121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 07, 2020, 08:27:58 PM
The difference between casino games and sports betting is the percentage of winning in the long term if the luck factor is considered as a variable. The bookies add their house edge in odds on pregame matches and everyone understands what is value bet or why the odds of the match go down. Some betting exchanges are popular for not betting against their users and Betfair is the top one with good volume. Choosing the right bookie and understanding the odds can increase the chances of winning in the long term.

Is the site currently down?
I can't access or can't reach the site, or maybe there's a new policy? previously there was no problem.
You can try stake.games if the original domain doesn't work. The website works on my PC and I have checked on the other sources, it works:  https://www.isitdownrightnow.com/stake.com.html
Thanks it is working now, if I continue with the stake.games domain is it not a problem or will it be fine?
You are welcome, yes it is perfectly fine to use this alternative domain. This quoted announcement has been made on the official Stake telegram group:

Quote
Attention Indonesian Players

It seems some Indonesian ISP's have blocked access to Stake due to their political stance on gambling. You may access Stake via our official mirror, Stake.games.

I usually keep the Telegram notifications active for such cases and VIP groups are essential for joining the daily gambling challenges by Stake mods. For VIP users, there is a separate "Stake VIP notices" social media group and the weekly-monthly bonuses are created there.

By the way, the Stake team has made new announcements about the possible downgrades on social media. IIRC, Indonesia, and Pakistan have blocked the access to stake.com website due to the strict gambling prohibition and it is still illegal for the mentioned countries. Better to watch the Telegram groups for latest announcements by Stake team.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggest the best strategy on: November 06, 2020, 11:20:25 PM
There's no need to join a group and if betting stresses you out I suggest you don't bet. Betting is not for something that has to be scheduled, because for me personally betting is something a game that can be played any time now and betting only when the mood is good I think it is enough for us to enjoy betting. After all, if you are used to betting every day then at least you will feel it, because betting with certain odds you will adjust accordingly. People bet with money ready to lose and by making their own calculations and so will you, at least there will be an adjustment of your own ability to bet on any gambling.

That's right! If it is taking too much stress from you, then betting is not for you. This will create more personal problems if you will continue your life with this kind of lifestyle. At least, betting should have positive impact in your life rather than on the negative side. You should enjoy your bet and not be a source of your depression if you lose. So for me the best strategy, is bet according to what you are more comfortable with. No strings attached and enjoy your game.
The tournaments are different kinds of games that are calculated to keep the gamblers together on casinos and they will be able to spend more. This is the point where gambling addiction starts to cover the daily life of gamblers, IMHO. Maybe reducing time and not overthinking about the losses can be the breaking point in the daily life of addicted gamblers because they usually think about revenge from the casinos. House edge is not beatable and gamblers shouldn't rely on their luck for beating casinos.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be a wise investor on: November 06, 2020, 10:57:53 PM
Your statement "the most important part of our lives is living a good life". That's the point and people should think about it. But if talk about money many people don't care about it, they will greedy and keep trying to become rich people, keep thinking like that will give toxic to their soul and mind, So they must learn how to clear it

The good life is not always about money
In capitalism, everything works differently. Unfortunately, the top percent of riches can hold 90% capital of the economy in some countries. The top ladder dictates the rules and investors also prefer to invest in the developed economies. No one wanna be on the weak side, also investors go for the stronger teams from top countries. It is an unbreakable rule of capitalism and these rules are mandatory for consideration if the crypto investors wanna hope in the trend of strong altcoins. If the good life was not about the money, I doubt there will be so many user flows to the developing crypto industry.
126  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot Trading vs Margin Trading - Which is the best Strategy? on: November 05, 2020, 11:20:55 PM
Margin trading is a fast exit from trading if the trader has no idea what he is doing with increased loss in 100x leverage. Sooner or late the loss will be bigger that can wash the profits of the last few months but pro traders use stop-loss orders to prevent this. Slippage issues are still the biggest concern of the expert traders because stop loss doesn't always mean the trades will be cut on a specific limit. Using specific software and adding a new money management algos will not save the trader if there is no background, many traders prefer to buy from the lucrative trading "millionaires". These guys will lose sooner or later due to the lack of deep market experience.
127  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading hours on: November 05, 2020, 10:37:49 PM
I prefer to wait for the London opening because the US traders usually continue the direction from the last season. Maybe it is my personal bias after many years but the Japanese and US traders don't go against the hourly trends, generally. US open hours are messy and the traders from the US usually continue to do what the London session traders did on their session. For example, if the XRP/USD pair goes up on the London session and the US traders will continue the trend because none of both parties will go against the main trend. It is just common sense for combining the daily trend in all market sessions.

I've begged them to add cheap/instant coins for a long time, but no use Grin
The good thing is, lately, ETH fees are often cheaper than BTC, and there is a small window of cheap BTC transactions as well.

Suppose we are stuck with ETH & BTC. I want to see the mechanics like Duelbits when users can deposit in BTC and withdraw in ETH (and vice versa).
Even the low-medium-priority BTC withdrawal options are not effective as it supposed to be, the medium fee is $9.5 and the priority is $11. It doesn't make sense to request a withdrawal until the markets calm down. Maybe they are working on this option to add more altcoins or letting users swap the cryptos inside the platform but they prefer not to share the development with the users. I have checked the Telegram and Twitter pages too but no single word about possible changes.

130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins that would make a good short term #HODL on: November 04, 2020, 11:58:03 PM
bitcoin and ethereum is one of the good for longterm and shorterm.
Don't Forget Dogecoin, Dogecoin is low in price but it can be a double profit and if you trade DogeCoin I think Doge coin is lower risk than other Altcoins except for the top 10 altcoins.

I also added XLM and BNB if you want to trade short term, the daily market movements are very stable and won't go down very deep. I've been doing it for the last few months and the results have been very satisfying.
BNB is a good choice considering the increasing demand for Binance exchange but there are better altcoins in terms of ROI. Maybe the XLM can give a boosted profit for a 6-month short investment but the new projects are very strict as a competitor. The circles become narrow every year for such type altcoins. Altcoins with low marketcap are the main priority for the low capital holders and they will prefer to join the short term altcoin market trends. The BNB is good choice if we think from this side, the market is not equally fair for all market participants.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason Why $ETH sudden jump on: November 04, 2020, 11:40:24 PM
The upward movement that Ethereum is showing at the moment is an indicator that has the possibility of reversing direction. due to the reversal movement of this direction is the main key that will break the downward movement pla from the chart. although there is still a little trapped in the consolidation phase, this fundamental moment can be a driver for Ethereum price movements to continue to rise beyond the benchmark line.
I didn't get the true direction of ETH in your post because ETH has been moving upwards for more than 4 months. The price was under $150 months ago but the demand has increased after the rumors of ETH 2.0. The fees decreased a lot on gambling websites which I deposit to balance with altcoins especially ETH. Now the fees are friendly compared to $10 withdrawal fees on the BTC network. Yesterday, one Uniswap trader has messed with the Metamask and spent a $9200 fee for a $120 transaction. I can't put myself ins the shoes of that poor guy and he is worried about the situation by talking about the suicide.

<snip>
Yeah, that will be really helpful to the user. Also considering 1 more cryptocurrency to be able to use for bets on Roobet will be good.

Just recently I've noticed that the fee for bitcoin withdrawal was about $8.55, and for was $0.00 for ETH(until now it's the case)...
But at this moment, since the mempool's traffic is getting much better, the fee for bitcoin withdrawal is back to as low as $0.55.
There numerous case of exchange facilities inside the casino site, in which through clients are permitted to trade bitcoin to litecoin, doge and so on. Since not every person can manage the suggested fee's so the exchange facility must be expected to execute to make everybody comfortable and casino site are getting much better result.

Just checked it out the fee for bitcoin withdrawal was about $3.58, and for was $0.00 for ETH(it this starnge!)

I also have noticed this and that is the reason why I prefer to deposit altcoins rather than waiting for days in BTC blockchain explorers. The fee is usually around $0.4 and it is nothing compared to paying the $6 per BTC withdrawal request. By the way, the BTC to USD rate is always low for deposits but they charge more than preev rate in withdrawals. Surely, the third-party provider takes a commission from the crypto-fiat transaction but 1-1-5 % is not a small amount compared to Coingecko or preev rate.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Negative House Edge Crypto Casino on: November 04, 2020, 10:40:51 PM
Negative house edge? Did I read it correctly? What will be the gain or profit for casinos without a house edge? Probably, you only take a commission from winnings like few online casinos, only winners are charged for taking a more percentage from a winning pot. A further explanation will give an idea of what kind of house edge mechanics we discuss here.

P.S: I have seen the negative edge of trading pairs and on small exchanges. They burn the tokens of exchange on monthly basis and the less token circulation makes it high price for the token holders.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Values of Bitcoin & Altcoin are correlated on: November 03, 2020, 11:59:17 PM
Most of the time that movement of the altcoins is same to the bitcoin, but last few weeks ago the altcoins dumping while the bitcoin is rising it's value and it is only happening sometime. Im not say that not means they are not same but maybe they are connected to each ither because they are also depending to the price of the bitcoin because we know it is the the highest value among them..
When the price of BTC rises the altcoins dump and altcoins get dumped because BTC price goes down. It is not logical because the selloff always happens on the altcoins side, the investors dump the total marketcap of altcoins first in order to buy more BTC. Correlation is not relative in this case and the irrational market connections confuse newbie crypto traders. The deep connection makes it easy to track the most dependable altcoins and chasing the losses will be easy with buying the correlated altcoins in short term trades. The market circumstances can change this correlation whenever it is necessary for market makers, I always keep this on my mind.
135  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does auto trading bot make good profit ? on: November 03, 2020, 11:32:40 PM
I don't think so. Just imagine, if you set a machine then it is giving you a certain amount of profit after a certain period. If it happens then everyone will take this advantage and who will lose? I can not understand the mechanism though.

By the way, bot trading exchanges are too annoying for me to use. Because those exchanges give us the fake volume. So I don't think that bot trading makes a good profit actually.

No one professional trader will use bots. How can we entrust machines our money and decisions? You can use bots just for personal interest. For instance, I trade myself, and later, I compare the resolts of my job with the bots predictions’probability.
I don't agree, there are many trading bots for sale by professional traders because they wanna increase the revenue by selling their hard work to newbies traders. If the trading strategy is based on technical analysis then it is meaningless to apply human intervene. Just use Google for finding proven statements based on automated trading bots. I don't write about the fake Instagram trading stars who can do everything to bring a new customer for an affiliate network. The pro traders know what to do with the bots and they can shut down the trading bots easily if they see the market doesn't correlate with the software of trading bots.
136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3 myths about crypto trading tools on: October 31, 2020, 11:59:38 PM
Stop loss is useless for day traders because they can handle the profit/loss ratio by staring at the monitor and checking the hourly price candles on charts. For long-term traders, the situation is a bit different because having a stop loss will save the trades from the unplanned losses. Scalping and trading on small time-frames don't have the high-risk factors compared to big movements on daily charts.
I do not agree to what you just said because for me stop loss is important, I'm a intra day traders where I usually scalp and make gains in just minutes or hours. Stop loss for me is part of my system and it is really advisable to use it. I never enter a trade without using a stop loss because it is part of risk management and every newbies who want to become a better trader should master it. I also do not agree to you when you said that small time frames are not risky, for me it is more risky than daily or weekly time frames because in daily and in weekly time frames the signals and the conviction that you can have is real and the data is really legit unlike in slow time frames there are a lot of invalidation and false signals.

For those who avoid losing huge amount of money, try to focus on managing your risks in trading by having and mastering the art of cutting losses. I think a lot of traders do not use it because they think that it is just a waste of time, for me it is not and we should really give care on it.
Let's compare the same trades for both swing and day traders. The 10 pip is a profit for day traders while the long-term trader looks for more than 200 pips in each trade. The R:R ratio is usually equal on day trading strategies because the idea is to take whatever the market flow gives back. With the stop loss, 10 pips are nothing and it will not take a long time to hit the stop loss. If the trades are stopped out frequently how the day trader is supposed to make money?
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 31, 2020, 11:41:31 PM
Losing more in the process of recovering is a very common happening to everyone. I experience once when I lost 0.15btc in dice and depositing more and eventually losing it all too because of the eagerness to gain back what I lost earlier. I learned my lesson so whenever I lost money and want to deposit more I disregard my wants to recover and aim for enjoyment/thrill when playing and just play with small amount.
Chasing the losses always lead to the same point which we have been there before. It is sad to gamble when I know I shouldn't push my loss limit for recovering the losses but resisting yourself is very hard at these moments. I just block my access to the gambling website after a huge loss because I am sure comeback will be another dip point for me. Understating the truth is ok on my side but accepting it is very hard sometimes. It is better to accept whatever the slots give back and taking the loss will not make anyone loser. Thinking of yourself as a loser and having a losing mindset can change the whole situation and it is better than revenge gambling in all cases. Martingale strategy is on my blacklist exactly for this reason.
138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the Best Time to sell ? on: October 31, 2020, 11:24:19 PM
Should I hold for more time?
Should I buy some more now only or wait if the price dips a bit?

Buying on dips is smarter than going all-in while the trend pushes the price towards the ATH. For a volatile BTC market, the price can go as higher as it can because there is no central market rate and the demand is high every day. The sell order should be placed right before the end of the maximum which is hard to detect with technical analysis. Maybe the correction points will hit the buy limit orders but it is possible too the price can go 100% in a day without correction. Fake breakouts and incomplete trading patterns force the trader to make wrong trading decisions but professional traders with the right mindset will avoid repeating the old mistakes which the market has done these things before.

140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: October 31, 2020, 09:43:59 PM
Actually betting multi bets is very risky in my experience but quite fun and exciting if you are good to analyze all the match you would be able to gain good profit out of it and I do it occasionally, I prefer single bets for most of the time.
I don't think anyone can guarantee that you will win or lose because I see gambling like this depends on luck, and when you do that you have already made a profit, then you should be able to withdraw assets, because if you try to do the same thing then the percentage very few wins and very risky.
Obviously, the chances of getting busted with multi bets is higher due to the risky odds which boost the final multiplier. The luck-based casino games have the house edge and the odds also carry the hidden house edge in sports betting. I prefer to bet on the exchange type gambling websites because betting against the house/bookie is also risky especially if the gambler is a high roller with a deep pocket. The boosted wins are attractive for new gamblers but experienced gamblers know how hard it is catching the low odds with playing a high bankrolls.
