121  Economy / Economics / Re: agriculture and bitcoin on: February 02, 2020, 05:29:02 PM
Honestly, I don't know how to combine agriculture and cryptocurrency. The only thing that I came up with is to invest money in Bitcoin and Ethereum earned from your land. So you can increase your income
The OP is talking about the country's agriculture like crops, farming etc not only about lands or your own profit. Well for me organizations of agriculture should consider using cryptocurrency so that they can earn more money for the development of agriculture like spending the money they gained with cryptocurrency in buying good fertilizers and more lands to be farmed.
I have an idea. You can create a coin using which you can buy local agricultural products in your country.
I agree with this, they can take advantage of the technology and create their own coin with its sole purpose of helping develop our agriculture.
122  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Boy Abunda's statement about cryptocurrency on: February 02, 2020, 03:51:49 PM

123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If I want to explain to a 10 years boy.what is blockchain?How should I explain? on: February 02, 2020, 03:10:39 PM
Except if the child has an interest in blockchain, but I don't know what the chances are for a child to have such interest when there's so much kid stuff for him or her to get busy and "dirty" with. Other than the child's inquisitive interest, I feel it's wrong to bore a child with something as complex as the blockchain technology.

There's a slight chance that if you introduce a child that early to what blockchain means, before they grow, he or she may with time lose interest in it due to how they perceived or understood it when they were younger, not knowing that our levels of understanding differs as we grow in age.
Exactly, even if they will have interest in blockchain they will still have a very difficult time understanding the concept of blockchain, they probably will not mind it after you have explained it to them because of the depth of blockchain but if you will still eager to explain it to the most simpliest way try to use things that the child is familiar so that he can understand it easily but still i think they will not understand it even if you simplified the explanation.
124  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management , how ? on: February 02, 2020, 02:24:34 PM
successful trading is about managing risk minimising it as possible  as we can , i have read that with correct risk management even with flipping a coin we can do trading and be profitable

i want to know what methods/rules  are there to minimise risks
When we do talk about minimizing risk then there would be lots on the list.

1. Never be greedy
6. Dont be emotional.
These are only the basics but actually a hard thing to be done.
Things like this are given and actually are basic stuffs to remember when managing the risk. Just want to point out the Greediness, I mean it isn't the worst thing to contain when trading coz it can give you more than you wanted if handled properly in trading. Emotion, we've always talk about this one for the past years in trading on which everyone has to avoid including it with the present possession while trading coz it might lead to such emotion based decision.

4. Set stop loss
This is the topmost and a must priority on minimizing the risk in trading. Set your ending, always have the finish line in every situation where you will stop winning or losing neither of the two. As a matter of fact setting a stop loss is really helpful especially when you don't have much spare in trading.
Indeed and by that thing i can proudly say that i have manage to lessen and handle well all the risk i have been taking and i think the most important two word you need to do in order to avoid or lessen risk here in crypto world is to set goal, by setting a goal you will not do something without a purpose which leads to better decision because of the path you are taking and also this will help you stop greediness.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why are exchanges still listing shitcoins? on: February 02, 2020, 09:40:22 AM
As long as it has its value, it will continue to be listed in an exchange.

Some may be dead, some are close to being dead but as long as it has its values, it will continue to be listed. You can even see dead coins in there, just ignore them and let that be a memory that instills there, it would just remind you that no matter how expensive it is in the past, it is now dead and that will be the same for all of the cryptocurrencies.
Yeah if a certain coin that most people call "shitcoins" has still its value then the exchange having it will still keep it and not take it away from the list because it still a alive coin its not dead yet but maybe close to being dead because of low demand but as long has its alive and have value the exchange will keep it.
126  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Bakit wala tayong kadala dala kahit na paulit ulit tayong bumabagsak on: February 02, 2020, 07:35:49 AM
It's just a matter of perception, being down is part of life, it is how we get back up that matters the most. Ika nga, what doesn't kill you make you stronger.
Keep yourself immune at lalo kang tatag.
Dapat nating itreat ang ating mga mistakes as lessons kasi dito tayo mag iimprove as trader.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Video Game Company Supports Cryptocurrency on: February 02, 2020, 06:22:41 AM
Where is Microsoft? Where is Sony? The moment these two take over crypto implementation in video games the result will be mindblowing, let's leave out game developers and hope for the biggest console giants, imagine playing PUBG and earning rewards base on crypto? What other thing can make gaming more addicting ?

It's great if it happens by playing games and making some virtual currencies that have pretty good prices right now. Maybe that was the thing that everyone was waiting for in my opinion.
That will be a whole new level of playing video games and i am sure that people will like that even if they are not the gamer type but of course for the gamer it will be a new opportunity to continue their gaming and then your hobby can also be your part time job which is a win-win situation.

Indeed when bigger and more popular companies step up on makinh their own digital currencies and implementing it in a game that will surely be a big event for cryptocurrency and video game world and this can help in the mass adoption of cryptocurrency
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are mainstream events linked to crypto's price movement on the market? on: February 02, 2020, 05:49:11 AM
I think that would be a natural thing, because crypto is the second option for the whole world today. the first option is the stock market, gold and other real estate. when the asset drops drastically or because of the issue that makes it rise dramatically, crypto, which is the second stream in the world, will be the second option and it will definitely greatly affect the price of crypto in the market.
Indeed and it will really have an effect to cryptocurrency specially when events are about economics or about stock market and also to add it events that is about new technologies which very close to crypto can also have a role on cryptocurrency price movement, the effect may not be immediate but for sure it has so aside from researching and studying price graph you can also look at the events to help you predict future price puml or dump.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: be careful with projects that offer you great prizes, that is not a guarantee of on: February 02, 2020, 12:55:39 AM
A big prize is not a guarantee and even what happened until now, a good project only gives rewards at a low rate, so when there is a project that offers a large reward then in the end they will only get negative feedback from observers here, but all have reasonable reasons and we should be more careful. Indeed, when someone offers a big reward it will make many people greedy without worrying about the results in the future, because when greed happens in the end it will only make us regret having sacrificed time and even the money invested is useless.
So obviously their primary targets are the ones who are new to this kind of thing, they know newbies will have more chance of biting their scam projects than someone who are here in crypto and has been into projects for quite some time because they knew that those people will most likely not fall for their traps, always remember that you need to work for every coin that you will get in projects and if you encounter projects that offers you reward that is greater than the work and effort that you will give think about it maybe its a scam.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Okay. What is the main factor that boosts Altcoin value? Popularity or Tech? on: February 01, 2020, 11:26:03 PM
Marketing can't sustain the coin/token, usability and community are main factors in any coin/token's survival.
Marketing can but only for the short term, but when the community will be very solid and it can sustain the token for the long term. The tech also becomes the main factor to build a solid community. If marketing doesn't give any impact and why was the team doing so many marketing? It was caused by this is to attract more users to join the community.
Actually it can be both because technology and the popularity of the currency have a big role to the growth of altcoins value, technology can help mass population to easily adapt and use altcoins and that can make them use more of the altcoin and while the popularity of it will also help it to be included more in people's portfolio but if i have to pick one it will be tech because tech is the foundation of crypto because popularity will have lower chance of having people use a certain altcoin.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remove the bad influencer from your life! on: February 01, 2020, 04:07:55 PM

we decide our future here, its up to us on how long we can hold but we should always be smart not to be so greedy not able to make profit when there is an opportunity to sell.

This is universal truth in crypto! Many People like to fudd maybe they want the price comes down again so they can buy again and fill the bags, some people feel panic to sell immediately and some people become greedy to hold for a long time instead of selling on time! As we choose our future in the crypto world, so, we have to avoid all of these nature! Fud, greedy, panic nothing is good!
Indeed and also we should always keep in mind that our greatest enemy is ourselves so before we take of outside negativity we should first take care about ourselves about our negatibe thinking and by that we can properly decide on our own about when to hold or when to sell your cryptos and yes we hold our future so don't stay with a short term goal, vision your future with cryptocurrency and it will also help you better yourselves.
132  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: February 01, 2020, 02:33:23 PM
I don't see why would government's cryptocurrency be a threath. Competition is good, such cryptocurrencies don't have any special position in.the market, in.fact they are often without success. And if they succeed to attract users and compete with their value that is a good thing.
Also, that shows that governments are interested in cryptocurrencies and explore.their possibilities and that is positive sign.
Yes. For me, this is a positive development for crypto because it just shows that the government have come to trust crypto but they want to take advantage so they create their own digital currencies. And i think this will be a good start for majority of the people to fully understand how crypto works and its advantage compared to fiat currency.
But we cannot actually just rely on the governments. Blockchain technology is been popular due to its emerging features like anonymity, transparency, fast and global transactions, etc which would perhaps be disturbed by the governments if they ever try to enter the cryptocurrency field.

They would not for sure accept cryptocurrencies as they are because it might cause some internal or external matters which would affect the economy of the country and hence the governments might need to modify some changes like creating a coin which could be traceable, etc. This would not be that good for the community here as they would make cryptocurrencies loose their original state of nature.
Absolutely, governments having decided to create their own digital currency or crypto currency can damage the sole definition of cryptocurrency because they really might modify it so that somehow they can benefit in it but of course this also can be good for whole lot of people will meet crypto/digital currencies and they will be opened to crypto which means mass adoption. So to conclude whatever happens one thing is for sure, it will be a development to digital currencies.
133  Economy / Economics / Re: If you could invest your cryptocurrencies in the environment would you? on: February 01, 2020, 01:46:38 PM
I would use renewable energy if it was affordable for me and competitive with what I currently have - like an electric car, solar panels, etc. But I would never donate my money to environmentalists, especially to some strangers on the internet, especially if they run an ICO or otherwise involved with blockchain, tokens and other scams.
indeed if there is no electricity then cryptocurrency will not survive because all of them need electricity but you should know that electricity can be obtained from sunlight, water and air so I think maybe cryptocurrency investment is still good but you should invest in coins that have limited supply like bitcoin so you can keep it long-term until the supply reaches the maximum limit and the price can be expensive.
Well you don't really need to give your cryptocurrency to someone you don't know or even if they're environmentalist, you can have your own work of habing something good for the environment like what you guys have said solar panel or you can also invest in hydroelectric power so that you can have something good for the environment and at the same time you have some good investments.
134  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona Virus and The Effect on The Markets on: January 31, 2020, 03:51:37 AM
I don't think it's having any sort of effect on the markets. It would have to be ten times worse in terms of spreading. It  has to be bigger, like a war.
I think if the virus continues to spread around the globe it will surely affect the market for tons of people will not be able to buy and sell because they're more concern about the virus and that means the demand will slide down that can make prices go down as well and in this kind of situation specially in the origin of virus people might convert their cryptos to fiat for emergency use but that will be just for a moment where they will use exchange site but after that they will temporarily abandon their accounts because of the virus spreading.
135  Economy / Economics / Re: what should consider before investing in a coin? on: January 30, 2020, 11:05:58 AM
Well, it is subjective, but you should see their ico promises, their team behind the coin and their charts and other such stuffs to see how well they are performing under the market pressure, don't just invest in fear of missing out and never invest in a coin which is getting heavily pumped, you have to do a thorough research by taking your time out for it.
Thorough research and deeply understand the motive of those developers from developing the project. There's no assurance inside this market
but you can lessen the chances of mistake if you will do your homework. Before picking anything from those assets make sure to analyze and
observe every behaviors coming from both developers and supporters keep reading news regarding to the project especially those progress that
they've providing.
Indeed a strong community is also a big thing to be consider when choosing what coin to invest to because they will have a big role in spreading the knowledge about the coin they're supporting. Yes doing some research is good so that you will get to know yourself if that coin will be worth your money but you can also consider asking tips from the crypto community about what coim to invest.
136  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we must study Economics at University? on: January 26, 2020, 05:59:17 PM
I do think that instead of studying one can even put in some practical at a very young age , since in the schools we do have economics as a subject people can actually start at an early stage and this could improve the situation , you know even in China kids start at such an early age and this have proven effective and I think in college people can have a ted talk on it or something like this , learn from the best and it would give them motivation to do everything .
Yes some schools teaches economics and things related to it to young ones, High School students to be exact(here in my country) and yes it is helpful because they are already understanding things about economics at a young age but as we enter college most of them tend to forget ehat they study about economics so instead of just having a ted talk maybe we can have a special subject or minor subject about economics that can be teached in the 1st and 2nd year of college. Even though we have our own dreams and subjects we want to specialized, having economics teach in college can help students reach other opportunities and contribute more to the country.
137  Economy / Economics / Re: Ok. Number of Bitcoin transaction increased double. Expect price increasing? on: January 26, 2020, 05:31:31 PM
I wouldn't expect to see an increase right away, but I believe its effect will be felt in the long run.
Increase of transactions simply means increase of users, and that is called "adoption", which everyone is expecting for bitcoin in the long run.

I would say we are at the right patch now, so please be patient.
Increase in transactions doesn't necessarily mean that there had been a mass adoption. Price increase shouldn't be expected just yet, we have to ensure first of all that most, if not all of the transaction carried out were people cashing in, not cashing out. And aside from that this increase in transaction could be caused by the upcoming halving, which if it's the case then we might need to expect a dump after a month or two following the halving.
Nope, for me increasing the transaction means the cryptocurrency, especially the bitcoin, is getting a lot of new users, and that would apply the basic supply and demand law. If the demand goes higher and we all know that the bitcoin has a limited supply only, it can cause a pump or even a bull run. Bitcoin might get the new all-time high after the pump if the users are continuously increasing 100k USD will not be impossible achieving. Just let's wait after the halving on what is going to happen.
Well yes the law of supply and demand can be present but it won't happen easily or instantly, price increased isn't easily attained just because the transactions doubled and also the doubled transaction doesn't directly mean that there are new users of crypto, it can mean that currenct users transact more than they do but the adoption is still open so let us all hope for the mass adoption of bitcoin that will give us a stable growth for cryptocurrency.
138  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of Bitcoins - What will happens to BTC on: January 26, 2020, 04:22:17 PM
i do not agree if bitcoin will only be what it is now, because adoption will make a difference in the function of bitcoin, because when bitcoin is only judged to be the same then that means no change happens, and when that happens then of course bitcoin will collapse, but now is different and bitcoin has a better future with adoption and it will certainly be very useful to be used more broadly
there will be no end if talking about the future of Bitcoin, Bitcoin is something new and the future is still very bright to be seen, if anyone views Bictoin is a threat to the government then that person is stupid, Bitcoin will change the world
of course bitcoin will still be developed in the future, in the future it is likely that most governments will definitely support this technology. those who say bitcoin is a threat to the government, of course he does not have extensive knowledge about this technology

Bitcoin will really not stay to what it is now because bitcoin is something innovative it is meant to be our future so it will be useless to make bitcoin just to collapsed once it reached its total amount and yes government will totally support blockchain in the future for it has lots to offer but for now we need to work for the mass adoption of it so that we can step closer to what we want.
139  Economy / Economics / Re: Which currency will dominate the crypto market? Please vote! on: January 26, 2020, 10:54:56 AM
Actually this poll is a mix in which it combines with currency and cryptocurrency in which gave us a hard time to think about but I already made my mind in which what will really dominates in no time. I vote USD because I think it will be the one who will dominates it because bitcoin and ethereum will be based on US dollars because this is the platform in which how to measure the value of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies like ethereum and ripple. This is very hard to decide but I think this is the best answer or decision I can give right now.
I totally have hard time looking at the options for yes i agree it is mix and what makes it hard to choose is the fact that it has its own field like this certain currency is better for investment and the others are for daily use so it will really depend on to what thing we will use the currency but if we will ask who will dominate them all i think it will still be bitcoin.
140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the most popular cryptocurrencies for investors? on: January 26, 2020, 06:49:53 AM
Obviously, It can be found in the top 10-20 coin/tokens in the coinmarketcap. I didn't click your link for it may direct me to another advertising page.
These coins made it to the top ranked cryptocurrency because they are obviously popular and 90% of this coins can be found in majority of the investors porfolio.
Of course, not everyone who has a high risk tolerance to put a bulk investment in an uncertain coin mostly belonged to the top 100 and beyond.
Same thing here, i mostly check the coinmarketcap aboyt the good looking cryptocurrencies at the moment so that i can have a good coin in my portfolio but of course you will need to search on your own about the coins you will put in your portfolio, so basically you can check cmc to look for worthy crypto and then do some research to finalize your decision and then finally invest your money. Also if you are a newbie in investing you can ask for guide and advise to senior investors.
