I've got a competitor up at http://chn.dontmine.me:9999/Running on a backup machine so don't expect too much, but it seems to be paying me okay.

Is there demand for a mmcfe/PPLNS pool still? I can hack one together if people are interested.

I can't find the source code. The git hub doesn't have it, the sourceforge doesn't have it, so I'm staying away.

i dont know why people dont like that place, only for FRC thing it was not the best way to do but for other trade or take out my coin i dont have trouble with the site. if you want i can trade them for you on the side.
Same. Everything works 100% fine and smooth. Had 1 downtime for 2 minutes in the last 20 hours. I've only had successful exchanges there, but the site is still annoying with glitches. The chatbox bounces around (not that important) and a lot of the time I'll click my account and get a blank screen and have to refresh a few times to get it to show up and things like that. When I withdrawl and put in my auth code, it gives me a white screen but then still processes the order. The balance of coins isn't automatically updated sometimes, you have to click "details" and "update" to force it to poll the account balance. Bottom line from me: It's buggy and frustrating sometimes but it hasn't eaten my coins.

It should be good to go now.
Last night I blocked suspected botnet dodg, and I'm not sure, but my suspicion is (probably not intentional) that his bots hopped to another pool and then came back and kept getting unauthed messages which requires a mysql connection to check the auth (blocked). I installed memcached into the stratum server (probably should have on day 0) so that repeat requests don't require database checks and increased the connections supported by mysql so it should be okay now.
Well, the admin of WeMineLTC.com said it's not botnet: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=187900.msg1963152#msg1963152Well I didn't penalize the user; I paid all the due coins. I had no proof but I operated on: 1) The user IP came from a hong kong edu domain 2) No email provided so no contact to verify 3) Single user represented over 200 MH/s on the then-net rate of 600-700 MH/s 4) Public opinion

Sorry for the quote stack. What do you mean? I'm live with this now, what kind of problems do you have with it?
I was under the impression that it wasn't working correctly based on the author's comments on that page. (under "Current issue details") Are those issues closed? Well, the pastebin is from 4-09 and I haven't had any issues in my testing/usage.

Announcement in the middle of the night and few miners with MASSIVE hash power mining 3 million coins in less than a day. Yeah, not scammy at all.
The announcement wasn't in the middle of the night, it was right in the middle of US daytime. 2:20pm on the east coast. Stop trying to spread misinformation. There also was not MASSIVE hash power. Block difficulty was super low, anyone with a hasher and low expiry settings was getting blocks.

Has anyone gotten this working with stratum-mining or are all the stratum pools using litecoin-eloipool?
I think the inverse may be true. I didn't get litecoin-eloipool to work. Is there a patch somewhere for stratum-mining? I can't find anything. The guy who runs coinotron sent me some patches he wrote and I was able to get a miner mining but the hashrate was really low and all the shares were being rejected. https://github.com/viperaus/stratum-miningGood luck :-) Doesn't look like that's quite working yet... Thanks though, I will keep an eye on it. Sorry for the quote stack. What do you mean? I'm live with this now, what kind of problems do you have with it?

The blockchain has to be modified to accept other blockchain's PoW's. The way merged mining works with bitcoin and namecoin is that the namecoin block chain agrees to accept a special transaction hash in the bitcoin block as proof of work for a namecoin block.

This is from memory so it's probably wrong. x16 spec is 75 watts x1 spec is 25 watts You run the risk of pulling too much current through the 25 watt connector, which results in problems under several possible conditions: 1) The GPU prefers PCI power over 6+2pin connector power 2) The PSU or MoBo cannot handle the full load from the PCI-E connectors combined, when over-loaded 3) The x1 connector's traces were slimmed down to only support 25 Watts There's also this mobo which comes with a 12 V molex right by the slot for extra power: www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157339The asrock boards have nice power/reset buttons built into them (most of them) which is nice if you're going caseless and don't wanna bring out the screwdriver and start jabbing pins on the header.

Hi, I mined feathercoin for a few hours soon after it was released and I think I found 7 blocks. At that time, my wallet showed 7 transactions, but only 400 FC as my balance, I looked at the transaction log and only saw two transactions (200 each from mining). I waited a while and oped my wallet more recently and let it update everything but it still didn't do anything. Does anyone know if this is normal for solo mining or am I doing something wrong? thanks
Orphaned blocks, normal for feathercoin early mining.

I'm beginning to wonder if the "research" aspect of this coin is related to 51% attacks and DDoS takeover and things like that...
