can say that sometimes the developers may not even be aware of it since nobody reports it to them and everyone just complains about high fees!
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop paying crazy tx fees(!) I paid only 1.9sat/B when pool asked me for 100+ on: April 14, 2019, 11:35:17 AM
one of the biggest problems is that most wallets (blockchain.info, some of the mobile wallets,... even the account types like coinbase) are over estimating the fees and users usually trust that their wallet must be correct so they end up paying what is suggested to them not knowing they are paying more than they should.

i think everyone has to compare their wallet's suggestion with real fees of transactions in the mempool first before they can make a conclusion about whether it is giving them an appropriate suggestion or not.

132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Delisting of BSV from ALL exchanges. take a look! on: April 14, 2019, 11:30:02 AM
So for claiming that Craig is a scammer and not Satoshi at all,
it is not a claim it is stating of the fact. it is like suing someone for saying bitcoin is capped at 21 million Cheesy

Quote
I appreciate the answer of CZ (Binance's CEO), Pompliano  and many others, supporting the freedom of speach and asking for the delisting of BSV (monopolized by Craig) in every exchange.
i would only take them seriously if they really delisted BSV and not just trolled on twitter to advertise their exchange Wink

Quote
The chances of BSV dropping to 0,0$ is really high.. if i were you, i would cahs out.
if i were those who own BSV i would dump it either way even if it wasn't delisted. the thing about shitcoins is that you should never bag hold them. the only thing they are good for is a short term pump and dump and nothing more.

Quote
when we reach 1th may and every exchange delists BSV!
why wait that long? are the exchanges waiting to squeeze all the profit they can out of this shitcoin before they move ahead with the delisting?
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Young africa looks crypto for payment on: April 14, 2019, 11:05:08 AM
there has been a lot of bitcoin adoption in a couple of third world countries around the world. a lot of places in Africa, the Indian continent, Venezuela, Iran,... have been showing an increasing interest in bitcoin. in some cases it is even faster and bigger than the adoption in the advanced countries!
but i have not yet seen any altcoin adoption anywhere in any of these countries or anywhere else for that matter. the only altcoin adoption that i have seen so far has been investors buying them before they get pumped to make profit and some gambling sites allowing you to gamble your altcoins away. but nothing else.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is so great on: April 14, 2019, 10:48:32 AM
He also made many people millionaires billionaires and changed  a lot of people destiny

well i am glad for you if you made some money from bitcoin but what you said here has never really been the intention of Satoshi when he created bitcoin or the intention of anybody else who started using bitcoin.
the main goal of bitcoin was to create a decentralized payment system that no government can control, limit or manipulate in any ways they do with the centralized payment systems.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are centralized exchanges still dominating the crypto space? on: April 14, 2019, 10:31:27 AM
Now the real question is why this is happening, since after all, Satoshi intended Bitcoin to be free from middleman or third parties?

bitcoin IS decentralized and free from middleman or third parties. the fact that some people choose to trade bitcoin and do that on centralized exchanges does NOT change this fact.

as for why they choose them is mainly because no matter how much you try some people will never want to change so they will keep going back to their centralized ways that they are used to. any other market is centralized like stocks market so they want to have the same feeling so they choose centralized exchanges. these types of people are only in here for profit making.
136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are We Witnessing The Start Of Another Bull Run? on: April 13, 2019, 01:02:05 PM
we have been seeing the new bull run for a while now. it is just that people don't want to accept it because they are either new to the market or have become so accustomed to the way things were in 2017 and at the peak of the bitcoin bubble. but the market can not be always like that.
other times we will see this type of slower rises that take a couple of weeks to come to a conclusion specially when it is the start of the reversal and the first step of the rise it will be slower.

and by the way when bitcoin rises, altcoins get dumped they don't go up with bitcoin!!!
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BitcoinSV will be delisting from binance on: April 13, 2019, 12:48:03 PM
to me it seems more like social media drama that only belongs on Twitter and Reddit and there is no reality to it. Craig Wright who created the shitcoin known as BSV  didn't start scamming yesterday! he has been scamming for nearly 2 years now so if Binance CEO really cared about these things they wouldn't have added this coin to their platform in first place!!!

Could be, i haven't followed Wright because he annoys me but has he really done something like doxing and threatening before in the past while his coin was in the Binance?

i don't remember exact cases but he has threatened people who spoke against him in the past multiple times.
but mainly what i meant by "scam" was the identity theft that he pulled a couple of years ago and tried to steal Satoshi Nakamoto's identity which is a clear form of scam. there are other types of fraud that he has been performing including tax fraud,...

a big dump will coming to bitcoinSV if binance delisting this coin ?
what do you think guys ?
i think it is obvious! just like when they list something and it temporarily pumps, when they delist it then the coin will get dumped hard.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is still productive on: April 13, 2019, 10:57:31 AM
i can only agree with half of the things you said and strongly disagree with the rest.
it is correct that you should do your own research, look at the volume or more specifically look at the market and charts instead of the nonsense online on forums and groups that are doing pump and dumps. but it is very bad idea to invest in "top altcoins" because they are no different from other altcoins with lower market cap. the only reason why 90% of them are on top is because they have manipulated their supply to get a bigger market cap and stay on top otherwise they would have been at above rank 100 already.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STO vs ICO - FIGHT! on: April 13, 2019, 10:45:27 AM
So recently I cam across this article in regards to Germany's first STO backed by the German financial regulation authority called Bitbond. What do you think about the evolution of ICOs? Do you see it as a positive or a negative?

the owners saying they have some sort of fake permission or something like that doesn't mean their fund raising is backed by anything. it just means they might have found a way to get some sort of permission, maybe under false pretense.

and this is not evolution of fund raising.
the evolution will only happen when at least one of these ICO/STO/IEO/XYZs actually do something and contribute to betterment of the world, the betterment of cryptocurrencies or deliver some sort of product.
and so far in the past 4 years we have not seen a single one do anything remotely close to that...
