You can invest into altcoins, start your own game gold shop(sell/buy runescape gold at sythe, epicnpc, etc. for example). That's pretty much all that I can tell you to do as of right now.

I think that all of the desktop wallets that are in bitcoin.org can sign messages. For online wallets,there are Coinbase and blockchain.info. I wouldn't recommend using online wallets for big amounts of bitcoin though, seeing as they are unsafe.

There's nothing saying that you can have both at the same time. i'd rather use cash, because a 1 dollar bill is a 1 dollar bill, while bitcoin prices fluctuates a lot, just look at the trends for this year's prices to figure that out.

People won't accept paypal from a newbie since there is a high risk of the money being charge-backed up to 180 days after the trade, which is also the reason why escrow wouldn't help.

I suppose it may be possible depending on the amount of bitcoins the exchange has. I don't think that you should buy large amount of BTC though, because even though bitcoin is stable now, it may not be in the future.

If I were you, I'd operate some sort of service where you can market your marketable skills. There are signature campaigns, gambling sites, and altcoins, that you may also be interested in.

If the bitcoin price of this year is anything to go by, I don't think that now is a good time to do so since bitcoin's lowest this year was ~$400-450 @ preev rate, while bitcoin price today is ~$600 @ preev rate.

Aren't they basically the same thing? If you are trading bitcoin to altcoin(for example), you are investing into an altcoin. Same as if you are trading Fiat to bitcoin. If you mean investing in loans, etc. though, then I would suggest that you go trading in commodities.

I think that holding bitcoin can be a good way to make money, but it could also be a way to lose money since there is a chance of bitcoin price drops. It is pretty stable right now, so it's up to you whether or not to buy bitcoins.
