I noticed this coin is very similar to Bitsend and Lauda is the main dev of that coin. Is this coin somehow related?
Oh MY! That does explain quite a bit. If LAUDA is indeed the main dev of BitSend, then, it's painfully obvious why the active attempt to de-rail DO. To answer the question though, I can say with 99.99% certainty that LAUDA is not directly involved with DO development. Interesting! Now we get why he did downvote the project, since the DO is gaining so much attention and traction, probably casting a troublesome shadow on BitSend. I sent him a message also to ask him for a proper analysis of the project. Our dev still has a -1 negative trust. Can anyone have that removed with the procedure I wrote? takes 5 min.

Dear DogeMajestic, You spent a significant amount of time complaining on DeepOnion's main thread that the devs were not answering you. Yet, you do exactly the same thing and your allegations are still based on intepretation from a very early project. IS that really a serious approach?

I find it trully concerning that a lot of people here seem to talk with "ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY", like you ""HAVE the information that this is a scam.
If we analyze what the OP here has said, he just pointed out some facts that did not please him because he acted entitled regarding the dev "I WANT ANSWERS AND YOU ARE OBLIGED TO GIVE ME SOME" An entitled attitude rarely produces the results you seek.
I am a nuclear reactor engineer and in that field, you have to be careful with what you "think" you know. You always have to watch out for the probability of being wrong. because of this, in that field, the word "certainty" and entitled attitude have to be washed down the drains.
In the OP of DeepOnion, - 70% of the premined coins are said to be destined for the AIRDROPS. - 20 % for bounties and promotions - 10% for the devs
That means that after 36 weeks from now, the only thing that the devs will have in their hands is: - 10% of the coins - The staked DeepOnions from the premined coins
If we consider the possibility that the project is not a scam, and currently NO ONE can say with absolute certainty that it is, then all of the people here talking like THEY KNOW THE ANSWER will look like pure fools and idiots, only because they act entitled.
Dear Dogemajestic, maybe you should put some nuances in your sentences and be more prudent in your conclusions. Also start considering the fact that you do not have all the answers, therefore stating that "THIS PROJECT IS A SCAM" is pure arrogance for it goes with the assumption that "YOU KNOW THE ANSWER".
You have the right to be concerned, the right to dislike the project or how it is handled, you have the right to raise the issue about the premined coins or the staking, raise the issue of a possible dump on exchanges. However, you cannot act as if "you knew", for if you are wrong, you would have contributed to destroy the project because of failure to recognize your own limitations.
And as you can see, i have not tried to either defend or destroy the project, this is not what I am here for. In a purely scientific POV, your approach is fundamentally flawed.
Only time will tell. The project will not air on the exchanges anytime soon and by that time, the premined coins should be significantly distributed.
Parameter to check for being either right/wrong : - Total holding of those top 10 accounts : should diminish at an increasing rate (150k per week and more afterwards)
I hope you will all see in this post a way to ease your emotions and start being more rational and prudent. Jumping to conclusions only leads to being wrong and look like an idiot. Time will tell and we shall see the end of it.
Good day to everyone

BCC is having some nice time on the exchanges for now, good for the BCC owners!

Everyone should be aware of the plan
so (1) anyone who attack deeponion in any threads will be banned permanently from airdrop (2) anyone who actively support the community may receive additional bonus
it is in dev team's discretion to decide who will receive the bonus payment
Sounds absolutely fair and totaly logical. All of those speading FUD and openly criticising while participating in the AIRDROP are just showing hypocrisy. Either we believe in it and go full power to contribute to the projects development, or we don't and just move on. As we use tosay in FRANCE, you can't butter and the money you paid for that butter! P.S : Translated half of the OP for the French Part. Should be done today (as promised). Gonna have to work on the graphics afterwards (but that doesn't prevent from posting the thread)

Dear Community,
I have taken the appropriate time to read the last 5 pages, which have started to bear some negativity. Why is that? Some people initially raised questions, which in fact are simply questions. Based on those questions, others started to jump to conclusions. This is where the problem arised : The FUD and SCAM allegation based on nothing solid.
However, it has to be brought to your attention that by answering to these people, all of you maintain the topic on negative ideas. There is only one way to treat efficiently trolls and FUD : absence of reaction. They simply do not have enough influence for us to react to what they say. A flame without air just gets extinguished...
We are discussing in a constructive way how to promote the project, get the airdrops, listing on exchanges, bounties, logos and so on. These should be the only topics maintained by the community. all the fear based and conclusions without facts junkies just have to be ignored.
Let us stop even discussing the nonsense, for it will only bring sense to it. Let us not poison the thread with that and just keep on contributing to the project.
What is it that we can do, in an innovative and unseen way, to promote the project, strengthen its image, build up trust factors? If we all start to brainstorm, how can we all make it stand out?
These are the topics we should discuss. Let us trust the devs in their job (clean the thread of all FUD) and focus on ours.
Sounds good?

It seems like some addresses are cheating on the airdrop by using so many addresses to collect onions just only for one person. Dev I suggest you should use ip address censor and any other strictly measures to keep the cheaters out. They're taking sweat of real promoters.
But if the Dev can check the IP address of wallet/address/transaction, then what is the purpose of doing everything over Tor network? The whole point of DeepOnion is to hide public IP, so I doubt the dev can do as you said. I would also add that if someone is doing that kind of thing (signing up to the airdrop) with multiple BTT accounts, multiple DO addresses, he is serious enough to either hide his Ip address or use a VPN. In this case, this means writing 10 "constructive" posts a week multiplied by the number of owned BTT accounts (with of course management of several DO wallets, IP addresses)... While it's not impossible, it does take quite some time and effort to set up. Someone that dedicated is by essence, participating hard in the community. Not entirely sure we can label him a cheater.

@crypto-rainbow Why you ignore my question?
Who possesses addresses from top-10 except for the first three addresses. And why such huge sums of ONION within several days have been sent to them?
If we speak about transparency and equitable initial distribution, then the community has to know to whom these addresses belong and whether they will participate in POS. It is especially important in view of possible fast emergence at the exchanges.
My guess is that they belong to developers, or other bounty wallets. No matter what it's okay that the developers of this great project keeps some coins. Did you think they would work so hard, and just give it all away? of course not. I definently appreciate that the amazing devs on this project keeps a lot of coints for themselves. maybe it someone who join the airdrop using many account so he can get many of Onion Coin btw how the airdrop work ? This is simply not possible: only 300k coins have been distributed, which means the amount present on the mentioned accounts in red, which is around 2 million, does not correspond. If you sum the amounts on the 7 accounts, you have a little under 2 million coins. If you look at the project specs, the total mineable amount is 2 million coins. They cannot be mined coins as well : we have seen a member on the forum stating that he was dedicating 40Mhs/s to mine 5 onions per day. If we consider the first account with 500k coins, and the beginning of the mining process 14 days ago (airdrops), that is 35k coins per day. With some easy calculation you can estimate the processing power at around 285 Ths/s (roughly) Highly unlikely (even with lesser numbers). the most logical conclusion is that these coins are dev-held and spread through different wallets for redundancy purposes (in case of a hack, not all coins are lost) If I am right, then the total amount of the 7 addresses will drop incrementally (with the increasing number of drops). I hope this reassures everyone here P.S : thank you @bumblebee24 for strengthening my understanding, it appears yes I was wrong in my previous conclusion.

been in crypto since 2014 and have been in on many new coins at launch. this has amazed me how proffesional the devs are. how they answer questions quickly and so far the wallet has proven to be rock solid. And i am alsi used to seeing soo much fud thrown at anything new that shows promise. so far we have avoided all that. all i see is positive comments. and when someone posts a concern it's quickly answered and shown to be nothing to worry about. keep it up devs please and the community will grow and grow. this seems to be an anti troll coin.lol
Thank you for the feedback. We have still a lot things to do and we expect from participants at least one bitcointalk member in the airdrops! i've brought over at least 3 from another forum i belong to. What's completely new about this project for me is not the technical aspect. There are a lot of very competent people and dev who can create awesome projects. The problem is always the same, marketing, adoption, community and stuff. Making an awesome product is not enough by essence if there is no need for it, or if people don't know about it. Marketing and generating adoption with a self sustaining process is a lot more complicated. So far we have seen that the devs are able, with subtle enticing conditions, to create interaction and "subconsciously" force us to participate in the community. I have always brought in 2 friends. One already got in the airdrop, the second one is boosting up his activity on BTT. The general feel of the project is also enticing, positive communication, no "stress" generated buy delays in coin distribution or whatever. Dear devs : I do think that the approach you have regarding the marketing, community building and positive interaction brings up the momentum in a quite outstanding way. Well done! Thank you @PROZSA as a member on this forum I truly respect your intellect and how well you construct your post's. I find it very comforting reading your posts and becoming a fan, If Vote central goes live you definitely on my short list as an Opinion Leader. @Abdulmad : I really appreciate what you wrote. To be entirely true to myself, I do strive to be an Opinion Leader for the DeepOnion project and allocate my engineer brain power ( ) to contribute in its success! Having your vote already is comforting and I will make myself worthy of that trust of yours, you can be sure about that. Right now, I am translating the OP in French (yes, I am French ) and gonna handle the growth of the community from my country as well.

This thread is growing so fast, that i only can read about 90 % of the postings. Even dev can't read anything. I recognize this, because he is not answering to every question like in the beginning of this thread. Am I the only one who is a little bit perplexed, that user here are making the listings at exchanges. Dev had to do this, no one other! This is very chaotic, nobody knows, who is writing to which exchange. In the last two pages here, 2 people wrote to Polo and exchanges don't like mails from hundreds of people.
The whole project is well planed, but I strongly recomend to take the Exchange-thing in one hand, in def-hand.
I have to agree on this subject. It won't propagate a professional image, even more so if the contact form is not well written. It would appear to be a matter to secure and handle privately, in order not to mess it up and have the exchange blacklist the coin for no reason. What do you think crypto-rainbow?

when is next airdrop?
4 Agu 2017 UTC 9:30! Cool. Does next round the total distribution will be increased? looking forward for an exchange too. You can see the answer to that question on the first page of this thread. I believe the next round will also have 150k coins distributed so the answer is now. The amount will increase a little later in the airdrops. The max amount being around half a million! By that time a lot more of us will have joined the airdrop! But no need to rush the exchange phase. Don't know how the fact that 98% of the coins are dev held affects the exchange adoption.
