121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can gambling give you lessons in life? on: September 01, 2017, 05:45:47 AM
Gambling can give you a reality once you lost it all, sometimes will power will not help a compulsive gambler but a firm decision that will lead you to change your life. Everybody have their own choices. I acknowledge that I have little problem in gambling and the fact that I'm writing this statement. Not more than that I lost a huge amount of money, if I had put all the money in pot that I've lost I would be rich. Nah, past is past learn from your history, that's how you gamble.

122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: September 01, 2017, 04:37:27 AM
When you say it's the hardest addiction to beat you are giving power to it. Gambling addiction isn't any harder to bear than any other.  Learning about and accepting your addiction was also important. Some people here managed to get over gambling by using any methods and techniques to any lengths to find freedom from compulsive gambling. Addiction wants to destroy you and take all from you so you need to be more production on daily things, you can do it for yourself.

123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you even gamble? on: September 01, 2017, 03:47:27 AM
I don't know why I even gamble sometimes when I get drunk my urges for gambling is too strong. Every time I hit rock bottom and build myself up again I knock my self down. Before I hit rock bottom completely I am doing everything in my power to change I could possibly have lost everything I'm just lucky everyone knows now and I can be supported by someone. Sobering up from alcohol was easier than getting clean from gambling, I don't get that either.
124  Economy / Economics / Re: How long could bitcoin last? on: September 01, 2017, 02:57:04 AM
Price will always depend on its popularity, based on supply and demand not its existence. I do believe that Bitcoin can last long since it’s till gaining popularity, still gaining users and investors. It will likely stay for a while until a new digital currency dethrones. But that’s still a long way down the road. And it will not crash at a random time. If it did, there will be a rational explanation for it. It can be a discrepancy or an outside environs fucking up with it.
125  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: September 01, 2017, 02:39:29 AM
I remember reading 1970’s and 80’s sci-fi books when they thought that 2000, the turn of the millennia, will also be the turn of the world. They thought that by then we already have flying cars and communicated with another intelligent life force.

Bitcoin will not be used by almost everyone in 2022 because technology has yet to catch up to some of the countries and places in the world. We always thought about things in the future, which is a great thing, but we have to consider that for us to get to the future we need to work on the “now.”

How can anyone use Bitcoin when there are still countries and places that consider Windows XP the height of technological advancement? We need to wait for the rest of the world to catch up before we can say that Bitcoin is successful on overthrowing the old financial structure when people pretty much still subscribed to the old ways.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: August 31, 2017, 09:28:24 PM
It will be a long process, I guess. If everyone is holding, sometime soon or later, there will be a demand. And with demand comes high prices. And with high prices there will be surge of people who held their Bitcoin selling them thus resuming the cycle. But if it fully stopped, then what’s the sense? What is the purpose? Sooner or later, demands will drop and so are the prices condemning the bitcoin to uselessness.
127  Economy / Economics / Re: When will more retailers accept Bitcoin on: August 31, 2017, 09:00:47 PM
Retailers will accept when it will be stable. It’s good that japan has accepted Bitcoin in their society. Even more better that they have integrated it in their local stores. But for some retailers in other countries to accept it, it should be stable first. I imagine that it can be frustrating that you’ve received bitcoin payment worth $20 only for it to turn to $17 when you cash it out because of its volatile nature.

128  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: August 31, 2017, 08:46:02 PM
I once watched a documentary of people who lives on far flung places that they thought the president was still the funny old man that got impeached because of his gambling of tax funds more than a decade ago.

My point being...there will be a cashless society…for the places and people that are technologically advanced and have got into the modern times. But there will always be places that will use cash. Digital currency and fiat will go hand in hand as long as there are poor people in poor towns and in poor countries. Bitcoin is something out of reach for them because their country, much less their technology, has yet to advance.

Bitcoin is fantastic advanced system that sometimes we take it for granted whereas people in different places see it as some sci-fi shit of the future. It has to go through a really long process before a country turns into a cashless society but for that to happen, technology and the country should advance together.
129  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: August 31, 2017, 08:25:06 PM
Bitcoin will not end world poverty. It cannot end world poverty. Even if all of us, hypothetically, use Bitcoin there will always be people who are richer, who have more Bitcoin than any one. And also, not all of us have access to a smartphone or the Internet. And even if people have access, there will always be people who are not really technology-savvy. And even if people are in the city, they’re just so fucking poor they can’t afford food much less a phone. Bitcoin will end some of the world’s problems but not poverty.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: August 31, 2017, 08:03:34 PM
It perfectly makes sense. Bitcoin will be replaced by another cryptocurrency in the future that will be better, more advanced, and more convenient. It will make sense that people will move on to the better currency and Bitcoin will be useless, obsolete. But it doesn’t mean that it will be useless. Bitcoin has laid the foundation for the modern currency. No doubt that the principles and functions will be adapted by the new digital currency. Bitcoin will become the father of the modern digital currency.

131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: August 31, 2017, 05:59:56 PM
People are holding to Bitcoin because they’re waiting for the price hike. Bitcoin is making waves on the business world. It’s been gaining popularity and has been making the news. In this case people get interested and start buying and making investments. If this happens, the demands get high and so is the price. So the people that are holding to Bitcoin can finally start selling their Bitcoin. It’s simply just a matter of supply and demand.

132  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin provide income on line? on: August 31, 2017, 04:50:08 PM
Is the factory you’re working ain’t paying you properly, below minimum wage? Then you should probably change jobs that fit with your skill and talent. It’s not gonna be easy but determination pays off. Then open your mind about Bitcoin. There are many services you can do online that pay in Bitcoin. Your friends must have known Bitcoin for so long to earn so much money. But I advise that you properly educate yourself first about bitcoin and not wholly depend on it if you do especially that you’re a beginner.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: August 31, 2017, 04:20:50 PM
It’s true that Bitcoin is trending but it’s not trending worldwide, its trending in the world wide WEB. It is not easily earned. People on this forum will tell you that they spend months; years even, to earn some cash and sometimes it’s not even steady. Bitcoin is already the currency of the Internet for sometimes now. Alt coins have been sprouting out but all of them are based on Bitcoin. It is not THE new money but it is fairly A new money. It is already being used by various people with various purposes but mostly only online. And honestly, who told you that its easy to earn? Bitcoin is hard to earn but easy to spend.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao vs. Horn - REMATCH! on: August 31, 2017, 04:07:36 PM
They really should drum up some publicity with this rematch. People are losing interest so their respective PRs should make the days leading to the fight interesting, like the McGregor vs. Mayweather. And the venue should be somewhere neutral to avoid issues and debates and people saying that the fight was “bias.” And Pacquiao should take his training seriously or choose a fucking path already. Him being a senator whilst being in a demanding sport is stressing me the fuck out.

135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: August 31, 2017, 04:53:57 AM
To play smart on gambling is to do things that will limit your ability to give in. Like decreasing your access to money. Only keep money for stuff that you are not willing to sacrifice the money to gamble for. Allocate your money, the extra is what you usually gamble with. By that you have no funds to gamble with and gradually you realize that you are not missing anything because life goes on. When you're into gambling, Control and not to be controlled.

136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs McGregor: Info and prediction thread on: August 31, 2017, 02:52:50 AM
To last 10 rounds in your boxing debut against one of the greatest boxers of all times is an achievement on its own, the guy with 50-0 record vs the one with 0 years in pro boxing. We already know what's coming. It's better for Conor McGregor to return in the octagon and defend his title, I'm rooting for his comeback. For those people who streamed it on twitter, streaming it for us for free, all are the real MVP's.

137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: August 31, 2017, 01:12:43 AM
Don't give up, even some people say that gamble is the way out for your miserable life. Don't feel tempted, once you entered you will never go out. Use your experience to accept that you're powerless over gambling, accepting you are powerless over gambling will need a necessary action to recover. Never give up on trying one day you will successfully escape from gambling.

138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will banks start a war against bitcoin on: August 25, 2017, 11:22:06 AM
Accusations, disparaging remarks, mudslinging, and propaganda is part of business. It’s normal to do these things especially if they see that their businesses are threatened. But we need to see the positive in this, they are THREATENED. They see the potential of Bitcoin. They see that it is getting bigger, gaining users, gaining speed of being more globally accepted. Banks will just have to up their ante and services if they don’t want their consumers choosing between them and Bitcoin. Harsh campaign will start against Bitcoin, I think, if it’s already considered a legitimate currency.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: August 25, 2017, 11:03:58 AM
We have to take the bad with the good. There’s always people that are gonna take advantage of the services offered by Bitcoin by using it through illegal means. As Bitcoin continues to develop, more and more people will come to use. And we cannot choose who uses it. We just have to live with the fact that people will be people and will use Bitcoin however they like. However, we don’t have to tolerate this. We should stand against criminality sullying Bitcoin’s name and giving it a bad reputation. We should at least discourage use of Bitcoin if its use to commit crime.

140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: August 25, 2017, 10:41:02 AM
A TV advertisement, if executed properly, will get the attention of many people. It will get people to be curious about this digital currency. It will get them to search and research on their own. Maybe cause a small surge on the price of Bitcoin itself. But of course, if there’s positive reaction there will always be a negative reaction. Some skeptics or people who don’t really hold Bitcoin in a positive light will question it. Maybe disparage it and throw mud at its name and reputation. They will mostly site the criminal activities where Bitcoin was used. But that’s just normal, I guess, in the world of business. The question though is who’s gonna fund it?
