121  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just sold all my BTC because on: May 06, 2018, 03:14:24 PM
This market does not have the steam to break 10K
Will buy back in when things are making more sense.
Bitches are buying ETH and Bitcoin Cash
BTC dominance is going down hill
A Bear Market could be triggered if BTC goes below 9520: it has already done that today: Tread carefully and use stop loss if you recently bought in!

Nobody cares!

Ok I do care actually. That's great news. One more weak hand is outta the market!
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Ponzi scheme? on: May 04, 2018, 07:35:31 PM
I hate these kind of useless topics which are opened by newbies only for increasing number of posts.
Pointless and doesn't append to anyone...

Reply: No, bitcoin is not a ponzi scheme.

(Before attacks, Oh yes I'm a newbie too!)

Hello,

I've also had a devastating experience using this exchange.
I deposited some btc to buy a coin which was rare and wasn't listed in many exchanges. That was a big regret. Not only the exchange had so little volume that my buy orders wouldn't get filled-I know I should've done the volume research that's my mistake-, but they did everything they could to complicate and delay withdrawal.

They initially give you 0.3 btc daily withdrawal limit. (That's about less than %15 of what major exchanges like binance give) And it says "Submit ID Verification to increase withdrawal limit." So I uploaded photos of my national ID. It took 2 days and two support tickets to verifty my ID. (I needed the btc urgently and I didn't want to withdraw in two posts to avoid double transaction fees, so I sent them many tickets and they only answered the first two, apologising for the delay and informing that my id verification was successful) And guess what? The withdrawal limit didn't increase. It turns out that I'd have to upload my passport, driver's license and a utility bill Shocked . They didn't even answer any of my tickets after that. So I had to withdraw in two posts. The transaction fee? 0.0015. (again, that's 3 times what other exchanges charge-they probably take profit from a portion of that). In the end, I spent 0.003 btc by only depositing and withdrawing from the exchange (I didn't have a chance to trade bc of low volume).

If anyone is considering depositing money to this exchange, DO NOT DO IT. Use a major exchange.

124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes Bitcoin valuable? on: May 01, 2018, 08:27:34 PM
Value is a consequence of demand. Demand occurs for something if that thing is convenient/beneficial for someone. In our case, bitcoin is valuable as it is demanded by people because people can spend it in turn for other things that have value to them. Bitcoin accepting shops, e-commerce stores, being able to buy fiat money with bitcoin, etc. are some of the many factors that generates bitcoin's value.

I am sorry for all the investors who lost their money in this project. It is impossible this is going to go somewhere. Not to mention inactivity of the team for giving any details, no promotions after raising 100m €.  I really am sorry.

Why do they still keep paying weekly shares to people,
answering questions on forums,
and informing people on upcoming upgrades
if they were intending to scam?

They have the 100m and no legal action can get it back from them,
Why the heck don't they just close the website and go away?

p.s: This is a serious question to be debated on and not a statement to support Bankera. I am also an investor who is confused and want to learn whether I'm ripped off or not.

You see this kind of posts for almost every new project. People are either pissed because they expected to get rich real quick, they missed the train and try to push the price down, they invested in a competing project, they have no real live or other interests... I could think of a thousand more
Oh okay. It's clear now 👍👍

129  Economy / Economics / Re: Working smart vs working hard - an ultimate guide on: April 25, 2018, 01:35:44 PM
This is a sequel to this thread. If you are interested only in the fat of the thread and the cream of the theme, look no further than this and the second post here.

Many people say that you should work hard if you want to succeed in life and rise to riches. I'd rather say that working hard will only make your boss richer, not yourself. On the other hand, there is an age-old adage which says that you should be working smarter, not harder. But working smarter is a vague idea, and I'm interested to hear what people have to say on this topic. As far as I'm concerned, I think that working smart comes down to creating environment where you will have more chances to meet Lady Luck smiling at you, where you will be able to hit a lucky strike because luck plays an ever-important role in our lives. For example, if you want to find a date to have a romantic relationship with or you are looking for a one-night stand only, you will go to a beach or a bar since your chances are higher there, right? The same approach seems to be applicable to work as well. In other words, stick around the places where your chances of success are the highest.

So share your opinions here, guys. What is your practical take on working smart?

Most brilliant post I've seen in a long time. Working smart > working hard.
Sometimes you've gotta work hard to be smart in situations though...  Wink
130  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptobank Idea on: April 25, 2018, 01:29:28 PM
I think cryptobanks are an exigence for the future of cryptocurrencies.

Check out bankera.com. It's an EU based project with a really competitive team behind. Their goal is to raise a "Bank for the Blockchain Era". They are about to launch their own crypto exchange and Issuing crypto debit cards and offering loans are only two of their many goals.

They've also raised over 100 million euros from pre-ico and ico!
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ⛏ ⛏ ⛏ ICE ROCK MINING ICO2 - LIFETIME PROFIT on: April 03, 2018, 06:59:07 PM
What miners will u be using because the numbers your roi calculator spits are not attainable for any miners i heard of even if u don't pay power maintenance or anything.

You say 30 usd per miner while the return of a s9 at this time is less then 8 usd so what miners will you be using to get this roi ?

I would like to invest but I want some realistic numbers I don't understand how u get these numbers.

So at current rates if client gets 50% of whats mined that gives me 4 usd a day for 2300 investment That gives me a 575 days to even get my money back that's pretty far from what your calculator is showing atm Is this correct ? or am I missing something ?

It sais your calculator uses the 14000 base price from months ago that's very deceptive why has that not been made dynamic ?

5. Most likely we will buy new ones with a large hashed and lower costs for electricity (respectively, there will be more profit💰) many companies are working on it hard right now. We expect new miners.

Wow! You haven't even bought any miners? + You expect new miners capable of returning >%300 of current available technology? and that's "most likely"

no way  Undecided

I felt a little bit uncertainty about the liability of your project; hence I've waited and watched since the beginning of the year.
Now just as I was actually considering investing, this came up. The Crypto Mining Company doesn't own miners yet! It's a red flag from me.
