As far as I know this coin is pure POS, don't know what are you talking about with POW. Maybe is just a typo.. The coin is pure POS. He's referring to folding at home project. The 1337 foundation let's you earn some coins by joining their folding at home team (donating your computing power to scientific research). This has of course nothing to do with POW or actually mining 1337. |

the more coins you have the more you will get back from staking. if you hover your mouse at the bottom of the wallet where it shows stake weight. keep an eye on the network stake weight. if it increases it means that more coins are being staked by the whole network. so ppl are buying from exchanges and then sending to their wallets to stake
Yeah, that's what I thought was happening. I was staking pretty good everyday, but now getting a lot less than I used to. You have to understand that this does not really make a difference in terms of your earnings. It is correct that it takes longer to get a stake, when the overall network weight is higher. But this does not (!) affect the APR, meaning that you get a higher payout if it takes you longer to stake. So not really a loss... |

I have fairly stable connection, but once or twice a day i get i new IP , so the connection is lost there for a second or two...does it affect the staking process?
As far as I know you can stake even without network, just need to get connection in order to get transaction. So your stake grows as long as your client is working, but needs connection in order to use the stake for creation of a new block (transaction mentioned before). Can confirm this! |

can i shut down my Laptop during staking?
with 20K it might take some time until you get stake rewards. to actually earn the stake, your wallet needs to be online, but your stake weight will increase, even if your wallet is offline. |

I don't see a problem with the new suggested interest rate as a similar coin in ZEIT went down the path of a low rate and look at what that coin has been able to achieve. Its price has been holding steady for many months now since dropping to a lower rate. Its not always about the rate that a coin is giving but what the coin has to offer in the way of future developments which I believe 1337 coin has. We just need to be patient as I believe 1337 coin will do well in the long term.
Believing in a coin is one thing, but that just means I don't sell it. I think what has been overlooked so far is the network stability. If the APR is too low, people will stop leaving there wallets permanently open for staking. That might be really bad for the network itself... |

Without a somewhat high percentage rate, a lot of those who love staking will be less attracted to it. 1.337% a year is really like saying nothing.
I tend to agree with that. Also I think 13 % could be controlled in the long run. With regular burning events or burning connected to the FAH payouts it shouldn't be a problem to decrease the supply by that amount per year. |

Hi, I know I'm missing something here and I apologize in advance. What is the total number of coins in circulation? Block explorer and CMC not matching up with the nearly 2 billion coins for sale on Cryptopia alone. Seems paradoxical.

1. One person that goes by the nickname (Lady Whale) owns almost 70% of the supply, hidden in several wallets including cryptopia's wallet. This is extremely bad duo to 51%+ attack as well as being able to cause artificial price rises or market manipulation. Some images show that Ladywhale admit she can manipulate the market and that alone is huge.  2. The supply is 38 Billion coins with a current APR of 20% (down from 1337%). Yes, previously the APR was 1337%, meaning a few people got rich and control almost all the supply. your first two points are already completely wrong. why would anyone bother looking at the rest supply is 25 billion and lady owns 30 %, not 70. maybe try too understand what the columns in the table you posted mean. or use a blockchain explorer instead of some random screenshots... https://chainz.cryptoid.info/1337/#!wallets

Following the new thread. Everything works fine on my side apart from a transaction I made from my wallet to cryptopia, which hasn't appears yet (10 days now)! Hopefully it will appear soon.
I believe Cryptopia is still updating to the new wallet version. I could be wrong but that could be the reason why you haven't seen your deposit show up on there. @xenonflux Do you have a list of all the exchanges that are on the right wallet version and are fully synced up with the right blockchain as I wanted to buy some more 1337 coins but was not sure which exchange is up to date with the right wallet. What does it mean when it says generated but not accepted?
it means you found a block but it was rejected by the network because someone else was a bit faster with finding it. this is normal, happens from time to time. next time you find a block, your stake reward will be bigger, so you don't loose anything by that. |
