1201  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easy way to get bitcoins deposited with USD and US citizen? on: December 11, 2013, 05:10:06 AM
Coinbase is quickly becoming hated... I've used Coin.mx several times and got my coins immediately. See my signature for a rundown of their process.
1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 10 GPU LTC Rig configuration? on: December 11, 2013, 05:05:50 AM
Before we get started and you all decide to give me those 'your crazy' responses.... yes, I know this is a pretty penny. Yes, I know I can invest in a BFL device or two for what it's going to cost me to build this, but I want to mine LTC. I'll get back to mining BTC later.

Anyways, is this possible? I have an opp to buy ten (10) 7950s at what I think is a good price nowadays. So I understand I'll need 2 motherboards - can they be configured to work together?
1203  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin Stealing Programs!? on: December 10, 2013, 12:10:54 AM
Careful all - this is probably an attempt to get you to download this. Probably a install a keylogger or some shit on your system.

OP is a liar who forgets his lies. One of his previous posts he's from Germany, and another he's from the Ukraine. This is also his second post trying to get people to download a program.

I am from germany lulz. Show me a post where i said i am from germany?

I also just tried to warn you, nothing more.

Here:
Sorry, im from germany and i dont have the best english. What do u mean with your post?

Also, your post was more of an inquiry versus a warning. That's what makes it seem suspect btw.

1207  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buy BTC Instantly with Credit Cards! on: December 09, 2013, 04:05:02 AM
i would never scan a card and send someplace on the internet without a slightest clue how they take care of such sensitive, personal data, much less make a video of myself with a card and id.
btw banks do not recommend actually recommend against making pictures of your cards and sending out.

i also have a hard time letting my card out of my sight at gas stations and dining places

In normal situations, no I wouldn't. However, because of the nature of these transactions, I can see how they're using it to assure against credit card charge backs. I don't think identify theft would be at the top of their list if they were out to get us... if anything, they'd disappear with everyone's coins like other exchanges. But even if there is something funky is going on, it's a credit card, so I can dispute unauthorized charges.
1208  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buy BTC Instantly with Credit Cards! on: December 09, 2013, 03:56:28 AM
careful with coin.mx... says they are in West Palm Beach, FL.. but they most certainly are not.

Where are the located? So far it's worked out for me, but if they do have misleading info listed on their site, it would be nice to bring that to everyone's attention.
1209  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buy BTC Instantly with Credit Cards! on: December 09, 2013, 12:48:18 AM
Made two BTC purchases today. The only issue I have thus far is the time it takes for withdrawal requests to process. It seems that when online chat isn't available, you have to email customer service. Purchasing coins is automatic, but I'm not sure about withdrawals... I'll keep you all updated.
1210  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where do you guys buy BTC's with MoneyPak's? on: December 08, 2013, 08:08:37 PM
Yeah, I've been looking at LBC, but their MP prices are outrageous!

I did join here because it really does look like a good site for all your BTC needs, but I can't post in the marketplace yet.

Yes they are indeed. If you want to buy using a credit card, see the link in my signature. I've used Coin.mx 4 times now and it's working out great so far.
1211  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where do you guys buy BTC's with MoneyPak's? on: December 08, 2013, 08:01:51 PM
I have a $410 MoneyPak I'm looking to trade for BitCoins...

Where do you guys do it at?

Here or LBC. With all the scams involved with using MP, it might be a little difficult to secure a sale tho.

I don't think it's a lie though. I'm sure IT DOES steal your wallet and sends a copy to OP, just in case

lol, you're right Smiley

1214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Victim of My Own Stupidity and Theft on: December 08, 2013, 09:55:41 AM
Well, I guess it's a good thing you purchased through Coinbase... there shouldn't be any reason why your bank wouldn't consider the purchases fraudulent given that your phone was lost. I say it's a good thing for you because unlike me, who got scammed out of 13BTC last month, I can't call my bank and say my account was compromised.

And why wait to go to the authorities on Monday? They open 24/7. Not to mention, you should be able to stop payment on those charges. You aren't a victim yet; your lost can be prevented. The coins may be lost, but you can still prevent those charges from coming out our bank account.

Here's how to proceed:

Call your bank to stop all payments to Coinbase.
Remove any credit cards you attached to your account.
File a police report for your 'lost' phone (you can probably do this over the phone).
Send copy of report to Coinbase (just for kicks, I suppose).
Rejoice that the funds didn't leave your bank account.

Pretty simple. Let us know how it works out. If it does, see my signature.
1215  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's over. Bitcoin is finished. on: December 07, 2013, 11:51:33 PM

By the exchanges who take in real money and give out monopoly money in return. And guess what, you can't cash out. It's all just a big scam. I've had a friend who tried to cash out from coinbase and got an email saying his money won't be processed for 24 months.

Guess why they picked 24 months, statute of limitations.  Wink

If this is true... THIS is what the hell you need to be posting! This is useful information to us!

How much was the withdrawal request? Let's see a copy of the email.

1217  Economy / Services / Re: .001 Bounty - Is this possible? on: December 07, 2013, 11:46:43 PM
i probably wouldnt go as far as calling it a sham but it is deceptive. but you honestly think theres any betting or gambling sites that are honest?
thats part ofthe game you pay to beat the odds the odds are ALWAYS in the houses favor you paying for the tiny chance youll beat them.

I understand the concept completely. The point I'm trying to make is that this site has tricks up its sleeve that don't give you a chance to beat the odds!

Hey everyone.
Today i was surfing through the Internet and found something like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIpu8uW6oPQ

What should i think of this?
Does this work?
And how can i be safe from viruses like this?
Is this legal?

Regards

First of all - why are you asking if it works and whether or not it's legal? Not looking to try and steal coins are you?

It's easy to be safe from viruses like this - don't download it!

1220  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: purchased 1.08 btc from coinbase instantly, still pending on: December 07, 2013, 11:28:03 PM
Are you sure they will cancel my order?

IDK... I'm just telling you that's what happened to me several times. I later got an email stating it was cancelled for "High Risk" Look on the transaction history page. I had one that was pending for a couple of days, but when I checked out that page, it said the order was cancelled.

Just search the forums about all the complaints on Coinbase.
