I think its important really to embrace its potential to commoditize resources of it's nodes, while linking that with developers through a decentralized marketplace.  Several major competitors are all going to be fighting in this battle.  IBM & Bitpay have both announced blockchain based products/services.  Beating them to market will be a huge 1st person mover advantage.

I don't know who all the cinni investors were, perhaps he should ask them?

I myself lost 25 btc on cinni, when the main dev dropped th ball.

So your saying there is no connection betwen cinni and SDC?

That question was answered in ryno's POD. He was contracted by the cinni dev to make the EM.

You can also read about it on the I believe cryptoarticles site where jdebunt wrote an article about the reveal of sdcdev.

Okay, fair enough, I won't start asking questions (like how much he was paid, etc,) - lets move on with blocknet

Back to blocknet.

Blocknet's Wiki is starting to take shape and with that I am glad to announce that coingateway.net will be holding the ITO's btc in escrow.

3rd - I was never the dev of any other coin than XC and blocknet, - I was never the hal dev, I did NOT WRITE ANY of its code

If we assume being "the dev" means being someone who writes most of the code -

1) Are you "the dev" of XC?

2) Did any of the people who have contributed to XC codebase write any of HAL's code?

Sorry to repeat, but did you choose to not answer or did you miss it?

Bump for Dan.

the major of code written in any altcoin was done by the bitcoin developers

Quote

Well if you read further, the next convo's we have i clarify what i can and cannot pass onto the sdc team. I was the middleman relaying info to the sdc team as this was when things were being discussed about sdc becoming part of blocknet etc.

Prom's own statement confirms i had to malicious intent. Yet people continue to attack me here.

Aside form that prom started promoting util shortly after anyway. So it's not like he kept it secret long.

Smurf,

isn't true that the same investors who quietly exited cinni after hiring dev's to implement the CINNI EM [and leaving the CINNI community to rot], are the same investors involved with SDC? And used the same cinni EM devs for SDC.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Can you give us a status on how many BTC have been raised so far?

Time to make some tough decisions.  My gut tells me to get rid of everything ASAP but I'm trying to find reasons to convince me otherwise.

I do request that you spend some more time on the OP and website...they're both missing a good amount of information (I hope).

you can make the calculation yourself by summing all the BTC available in all the exchanges

Bittrex : 555.8

Polo: 312.3

Bter: 527.7

=

1395.8

2500-1395.8=1104.2 if there is less than 254.2 Bitcoin dump on Bittrex refund wall the ITO is succesful right now.

1100btc, what a great ICO, never seen this before.

blocknet coins are sold about only 290BTC on bittrex,  ITO must be successful

All this is assuming that 2500 BTC in BLOCK was spread among Bittrex, Poloniex and Bter. Which wasn't the case I don't think.

It looks more like ~300 on trex, ~70 on polo and <50 on Bter. With the 500 BTC BLOCK sold for alts that would make them above their goal. Hopefully we get a true reporting of final numbers from the exchanges. Not sure how this is going to turn out.

Dont forget....Plus the buy wall that will be placed in Bittrex to refund the ITO buyers.

Its safe to assume at least 50% of ITO buyers from Bittrex will be selling back their coins.

safe to assume, based on what??? The lies that have been exposed?

Lies have been exposed? The truth was twisted by "sdc investors", who are using the old cinni em dev's for their SDC project, which is the same EM code in aero

Hi Dan,

I was referring to the lies of the fudders..

yes aka SDC investors :-)

What about the XC holders HuhHuh Are we just fucked or what ?

You guys just going forget about us ?

absolutely not, and this weekend was spent working on a major XC project, linking XC to a major business and creating a service for said business which is XC based.  I can't provide any more details until testing is finished and completed w/ satisfactory results.

Awesome! I wonder who the major business is!

Would it be possible to unlock the XC thread so we can discuss XC things there?  It is a bit strange to receive XC updates in the BlockNET thread.

Yes, we will be unlocking the XC thread

Also I will be posting the updated Mobile App shortly and the updated TOR ISO - Tor sticks will be shipped from my office next week

Brilliant, looking forward to this Dan!

mobile was uploaded, i posted over on xctalk the download link, unfortunately I didn't get to build the new ISO for the torstick so thats been bumped until tomorrow

I can't find the post atm, but for those trying to compile the linux wallet, I will push to github tomorrow the fix required to compile under linux.

also blocknet has a website, and a wiki

www.blocknet.co and wiki.blocknet.co [which will be updated either tonight or tomorrow as it is just a stock build out now]

Dan

Awesome, look foward to the new website. You've come through with a lot of updates today - both XC and Blocknet - fair play.

And I had to meet a client and replace some defective equipment.. .fun times...

Thank you for the response

Thats it? Really? Holy **** maybe you could eat shit for real and post it on youtube or something by way of an excuse...
Is this crap over now? Those were the last questions asked?

I'm glad we're done here..

Let's get back to blocknet everyone!

[edit]

let me apologize for that little outburst..

[/edit]

?  I fail to see how I'm any way in the wrong.  The devteam spent all the premine without transparency.    I'm simply trying to make sure that doesn't happen to blocknet funds.

There's no shit to be eaten ... The escrow and accounting details should have been released before asking for a satoshi

Thats a loaded statement based on a false accusation.   The premine address has been public since day #1.

infinitechaos, I never envisioned that the FUD would reach this level of conspiracy and insanity, and based on the fact that all information was already public - i never expected it to reach this level and I had no intention of engaging it at any point.  I generally just dismissed it.  How could I have predicted the extent of deceit they would engage in?

i think Dan learned his lesson with freelance.  Wink Good to see you back in good spirit Dan. XC will recover from this and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger . that goes for blocknet too. i hope the other coins from blocknet understand that it got also alot of XC relation on the last pages in here.

looking forward to the XC thread.

Also Dan have you guys considered making the Xbridge available to everyone and seperate from the blcoknet foundation seat. so members could be chosen by the foundation but the net is accesable by every coin theoretically without acces to the funds or any say in the project. that would increase the userbase for the good coins dramatically without giving up on its quality encouraging nature.

Yes xbridge is open source  >>>> https://github.com/atcsecure/xbridge <<<<

XC investors confidence has already been gained back and if you were not trolling you were already aware that Dan confirmed no more coin reviews with the blocknet project announcement three weeks ago or so.

so he's already stopped the coin review but will he stop the freelance?

I am involved with numerous projects outside of crypto, that will continue as it feeds my family and pays my mortgage... however the amount of btc earned from the crypto freelance projects was peanuts and not worth the effort and definite not worth the amount of FUD it created.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains / XBridge / true cross-chain P2P on: November 03, 2014, 02:52:56 PM

One must consider all the motivations involved here as well.  Whales play dirty using tactics from the securities market.

http://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/poopandscoop.asp

It may be a whale tactic, but as a person being very much involved in the crypto development, you should not have hosted a IPO. Only scammers do.
Did you develop XC with a IPO? Had such a good respect on you man.

XC was funded/developed via the premine and my own investment.  I do think that ITO's have a place for funding legitimate projects

Reading is the key to success

I wanted to make a clear and concise statement about all of this mud slinging going around....

As everybody involved with XC's knows I did numerous freelance projects, some of which Prometheus was involved in, like KeyOS and Halc.  Yesterday I was so frustrated with everything that was ALREADY PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE [stated on twitter and in the XC OP/ANN] being portrayed as some type of scam.. Accusing me of being Prometheus, accusing me of being the dev. of numerous coins and half the coins in blocknet...that I simply answered no to any and all questions.   None of these allegations are true, I am DAN METCALF and I have never used any other account than ATCSECURE on this forum.  Nor did I ever participate into any scam's, nor would I ever...  the comments about XC's POW being stopped because I was paid off is a complete fabrication.

What I find most interesting about this amount of FUD is that all the information was already public, and to think that I have all these alias's on this forum is complete insanity.

My full statement on the matter can be viewed at http://www.atcsecure.com/blog/Official_Statement.pdf

Also blocknet's assets and funds will be held in escrow and released as development progress's.  Blocknet is not a scam, but a legitimate project and proof of concept code will be available shortly.

Sincerely,

Dan Metcalf

It wasn't public knowledge though. At all. It was only known by a select few in some inner circle of altcoin manipulation.

He did a code review for Halcyon under the pretense that he was an unbiased third party. You don't see the problem with that?

I was an unbiased 3rd party, I didn't write HAL, didn't write cloak [called it a scam] http://pastebin.com/TvJkKiCJ, I'm not some mastermind behind all of these coins as alluded to by several people, instead I'm XC's developer and this all started with SDC [https://gist.github.com/atcsecure/cf6a478ef3169cefdc6d] - Mr Boh is just an upset SDC investor with an axe to grind and now has created this giant conspriancy theory that I am some evil mastermind behind this cartel of coins... nothing could be further from the truth

Now that everything is out in the open it's up to people to make their own judgments of whether your associations are ethical.

I don't think anyone thinks you're the mastermind behind some cartel of coins. I think Prometheus might be, but not you.

People can debate semantics of whether you're involved in a "pump group" or whatever, it doesn't really matter. There is however a trail of destruction left in your path as evidenced by the charts of all these Prometheus coins that you've done reviews for. Responsibility doesn't fall on you alone, but as long as people know the reality of the situation there's really not much more to talk about. This altcoin community takes people who don't know any better and bleeds them dry. This isn't the first time and it won't be the last. People have to learn to research what they're getting themselves in to. And there's only so much you can do, most people here clearly don't care. But at least the truth is out now.

It was always out in the open on my twitter feed and on the forum from day #1...  2nd, every alt-coin has pretty much the same exact chart, 3rd, I've done reviews on numerous coins that Prom was NOT involved in
