121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum Big PUMP.? on: January 04, 2020, 10:42:52 AM
if this is true then be prepared to welcome the next Ethereum hike. after a long time ethereum didn't give a big surprise. I hope this is true 2020, new ATH.

Well, it is about time that Ethereum will do some bull run. The last time it made one was during the days when its ATH was reached. After that, Ethereum was never rising even up to half of its previous ATH. I understand that the market has been bad ever since but the price of ETH is too far from the $1,400 ATH. I think it is already good enough if ETH will get back to 4-digit even if it does not create a new ATH yet this year.
122  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: January 04, 2020, 10:23:32 AM
I don't agree to some of your advice or suggestions. Marriage is meant to be a blessing, and this shouldn't make one poor, payment of tax is okay in a decent society to ensure the fund is available to the government because this is their only farm.

you are right that marriage is not the way to become poor, and i know that some countries have rules to half the property after divorce but i think one should maintain their married life because marriages is not done for the divorce that one should afraid of it. And about tax payment i would say that in a better society tax play a very important role.
In my locality there is a saying marriages are made in heaven, which means it is given such an importance. Marriage life is a life change in everyone's life, because till that it is two souls and once married two souls get united as a single soul. Everyone expect love, care, and one next to us to share our feelings. This gets fulfilled with marriage life, so at any cost should not avoid marriage. When it comes to taxation, if you aren't satisfied with the government then don't pay tax. I suggest this because the tax is being collected to do good to the people while very few governments does it right.

Marriage in your locality is somehow idealistic. In the real world, however, marriage is nothing but a ceremony which is done because it is necessary according to tradition. But it does not actually guarantee even those who are married themselves of a love everlasting.

Taxation is where the governments are getting their ill-gotten wealth. If I were to choose, I would not pay taxes. The people who have access to it are not using them honestly and properly.
123  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold and blockchain Technology on: January 04, 2020, 09:59:58 AM
If the blockchain Technology rises more miners more it Technology and servers and computers.

Then the Gold Price will Go up as demand too
Coz Every electronic device need gold Gold is best metal for Electrical wires and small things.

Gold / electricity/ blockchain are similar asset or resource group

That's my Conclusion:)

Wait a minute, we have a lot of technologies here in our home and I cannot see a single one that has gold electrical wires and other stuff. The only stuff that has real gold here are jewelries and that's all. Your conclusion appears to be based on something wrong.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing in crypto? on: January 04, 2020, 09:41:16 AM
I am still waiting and hoping for more businesses that would integrate cryptocurrency in their accepted payment already. This would happen more easily if transaction speed would be increased significantly and the fees would also be decreased significantly. This would encourage not just the businessmen to integrate crypto in their business but also the consumer to spend them in their purchases.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guys stop investing! Use your brain, please on: January 04, 2020, 09:20:35 AM
I just fed up on IEO projects that being held by P2PB2B! After so much warning, negativity why so many people keep investing in P2PB2B IEO projects? I haven't seen any successful project from their IEO launchpad, rather some good projects ruined themselves by launching the sale on the shit P2PB2B exchange.

How the ICO dead, almost the same way IEO hype is going to over for all of these shit, fake, scam exchange. Please think hundred times before buying any coin from the P2PB2B, Coinsbit, Latoken, Exmarkets, Vidax, Coinlim IEO launchpad!
Any thoughts from you?

I am supporting you on this. In fact, you are realizing this a little bit late already. Even during the time when ICO started to lose its investors, you should already be very careful in investing on new crypto projects. Most of them are not worth supporting. The IEO has not really improved the way investors are looking at new projects. Add to it the shady IEO platforms that you mentioned and you have a perfect combination of worthless investment.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple is less decentralized than BTC and ETH, but that’s not necessarily bad on: January 03, 2020, 04:08:16 AM
I admit that Ripple is a fairly well developed coin but I don't agree if Ripple is more decentralized than BTC and ETH, ok don't take BTC but ETH alone as a comparison of its development, ETH has given birth to many decentralized tokens up to now and Ripple did give birth token also but less highlighted by enthusiasts of cryptocurrency
Are you serious? You have no idea about Ripple.XRP is centralised. They are working with bank. You think Bank is centralised?  If not the how can Ripple centralized.Better to gather knowledge. Search on google "Is ripple Centralized or decentralised "

Did you make the search on Google yourself? Please tell us what you learned.

Ripple have several questionable centralized features. But it does not mean they have zero decentralized feature at all. Moreover, working with the banks do not necessarily make the project centralized. They are not the banks themselves.

This is highly debatable and different experts have their own take on whether Ripple is really decentralized or not. One thing though is that there is nothing central to shut down with Ripple.
127  Economy / Economics / Re: Hong Kong protestors call for sanctions against HSBC bank on: January 03, 2020, 03:37:09 AM
To be fair with the HSBC bank, I don't think that any bank in any other country could have done anything different.

Let's assume a scenario in which there is a large violent anti-governmental protest in the United States against the killing of Qasem Soleimani. The protesters manages to raise $70 million, without the permission from the authorities. Now the authorities order the bank to freeze these funds. Do you think that the banks will be in a position to reject the directive from the authorities?

If there is a legal order coming from the courts, then the directive will be followed by the banks. Otherwise, the government cannot just command any bank for that matter to freeze a particular account simply because it is used for non-violent protests, or owned by some opposition groups of members, etc.

Quote
I am getting suspicious about this entire episode. $70 million is a huge amount of money. I have never heard about so much money being raised in any protest around the world.

Hong Kong is a very rich financial district not just within the Chinese territory but the whole of Asia. There must be so many business tycoons inside and outside Hong Kong who are one with the objective of the protesters which is to maintain their state's freedom against the authoritarian hands of China.
128  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we heading towards Recession? on: January 03, 2020, 03:08:37 AM
Are we heading towards recession like 2008 wherein people have cut down their spendings and companies are laying off their employees, we can see cost-cutting everywhere, is it really a recession or just the panic about an uncertain future which is creating a gloomy atmosphere everywhere?

Where does this question come from? Is this some feeling within your country? From my end, I am not feeling that a recession will be coming soon, at least not a worldwide one. The atmosphere is pretty much the same.

I wonder, would recession still be a constant in our economy if we are already using Bitcoin?
Nothing will change even we use Bitcoin. The economic growth of a certain place or in a country will be the reason why many companies will struggle to lay off their employees. I believe that not all are suffering this one, it was just an isolated case cause there is no such thing happening in our place. And I hope it won't.

So I guess there is really no recession coming, at least not a global one like the one that happened in 2008.

By the way, I would like to believe that the fast depreciation of the value of our currency will not be happening if the currency that we are using is not fiat but Bitcoin. The fact that fiat is unlimited and shady in terms of how much is being created is something that causes its value to erode even faster.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum upgrade to POS blockchain Vs. Bitcoin Halving[Ian Balina statement] on: January 03, 2020, 02:46:45 AM
Lol. Tell that to the majority of the crypto community. Tell that to the people who made ETH the number two in all of the crypto world. Or better yet, get to know ETH more.
then please do tell me more about eth that makes you think it will replace bitcoin in terms of total market cap. it is completely nonsensical for me.

What is this? Putting words in my mouth and asking me to defend it? Link me first to my post saying ETH will replace Bitcoin in whatever way and I will respond to it. If you cannot give me that, you are simply creating imaginary statements out of your mind.

what is so good about eth? is not it only making a transition to pos?

I am responding to this specifically. Read your statements again please and tell me if everything is perfectly all right.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A question about ETH2.0 on: January 03, 2020, 02:26:31 AM
Someone who wants to be validator like you has received confirmation from Buterin that the average computer power is sufficient: https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/a8jnrh/future_staking_questions/ecdvlgd/

This is great news, thank you for sharing and bringing clarification to the forum. I was also considering the possibility of staking, but I once read that staking ethereum would be a minimum of 20 ethereum and I consider it to be very expensive especially for low income earners.

The last time I heard, the minimum is not 20 ETH but 32 ETH. I am not updated in the last minute of there are any changes to the amount of ETH required to be able to participate in the staking.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum upgrade to POS blockchain Vs. Bitcoin Halving[Ian Balina statement] on: January 02, 2020, 03:49:26 AM
So far PoW for me is the best mechanism

Why do you think so? You must have a nice reason for it.

That basically counters the brilliant minds of the Ethereum team.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any thoughts about this market tale? on: January 02, 2020, 03:27:11 AM
It’s somewhat technical, the truth is adopters think it’s the most effective tool and its object –price action- the ultimate determinant of profits in trading activities. What is it? I want to hear your opinion about it after reading the article below

https://medium.com/mark-price/the-aftermath-78742a4992f6

Did not read the article. I know it is for traffic only.

Talking about price action, everything is pretty much unpredictable here. Tools are useful only if the market happens to be moving according to their more or less informed guess. Outside of it, their informed guess is as good as our informed guess. But that "informed" part right there is, as I've pointed out, depending on the market which is unpredictable.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum upgrade to POS blockchain Vs. Bitcoin Halving[Ian Balina statement] on: January 02, 2020, 03:06:24 AM
Before we react to statements, or tweets to be exact, I think it is right to ask first who says it. If the one who issued such statement or created such tweet is a person not even a big figure in the field, then I guess there is no point reacting. I guess my point is clear. Who is Ian Balina? Some random crypto advisor without any resume?

what is so good about eth? is not it only making a transition to pos? yes, it is very likely for the price to go up because pos will increase the demand for staking purposes. but pos is not something new, it has been here for a few years.
unless they create their own consensus that can solve every single problem we have right now, this might be a game changing. people know cryptocurrency because of bitcoin.

Lol. Tell that to the majority of the crypto community. Tell that to the people who made ETH the number two in all of the crypto world. Or better yet, get to know ETH more.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for the low to buy more Litecoins on: January 02, 2020, 02:39:31 AM
I doubt it will be happen, since I know litecoin price just touch $40 for its the lower price and it just take a few times for its price comeback to recover.

Based on coinmarketcap, the all time low for this coin is $1 at 2015 ago and there is no all time low anymore (I mean below $40).
Well to be honest, litecoin just follows the price of bitcoin whenever the price of bitcoin moves up or down. Sometimes it is a bit late which gives quick traders an advantage to buy or sell for a nice scalping. Indeed if you check the subreddit of litecoinmarkets, I see some users just go on with "upvote the daily" comments and its hilarious to see these shills.  Grin

I am sure a bunch of bagholders of litecoin are waiting for a small pump and finally dump all their coins. But that would be a shame to others.

Now if you feel the coin is going to drop more, dont buy now then. Majority of hodlers are still holding. Maybe with the next bitcoin pump you will see bigger prices. Wink

Litecoin is in an interesting position. There are a lot of better projects out there with better technology that people have been investing in to more lately. However, Litecoin has really good name recognition. I'm not sure this alone will be enough to keep it afloat in the long term. But, I'm not entirely sure it's completely dead either. It's really hard to say what's going to happen with it.

Litecoin is not just banking on its name. Litecoin is a solid coin not just due to the name which is almost as old as Bitcoin but also because its use as a currency is also growing. Litecoin is Bitcoin in the altcoin world. Actually if you want to transact with cryptocurrency with a lower fee you will be better off using Litecoin rather than Bitcoin. Lighting network is one thing that Litecoin adopted earlier than Bitcoin.

136  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there formula for bitcoin price ? on: January 01, 2020, 03:54:20 AM
I am wondering analysis of bitcoin price/value.
I see some simplified econmics model in Princeton course about bitcoin.
That is Supply = T/P
           Demand = S/D
For price P = TD/S.

Although it is simplied model, while it provides basic thinking about it.

My question is is there other popular model/formula about it ?

I am afraid not even a Princeton course about Bitcoin could determine its price. The price of Bitcoin is determined solely by the market. There is no other mathematical formula that determines it. Bitcoin is offered to the public where everybody can buy and sell as they please. That is how the price of Bitcoin is created. You can create a general pattern of supply and demand on Bitcoin but not to determine its exact price.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is your new year Resolution? on: January 01, 2020, 03:31:14 AM
Happy New Year in Advance!

In my view, This year was average for the crypto market, and at the same time, it was great if we consider 2018, the year of the longest bear run. This year, the Bitcoin price went nearly 14K USD! Sometimes we did a mistake by selling a good coin, sometimes we mistook by holding a shit coin! Many people get scammed, wallet hack!

So, now 2019 is ended, what is your new year resolution guys? What changes everyone should follow in 2020?

Leave your opinions!

Nothing much. I am a HODLer in 2019 and the previous years and I will continue to HODL in 2020 and beyond. Perhaps the new year resolution in that is that I will not HODL much shitcoins. I will sell them away regardless of their price too far from recovering at least their ICO price. I don't mind losing from them. After all it is either losing only a certain value or losing everything. I have shitcoins that are in danger of losing every worth.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Much WOW?!?! on: January 01, 2020, 03:10:30 AM
I've recently read where the beginning of the New Year will also bring an Ethereum Hard Fork which will in turn increase inflation by a monumental 20%!!! What in terms of price and overall well being of Ether and it's future will this decision make? Any thoughts, comments and speculations are as usual, more than welcome. Thanks and a Happy Holidays.

It is only a wow if you consider the dedication of Ethereum developers to constantly make their products better. They are always hitting the road to meet their targets on time. That is indeed a wow. But as far as how much all these improvements affect the price of Ethereum we have to wait for it. We cannot say wow yet because as of this time Ethereum is still stuck at the bottom. But all these improvements if received properly by the community will certainly cause the price of ETH to pump.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if you have 1 btc what would be the coin that you buy and hold ? on: January 01, 2020, 02:46:12 AM
if you have 1 btc.... give us the strong coin that you will invest in and hold it and why

My number one option is to keep that as Bitcoin. I might not really exchange it for something else. We all want Bitcoin more than any altcoin. In fact we are trying our best to gather altcoins so that we will have Bitcoin. We are trading altcoins as best as we can so that our Bitcoins will grow. So why would I convert it to something else if that is already a goal achieved?
Good point, as you already have the best coin for your investment not unless you already have a good knowledge and best strategy to work with your short term trading. Everything depends on how you understand the situation and what attitude to use for your profitable journey inside this industry.

There are times when the price of Bitcoin is soaring really high that it leaves the rest of the cryptocurrency market in red. There are many times when Bitcoin is very bullish that the altcoins are suffering because of it. I might take that opportunity to use some of my Bitcoin to buy altcoins because they are very cheap. But I will only buy the altcoins that I know for sure will recover such as ETH, XRP, LTC. But I will do this to still increase my overall Bitcoin value.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many ICOs you know launched their product and are doing well? on: January 01, 2020, 02:26:10 AM
Just for the statistics. How many ICos did you witness or partook in that really launched their product and are successful till date?

We are just crurious.!

I have been here for years and I cannot remember how many ICOs that successfully launched their product and are still active until today. What I can remember is that Dent is still active and very much operational until now. The majority of the ICOs, even including those that have launched their products, are already gone from the market.
