Hello, can somebody save me from experimentation, is there any limitation regarding the number of GPUs per system with this miner? can i build a 9 gpu mining rig with 9 gtx 1060?  Huh

9 GPUs at windows 10

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDN2vkGPRW4

cheers!  Grin

if you looked closely that guy is only mining with 8 gpu's on Asus prime 270-A mobo. I'd like to be able to get 9 going as well but heard windows cant support more than 8.

I did it to 9 GPUs on windows with the same hardware shown on the video, Claymore support only 8 GPU thats why you cant mine with 9, but windows handle 9 GPUs perfectly (last version of windows 10)

i was wondering if EWBF miner could support 9 Nvidia cards, to take advantage of all the GPUs supported by windows.
Congrats.
If I remember well I think he once said -that the miner can support many many GPUs. (in the hundreds). But it is now easy for you to test if it works or not. So let us know when you do.

You prefer to sacrifice the M.2 and use a standard SSD? I didn't do the math. I was aware you could use an adapter on the second M.2 with win10 but it didn't occur to me to use both of them.

I use USB keys.  I don't know why you would need an M2 ssd on a mining rig.
I am saying that because the guys over at P.I.M.P. stopped using USB keys and recommand
using a SSD medium level as a minimum config. I am using M.2 SSD because they are twice as fast as
SATAs.

I have a mobo that I cant do more than4 GPUs, do you think I could use the M.2 to install a 5th GPU and use a standard SSD?

I guess your version of Linux (NvOC) is adapted to work with more GPUs.

It depends on what mobo and cpu you are using.  Some mobos and CPUs are best avoided or not used.
MSI 170A Gaming pro
1x--16x--1x--1x--8x--PCI--4x
Tried many configurations
Bios Gen1 selected
When I install a 5th GPU it detects it but get a !flag in DeviceManager.
So I was wondering if using a M.2 adapter would work in the sole M.2 on the board.Huh

I think I can make a 9, maybe higher with linux.  Waiting on more m2 adapters and pci splitters.  Wink

Hi Guys,

Sorry for being noob here. I want to start small and very interested in low powered mining.

Now I want to build like 6x gtx1050... would that be ok? How much min and max hashrate I would get on per 1050?

Thanks in advance!
 Smiley

SC version can do ~180 sol/s.  I have 1050s, 1060s, 1070s, and 1080ti rigs; and I would recommend making a rig with 1060s or 1070s instead.

The main reason is the efficiency: the 1050s can't match the range or level of the others.

Thanks, just wondering though since 1060 doubles the price of 1050. How about their wattage? and 1060 hashrate?

The price of 1060 is around 470 / 480... in this case, would you rather mine on 470s or 1060s ?

Thanks again!

Who really wants to mine with crappy AMD's?  ;P

What are the best settings for 1070 Pallit jetstream or gamerock flashed to gamerock premium?
I know there are many experimentators here with great experience. I have 450 sol and 170W. And that is not good result.
Notice: Pair of my cards cant handle flashed core clock with stable mining. It hangs and I forced to reduce core clock -30 to do it stable
Please give me advice and recommend settings for afterburner

Depends of you goal.
Solwise or wattwise?
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: May 30, 2017, 06:23:43 AM
I keep getting "ERROR: Cannot connect to the server. 7". Specifically:

Code:
+-------------------------------------------------+
         EWBF's Zcash CUDA miner. 0.3.3b
+-------------------------------------------------+
INFO: Server: zec-us-west1.nanopool.org:16666
INFO: Solver Auto.
INFO: Devices: All.
INFO: Temperature limit: 90
INFO: Api: Disabled
---------------------------------------------------
ERROR: Cannot connect to the server. 7

Running on Ubuntu 16.04.

I've tried nanopool, flypool, EU and US stratum servers for both, backup and primary ports for both, etc. etc.

I've run tcpdump and I see it connecting and sending the tcp packet (I see the json payload) but no response comes back.

I can even telnet to that hostname:port combination.

Any ideas??

How are you launching EWBF; and what arguments are you using?

Code:
./miner --server zec-us-west1.nanopool.org --port 16666 --user zec_wallet.worker --pass x

I've replaced my real wallet address for privacy, but that's essentially it.

that appears correct, I would try nanopools other port: 6666  also I don't think it matters but change --pass to : z

Code:
./miner --server zec-us-west1.nanopool.org --port 6666 --user zec_wallet.worker --pass z --templimit 80
+-------------------------------------------------+
         EWBF's Zcash CUDA miner. 0.3.3b
+-------------------------------------------------+
INFO: Server: zec-us-west1.nanopool.org:6666
INFO: Solver Auto.
INFO: Devices: All.
INFO: Temperature limit: 80
INFO: Api: Disabled
---------------------------------------------------
ERROR: Cannot connect to the server. 7

Yeah, I don't get it. I've tried 6666, 16666 and eu/us hosts, and 3333 for flypool etc, always that error. And i've tried x and z for pass.

I tried claymore, but it only supports AMD for zec. I used claymore for eth just fine on nanopool and ethermine. It's something about ewbf I feel like.

I use it with  Ubuntu 16.04 no problem.  This is how I launch it with more arguments and an absolute path to the client:

'/home/m1/zec/miner' --eexit 3 --fee 0 --pec --server zec-us-east1.nanopool.org --user zecADDR.worker --pass z --port 6666;

I mine under Ubuntu 16.04 because its faster than Windows 10 (the primary gfx card used for display seems ununsable under Windows 10).

Anyway, I booted into Win 10 today, downloaded the miner and tried it, but same.

My mine.cmd has:
Code:
miner --eexit 3 --fee 0 --pec --server zec-us-west1.nanopool.org --port 6666 --user  zec_wallet.worker --pass x --templimit 80

And when I run it, same shit:
Code:
+-------------------------------------------------+
         EWBF's Zcash CUDA miner. 0.3.3b
+-------------------------------------------------+
INFO: Server: zec-us-west1.nanopool.org:6666
INFO: Solver Auto.
INFO: Devices: All.
INFO: Temperature limit: 80
INFO: Api: Disabled
---------------------------------------------------
ERROR: Cannot connect to the server. 7

D:\Zcash\Zec.miner.0.3.3b>

So it's not even a Linux or Ubuntu thing. Comcast? IPv6? What could it be :/

--user  zec_wallet.worker
There is 1 too many space in the user param but I dont know if it matters or not.
I am at work so I cant test it for you.

In the start.bat , how to restart PC if miner has problem because restart miner doesn't work?
well the pc dosnt restart it'selve and there is normally no need to.
the miner will reconnect if it looses connection
use --eexit 1 to close the miner if it cannot restart the workers and run the start.bat again
if like that, how to auto run start.bat to restart the miner

:restart

Hello, everyone! Guys, can you please help me out? I'm new and can't get my miner work properly.

All I want is miner to restart itself when its glitched or error occurred and miner stopped mining.
My miner setup:

miner --cuda_devices 0 1 2 3 --pec --server equihash.eu.nicehash.com --user wallet --pass x --port 3357 --log 2 --eexit 3

Wheres mistake? (

Last parameter should be --exit 3, looks like you have an extra e?

miner --server equihash.eu.nicehash.com --user wallet.rigname --pass x --port 3357 --log 2 --eexit 3 --cuda_devices 0 1 2 3 --pec

When working right, --eexit takes like 30 minutes to restart.

it closing miner and after that in 30 minutes is should load it back? or it should close and start it immediately?
Right now my miner closing in like 5 minutes after error and does not start after.

Well I have not witnessed it live cause  it always happened while I was away but I could tell from the pool's chart
that it took half an hour to start mining again. Notice that I speak to the past cause it's been many weeks if not months
that my rigs have stalled. Once you find the right settings for your rig and that you stop playing with it, you will see that the miner
is really stable. I for myself find that under windows restarting my rigs every 2 days or so is a good thing to avoid the rig to slow down.

You can also use the code below to monitor and restart the rig

:restart
Timeout /t 30
miner --server eu1-zcash.flypool.org --user t1cA38xyUxJRDdQYacD6x7UUL8nyjTfKeo1.GigaGamer --pass x --port 3333 --eexit 3 --solver 0 --log 2 --logfile ZCASH.%date:~6,4%%date:~3,2%%date:~0,2%.ewbf.log --fee 2 --pec
ping 127.0.0.1 > nul
goto :restart

Dude, I am new to it, I managed to run the miner file on Linux x64 but I do not know where to edit the server ip and wallet address. There is only 2 file in the download, 1 is help and 1 is miner. Can some1 please teach me how to edit my wallet address?

Your download is incomplete. There should 10 files. You mod one of the .bat files.

Hey dudes, trying to help a buddy configure a 1060 rig with three cards but he's having some trouble getting the second and third cards working.

Specs:
OS - Win7 64
Mobo - M5A97 LE R2.0
PSU - Corsair 1200W
Miner - 0.3.3b
Not sure on the drivers

I've tried to have him set --cuda_devices to 1 and 2 exclusively to test the cards individually and the miner crashed both times. Only card 0 is working. Also tried the standard switch the ports around, change risers, reinstall driver, etc. to no avail. Any advice? Are there any config, Windows or BIOS-specific settings that might need to be tweaked to get this working? Any advice is much appreciated.

I guess that you used #1,2,3 slot. I believe That slot 1 is 1st GPU and that 2nd GPU would be 4th slot (black one) and the 3rd GPU, one of the 1x slot. Mosty the third one.
SO slot 1,4,3 I would try. (or 1,4,2)

Also check in Device Manager if all cards are detected and all drivers installed. ()

hi i just bought a 1060 3gb i just wrote this at my config

miner --server zec.suprnova.cc --user vince232.1 --pass 1234 --port 2142

Quote
From Suprnova: You can define your own diff through password field, for example: d=8192 as password gives you 8192 as diff
Try --pass x
and --user should be your wallet address

I felt like this miner needs some more work, I saw the other guy mining with a rx 480, a bit modded and claymore miner and he got around 350~. While I'm barely getting around 340 on 1060 6gb OC'd.

Are you serious?  your pissing and complaining that a guy with a 480 who paid 250-325 for their card is getting 10 more sol's than your 1060 that you paid 179-219 for???  Go troll somewhere else

I'm not complaining, I just ask that if the dev can push more power from optimizing the code or not.

Well I dont see any question mark in your comment. Looks more like an affirmation to me.
If you really want that 10 H/s just buy a RX480 with fan bugs included for free. Grin

Trying to get into mining, but I'm a bit rusty with my knowledge

1060GTX 6GB Settings /Win10
Recommended settings for a 1060GTX 6GB low power (high electricity bill)  under Windows 10 ?

multiple GPU settings bat file
What would be the setting if I have 5  (or 6 ) GPu's?
miner.exe --server zec.suprnova.cc --user YOUR_ZEC_ADDRESS.YOUR_RIG_NAME --pass x --port 142  --cuda_devices 0 1 2 3 4 ?

Backup Pools
What would be the bat file i I need some backup pools?
miner.exe --server zec.suprnova.cc --user YOUR_ZEC_ADDRESS.YOUR_RIG_NAME --pass x --port 142  --cuda_devices 0 1 2 3 4
--server OTHER POOL --user YOUR_ZEC_ADDRESS.YOUR_RIG_NAME --pass x --port 142  --cuda_devices 0 1 2 3 4 ?

Windows 10 mining configuration
What do I need to turn off. Auto update? No Sleep mode?  Would it be ok if I use Google RDP

thx

Backup Pools
Not yet implemented in this version of EWBF.
I did not try it yet but I think Awesomeminer.com might be able to do that.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: May 11, 2017, 11:52:01 AM
no more boost for this? i see that other 10% increase is possible if you squeeze more out of the code, other dev in other thread like sp have 10% more hashrate with their private miner

to be precise the private miner is 13% faster but price is steep only for big farms....

Where can I get a miner that is faster than ewbf for equihash, and how much does it cost?

You need many rigs to justifiy the cost.
Here we can gather to buy private miner. I can organize it. But need information. Who sell it?

And who is going to maintain it ?

By the way, recruiting on other Dev.s thread is not very professonnal.
So who would want to pair with a cutthroat anyway?
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: May 06, 2017, 05:04:02 PM
i'm having a problem here. I don't know if it's because i'm using the latest driver from Nvidia
or if is because i'm using the latest version of windows 10, Windows 10 pro creators edition.

it's showing this error:
i've tested all the miners you can think . the only one working right now is the eqm_V1.0.4cWin64

can someone please help me ?

obs: Yes i've checked my .bat file they're ok with the pools , and yes i did open the ports in the modem and router and shutdown the windows firewall and any windows antivirus.
and any antivirus at all.

I really don't know what to do.

Can you post your .bat file contents?

Yeah sure. here:

hint: pass

One step ahead of you... trying to figure it out now.

Just wasn't sure if it was a Windows issue or a EWBF issue...
Already scanned as Admin on Command Prompt and it said there was nothing missing or wrong...
Re-installing Windows 10 now to see if it fixes itself or not.  Just figured I would toss it out to see if anyone had any ideas fresh in their heads.

Nope... Re-installed from new Win 10 USB and still getting same error... UGH!  Its always something LOL

Your copy of MSVCR120.dll must be corrupted.
You have to find a working copy and copy it to the windows/system32 folder.

was mining great for a week

now this happens:

my miner opens and closes really fast

Your command prompt is running from c:\windows\system32
You need to call miner.exe from the directory it is saved in

how do we do this guys? god damn i wish this was in simplemining fuck windows

Put the command (call the miner with its full path) from a .bat file on your desktop, not from the admin cmd window.

I have tried this with "C:\Users\tom\Desktop\miner.exe" --server eu1-zcash.flypool.org --port 3333 --user t1QM4kRxb1h3TJeaEoT6VwWLm9ug2RL2fXf.zmain --pass x

still nothing

"C:\Users\tom\Desktop\miner.exe" --server eu1-zcash.flypool.org --port 3333 --user t1QM4kRxb1h3TJeaEoT6VwWLm9ug2RL2fXf.zmain --pass x
I'm in doubt that the miner is on your Desktop.

Should look like this.
C:\Users\tom\Desktop\Zec miner 0.3.3b\miner.exe --server eu1-zcash.flypool.org --port 3333 --user t1QM4kRxb1h3TJeaEoT6VwWLm9ug2RL2fXf.zmain --pass x
