121  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-20] Bitmain CEO: Bitcoin Can Advance China’s Economy in a Big Way on: September 21, 2016, 06:44:30 AM
China has always been a leader when it comes to mining and bitcoin adoption... but there has to be more adoption if bitcoin is going to have a financial impact on the country's huge population.
122  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-20] Amalgmating the Blockchain and Guns: A Safer World? on: September 21, 2016, 06:40:46 AM
I strongly believe individuals should not be allowed to own guns, unless their profession requires it.

Lots of deaths could have been prevented if people didn't own guns.
123  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-20] BitMixer User Angry Over Low Transaction Fee Causing Hours of Delay on: September 21, 2016, 06:38:21 AM
But if he were to send that same money via bank transfer, it will take much longer than that... unless he'll like to use PayPal where there is no privacy whatsoever.
124  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-20] Is Bitcoin Money? US District Judge Thinks So on: September 21, 2016, 06:34:40 AM
The possibility if a country pegging its fiat as bitcoin is quite unlikely. However, I think in future, all cryptos will merge as one currency to be spent worldwide.
125  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-21] Africa Proving Bitcoin Is So Much More Than Just Remittances on: September 21, 2016, 06:21:10 AM
Actually, bitcoin is not dead in Africa, Beam or not. There are so many Africans trading bitcoins on localbitcoins.com

128  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is your opinion on Buddhism???? on: August 17, 2016, 02:49:08 PM
buddhism is more of a practice than religion.  unconditional love and reverence to all beings, it does not matter how you identify yourself.  buddhist mantras use vibrational energy to heal and transmute unhealthy emotions and patterns.  buddhism is about raising the vibration of yourself and those around you

you dont need to identify as a buddhist to practice buddhism, it is the essence of the loving natural man, which we all are within

All these is theory, in practice, you can't truly love someone unless you believe in the God who created the universe - not several gods.

There is only one God and He is the only one that makes us love because we human beings are born selfish.

131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only ETC is the real Ethereum on: August 13, 2016, 12:26:52 PM
With the way Ethereum Foundation is going, they will soon run out of time and people's trust Angry
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Foundation was basically caught trading stolen coins in exchanges on: August 13, 2016, 12:12:08 PM

thanks for sharing this here.
I had a suspicion that Ethereum foundation and the whales generally who have invested a lot of time and effort to pump ETH to the moon will not stay around silent forever while their manipulated coin ETH is dying. I was actually waiting for them to start dumping ETC to push its price down and show it as weak to others while they pump ETH themselves.

good on poloniex for freezing their scam money.

Now that the news is out that ETH whales are trying to dump ETC, more people will stop buying ETH. The whales have made themselves publicly known as schemers.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Has anyone ever traded on Bter? on: August 13, 2016, 11:56:38 AM
Thanks guys Smiley Seems a lot of these exchanges are getting hacked, one needs to be careful.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Has anyone ever traded on Bter? on: August 13, 2016, 08:54:46 AM
I was hunting for a site with the lowest transaction fees and good security measures when I came across an exchange site in China - Bter.

They charge 0.2% on buy/sell transactions - that seems too good to be true.

So I want to ask for your opinion: Is Bter good? If not, which altcoin exchange site do you think offers the lowest fees with good security.
135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to sign a message?! on: August 13, 2016, 08:43:04 AM

136  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am new to mining. Please guide me on: August 13, 2016, 08:21:59 AM
Thank you so much guys. I have now made my mind to stay away from mining as much as possible as all it gives me are the chills that it doesn't worth it. I better just get a multibit or a good wallet and get payments from people and figure out a way on how to transfer those to my payoneer card so i can get them out in dollars on the atm. Hate mining now. End of the story.

Thanks again for making up my mind

You don't have to hate mining, you can still make some profit mining ETC - ethereum classic ( a new altcoin) with only your desktop.
137  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For the newbies on: August 13, 2016, 08:15:59 AM
I will definitely like to trade but in small amounts.

The transaction fees at popular exchanges puts me off

Bittfinex: ~15%
Polniex:~25%
Kraken:~20%

How do you then make profit when you are only trading small amounts?
138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Onwards and Forwards! (Hello crypto land :D) on: August 13, 2016, 08:11:36 AM
Electrum is a good desktop wallet for keeping your coins. You should not keep all your coins in an exchange, even a safe one like coinbase.
139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is Minnig ????? on: August 13, 2016, 07:42:00 AM
Here you go.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining

ELI5 version: Various transactions that are still waiting to be added to the blockchain are sent to the miners. The miners take the transactions that they approve of (depending on fees and other factors) and perform hashing operations on it. What's hashing? Well, that would take a separate ELI5 discussion to answer, so for now, think of it as a complicated series of operations similar but not equivalent to encryption. Anyway, every miner hashes their own list of approved transactions and the first one to submit a valid hash gets to "mine" the next block of the chain. Essentially, it allows that miner to add the next block to the chain, getting all those transactions that they approved to be approved by the whole Bitcoin community. And that's it. I simplified the explanation for ELI5 convenience, but that's the gist of it. Go to the wiki (via the given link) and read that if you want the more detailed explanation.

Meaning a list of hashes make up a blockchain (12.5btc reward) not a single hash.

I heard somewhere that difficulty changes every 2016 blocks - difficulty and hash rate are linked together.
