How is your pool now? Was Nodejs modules compiled successfully and pool run?

I am having problems mining using GPU. I tried using claymore I get this error that says wallet is not supported and it cant connect to the pool when I tried XMR-STAK-AMD It fails to connect to the pool : sumo.sumominer.com:4444
[2017-05-08 10:26:27] : Connecting to pool sumo.sumominer.com:4444 ... [2017-05-08 10:26:48] : SOCKET ERROR - CONNECT error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. [2017-05-08 10:26:48] : Pool connection lost. Waiting 10 s before retry (attempt 1).
what might be the cause of this problem ?
Did you try with pool.sumokoin.com:3333 ?

Does anyone know when pool.sumokoin.com starts to payout from when you start mining? After the 60 confirms?
The payout is set for every 3-hours

I would advise to distribute hashing power between more pools. It looks like a nice coin, due to high diff already quite difficult to get some.
Good luck SUMO!
You are right. I hope more pools will be set up to share hash power and make it better for decentralization.

Why can not I connect to the pool, login and password error. What could be the reason ?
NsGpuCNMiner -o stratum+tcp://sumo.sumominer.com:4444 -u 81ad6689e0d793c23a94abe9c4100aa5251fc87d31e6263ce7d662d168d3d302 -p x
- You'll need a SUMO address that starts with Sumo... (but don't forget to write down 26 seed words for wallet restore if you got the address from wallet generator) - Claymore Miner (that you were trying) currently hasn't supported SUMO address yet. Please try (and recommended) to use XMR-Stak, view pool's "Getting Started" page for more info.

Anyway, I solved the problem, at least on Ubuntu. Deleted the wallet file and restore from seed. balance is ok. UP Replaced the wallet file from Ubuntu to Windows. Everything synced and worked. Probably something with the wallet file was. Thanks for the prompt support!
Glad that problem solved. Probably, there was an issue with wallet timestamp, still investigating for a future patch. Thanks for reports.

Exchanges?
We'll work with exchanges to list SUMO and update as soon as it's on. Which ones are you talking with already? Perhaps you can add their coin request links to the OP so we can all lobby those exchanges together. As you may see, we've just launched the coin today, so contacting exchanges should be in the next couple of days. We'll update links/progress here. Thank you very much for help.

The log appears showing that there were problems with daemon that somehow got stuck at syncing. Maybe, stop sumokoind then delete 2 files: poolstate.bin and p2pstate.bin would help. If not, please run sumokoind --log-level 2 and paste last 100 - 200 lines of log file for further investigation.
|
|
|
Did the daemon fully synced with network? If it did, please start wallet with log-level 2 sumo-wallet-cli --log-level 2
Then copy content from file sumo-wallet-cli.log in the same folder of wallet cli to somewhere like https://paste.fedoraproject.org/ and send me the link for investigation. Thx.

I ran the wallet on Windows in the console, it's all right, but where can I see the balance?
Typical screen messages would be sth like these: ./sumo-wallet-cli --wallet-file wallet4.bin Sumokoin 'Hokkaido' (v0.1.0.0-release) Logging at log level 0 to /sumocoin-mac/./sumo-wallet-cli.log Wallet password: ******** Opened wallet: Sumoo......xxxx ********************************************************************** Use "help" command to see the list of available commands. ********************************************************************** Starting refresh... Refresh done, blocks received: 0 Balance: 33.213561221, unlocked balance: 33.213561221 Background refresh thread started [wallet Sumoo2]:
You'll see "balance" (total coin you have) and "unlocked balance" (total coin you can spend right now) I did, but I get this way ./sumo-wallet-cli --wallet-file wallet4.bin Sumokoin 'Hokkaido' (v0.1.0.0-release) Logging at log level 0 to /sumocoin-mac/./sumo-wallet-cli.log Wallet password: ******** Opened wallet: Sumoo......xxxx ********************************************************************** Use "help" command to see the list of available commands. ********************************************************************** Starting refresh... I made a wallet through the site https://wallet.sumokoin.com/. Set up mining on this wallet, which got on the website, I can now use wallet generated on the site? This wallet generator will give you a wallet address and all info to restore the wallet (using wallet client tool). Please make sure you backup all info along with the address, especially 26 seed words. You can use the address to start mining with a pool, but to actually see balance and spend coins you'll need a TRUE wallet. I've posted above how to start Sumokoin daemon and start a new wallet with binaries: 1. Download and extract binaries to a folder, say, C:/sumokoin-bin
2. Open cmd window, enter the following commands to start sumokoind daemon:
Code: cd C:/sumokoin-bin sumokoind
and wait a few minutes until screen message says sth like: You are sync with the network, start wallet now.
2. Open another command window (do not close daemon window), start wallet client:
Code: cd C:/sumokoin-bin sumo-wallet-cli
follow step-by-step guide to generate a new wallet, you'll have a new wallet address start with "Sumo...". Remember to write down 26 seed words so that you can recover wallet whenever you want.
To retore the wallet generated at wallet.sumokoin.com, please follow these steps (copied from Monero guide): - Retrieve your 26 word mnemonic seed that you saved when generate Sumokoin wallet - Open a command prompt and navigate to the drive and directory that contains sumo-wallet-cli- At the command prompt type: sumo-wallet-cli --restore-deterministic-wallet- Once you press enter you will be prompted for a wallet file name. Give your wallet a new name, any name will do - Press enter again and you will be prompted for the 26 word electrum style mnemonic seed that you retrieved earlier - Press enter again and you will be prompted for a password. Give your wallet a new and long password - Press enter again you will be prompted to repeat the password You will then be prompted with " Restore from specific blockchain height (optional, default 0):" Default will start the restore process from the beginning of the Sumokoin blockchain. If you don't know the specific blockchain height, just hit enter. (Specifying a specific blockchain height will start the restore process from that specific height. This will save a bit of time in scanning, if you know what starting blockchain height your initial funds were transacted for this specific account.) After you have entered the 26 word mnemonic seed and have chosen your specific blockchain height, sumo-wallet-cli will generate the same public address and view key as your generated wallet and begin the refresh process automatically. (Please be patient as the refresh process may take a while.)

sometimes , My solo-mining shows "2017-May-07 08:45:32.735784 [P2P7]WARNING: no two valid SumoPulse DNS checkpoint records were received"
what does it mean?
No-harm messages. It's about optional block checkpoints pulling from DNS but currently we haven't added checkpoints to DNS yet. Thanks for report. Edit: We've added checkpoints to DNS, warning messages would no longer appear.

No thanks. Dev should make a Windows wallet at launch. 95% of members here use Windows. Now he and a handful can mine this. We're at very first cycle of dev so no GUI tools released yet. Sorry for inconvenience. Windows user, however, can easily start daemon and generate wallet with pre-built binaries. Here are initial steps to start mining: 1. Download and extract binaries to a folder, say, C:/sumokoin-bin 2. Open cmd window, enter the following commands to start sumokoind daemon: cd C:/sumokoin-bin sumokoind and wait a few minutes until screen message says sth like: You are sync with the network, start wallet now. 2. Open another command window (do not close daemon window), start wallet client: cd C:/sumokoin-bin sumo-wallet-cli follow step-by-step guide to generate a new wallet, you'll have a new wallet address start with " Sumo...". Remember to write down 26 seed words so that you can recover wallet whenever you want. 3. After successfully creating wallet, at wallet prompt, type: to start solo mining where 4 is number of mining threads you want to start (often equal or less than number of CPU cores) (or you may use the wallet address for mining to a pool.) Hope this can help.
