Maybe he hasn't read enough about the Blockchain and its benefits yet.
122  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mark Yusko: Bitcoin can go up to $ 30,000 without correction on: July 10, 2019, 06:45:18 AM
It probably will at some point. I think there is a real possibility for another spike sometime in the future surpassing the ATH of $20,000.

125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to invest my $1300 USD? on: July 09, 2019, 01:11:05 AM
You could put it into gift cards if you want to get some dirt cheap gift cards from any brand on Paxful (see my review). Or you could put it into Gold which is right around $1300 / oz. Otherwise, you could just buy Bitcoin.

127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Makes Bitcoin Valuable? on: July 07, 2019, 07:19:08 AM
Bitcoin is the first crypto asset backed by the blockchain. Bitcoin is valuable thanks to the number of users that have it and the number of banks and services which carry it.

Exchanges like Paxful which has low or no fees makes it extremely simple to buy and sell bitcoin for over 300 other payment methods.

129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS BITCOIN ATM PROFITABLE BUSINESS ? on: July 07, 2019, 06:08:11 AM
Definitely.

As long as you have foot traffic, and run the numbers correctly, installing a Bitcoin ATM would be a profitable business model.

The only costs involved would be the price of owning/leasing the machine and the cost of the permit required to place a Bitcoin ATM at your desired location. If done correctly, the Bitcoin ATM could even be the attraction itself.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Dominance on CoinMarketCap on: July 07, 2019, 05:56:04 AM
Bitcoin has the major media and news outlets backing it up with interviews, stories, price charts, and discussions so I am not surprised that it has such a large market capitalization. I would invest in Bitcoin for its safety as a public crypto asset and perhaps others that will evolve with the growth of the blockchain and its integration into our systems.
131  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase on: July 07, 2019, 05:44:56 AM
I would recommend just using a Bank transfer for your transactions to save money on fees and for safety.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix is gonna film documentary about crypto on: July 06, 2019, 02:56:22 AM
Great! Netflix has a production studio so I am sure that what they produce will be high quality. There are only a few documentaries on Bitcoin so we need more to be released.

137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Libra never mentioned "Bitcoin" in Whitepaper on: June 19, 2019, 03:10:59 AM
Libra Coin is not connected to Bitcoin in any way. The only thing similar between Bitcoin and Libra is the fact that they are both secured by a blockchain and function as a store of value.

Instead, Libra is Facebook's own Blockchain backed asset which will work as a multipurpose crypto asset, similar to Ethereum, but used moreso on the Facebook social network platform.

My favorite thing about Libra thus far is this:

"Facebook is setting up a regulated subsidiary, called Calibra, that will provide access to the new currency and will separate financial data from other “social” data that Facebook uses on its platforms."

This means your Facebook data will be stored within a secure blockchain in the future which will help to avoid scammers, phishing attempts, stalking and other nuisances currently present on social media platforms and increase the amount of utility within messenger, groups, etc.

138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to invest about crypto currency on: June 16, 2019, 09:38:07 AM
If you want to invest in Bitcoin I would suggest choosing a favorite exchange which is reliable and investing in a secure Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency wallet such as the Ledger Nano S.

Here is a great guide on bitcoin investments.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than gold and USD? on: June 12, 2019, 02:03:22 AM
Bitcoin is a strong form of currency as it is easily exchangeable and fungible. Rarity is one Bitcoin's strong suits as miners have become expensive and computationally heavy, while the price of the coin itself is now in the upper thousands.

Gold still has its value and is an excellent store of value. I would recommend keep some of both, and avoid having too much dollars. There is an easy way to exchange between Bitcoin and Gold. See here.
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Retail Giant Target Is Quietly Working on a Blockchain for Supply Chains on: June 10, 2019, 05:17:17 PM
"Retail giant Target has quietly entered the blockchain space.

Since mid-2018 the Minnesota-based retailer has been working on a blockchain-powered solution for supply chain management, dubbed ConsenSource. More recently it pledged to support the Hyperledger Grid project, a supply chain framework that earlier saw participation from food giant Cargill, one of Target’s suppliers, together with tech giant Intel and blockchain startup Bitwise.io.

To boost its distributed ledger technology-related work, Target is now looking for a blockchain engineer and systems developer, according to the company’s career page.

The new engineer will be contributing to the recently open-sourced ConsenSource and to Hyperledger Grid, developing “distributed ledger systems, protocols, smart contracts, CLI’s, and RESTful APIs in an open source environment,” the job posting says.

“I’m proud that Target will support the Hyperledger Grid project, and that we’re committing dedicated engineering resources to build out components in the Grid architecture,” Joel Crabb, Target’s vice president of architecture, wrote in a little-noticed post on its corporate blog.

The ConsenSource project, which Target recently open-sourced, was primarily focused on the certification of suppliers for the company’s own paper manufacturing. Target has been “working directly with the forest managers and certification boards” studying the technology and trying to figure out what data can be shared on a distributed ledger, Crabb wrote."
