1201  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you guys think the price of BTC will be in 2018? on: December 28, 2017, 02:34:11 PM
BTC will never be $1m like some slot machine players are thinking but i could easily see $30,000 or even
$50,000 before it pops was the fees to be much, much lower because slot machine players and the public
won't buy $100 worth of BTC if it costs $45 to send money from A - B

if BTC just becomes a rich mans toy then it will come under attack from Annon so maybe they
would like to think about keeping the small guys happy too which we are not with these crazy fees.
1202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the future of bitcoin with these high fees? on: December 28, 2017, 02:24:38 PM
I think bitcoin value is staying because there is more users of bitcoin who are holding it for long terms and have no intention to sell the coins

Yes i am sure it's different this time if we can keep finding new excuses and the black tulips with yellow tips in
1634 were doing better than other tulips but flowers are use to brighten the place up and money or currency
has a job of moving wealth from A to B so that's a nice theory but it's wrong

Draw a graph and plot the recent rise in fees against the price and also note that BTC is making bad press for
the other coins too so the party might we wilt on the vine if they don't fix this darn fats too.
1203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the future of bitcoin with these high fees? on: December 28, 2017, 02:15:19 PM
Yea I think this is something they need to fix ASAP I think it is the NUMBER 1 problem with bitcoin.... This is supposed to be a currency to use to transact globally not "gold" if I wanted gold I'd buy gold these developers need to move their ass and fix this issue YESTERDAY. It is basically stupid to transact in bitcoin right now LTC is the way to transact as of right now especially if your paying for low value items...

Well said that man so please vote for my code change that limits the fee to $1.50 because we don'y need 20,000 full nodes
just to process a maximum of seven transactions a second and the coin mining will still work without the CPU wars and wasting
electricity if we cut the numbers down from 20,000 to 1,000.

Miners that don't like the new rules are free to leave and if they carry on trying to use blackmail then Annon
will turn on them and that won't end well for anyone.
1204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the future of bitcoin with these high fees? on: December 28, 2017, 02:05:08 PM
Many people like to send a test transaction from wallets or exchanges to an address before
committing to larger amounts but the crazy price of fees has put paid to that plan and the
slow speeds makes it look like the wheels are falling of the wagon anyway.

The question you have to ask yourself is are the miners trying to lock us in because it
sure does look that way to me and if you look at the chart below then you can see that
ten big names control 90% of transactions.

https://blockchain.info/pools

Forget about Lightning coming to the rescue in six months time or place any faith in testing
because they tested BTC for six years but apparently did not know that it would not scale
to anything over seven transactions a second.

See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYHFrf5ci_g

Being a software engineer myself let me offer a fix in one line of code
public static money MaxTransFee=1.50 // Fuck the miners ripping people off

The developers keep talking about consensus so who wants to vote for my recommendations if like they say
we have a democracy in Crypto-land
1205  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's next for Bitcoin? $1M, $60K or $1K? on: December 28, 2017, 01:49:59 PM
You know that the bankers are backing BTC when the crazy transactions costs are not being
reported in the Mejia and the Segwit2x fork was hidden from view so unless they reduce the
fees then the best you can hope for from BTC is that it will trade sideways and the public
will not buy into it so no chance of the price going to the moon for now
1206  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Lightning Network VS SegWit2Mb(S2X) on: December 28, 2017, 12:29:57 PM
Lightning Network is a sticking plaster that will not hold
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYHFrf5ci_g

The main ledger should hold all transactions from $0.10 to $25,123 and
trying to split the data up using banks (Hubs) will only create more trouble

You don't write programs like this, you have all been taken in by a scam
to create CPU wars and to waste electricity or are you enjoying $45 fees
and a mere 7 transactions per second on BTC plus long wait times.

Inflation double on each fork so little to nothing from the original white-paper
is working and the crypto nuts have taken over programming here and made
a right mess of the whole thing.

VISA does 25,000 transactions per second and BTC has 1000 X More CPU
power to use than they have so come on guys, start waking up because it's BS
and trying to share a 200gb database between 20,000 nodes and to keep it in
sync is plain stupid

A good system must accept some type of centralization which you can do without
handing power over to anyone (Coordinators in effect) and the ledger must become
more tree like in its structure so that the processing can be carried out by organized
groups of nodes.

Pow is a total joke and needs throwing in the bin and if you build a shit system
that leaves itself open to this 51% attack they warn us about then go back to
school and learn to program.

1207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GDAX / Coinbase deposit lost, anyone else experience this? on: December 28, 2017, 01:36:05 AM
Coinbase cannot be trusted and they did not pay me my $10 joining bonus and will not reply to my email

Thanks for letting us know and sing it from the tree top because if they are open then they are trading
and should not treat you like shit.

keep us updated will you and good luck but with transactions fees so high in BTC we cannot afford to send
test amounts like we once did without paying greedy miners $40 each time, system is broken, not does
what it says on the box
1208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wallet and forks on: December 28, 2017, 01:26:48 AM
No, if that happens then a lot of people would be buying bitcoin cash right now. You only get the forked coins depending on how many bitcoins you have in your wallet. Also having 1 bitcoin gold won't gain you 1 segwit 2x. 1 bitcoin is not the same as 1 bitcoin cash or 1 bitcoin gold.

Yes, 4sure in segwit2x who said it's 1:1 and my understanding was it is the same for cash/gold as well so if on the fork date you had
0.1 in BTC database then in Bitcoin cash you would have 0.1 even if it's not worth as much at this point in time

Correct bitcoin gold won't get you any seg because they fork the BTC database only and not BTG

1209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats gone wrong with the price of BTC on: December 28, 2017, 01:04:39 AM
Maybe check it again and refresh... it looks right to me.

I was going to call you out because I know what i was seeing but i was using a VPN (Hate google tracking)
but just to be sure I turned it off and it's like you say and looks just fine.

Maybe they screwed up something when they try to converting the time zones but watch this space
and i will try to upload the screenshot
1210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats gone wrong with the price of BTC on: December 28, 2017, 12:50:51 AM
Anti-cen, any chance you can post that screen shot for us?

Not sure where to upload on the forum but i will do that for you if you tell me how
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats gone wrong with the price of BTC on: December 28, 2017, 12:46:58 AM
Maybe check it again and refresh... it looks right to me.

I keep moving from one week to one day and it's still a long straight line downwards with price under $16,000 but
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/
Well this one looks normal and the price is upwards and moving towards $16k so i don't know
1212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats gone wrong with the price of BTC on: December 28, 2017, 12:34:29 AM
Sometime price going a bit crazy. Dont think about that now.
Next year you will see more waves and take the advantage of the wave if you can. Just watch the price now is the thing i have to do.

Yes i am use to spikes and i know that some of them get removed because on the 7th of Dec BTC hit a
peek of $19,340 and it was hanging around $19,000 for an hour but none of the graphs the next day
showed this but i have never see a long straight line like this one before.

I took a copy of the screen this time and will see what i can find on other sites.
1213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Whats gone wrong with the price of BTC on: December 28, 2017, 12:18:30 AM
See https://www.coindesk.com/price/ and view Bitcoin (USD) Price for one week because it's
lost the waves and is shown as a straight line heading down slightly as if a data
feed has been lost so is this anything to do with the segwit fork or is someone
finally taking some action against the miners with the crazy high fees.

The day price just got a slight scribble at the end of this straight line but it seems
very odd to me as i am sure you will agree

1214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Fork Questions on: December 28, 2017, 12:09:09 AM
But let's be serious for a while, most of those forks are shit

Most of these forks will use code that people like me wrote for free (Not me this time) from Github and
just make some tweaks to the code to get it working so they are no more shit than the original system and in
some cases better and that's without having thieving miners in a monopoly ripping us off on fees.

Having 20,000 full nodes is shit and the 51% attack theory is shit if they designed the code right
to establish trusted nodes (Which they do have) so who's working for the bankers and big oil when
you look at it.

By the way I work as a software developer, have for 20 years and the way they implemented
this block-chain as they call it is useless, wastes CPU and electricity but don't tell the slot machine
players because they all think they are stock brokers and software engineers all rolled up into one.

1215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Fork Questions on: December 27, 2017, 11:57:37 PM
More reading required I guess.

And maths too given the silly high transactions fees with BTC if your coins need to be moved to get the
free ones. You, you err you don't think they are trying to lock us in do you because it's starting to look
that way to me.

Maybe all we will have some left to feed the baby from these free coins so best hold on to them
and hope the bubble does not pop yet.
1216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Fork Questions on: December 27, 2017, 11:53:10 PM
It is essentially free money given that the forks don't steal your coins. Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Cash are safe and we all know this but how much information do we have on the others? I remember reading Bitcoin Diamond is a scam and they are trying to take your coins be weary of them. All the others I am not sure about but the point remains be weary of them until they prove they aren't trying to take your coins.

How do you get the free coins or do they ask for your public key

Coinbase owes me Bitcoin gold but someone tried to hack the nodes when it went live
and I suspect it was the big boys so i am really not sure if i will get any but SEgwit2x seems
safe and this time i moved my coins out of Coinbase to make sure plus Coinbase won't give me
$10 in BTC joining bonus so i trust them as far as i can spit anyway.

1217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Physical security practices for Bitcoin wallets on: December 27, 2017, 11:42:34 PM
64gb microSD card on ebay is $8.00 and Android phones allow you to put Apps on the card
so for it's price that sounds good to me and many of these hardware wallets cost too much
and the user interface is not so good and you get tied in the service provider anyway.

I really like Jaxx wallet because it's easy to use, lots of currencies and has built in
ShapeShift but due to a security flaw it's really is a "Must" to take the precautions
that i have mentioned above.

if you are using Microsoft Windows that is little more than a remote terminal these days
then do not worry because the CIA/NSA have your data already and you should not trust
Chrome browsers because I wrote an extension for it and I know for a fact that the API
in Chrome does not call the extension code for some Google Url's that a add-blocker
might block so best keep sway from browser base wallets even if the are easy to use.

Don't forget to put your browser in private mode with add-ons disabled. Majority of browser add-ons reads browsing data be careful with them, some them might steal your private key for an online wallet.

You beat me too it, see word does get out
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Cardano replace Ethereum? on: December 27, 2017, 11:25:00 PM
I am struggling to see the reasons behind the current cardano pump, I can't see any strong reason... but hey, that's how crypto works Wink

The current way the block-chain is implements won't scale, created CPU wars and PoW is using so
much electric that it's warming up the earth

Miners (Monopoly on BTC) and bankers are happy but clients are not due to speeds and costs
so maybe that's why the price is trading sideways and others are taking over and I hope Segwit2x
does well tomorrow and it sends a clear message to the BTC dev team to get it's finger out and
to stop working with the bankers
1219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2x Dec 28th on: December 27, 2017, 11:18:23 PM
ok, it seems as it is actually a attempt of fraud .

At the start it already was very suspicious  that there are no big news of Segwit2x and also there would have been a significant market reaction to this event.

THus i call this BS.

Lots of news but i agree it's been kept out of the main stream media just like the crazy high
transaction costs for BTC but Bx2 is trading and I suspect your upset as a miner because the
jig is almost up where you can milk the system.

What you say could be termed as slander but if your looking for fraud then may i suggest that
you go back to the white paper and read the bit about "Virtually free transaction fees again" because
$40 plus is not what it said on the box

Public static Money MaxFees =1.50 //Should fix BTC
1220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming Bitcoin Diamond or Super bitcoin forks...? on: December 27, 2017, 11:09:08 PM
You are ahead of the game so how do you get the Bit-Cash and Gold if you had your BTC on the block
at the time of the forks. Coinbase won't give me my gold and i suspect that many of the coins in the
pool are nothing more than fakes, it's what bankers do you know.

This time i made sure and have put my coins on the block so that i get my B2X and Coinbase
does not get a chance to steel them from me.
