122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: All airdrops are ponzi schemes? on: October 04, 2017, 07:21:05 PM
I personally never participated in any airdrop as there are voices around that ALL airdrops are ponzi schemes!

Whats your thought about this "statement"?

Can some1 give deeper insight and background info about the airdrop principle and why some people telling its a ponzi scheme or MLM technique?

We (Licensium Team) where thinking months back on airdrop but decided to go the ico way!

Thx in advance!

Your argument is not only faulty but also wrong because we have seen several airdrops that have gone to be a mainstream currency and create a space for itself despite coming late. A perfect example I can think of now is GByte which was an airdrop and gained the confidence of the community and now I read where an ICO is accepting it as a means of payment along side will BTC, and ETH. To make assumption without any fault, there is need for proper understanding of what the project is all about.
123  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you use a Bitcoin debit card? on: September 30, 2017, 09:59:09 PM
I don't use debit card and its due to the fees involved from the loading fee, transaction fees down to the withdrawal fees at local ATM couple with the unfavourable exchange rate that will be used at the point of withdrawal, I will just stick to my method of cashing out which is getting individuals who are ready to buy then transfer into my account without any hassle.
124  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin be effectively used to curb corruption? on: September 30, 2017, 08:53:34 PM
Rather than focusing as bitcoin to curb corruption, I would focus on the blockchain technology as a tool to make that a reality. The reason why corruption thrives in every society is because there is element of secrecy in transactions which is something the blockchain will eradicate by making every transaction seen in the public if that is deployed to the electoral system, the records of birth and death, the records of graduates in the country, the records of revenue generated by government, the drafting of budget and its implementation among others, then corruption will be reduced drastically.
125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to most people change their BTC back into fiat? on: September 30, 2017, 04:20:27 PM
I've come across a number of places that will exchange BTC into fiat currency, but all have a shockingly bad exchange rate.

What methods offer the best exchange rate these days?

If you want the best rates where you will be happy and the charges you will pay will only be to the miners in form of transaction fees, the best is to sell to individuals who are also looking to buy bitcoin and want to avoid the high transaction fees as you are also doing by going through the exchange sites. The most common one is the localbitcoin but one needs to be extra careful on that platform. Another way to go is to visit if possible a national forum and identify trustworthy individuals to transact with and you are sure to get the best deal.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Virtual Currencies Expected to be Regulated in China on October 1st on: September 30, 2017, 02:24:26 PM

Looks like the Chinese are not against cryptos after all; they just want their share of all the money being made. I think this is the first of many countries to start regulating cryptocurrencies. I also believe this is a good thing. This will help get rid of the scams, and the regulation legitimizes cryptocurrencies which will help it to become mainstream. This will also help accelerate the price of Bitcoin along with the legitimate alt-coins.

https://news.bitcoin.com/virtual-currencies-expected-to-regulated-in-china-on-october-1st/

Any country would not give crypto currency a free hand without having some element of control in place. The regulation that they are talking about for me, didn't come as a magic it must have been borne out of series of meetings and consultations with stakeholders in the industry because they are money bags and have the ears of government, they all came to a compromise of regulation. What I want to see is them sustaining it and not come tomorrow to shout ban where there would be another round of crash.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I stll don't know what to do with my Bitcoins... on: September 30, 2017, 01:48:36 PM
Besides keeping it to raise in value later. There is not much I can do...

With fiat money, I can pay rent, go to restaurants, buy clothes. But with BTC, there is basically no stores that accept them in my country. Sure it's easier online, but then again the stores might not have the best products or is the cheapest/best value.

Am I the only one facing this issue?

Since this is what you face, I think the way to go is to look for exchange site that allows withdrawal of fiats or those that allow card withdrawal with that, you can then withdraw your btc which you can use to get what you wanted anywhere in the world so far there is an ATM machine powered by either Master card Visa. And I am sure there won't be any restriction to receive funds from abroad just be ready to bear the fees attached.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is Laughing on: September 30, 2017, 09:45:13 AM
China is laughing all day for the past few days because the whole world is under its control and influence. The recent news and rumors of new are all testifying to the fact of how powerful can China be in almost aspects of global play...not just in cryptocurrency really.

Why it came to this sad state? Well, China knows how to plan and it has a long-range goals and one thing is for sure Bitcoin and cryptocurrency may not be included in that global domination vision.

Right now, China can show a tantrum and the whole world can shake. Can you feel now the power of China all over your body (hell, am even using a body wash Made in China!)?
Anybody can actually laugh but what matters is who has the last laugh and in this case its bitcoin because going by the recent happenings, it seems that dark days are over and even the September 30th is here with us, and there is no crash which further points to the fact that the last laugh is here to stay at least to defat those who prefer to laugh first and hopefully it can be sustained even with the several adversaries coming against bitcoin.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no role in real world on: September 30, 2017, 06:44:07 AM
I really find it hard to believe how people are trying so hard to discredit bitcoin with several writings and arguments but what they have successfully done is to just make the faith in it increases and I don't see that stopping. If Governments, personalities, CEOs can come against bitcoin even to the point of using the forces of the law to achieve such purpose, yet people are still not convinced, then I don't know what else will work.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy altcoins or not? on: September 29, 2017, 08:20:23 PM
Should we invest in altcoins?and why?which is better altcoins or equity shares?

More important in situations like this still rests on the individual and no one else but there is need to exercise some level of care in all because while some ICOs have turned out to be the best, others have turned out to be the worst of all which is something that have called the attention of government authorities. For me, there are some projects on my radar and its because of the quality of work it entails and the team behind such project.
131  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Japan’s Regulators Are Putting Bitcoin Exchanges Under Heavy Surveillance on: September 29, 2017, 12:43:40 PM
I don't expect for the fact that Japan is giving a green light on bitcoin, does not mean they won't still protect their own financial system not because of the innocent users who hardly trade 1btc but the big shakers in the industry who will see that as an opportunity to funnel funds in an out of the economy without the eyes of government prying on their activities which I feel is still very much ok.
132  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bounty results calculation on: September 29, 2017, 09:10:53 AM
How bounty manager controls signature campaign? How does he check length of posts? Does he do it manually or with special automation tools?

Bounty managers have different ways of counting the posts and moreso its not really hard to count because most are based on characters and the moment you count very well, a 3 line or 4 line posts would have cover up the minimum what is next is to confirm if its on topic or just one of those spams. Aside that, that, nothing serious happens and that's why he is being paid.
133  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bounty Manager Salary on: September 29, 2017, 06:14:55 AM
A bounty manager is sure to get paid either with the coin he is managing or via btc depending on the agreement. However, the fee varies between the manager and the employer on what they can afford and that is why we have several of them doing the job. If the negotiations doesn't fall through,  another person might be willing to accept the offer. It simply means what you can accept to do your job effectively it can be 100$ it can be 50$ depending on your need or experience.
134  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: how to buy real twitter follower? on: September 28, 2017, 10:04:49 PM
Rather than buying followers who are even fake that twitter audit will show you, you can get it by just organising some few satoshis campaign to get followers and by that you can start building. Another option is to use theviralexchange.com a platform you could buy points then get it paid to followers to follow you. Don't waste your money on bots because it will end up being useless to your needs.
135  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin without China on: September 27, 2017, 04:39:47 PM
I don't see us removing China out of the picture at least not any where now that we are but its something that is possible the only thing is that it will be delayed but with consistency and expansion into other countries and multinationals taking interest in bitcoin, the people outside are still very much more than those currently involved in bitcoin.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: September 27, 2017, 03:41:04 PM
Dodgecoin will have a future! I believe. If they upgrade it for the better, it will for sure. It is actually better than bitcoin in other ways like it can do fast transaction with just not so big fee. I personally fan of it. It is my favorite compared to those other altcoin.

Couldn't agree more with you, mate. Dogecoin is indeed, faster and cheaper than Bitcoin in every way. Where Bitcoin is used as a store of value, Dogecoin is used as digital money for everyday payments at a fraction of the cost. With it, anyone can join in easily without sacrificing much of their money, due to its inexpensive price.

So even though we may not be able to see some real development for Dogecoin, it will still be used as a solid means of payment for many years to come. If it manages to grow its users and fan base, then it could go all the way to the moon!

Together, we can make Dogecoin a better cryptocurrency for the masses. Just my thoughts Grin
dogecoin is more cryptocurrency than other cryptocurrency. Fast transaction, mass adoption, still has solid community in reddit, and most important part, it is used as payment. Just need a little update, to make sure this coin isn't abandoned by its developer. Still, although without the devs, it has future in its community.
Just my thought, dogecoin is better than those high tech special feature coins, in term of real cryptocurrency.
Remember, cryptocurrency is still a currency

I just imagine the amount of potentials doge coin possesses and at the same time it just seems its not moving. In the past year, several coins have came out even after DogeCoin and they have even gone beyond the level that they were drastically but it seems DogeCoin is just crawling and I feel its due to not much activities around the coin, no token being created and the developers, I don't know what they are into.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO regulation good or bad? on: September 27, 2017, 01:55:15 PM
More and more countries are planning to regulate ICOs. China, Canada, Russia,... I think this in an development nobody can stop. Do you think it is good or bad that ICOs will be more regulated in the near future? What positive and negative influences will it probably have?

I think there will be more investors like professional managed funds or even retirement funds which will invest into ICOs. The prices for ICOs will then become even more expensive and make it more difficult to make profits for small investors.

The motive behind it is good but behind the scene is what is really killing the business. In the fiat world, to raise capital for your business at all, you must have spend a lot of money and at the end of the day, the amount raised when the entire charges is being deducted, might not even be enough to cover the needed costs for the project couple with the fact that it might not be fully subscribed which brings in the services of an underwriter. The underwriter charges alone can plunge the business into more debt. Above all, it does not mean the project will eventually be successful after all the stress. In all, I would still prefer ICOs not to have the hand of regulatory authorities.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pump groups ? on: September 27, 2017, 11:48:29 AM

paid or unpaid, on telegram or twitter or somewhere else.
want to give them a try, can you recommend some ?

if you cant post here, just pm me

cheers

I have seen some pump groups myself but I don't believe in it as I don't see it as a special skill being exhibited and most times you ended up in loss the reason being that the objective can only be achieved only if everybody is going that direction in other to buy and to sell which in most cases because members cannot be controlled on what to do, one might eventually lose for acting on such information and what makes them active is just population and nothing else.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie (me) trying to invest in a project on: September 27, 2017, 11:20:52 AM
Hi,
I'm new to this community and I'm trying to understand quick a lot of information in a short period of time.
If you can and have the time please share with me the steps I have to take to make a investment into a new ICO project. Let's say from the begining that this project is interesting and fiable, what are the steps that I have to take from the moment that I have the BTC/ETH until that ICO project will be released: how do I contribute to the project, how will they know that it was me who sended the contribution, how will I get the new tokens, where will I be able to get the new wallet, and other and other things that you consider important to know and it will be helpfull)
(If there is another discoution with simmilar question please send that link - I couldn't find it)
Thank you in advance.

Since you are assuming that the ground work has been completed even though that is something that cannot be completed until the desired result of raising the capital has been achieved. The next step is to visit their site which is where you will get the right way to invest but you also need to be careful at that end because there might hackers trying to clone either the website or the address where payment will be sent to. With that done, the next is to provide the necessary details they asked and you will be credited what you deserve in due time.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Jibrel Network | Putting traditional financial assets on-chain on: September 27, 2017, 09:49:23 AM
Having visited the site to have a feel about what is going on and participate as well, I noticed that the details required on the site will defeat anonymity that surrounds the blockchain with information such as the following:

Full name, email address, phone number, country of residence, citizenship etc. In as much as I have looked forward to this project, I think information like this will surely discourage investors who prefer to stay anonymous.
