121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to choose hi or lo in dice games ? what you have in mind when you gamble ? on: February 08, 2017, 06:03:28 PM
Promised to post my method of choice so here it is :

Abstracting hi/lo decision , How to do it and Why

I will present it with one simple example :

If manual play i use an external random source , dice , crystal ball , random.org random lists etc
For auto-bet within most gambling sites i go with small sessions and external source again
With scripts or gambling bot programs i set hi/low flag = randint(0,1) or similar (Pseudorandom)

I choose carefully my bet sizes with main goal session length than profit. (IT IS FOR FUN RIGHT?)
I love to play difficult to come Payouts with chances lower than 1% (warning : dont do it at home)

Devils advocate says :Your life ,your money ,Why you complicate things so much ?

ACTUALLY what i am doing is to remove the annoyance, regrets and add more fun.
Some days the game will give you high-er other days will give you low-er.
of course we do not know what is coming and we stress our minds to make an unnecessary
decision , let it ride is best because no matter what it is to come ,we are covered.

In real life , you choose by logic and some days are good ,other days are bad but you always
can think 'damn i count wrong, i click other than i was thinking for , etc

There is more i can write but i will wait your replies at first , have a nice day and good (pure) luck.

123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to choose hi or lo in dice games ? what you have in mind when you gamble ? on: February 07, 2017, 04:08:57 PM
Picking high or low won't make odds different, so you are free to choose between them in whatever way you want, or just pick any of them with no criteria.

Try rolling a dice or reading a crystal ball to choose, if you really want a funny way to decide

Awesome post, too much content in few lines !
my comments :
@ Picking high or low won't make odds different = You have right 100%
@ so you are free to choose between them in whatever way you want = of course you are free but
the question is what way YOU want or like to share with us Smiley
@ or just pick any of them with no criteria. = THIS IS WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR !!
the full question i try to form is how you pick with no criteria and why is better or worst than
any other possible method to assist you and us to at least less annoyance from the dilemma
@ Try rolling a dice or reading a crystal ball to choose = Good but not practical for long sessions Yeah  Grin
@ if you really want a funny way to decide = good plus 'funny' element in a game we always say we play
for fun and ... ... profit -- BEST POST SO FAR Mr Karpeles. Thank you.

I know that's stupid buy I choose whether it will be hi or lo after analizing the previous results. If I had 3 greens in a row on lo, I will definitely bet hi next time although I know it's not necessary the right choice.
dont worry it is not stupid , it is normal average human behavior against random events
stay with us ,you will enjoy this little casual discussion i can forsee that. thank you for posting

A million thank you , you made my day with your replies and feedback

i am a week away from Hero (potential activity) and i manage to make half post per day in average
i care for my threads a lot and i love to see in topic replies ,this thread here has a great start ,thank you all  Roll Eyes

124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to choose hi or lo in dice games ? what you have in mind when you gamble ? on: February 07, 2017, 01:34:09 PM
First thing is, that 2 choices are very annoying for me  Cheesy when I clicked Lo a result goes to Hi and vice versa. It makes me felt regret cuz why I didn't choose Hi instead of Lo. So I just click to one choice (Lo or Hi) until I'm done and don't regret, it just makes you burden with these loses.
'i just click'.. <-- the core of this hard question HI or LO ?
i don't even think about that much!
it is a game of complete randomness and luck and since i am not a superstitious guy i don't usually think about whether i bet hi or lo!
although i change it from time to time just to make things interesting and not always have the same bet Cheesy
and i have to admit in the first days i used to test it to see if there is any difference if i make a hi bet or lo bet, but it really doesn't matter.
'i used to test it'.. i made 10 mil dice bets before this post (*lol @ me*)
my friend has tell to me that when you register at new sites and first bets results always be lo and indeed i did several times try to bets lo for the first time on several dice sites and it works for me but i think this game is pure of luck and even so popular but i don't really like it because very difficult to get profit from playing dice
fair enough but almost all games are asking same questions (red/black,yes/no,odd/even etc)
well its really annoying if you choose your preferred bets and the results turned to other side, this type of games really relied with your luck as we keeps on playing we are waiting for the luck to ride with us, you can only win if you know when to stop, really an easy game that doesn't needed any skills just luck and pure luck...
any ideas about our question here? it is annoying , agreed 101%  Grin
I never think when i choose lo rather than hi or vice versa, since each bet is independent. Usually, when i'm rolling in dice, i just choose hi (always hi) or lo (always lo) instead of hi lo hi lo or lo hi lo hi (zig zag).
'each bet is independent'.. you say ,interesting , thank you and tell us more
Dice is a game of luck and its best you keep your losses to the minimum or try different gambling strategies like the popular martingale if you have a good amount of bitcoins
dear Pamoldar ,you missed the topic so far, thank you and welcome in our fun thread

Thank you ALL so far for the feedback,  Grin
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / how to choose hi or lo in dice games ? what you have in mind when you gamble ? on: February 07, 2017, 10:26:46 AM
this can be a fun thread
let me explain what the subject is ...

dice as gambling game is the most popular game for bitcoin/altcoin ecosystem.
but it has some unique properties never found in other classic gambling games.
no matter what is the payout/chance you bet on or the amount ,most critical
decision you can make is to choose  --- Hi(gher) or Lo(wer) than .. blah blah

so i welcome all of you to share your thoughts about how you are making that choice ?
since it is a game usually we play for 1000s of rolls each session you may leave this
decision to autobet or gambling scripts/bots or (..reply how..)  Grin

Elias.C.

PS:i will share my thoughts here too but i am too shy to start first.  Roll Eyes
126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to sign a message?! on: January 31, 2017, 03:23:06 PM
for starters thank you very much for this awesome guide here.
It proves to me you are a person who cares/loves BTC ecosystem and the forum community  Grin

my mind running wild for decades ,and i love to provide ideas and problem solutions
this time for some days i try to find a decentralized 2FA-like procedure
it is a little brick from a bigger project/vision , nvm , here is the question :

anyone can get a new bitcoin address , no need to register any private data/mail etc for that.
in this thread i see you supplied ways to sign and verify messages for that bitcoin address.
many people are concerned about their privacy , and many well established bitcoin sites
asking too much private data already . some months now a new trend came in haste 2FA
the mainstream applications to 2FA so far are big well established companies like Google etc.
such huge companies not care much for freedom of money or privacy for users.

example: i have account nicknamed Me322 at xxx66xxx.ccc site with a password *****
i make a new bitcoin address 1bn... and i sign a message sent to the site as 2FA reference
when me or the site needs to check through 2FA i simply reply signing a new message

register 2fa //signed message from add xxx blah blah//
sign-in with 2fa //signed message : blah blah ... //

question i have for you is : did i miss something or did you see security flaws or ...  Roll Eyes potential ?

Have a nice day and thanks in advance - Elias C.

127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: January 29, 2017, 02:46:16 PM
i heard long time ago a story about a gambler who won one evening a big for his standards amount.
he ran next morning and rent a shop ,invested as fast everything and made his dream to own a business true.
i do not know what happened to him but at least he invest his earnings ,perhaps he end rich  Grin

for me i can say after 4 decades of gambling i am rich only in good memories ,casinos/race tracks/gambling houses
are good playgrounds ,after some years the least a gambler cares is for money , GIMME excitement yeah  Roll Eyes

Have a nice day @all and please if you have a chance RUN with the profits out and enjoy spending/investing em

128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: under construction - brief description on: January 29, 2017, 01:08:34 PM
brief description

decentralized virtual world with money-games and various e-currency services ,
a fun activity each and every day with a low cost entry fee ,competitive pvp
interaction ,scale-able up to earth's population multiplayer ,without the need
of huge infrastructure ,zero-sum or +EV games with provably RANDOM ,blah blah

/disclaimer/ this is my dream , and here in this thread is one more attempt
to make it reality .it can be done only if i can gather a compatible community.

i will try to explain a bit ,breaking that dream brief description in pieces.

decentralized
lets see what are the elements of online games involving money.
at first there is a home site ,servers waiting for user input 24/7
those servers provide instantly responses and results ,calculating
game state and managing resources ,many people working @ site too.
...
that reminds me bitcoin/alt-coins versus banks incident.
lets make an hypothesis here, say i made this game finally (*u wish!*)
in order to achieve decentralization i must be able when the whole
thing find its route ,to stay out of management and enjoy the games.
i love to talk with examples ,so lets see what we can do about.
a)user input - let users post in this forum, send pm/mails to agents or
talk in public chat channels (private mode) or even face to face RL.
b)random events - there are already many official long running draws
i have in mind a national keno lottery ,we may find many anytime.
c)gathering/processing user input - agents will be able to write
transactions either on a dedicated public ledger or we use/revive
a well written alt-coin since bitcoin is already very very BUSY Smiley
processing and extracting results/statistics will be a program anyone
will be able to download and run anytime, or a virtualBox appliance
d)money management - as bitcointalk user i love escrows ,they really
contribute a lot and for this project they can have a key role.
if user-base grows a voucher system supported from escrow-teams and/or
trusted sites ,so we may get faster,friction-less transactions later.

i may forget to cover some of decentralization challenges but here in
this thread i welcome in topic comments/suggestions ,the thread is
moderated only because i do not like posts with huge length due to
nested quoting , i want to hear your voice (text) only.

prologue

i love numbers and random since i was 5 yo boy, after 47 years and
because of money-freedom e-currencies providing to all of us ...
i am confident i can setup and manage a dream game for me and you all.
i can recall myself playing any gambling game i found all those
years , partly because i love gambling but also because i love the
fight with variance and unknown ,did i sound addicted ? (*lol*)

i dived into bitcoin/altcoin scene 15 months ago and i have zero
regrets ,most of my endless free time well 'wasted' or as i like
to call 'invested' for fun and experience and some good new friends.

dont look my gambling stats please, simple fact is i bought zero
coins all those months , got a little profit of 300-400 euros.
a dollar per day profit , how amazing this e-paradise of BTC yeah.

i had the privilege to work as (evil and bad overall) moderator at
crypto-games.net for 8 months,retired for personal reasons, i can
publicly state --'thank you Kewl and Joter ,i wish u best'---

personal reasons sounds wrong without explanation,so i can type
the main reason to quit such good daily activity in short.
i have a dream to make a playground for gamblers like me and
besides how great was every single day at the house side ,i felt
to lose interest ,i found myself playing without any feeling ,
a simple human bot clicking and setting auto-bet options all day.
that is not the games to blame really , it was my fault because
i am by nature very rigid to share my mind in more than one thing.
it was the moderator-me with fault so i killed him (schizo?!)

a simple teaser , i love abstractions so i will tell you :
Look Mom ! i can make a gambling game without HOUSE side.

welcome again to Eli113's world (Void for some good friends)
thread is self moderated ,i welcome ideas, greetings, suggestions
and any kind of criticism BUT avoid use of quote button .
there are many great threads out there i cant read and follow
because of nested quoting ,thank you all for reading.

note this text ^ will not be first page of this thread for
long, some old friends i have ,they know already how much i
love moving/organizing things all the time.

/disclaimer/ do not run to report this thread as not relevant please !
for starters i like to expose a little of myself ,reason is simple , i want to play into the game i am trying to make  Roll Eyes

i like in yolodice.com
is good new dice site , new gambling site
but this autobet yolodice not support or not open service take profit(maximal balance) and stop lost (minimum balance) and stop autobet until reach miniumum or maximum balance setting

limit on profit or loss is simple !
you type how much you want to win or lose.

so indirectly say you have 10 btc and you want to stop at 9 ,type under on loss 1
and if you want to win only 2 btc type under stop on win 2 Smiley

ask ethan or moderators around if you still cant get it.

Have a nice day all Smiley

you destroyed my evil plans to make 2-3 posts here agustina2  Roll Eyes

you see i barely post enough to keep my potential activity (soon potential hero LOoooL)
i prefer to open a thread like this versus posting my extra nonsense to real nonsense threads.

even as is i am more proud from what content this thread getting ,  Grin

but you have right , at least half right i guess

i will not lock it , but perhaps a moderator may move it to more appropriate section

have a nice day and thanks for posting

Elias C.

As about the question if this thread belongs here i can add a little of my experience as
faucet user, rain-catcher and moderator for over a year in gambling sites

The main population of those sites are people like me with lot of free time and not that much
of gambling bankroll - over 90% of who talks in gambling site chat are people having fun with
tiny amounts of coin , or they use faucets and finally expects some freebies like Rain/Tips

Under this perspective i made a thread with little life to go since i am not asking a catchy question ,
like 'what is the meaning of life for all of you gamblers?'

Blah blah.. ok thats enough. God bless us all !
134  Economy / Gambling / Re: rainy day at yolodice :) on: January 20, 2017, 02:39:04 PM
full of free time i found a new gambling site !
it has clean design and easy to play GUI
some interesting pages with statistics and thanks to a winning player is raining ...  Grin

note it is fast even for tiny bets of 11 satoshi , so it will cost me less than usual.

have a nice day and fun/luck @all

Nice one in advertising your own signature campaign, I think you are putting your signature space in good use then but I am not saying that it is not really allowed for me it is just an awkward move to make in making a thread with the content of campaign your SC that much! but I think I might try to play just one game to get some experience with Yolodice a bit.

i am not in campaign , and yes there is ref link but you can review my post history and see
it is not about profit, more is because i really like this site.

thank you for your gentle comments, have a nice day Smiley

PS: warning there is my ref link there !! play big and i promise i will giveaway back.
