121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people use so many Bitcoin wallets? on: September 28, 2016, 01:14:36 AM
Personally I do not want to have my BTC all in one place.  Due to constant hacking and theft I would rather spread it out. The most secure is a paper wallet.
122  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-27] Blockchain Just Made Some New Friends in Congress on: September 28, 2016, 01:12:58 AM
Wow, this is great news.  Seeing members of Congress names next to "blockchain" is interesting.  We are on our way. Great article.
123  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Bitcoin Mixing legal for US citizens? on: September 28, 2016, 01:11:14 AM
This is a gray area.  I am not sure why it would be illegal but I am not certain they have come as far as saying it is legal. The only legal implications come in is when you sell BTC for a profit and turn into USD.  Correct me if I am wrong.
124  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legalization of Bitcoins on: September 28, 2016, 01:09:39 AM
Legalization of bitcoin is an interesting issue and differs across continents.  I believe you have to pay taxes once you sell the bitcoins for "regular currency", eg USD.  If you are sending them from a wallet to an exchange I do not believe there is a tax liability until you officially take profits by converting them into the currency of your country.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★DigiByte|极特币★★[DGB]✔DigiByte Gaming - CS:GO, LoL, #DigiByteTip, DigiSpeed on: September 28, 2016, 01:05:41 AM
FirstBlood is a peer-to-peer (p2p) gaming platform offering competitors the opportunity to win tokens by challenging each other to skill-based games like League of Legends, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and DOTA 2.

and after 3 years dgb only reward in 3 games... firstblood did and win the game round.

dgb RIP right now... no future for dgb in games

Let's see where firstblood is in 2 months

i think it's more interesting win money than get reward playing... imagine play a game and win the opponent money... it's the dream of all gamers.

this is what is lacking in games. it's the step who miss in games.

i think most part of dgb investor where waiting about that (or thought about that) .... and firstblod did

INteresting what you are saying here, winning the opponents money.  I hope to see DGB deal with this.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: September 26, 2016, 03:33:52 PM
i hope so but does not look that way right now

Read back over the threads.

I have heard people call it dead for 2 years, yet it just keeps on going up in the long run. Also, just look above on this page.  Some really amazing things are being planned and worked on.  NEM is a long game.

Agree, NEM is a long term hold and project.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XRP] Global Settlement Network, LOW COST - BITLICENSE APPROVED on: September 26, 2016, 02:27:31 PM
Banks make deals with ripple labs but none of them will use xrp. XRP is only a test. No one will use it. Don't be fooled.

could you please explain this further?
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is sick again on: September 26, 2016, 01:19:17 PM
I see that the wallet is under maintenance on Bittrex this morning again.  What is going on this time?
129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price? on: September 26, 2016, 01:17:41 PM
It is nice and quiet right now  Cool  I speculate that after all of the election mayhem that things will pick up, on the upward for BTC.  When the price is not fluctuating all over the place it means stability which is a good thing for BTC.
130  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-26] Bitcoin expert: All ICOs are scams on: September 26, 2016, 01:11:49 PM
Good read, and mostly correct.  There was a lot of hyped projects this year that went nowhere with questionable tactics by the devs. Hopefully 2017 will be free of ICO ripoffs.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: September 26, 2016, 01:03:22 PM
Yes, hopefully so.  It would make $ as we know it obsolete and it could become a global standard instead of having numerous currencies.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GEO] GeoCoin | GIS & GeoTechnologies on: September 13, 2016, 01:07:36 PM
Where is the developer active???

I dont see him active anywhere?

I think the app will only come out next year or so

I sold my bags today

He noted they are working on the app back on August 12th.  Some developers work rather than talk about working. This coin has great potential, especially since Pokemon Go has gone nuts.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GEO] GeoCoin | GIS & GeoTechnologies on: September 13, 2016, 01:00:55 PM
Could it be integrated in games with geo location and augmented reality like Pokemon or Ingress. We could collect coins in game and then spend it to in app purchases?
Perhaps the idea is not bad. But where a developer? It is necessary to discuss with him.
We need more activity on his part. The project is good.

This is a great idea and the developer is active.  The app coming out will be a boost in price.
134  Economy / Economics / Re: How would you double $100,000 safely? on: September 12, 2016, 02:27:02 PM
I cannot see how there is anyway to "safely" double $100,000 in that kind of time frame.  There are many unsafe ways - A roulette table in Las Vegas, day trading, and other high octane situations, but these are not safe.
135  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: September 12, 2016, 02:24:49 PM
Both.  Being diversified is a good idea always.  Both seem to have bright futures as we are facing currency uncertainties around the world.
136  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2.5 Years in Bitcoin and still holding. on: September 08, 2016, 05:54:33 PM
Nice job OP! Holding is difficult through all of the ups and downs.  So hard to predict what to do.  That is why I just hold.
137  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How can i pass on my bitcoins in case i die? on: September 08, 2016, 05:52:50 PM
I agree with everyone else - talk to your attorney and make sure to clearly indicate this in your will.  You are going to have to give the keys to someone so they can properly access it if god forbid something should happen to you.
138  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-07] SWIFT Institute Report Summary: Bitcoin Isn't Going Anywhere Fast on: September 08, 2016, 05:50:33 PM
Poor SWIFT boys after all this time they still fight Bitcoin.
Bitcoin was never meant to be fast, it's like water on a rock. Eventually it will carve a hole into it.

SWIFT people don't be afraid of disappear one day, you won't even realize that happened.

A big WHATEVER to SWIFT.  Looks like it is going somewhere today...
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: September 06, 2016, 05:15:02 PM
Price down to 25k. Still buying ?
25k sat is a steal deal. i bought few more and have placed buy walls at 20k sat.
I panic bought some at 26.5k, lol
Let's see how low it can go before filling another basket.

count me in on the panic buying, especially since it is under ICO price.
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: September 02, 2016, 03:09:33 PM
Yes, I believe it can bank the unbanked.  Small merchants in poor countries can easily accept bitcoin if it becomes more mainstream and easier to use for the average person. In a few countries it is illegal for women to have bank accounts, hopefully they can use bitcoin.
