124  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / ASICs selloff on: February 12, 2013, 08:55:58 AM
Do you think that if to many ASICs will hit the market and average it will refund itself after 4 years of constant mining, it will cause ASICs price drop down?
I think it is possible:
If there would be So many ASICs sold that difficulty will increase 200x then:
650$ cost BFL ASIC will give just 17$ per month so 38 months to refund tool, if you want add electricity and financial cost.
In this case I think that lots of ppl will think: "If I have to wait 4 years to start earning, I'll cash ASICs now and quit (like pope now:)) .
Then they will have to sell ASICs cheaper Smiley
ehh how edge profitably mining is nowadays
125  Bitcoin / Hardware / BFL 1/3 plan on: February 06, 2013, 07:37:06 PM
I just get it today

" A paid preorder placed recently/soon will likely ship in May.

Of course if we find that we can assemble and ship them sooner we will.

The 1/3 shipping plan refers to those preorders placed before July 23, 2012."

form BFL
I'm really pissed off because I placed my orders couple of days ago and make each piece separate order with separate shipment to increase my chances.

They clearly claim about their 1/3 shipping program on their web page.
Could someone from US tell me if it is possible to sue them if they won't include me in lottery?

127  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Canceling transaction problem. on: February 05, 2013, 02:44:56 PM
OK, I menaged to do it myself.
I used backup of this wallet two transactions ago (outgoing) and replaced it, and it is ok.
128  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Canceling transaction problem. on: February 05, 2013, 11:22:50 AM
If this was your last transaction you can just restore the wallet from backup.

Do you mean by that, that my transaction wasn't send into network?

130  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Canceling transaction problem. on: February 05, 2013, 11:16:36 AM
I wanted to buy from BFL clicked on payment by BitPay, copy paste address into bitcoin-qt and send.
But then, I noticed that I'm firewall-ed and there is no connection with bitcoin network.
After that I switched to my mobile phone connection, then some block synchronized and I though my transaction will get out but after couple of blocks I realized that mobile connection is to slow and I wont get blocks synchronized till tomorrow.
I get following msg from bitpay:
"Invoice Expired Your invoice has expired. Do not send any more payments to this address."

But can I stop somehow this transaction?

I have turned off bitcoin-qt.
Recipient address was 1NcaC45RPmxbStkxinvqjRgxPGC8nmNMCt but there is nothing.

Is there any way to cancel transaction?
Is it transmitted into network?

Please help

132  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should i allocate 100% of my savings to bitcoin ? on: February 04, 2013, 02:05:58 PM
YES do it.

100%
Another question is how to buy it (some chunks or sth?)

133  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASIC from POLAND on: February 04, 2013, 12:55:39 PM
He said it's UMC65nm.
http://www.umc.com/english/process/a.asp
65nm like BFL, could be nice.
I just wonder how fast could you deliver it to the market, it's crucial.
And last but not least is implementing cutting edge algorithm optimization into chip, as I know prof. Łuba in Warsaw is a good specialist, but there are probably more of them.

I'm really excited that there is sth. going on here in Poland about that.

134  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASIC from POLAND on: February 04, 2013, 12:29:30 PM

Hi, Is it real?
Let me check it, I'm Computer Engineering from Warsaw.
Hope you mean ASIC, not FPGA? And which process could you manage?
Could you send me your phone number and I'll call you back?
mateusz.kowalczyk@universalunit.net

I'm taking you serious.

Czy to jest prawdziwe?
Pozwól mi to sprawdzić. Skończyłem inzynierię komputerową i jestem z Warszawy.
Mam nadzieję że masz na myśli ASIC a nie FPGA? I jaki proces technologiczny masz na myśli?
Możesz mi podesłać numer do Ciebie, to oddzwonię.
mateusz.kowalczyk@universalunit.net

PS biorę Cie serio
135  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Avalon ASIC Batch #2 Sales Update (Last Updated 2013-02-03 3:03 EST) on: February 03, 2013, 02:01:31 PM
OP Updated with new information

[Update 2013-02-03 3:03 EST]

All orders which have paid the full and proper amount for each Avalon unit will be honored. This means if your order said 0.05BTC and you later paid the correct amount (~75BTC) that your order will be fulfilled. Please create a support ticket with Avalon to confirm your order details with them personally. The remaining Avalon units will be going on sale tomorrow.

Yes, when exactly?

Also, does "tomorrow" mean Sunday the 3rd or Monday the 4th?

What time exactly?
137  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hey is it over avalon batch 2 is done? on: February 02, 2013, 09:30:49 PM
There were massive problems with payment processing.  The plan at this point is to refund orders where the payments didn't process properly and make those units available for sale at a later date.  People who ordered and whose payments weren't processed properly are extremely pissed off about that proposal, so who knows how they'll eventually handle this.

You're best checking the Custom Hardware forum for up to date information on this.

I just simply slept over that.
But
Have they sold all 600 (counting in this with payment problems) ?

Is there any official info?

Could you point me some specific thread about it? I could find it.
