I have a really busy day so I submitted already just so it doesn't slip my mind, but I'll for sure be using VAR for the tennis question.
__________________________________
Just an explanation - because I feel it will happen eventually. If you submit earlier and you use VAR, we will count the time of the initial submission for the freebet settlement.
Example: Player 1 submits at 14:28 Player 2 submits at 17:35 Player 1 uses VAR at 21:55
If they have the same amount of points and the same H2H scores, the early submission will still be Player 1's, irrelevant of his VAR change.

... I have a vision of weighted points for a BSFL style selections, but in fantasy mode, assigning points to scenarios. ...
Kinda too complicated. There is a middle ground there, if we make it too hardcore it will deter a lot of people. I'm mostly leaning towards the 'show your bets' system, in which we all start with 'x' of mBTC (let's say 20 for the season) and the guy with the most at the end wins the prize. All you have to do is attach your betslip with the odds. You can play ML, players to score or betbuilders - whatever you want. But there's a finite personal stake to it - so you can't go YOLO every round to catch up if you've started badly. I think we'd be able to find a sponsor for this quite easily - because betting there would be one of the requirements. We could actually ask for quite a prize pool - because if we get just 20 people to play and 15+ of them lose 20mBTC throughout the season, that's already 0.3 BTC in revenue for the sportsbook. There could be some odds boosters/free hits/fun stuff applicable through the BSFL-type system as well, where you can win bonuses for the next betting week. Organizing all of it would be quite a task though - but I do feel it'd be fun.

I'm really interested to see how Wales will do in Armenia. Armenia won 4-2 in Wales, and if they manage to do so again it will mean a great deal for Croatia's direct qualification. Wales's got everything in their own hands for now - but they also have to win against Turkey (the group's leader) in the last round.
I still can't believe we've lost 2 games in a row. I don't recall when it happened to us in qualifiers. I just hope there won't be some surprises in Latvia.

I expected a great season from Salah, but am actually surprised to see that he's the fantasy leader in terms of points collected so far. There's a lot of value in some lower cost picks, so maybe going with both Salah and Haaland is the best strategy going forward. It's one I intend to use after the next game, in which they play against each other.
TAA, Rashford and Martinelli seem to be the worst Fantasy picks so far. Luckily, I started only with one of them - but still kept him for way too long.
I was also surprised to see that 83% of the teams have Haaland. I honestly expected it to be way higher.

Congrats before page 1000 so we get freebets for the lower ranked members.
Considering that I know a lot of members from the SB team personally, there are really a lot of fond memories. Watching Arsenal from the box in great company (Trofo and Steve) might just edge the rest a bit.
Here's to 1000 more pages.

I also noticed that team cryptofrka is having a hard time adjusting to the division 1.
That's what one of the worst defences in the league will do for you. I had the same problem last year in Division 2, ended up mitigating it with the best offensive lineup. This season seems like I'll need to do the same, which is a bit harder against better opposition. Alarms are on, everyone's aware of the management expectations. I'll make the players an offer they can't refuse..

Before yesterday's game I felt great with the week - but then all hell broke loose and basically all City and Chelsea players that people are having scored a lot of points. Chelsea might be recovering a bit - I will start looking at their team as well.
This GW will be hard (City vs Liverpool, Tottenham vs Villa), but after that my team will have its first big overhaul. I'm losing way too many points due to fantasy inexperience.

First of all, it’s a pleasure to welcome Hhampuz to BSFL! He’ll start in Division 3B, Trofo explained how his fixture list will look like. Without further ado, the questions for Round 5 are here! The deadline is the usual one, Tuesday November 14th, 18:00 GMT.We have mostly Euro and World Cup qualifiers, but also some cricket, tennis and snooker. Once again – please submit on time. The first 2 seasons with our tags were perfect in that regard, lower divisions tend to forget this season without us babysitting. Remember that we can change the rules based on what we feel the competition needs, if we see that the current version of Division 3 isn’t working, we’ll simply reduce it to single Division 3 next season and fill it with people who are submitting on time. Nothing personal fellas, but show must go on and we must do what’s best for SB – so please help us keep the same format we’re having simply by submitting the answers until the deadline. We lost Bonta last round, this round we say farewell to DireWolfM14 - who's got 3 negative submissions as well. Brahim012, Kanapka and Rikafip are the ones in danger, with all of them having 2 negative points already. Kanapka - you're in Division 2 - getting there isn't easy so maybe keep your spot. If somebody new joins before the deadline, we'll slot him in the same way as Hhampuz - but after that submissions for this season are closed - there's simply no time to complete all the games. We also have some freebets to award for Round 4. The winners are:Division 1 – mv1986 (40$ freebet) Division 2 – Strongkored (30$ freebet) Division 3A - Imarios (10$ freebet) Division 3B - Omikfuse (10$ freebet) Omikfuse is a bit bizarre occurrence - he lost 3-0 due to his game being already played before (and he failed to submit in that round) - but he can still play for the freebet - which he did. jayce Harkorede LTU_btc Slissy buwaytress casperBGD cls63 cryptofrka jeremypwr leea-1334 mitchr4 mv1986 slackovic slaman29 vd309 darxiaomi chi20 ralle14 Igebotz Renato297 Trofo arallmuus bullrun2020bro dbshck famososMuertos hakan2217 notblox1 strongkored ulven vivekdkhyani Kanapka Saint-loup Coin_trader imarios BitcoinHunt3r Kokee44 LFC_Bitcoin PedroCunhaYori Rikafip Spack17 entebah navidart Dittoup ILuckyGuyI Jinetics1111 Woodie goodpunt Brahim012 GxSTxV MAAManda Omikifuse execijutiere shogun47 Danydee DireWolfM14 Hhampuz

... However I'm still holding an important advantage in my hand. I don't feel any pressure now because of believing in Faker to take his team to the finale today. ...
Damn, fair play. You went for the outsider and won the round. I've never even heard of these teams before, players on them even less, I simply went with what bookies considered better so it's actually fair that I lost. I definitely need to regroup, 1 win and 3 losses is a horrible start. _________________________________ I rated LOL question, please doublecheck it. Trofo will be able to check it later in the afternoon. We'll have the questions for Round 5 ready after the Chelsea - City game.

Liverpool - Brentford looks like 7+ goals according to the lineups. Not sure where Konate and Gomez are - I've heard nothing about them being doubtful for the game. I really hope offensively we'll have enough to win the game - survive this and then it's the international break.
To be fair to Brentford - they will be missing a few important players as well. Over 6,5 goals offers odds of 12 - I'm actually tempted to throw a few bucks at it.

Guirassy is actually a perfect hook to throw at Chelsea. If I was his agent, I'd be calling them every day selling stuff like 'you need experience, proven players, leaders..' Your team is 1 Guirassy short of a title challenge, and he's yours on a knockdown fee for only 400k a week.
Not fancy enough, agreed, but I actually watched a few games and the guy does look good. I don't see him hitting 20+ per season until the rest of his career though.

Stuttgart was one of the clear picks for me this round - they actually hammered Dortmund and the scoreline should have been bigger. Dortmund had a midweek CL game, and was playing away to an in-form team - I expected a lot more people to go with them.
@cls63, I pulled one back. Do you feel the pressure?

White with a knock today, I did not even know about that one. So, my defence is White, Estupinan, Stones (all injured), Tsimikas (probably won't start) and Coufal. Brilliant.
At least Saka played - but looks like a terrible round in the making for me.

My team really looks like shit for this GW.
Maddison, Estupinan and Stones injured, Saka doubtful for the game. Tsimikas doubtful to start. It's possible I'll play with 9 players, from which one will be Semenyo.
I have some construction going on in my apartment and no option to sit down in peace and use a wildcard. Should have done it ages ago though.

Jer je već poznat brend. Bilo da se pozitivne ili negativne vijesti vežu za to ime, o njemu se priča. A povjerenje korisnika će povratiti raznim trikovima. Jednom i zauvijek - not your wallet, not your coins. Bih li trejdao na novom FTX-u? A bi, zašto ne - koja je razlika toga i nekog Bitgeta?

cryptofrka is just doing this as a smokescreen to mask the cheating that will come later. Igebotz bad cop lurking.
Now that you speak of it - there's actually been a small change to the rules.. Added rules ... 6.) If an unlikely event occurs in which team cryptofrka is to be relegated, a newly promoted team will be found guilty of breaching some yet undefined BSFL rules and team cyptofrka will keep Division 1 status. This is especially the case if team notblox1 will be the Division 2 champion, as early results are showing so far. That team is full of dirt to dig underneath from.
Nothing really relevant for most of you though..

Thanks @notblox1! I did the same with the picks on RB Salzburg in the odds-based pool and went for an Inter Milan win in the Superbru pool. I understand cryptofrka regarding putting up some own money for the sake of making more reasonable, rational decisions. But I disagree a tiny bit here because that is why it's good how the pools are separate pools and the Superbru pool is still the one where it comes down to making decisions that are much closer to what can realistically be expected. The odds-based pool is definitely an experiment and I am trying my luck there as you guys can see and it did work for Hhampuz. It is a format in and of itself. What cryptofrka said could actually also become a format, but you'd probably not fully eliminate the issue that some people do care less about putting up their own stakes than others.
We still don't have the final results yet. Maybe someone with a solid 20+ average per round will be the winner eventually. And it also gives an extra thrill to the pool. It's kind of an element that you don't get anywhere else, putting all your stakes on rather exotic outcomes and being able to win big in exchange for a reasonable upfront paid fixed fee.
I don't mind this approach at all. It's actually more hectic which is also quite fun, because there's no way somebody would go all in on Shakhtar with real money. I'm all for competitions in which you play for something until the end, and a pool like this always gives you an outside shot to climb 30 places in 1 week against all the odds. I would like to see the other one as well though - it would be a better gauge of a bettor's form and knowledge, the results in this one will be a bit skewed - especially towards the end of the group stage when risk will be at max levels.
